Carmen frowned waking up to the bed being cold and got up, wandering over to him, slipping her arms around him from behind and kissing his head. “I love you. And no matter what happens today... I know that you are the best father and husband that we could ever ask for alright?” She murmured softly to him. “I love you so much.”

kevin groaned some then checked the time and swore under his breath. “I gotta go. I’m running late.” He mumbled, kissing her cheek. “Love you. See you later.” He muttered chucking clothes on and heading out

Max frowned softly as he rushed out giving a small sigh as she got up to get ready for the day herself

Tommy nodded and leaned into her some "Thanks babe." He murmured quietly

She frowned kissing his head and held onto him tightly. “I’m gonna go take a shower alright?” She murmured softly squeezing his shoulder and kissing his head before disappearing off.

Kevin got there a little late but got on with work as normal for hours until he finally got pulled into the office to see everybody in there for talks and negotiations. He was covered in scratches from training the kids and frowned when he got pulled to sit next to the council members but everyone else was standing up, frowning more when they tied his arms behind the chair, about to protest before they gagged him as well.

Tommy got there for negotiations later that Danny having brought Danny, Carmen, and Lily with him. He frowned when everything got down to business though seeing they had tied Kevin up "Hey what the hell is that far huh?!" He yelled at Ricky glaring some

Carmen frowned watching them carefully seeing Kevin was looking confused as well. “I told you on the phone Vext... this meeting is futile. I don’t wanna do it... but if you thought you were the only one with leverage think again.” He muttered nodding to the other guy and smirked seeing him press a button that seemed to send Kevin into some sort of seizure. “When we brought him in... we placed a chip in his neck. Every time my friend here pressed that button.. Kevin is going to have 200 volts blown through his body.” He smirked at tommy.

Kevin eventually sat still again but he was panting to catch his breath and only semi aware of what was happening.

Tommy went wide eyed as he watched Kevin seize up. He glared at Ricky shaking his head some "You piece of shit, what do you gain from this huh?! The humans are getting stronger and you want to sacrifice your own kind for it!" He spat shaking his head more "We just want our daughter home, you can't keep pups this far away from their parents for this long and you know it!"

Ricky chuckled and shook his head. “Oh but on the contrary. We’re working with a select group of them to get ourselves ahead... and as for the separation thing? I know that’s how your brother ended up the way he was... but he wasn’t put into programmmes to channel all the rage and strength he had... your daughter will be. And she’s gonna help us take our rightful place as head of this globe. Now that was two wrong statements so that’s two shocks for Kevin here.” He muttered motioning to the guy to go ahead.

Kevin braced himself for the pain but still seized for a minute, barely having time to catch his breath before they did it again. It took five more ‘wrong answers’ before he was completely slumped in the chair, drooling out of the gag and barely breathing, his heart was going to give out if he had to be put through another one and he stared at the floor hoping max was okay while he tried to keep his barrier up as much as he could.

Tommy shook his head as they hit Kevin with the last round glaring at Ricky "Stop it damn it! Let him go and we'll go!" He yelled knowing there was no way they could fix this right now. He rushed with Danny to get Kevin before he collapsed and sighed heavily taking him to the car looking at Carmen with saddened eyes.

She frowned getting up and helping them get him back to the car, not saying a word the whole drive back just helping Danny silently with keeping Kevin alive until they got back to the houses and she let tommy and Danny handle it, slipping away out to the lake.

Kevin groaned barely able to form words while he felt them carrying him to the youngsters house to get him near max, one arm over both their shoulders and slumped between them but he finally saw her face, frowning as her smiled turned quickly to worry when she saw the state he was in.

Max smiled as she opened the door hoping to see Kevin come home. She hadn't felt anything out of the ordinary from pain because he had the barrier up still. However when she saw him her smile quickly faded "What happened?!" She asked worriedly yelling for the youngsters to come help them and get Danny's things

Tommy helped Kevin to his house so he could be near Max taking a deep breath as she opened the door "Long story, I'll explain in once we get him stable." He muttered

Kevin frowned as they set him down on the couch and stared at Max’s face reaching for her hand but soon realised they’d pressed the button again because he lost all vision and seized up for the last time, another shock going through his body while he lay there only able to twitch and stare up at the ceiling, pained noises escaping his mouth every so often before it stopped and his heart gave out unable to take anymore.

