Fantasy Katta & Lexa's fairytales

Kel smiled "yeah... He's sweet don't you think?" his eyes was gleaming with mischief as he said it. Kel looked at Varg "how long have you... Well not taken a human form?" He asked, changing his original question to something he also did wonder about. But not what he was aching to ask.

"Oh, it's been a while... I've been many different people these past centuries, different people, and different faces. My last face was that of wolf. I needed a break from people, a long one."
He studied the water for a moment, then looked at Kel to say "Did you ever doubt yourself? All those times for these past ten years you've spoken to me, and even shouted at me. Did you ever think perhaps you were wrong, and nothing was there? Do you regret the secrets you've shared now that you see you were right?"

Kel almost laughed and looked at him sideways "the past ten years? No. Never when I did speak to you. But for fuck sake you could have well... Spoken back? And for the secrets, I don't think so. It depends on you. But yet I haven't told you everything. True secrets never really gets spoken. It weights on the heart, unable to escape. A secret kept to long to oneself, becomes a part of you and can never be released. So you tell me, should I regret saying what I have? Or would it have been worth it regardless? " Kel frowned, that got his mind on a track he rather not think to much on. "I never did know the degree of intellect you had when you were... formless" He was looking at the water, his gaze far away "Ten years huh?"

These years had flown. He had never seen Kel like this. Watching him had been like reading a story, not meant to be disturbed. Keeping tracks of the beings in the forest was simply a routine. Most didn't notice him as obviously as Kel, but to step out had been unthinkable, until suddenly, for reasons even Varg couldn't quite understand, he had.
"For something to move both so fast and so slowly at the same time, is truly strange. Now, what are your plans for the boy?"

Kel looked to see where Soren was. Before he shifted his gaze to Varg. "my plans?" Kel raised an eyebrow, he didn't like where the conversation was going. Most because he wanted to keep Soren here to himself for a while. He thought about what the most honest reason for that was, without making it prettier than it really was. "I could make excuses. Saying he has something else to him. That I would like be a part of his development. But as you might have guessed, he's amuses me and I just want to keep him for a bit. Mostly because I've gotten lonely. Taking care of a cub for a bit isn't by far the worst thing I could have done. " Kel sight and glanced at the water. "you don't approve?"

"I appreciate your honesty," Varg said, with a smile. "But he might die here. Wouldn't you feel guilty?"

Kel looked at Varg and studied him as he thought "I'll take care of him?" he suggested like he tried to convince someone he could have a pet. And at the same time dogging the question.

Varg had a skeptical look on his face.
"Well... You make your choices. I suppose I could help you keep an eye on him," he said.

Kel smiled and looked at Varg "Then I don't see a problem. Let's ask the boy." he was mostly happy about the fact Varg was staying.

Valla had walked in through another passage much further away in the mountain chain, it was mostly used by the dwarfs. She knew her way well and had no problem getting there. For once She planned on visiting Kel without any other reason to go there. She realized she had seen Kel very rarely the past year.

After walking for a few hours she was almost there. Surprised to see someone unfamiliar, she drew her knife and approached "what are you doing here?" She demanded to know from Soren

Soren turned towards the voice, and saw a woman; a woman he had seen before. Her name was Valla, and she was a known hunter and protector of the village. He had even treated her a couple of times, when assisting the herbalist, and remembered one certain thing about her; she was tough.
"Hey," he said nervously, tensing up at the sight of the knife. "I... I don't know. I was just getting some water."

Valla eased up when she saw Soren's face and put the knife away. She knew him, to a degree, and was happily surprised to se him here. "Oh, it's you, you're the apprentice, right?" she grinned and sat down next to him "what a peculiar place to see you. Isn't it beautiful here?" She asked both excited and happy to see a familiar kind face. She alway liked Soren, though it would hardly seem like she did. And she knew she hadn't been the best patient.

Soren smiled and tried to relax. He was happy to see her, but it came as quite a surprise- home seemed so far away from here.
"I am," he said, surprised that she recognized him. "It really is, I've never seen anything like this place before."

Valla smiled "maybe it isn't any other place's like this?" she suggested and gave a friendly smile "how have you been? Have you seen a lot?" Valla asked curiously. Wondering what Soren might have come across. She remembered her first time this deep into the woods as a rough and hard night. It was many years ago. And she was glad she got through it, or she would never have met Kel, or have the life she had now.

Soren wondered for a moment about what he should answer. How he'd been? He didn't know. But he sure felt like he had seen alot, at the same time as he felt he had seen only a glimpse of a new world.
"I've been... Fine. You should meet my..-" he wondered for a second what he should call Kel.
Before he could decide, he heard someone approaching. It was Kel and Varg.

Kel smiled brightly when he saw Valla "You two know each other?" he asked them

Valla got up "Hi Kel. And yes, a little bit." she replied and gave him a quick hug "you haven't traumatised him, have you?" Valla asked and looked at Soren

Kel hesitated "I.. Don't know, there was some complications."

Valla nodded and studied Varg scepticaly "who, or what is that?"

Valla hesitated before she shook his hand. "Valla"

Kel sat down next to Soren and stroked his hair "are you alright?"

Soren was surprised by his touch, but he didn't resist. He liked the feeling.
"I'm fine," he said, and blushed a bit. "How do you know eachother?" he asked Valla.

Soren nodded. He was so tired, and being close to Kel had a calming effect. He leaned his head on his shoulder.

Kel looked at Varg "maybe we should wait to tomorrow?" he asked and glanced at Soren "he could use the strength"

Kel smiled "just some simple questions, you just sleep" Kel told him and stroked Soren's hair.

Kel wasn't completely rested himself, but he wasn't sleepy. Tired in general, maybe. And not fully restored yet either. So he should keep a low profile. But since Soren was the person he considered he had to use his attention on firstly, it would open a door for him if the boy fell asleep. A window to engage with Varg and Valla. which he was very curious about. Valla, because he wanted to know what had happened since last time. And Varg, because of plenty of reasons. He knew nothing about Varg, and it bothered him a lot. He had waited for an irritably long time for the opportunity to actually converse and interact with Varg, that it made him nuts it had to be at such a horrible timing and circumstances. Though he would try to get the best out of it.
