Carmen frowned flinching as it smashed but noticed very little liquid came out and just shook her head at Tommy. “Why? Why would you do that?” She whimpered meaning the drinking. “I don’t....” she cut herself off and walked out of there to go get some fresh air. Her life was falling apart around her and it terrified her that they would never get their little girl back.

Kevin popped into the kitchen and kissed her cheek. “I’m going in to the council. I should be back later alright? We’ll talk then.” He murmured.

Tommy took a deep breath and left quickly shifting trying to get out of his head and get everything straight. He needed to get back to himself.

Max nodded some and kissed his cheek gently "Be careful okay? Please ask about Darcie if you can...I got a feeling if we don't get her back soon things will fall apart here." She mumbled

He just nodded and squeezed her hand before leaving.

Carmen ignored him as she made her way to the lake holding onto one of Darcies favorite rags, sitting down by the waters edge and letting her feet dip in.

Tommy ran around some letting his anger run out before he lay next to Carmen whimpering lightly as he nudged Darcie's blanket

Kevin made his way over there and signed in, waiting in the lobby until Ricky came to collect him. “Before I do anything for you.... I need two things.... first off.... where is tommy and carmens kid? Why can’t they see her?” He questioned him. “And secondly... Tara is dead.” He muttered.

Carmen frowned not even acknowledging him while they sat there, both of them being less than attentive until they were hearing footsteps heading towards them and carmen tensed up when she saw Maggie walking through the trees with a whole bunch of men with her as well. “Tommy.” She muttered. In their dazed state they’d been surrounded.

Ricky chuckled some shaking his head "You are in no position to make commands but if you must know, these children are the be deprived of every emotion, they need to be heartless in their work...shame to hear about Tara, she was a promising experiment."

Tommy grunted and frowned seeing Maggie there quickly getting into alpha stance as he growled at her making sure they didnt hurt Carmen

Kevin glared at him. “So you tear their parents apart for that. All you’re going to do is turn your own fucking people against you.” He spat at him.

Carmen frowned as they started closing in. “What the hell do you people want?! We are just like the rest of you. We have never killed any of your kind. We hunt animals. That is it!” She snapped at them, frowning feeling Tommy pushing her back some.

Maggie laughed shaking her head. “Oh this one isn’t on us.... see I realised where my problem was.... and then someone approached me and helped me see what needed to happen.... so this isn’t to take you away from your pack or whatever.... this is a spark to light the flame. This is where it begins.” She told them both and glanced up to someone standing on the bank on the other side of the lake, pointing a gun at carmen before he pulled the trigger twice on her, getting her in the back and watching her drop. During Tommy’s panic Maggie motioned for all of her people to head out and left the way they came.

Tommy howled as he felt the pain radiate through him anf quickly looked over Carmen not seeing them leave. He shifted quickly rushing her inside screaming for help as he got to the infirmary "No...no Carmen stay!" He yelled as he felt her slipping "HELP GODDAMN IT!!" He yelled to Danny

Ricky shrugged "They'll see, once the humans turn on us they'll see why we need to train so young." He explained

She was fading in and out the whole time barely registering Tommy’s voice or anything around her except at one point where she heard Danny telling tommy they couldn’t help her there. They needed to get her to a hospital. This was beyond his expertise and she blacked out again after that not waking up that time, making it halfway in the back of their van before she lay still in Tommy’s arms.

Kevin glared at him. “You’re gonna start it yourself aren’t you? This was never about making our lives easier. This was always about getting our kind on top. About taking over!” He yelled at him now they were in rickys office.

Ricky chuckled some and smirked "Look whose finally understanding!" He said in a cocky tone "About time you caught up."

Tommy yelled out in pain as she layed still in his arms shaking his head some "No no...Carmen wake up!" He yelled trying CPR on her or anything to wake her up

Charlie glanced back for a moment and saw what was going on putting his foot down then and took her straight to the hospital, helping tommy get her inside and let them take over, staying with tommy in the reception area just watching him.

Kevin glared at him. “And how the hell do you plan to start this war??” He snapped at him.

Tommy sat there shaking and taking a deep breath "Im gonna kill em....I gonna kill all of them." He muttered not in his right mind at all

Ricky chuckled and sat down kicked back and relaxed "Well your little upir play thing sent out the first shot, now right now? Im waiting on confirmation that the second one got fired."

He glared at him shaking his head. “You make me sick.” He spat at him staring shocked when he heard a knock on the door and watched Maggie walk in. “You’re insane. You’re actually insane!” He yelled at him.

