Well then... Tbh I'd just ask them more in that case, but my folks were very lazy when it came to following through their threats. Although their auto setting was to be just generally shit none of the bad stuff was off the table when it came to them. Not me though I wasn't allowed to do anything. But because they were so self absorbed and unwilling to put in effort, I was able to find ways round their bs. So if it came to taking something off me I'd make out that I was really into something I didn't give much of a crap about so they'd threaten to/take that away when I was 'being disrespectful'

Just brings me back to what I'd said before... Why even give you a phone that can access the internet if that's such an issue for them? They could very easily get you a shitty one that just makes texts and calls. They exist still. It's very illogical.
No, I think we'd all have liked parents that didn't take out their issues and aggressions on us in any format.