Max followed in holding his hand whimpering as she felt him slipping "Kevin please stay don't go." She whispered before she screamed out feeling his barrier go down and all the pain hitting her at once "No no no no!" She yelled sobbing as she felt him slip from her

Danny cursed under his breath and moved max to the side a little starting efforts to get his heart going again. “Not yet Kev. Not gonna let you.” He muttered shaking his head some and worked hard with tommy until they finally got him breathing again and Danny kept trying to get him stabilised, looking at max. “Stay with him.” He told her quietly. “Long as you do he should be healed by tonight.” He told her, leaving her with tommy to explain it and Danny left to the main house to put his supplies away.

Max whimpered holding his hand tight crying quietly "Don't go yet Kev, we have so much left." She whispered pressing her forehead to his letting a few tears fall. She listened to Tommy as he explained everything giving a heavy sigh "We need to find a way to take this out." She whimpered

Tommy explained everything to Max and gave a nod shaking his head some "We will fix him up." He mumbled before he left to be with Carmen holding her close "I'm so sorry Carmen." He whimpered

Carmen frowned some resting her head on his chest. “How’s he doing?” She asked quietly, slipping her arms around him tightly.

Kevin started coming around some more and looked up at max frowning some. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled reaching for her hand and sitting up slowly and carefully

Max helped him up and kissed him gently letting a few tesrs fall "Oh god....I thought I lost you." She whispered cupping his cheeks gently as she stared at him

Tommy sighed heavily shakimg his head some "They shocked him again....he died...we got him back though." He murmured

Carmen frowned some and nodded. “Tommy
I’m not angry. Kevin is family too... we just have to go back to the drawing board and approach this one a different angle.” She mumbled but soon burst into tears holding onto him. “She was there... I know she was there.” She whimpered. “I think she was a lot closer than we assumed.” She whimpered.

he smiled a little shaking his head. “I’m not giving up on you.... I’m sorry love.... did they get the chip out?” He asked a little worried he wasn’t out the clear just yet.

Max shook her head some letting a few tears fall "No....no they werent abke to yet but we will I promise." She whispered

Tommy held her close and let a few tears fall nodding some "I know....I felt her too, I wanted to just run and find her." He whispered to her

He frowned wiping her tears and gently pulled on her to lay with him. “Why are you crying? I promise it’s gonna be okay.” He murmured.

carmen shook her head some and just held onto him tighter. “They will not listen even to reason... this has gone beyond talks in meetings.” She muttered.

Max looked at him stroking his cheek gently "I just got scared is all....I really felt it this time...I didn't want to loose you." She whispered

Tommy nodded taking a deep breath "I don't know what to do, but we need to do this soon." He mumbled

He frowned and kissed her head. “Mmm I’m still here.” He promised quietly, “I need to speak to tommy. Right now.” He told her. “It’s urgent.” He murmured trying to get out of bed to get to him but it wasn’t working so he just reached for his phone and called him.

carmen frowned holding him tightly while she sat with him, kissing his cheek. “I love you.” She Hummed softly, watching him pull his phone out to answer it then headed out with him to go see Kevin, sighing quietly.

Max helped him sit up more and grabbed his phone for him just keepimg his hand in hers while he called Tommy. She frowned softly keeping close to him when they arrived but stayed quiet when he started to talk

Tommy sat there with her and gave a heavy sigh. He frowned as his phone started going off flashing Kevin's number. He quickly answered and got up to head over there letting Carmen follow if she wanted to

Kevin frowned some shaking his head. “That didn’t work... clearly.... it’s time to get my family here.... you stopped getting your daughter back for my sake.... this is what I can do for you.” He told him.

carmen frowned and swallowed some. “We would really be forever grateful for it.” She murmured squeezing Tommy’s arm.

Tommy gave a small nod taking a deep breath "You don't have to do this Kevin....I know how estranged you are with them..we can figure something else." He said but soon nodded when Kevin insisted.

Max listened quietly waving goodbye to them when they left soon after she looked at him cuddling close "You need anything love?" She asked softly while she traced his chest tattoos

He sighed a little. “I need to call my father.” He murmured and kissed her cheek “Weres are not the only supernatural kind with their own hierarchy system.” He mumbled. “Shapeshifters do too. Except most of us have a major superiority complex around weres.” He chuckled quietly, burying his face into her shoulder.

carmen walked back home with him going to the kitchen to start getting something to eat.