He shook his head and crouched in front of him, getting his hoodie off him and just tried to get him to focus. “What happened?” Charlie asked while Danny walked out to them from the emergency room having been giving them help on how to work with one of their kind. “Tommy...”

Ricky shrugged some and smirked as Maggie came in "Oh look, seems like the second bullet dropped." He said shooing Kevin out

Tommy took deep breath shaking his head some "Maggie....she showed with her crew they shot her.." hw whispered looking at Danny

Danny frowned stepping over to them and sighed heavily. “It’s not looking good.” He mumbled. “They got them out but man those are some kind of specially crafted bullets, it’s been leaking silver into her bloodstream, we’ll be lucky if she makes the night.... go be with her, she’s just starting to wake up.” He told him quietly.

Kevin frowned and headed to where he was supposed to check in at and did a class on sparring with a group of teenagers there before starting to head home.

Tommy nodded and ran to her room. He walked in and took her hand into his letting a few tears fall "God Carmen I'm so sorry...they're going to pay for this, I promise." he muttered kissing her hand gently

Max looked at Kevin as he came home and frowned "Carmen's been shot...they rushed her to the hospital." she murmured taking a deep breath

She frowned laying there in agony and just gripped at his hand as much as she could not saying anything, not having the energy to speak but gently pulled on his hand for him to come closer just trying to sit up a little more, laying there quietly for a while until she finally managed to talk to him. “I’m scared.” She mumbled holding onto him as much as she could.

Kevin nodded slowly and sat down at the kitchen counter, burying his face in his hands. “I know... I’ve been.... well...” he sighed heavily and stood up wrapping his arms around her tightly and kissed the top of her head. He knew she was still holding him at arms length a little but right now he just wanted to know she was safe. “They’re trying time start a war. This was never about making our lives easier and letting us live more openly. This was always about taking over.” He told her.

Max frowned and held him as well shaking her head some "I think it started today..." she muttered taking a deep breath as she held onto him "What do they have you doing Kevin?" She said quietly stroking his cheek gently seeing how tired he looked

Tommy nodded taking a deep breath "So am I." He whispered kissing her cheek and laying next to her making sure he took some of the pain off of her "Rest, I'm going to fix this."

He frowned some and just nodded at her. “I know it did. Maggie showed up right after it all happened.... I’m not... I can’t tell you.” He mumbled. “Physically I can’t tell you. They’ve placed an order on me.” He muttered.

Carmen frowned laying quietly with him just trying to stay resting trying to heal up but she could still feel the silver burning through her system and she knew tommy could feel her slowly slipping away a little more.

Max frowned giving a small nod "Oh...okay?" She said not fully understanding what he meant at all. She was still learning all the rules about their kind and the council stuff was not well taught to her.

Tommy whimpered softly as he felt her slipping keeping her close to him "Don't go okay? I'll get her back for us and we'll try for another soon, and we can have a whole bunch of babies and grow old together." He whispered

He frowned and sighed quietly not able to get the words out but thanked his lucky stars that lily was in the kitchen grabbing a drink. ‘They’ve made sure he won’t be able to tell you anything about the job they’ve given him. They want to keep it a secret. He won’t be able to answer no matter how many times you ask. You could be torturing him and he wouldn’t be able to speak.’ He just nodded and held her tightly to him still.

Carmen frowned resting her head on his shoulder. “Tommy... I’m sorry.” She whimpered a bit, the pain getting worse. “I should.... I should have said.” She mumbled.

Max gave a small nod and sighed heavily "Well...we'll find a way to make this all work out." She murmured to him pushing some hair from his face "Now let me finish up dinner yeah?" She said softly to him

Tommy frowned pressing a finger to her lips "Shh shh shhh don't wear yourself out okay? Its gonna be okay." He whispered kissing her forehead gently

He nodded and kissed her forehead gently before moving away to go catch up with Danny and find out what was going on with tommy and carmen.

She shook her head. “No... no I should... have said.... I didn’t... I saw it.” She whimpered shaking now as the pain got much worse, her monitors picking up on her extra stress

Tommy shook his head frowning more as her monitors spiked "Carmen stop its okay I promise you gotta relax." He whispered getting up when the nurse came in

Max sighed heavily looking at Lily "I told him to treat me like a mate this time like you told me too....he got a bit pissed but, I think he might have got the message." She said quietly

Lily nodded and frowned not really paying much attention but sighed a little. “Watch him like a hawk you understand? The slightest personality change and you tell someone.l she told her firmly.

Carmen frowned trying to relax but she was in so much pain by this point starting to slip away even more, frowning some when the nurses didn’t even seem to know how to help her, not having had to treat a were before and she started blacking out, the silver beginning to reach vital organs.
