That long string of rolls was me critting the "mermaid"


Since I rolled a 10 total and then used followers to bump up to an 11 and then got that 9 which does that effect I vaguely mentioned in its sub-roll which means now she has one hit point left
 
Also I believe that train has already passed with Tamaerii. Since my curiosity of seeing what I could get out of critting the Dragon Maiden has been rewarded by mass amount of #REKT.


Now killing her or not is up in the air. Since I could attempt to get that one roll and bask in the hilarity and audacity of the deed and see if doing so gives progress to the advanced class pre-reqs.


Or she can be spared and I get something out of it on top auto winning this thing.


I'm open to discussion but for now I'm basking at the awesomeness of this; also I'm gonna have to get a post incorporating this turn of events
 
... You know, most people in your situation wouldn't attack the person who put them in this situation. Especially considering the danger they're in. You don't have much time.

I am curious, though. Lucius is being pretty xenophobic and stab-happy. Any reason for that, @Ixacise?
 
Hello! Yes, we're still open. We have all classes except for Oracle, which would be helpful. However, I think that any class would be helpful, although fair warning, we have two warriors, so that may not be as helpful.

I'm curious Ixacise, what makes you think you've brought the mermaid down to her last hit point? I don't recall seeing any mentions of her total HP anywhere.
 
The crit table roll which I quote: "9 You've knocked your enemy to the brink of death. Instead of dealing damage, you may reduce the target's HP to 1D6."


I rolled a 1. So whatever HP she may have had is now just at 1.

So now comes the fun meta part of seeing what can I get out sparing her outside of rescinding this challenge.


Ideas of stuff being from practical to not: Medal or some other pre-req on the advanced job list being completed, that great sword for my mission, plothooks, info, depowered named monster citizenfu, one time kill actual boss of this mission button
 
As an aside, since Maharaja isn't really very competent in combat he will let the other characters go first... which is why I haven't posted in the thread.
 
I should post about the current shenanigan that has happened IC. Perhaps I need to parlay in the IC than playing mother may in the OOC?


What I do now is I need to find some good tuneage for this moment besides Rules of Nature

@Ixacise No need. I interpreted the rolls and progressed the story along a bit. Also, Rules of Nature may be more appropriate than you realize :wink:

Besides, as an Oracle -clearly- I would be on a fantastic religious pilgrimage and then see well, what went down. Or something.
