Neat Gensous first trap gets triggered. Google the concept of Ninja Black Eggs, ie Very strong Chili pepper and glass powder.
Pretty much tries to take advantage of his acute senses to turn them (eyes/nose) as well of its Intelligence for the trick/opportunity.

you dont need to hide your actions from me for them to catch an enemy by surprise. Its my job to have the world react to your actions in a way you can then adapt and react to. With the egg having been broken and a stong smell being emitted the monkey would have recoiled but in my post instead it powerd through, dealt damage and threw your character. I'll have to rewrite my post accordingly as a result. Its important to relay your actions properly going forward to avoid such a situation developing again.

Sorry just adapting to try and make it interesting tp read/interact eith but I will be far more blatant in the future. The substitution was going to be as they were hit with a log/tag to blow and blast the material into him in gust. Them setting it up in that moment he was distracted by confusion.
The aim overall of the effect was to debuff in a sense, so limiting vision/pain distraction. Rubbing the eyes would be bad since bare hands would be covered with the stuff, and the water being less useful due to how Chilli works.
Reason she used these in particular is as a genin they would have limited access to tools, so came up with a few she could make with simple materials. Ie broken picture frames, a egg shell and a spice rack.

It's fine if you guys want to surprise or throw wrenches into your writing, in fact, I encourage it, but when it comes to items or instances where interacting with the said item will cause a major change in the store I really need to know. Like its fine to have set up a trap but the traps are not much good to you if when I make my post the character just walks over it and proceeds to beat yours senseless you know?
I won't be scamming any of you out of hits or anything just because I know the traps there. If I think the enemy would fall for such a thing I will have them fully commit to it so please feel free to be as crafty as you like, just ensure I know so I can reward such things appropriately.

Going to see what others do before she does another action to see what she can playoff. Lemon Salted Caltrops were another tool she had to use and a bit more self-explanatory. If i understood Genjutsu's correctly, if you addle/stress out a person and wear them down it makes them more likely to be successful given its harder for the target to focus/resist them ...that was the overall grand tactic on her end, hence why her non-lethal tools do have stuff on them to make them more painful, but not more leathal.
