The Altruist
"Asswipe." She would heartily chuckle as she repeated Jace's words ridiculing Alex. Although she hadn't really known Alex, Emmeline has heard quite a bit about his notorious attitude. Then again, she didn't really converse with the rest of the survivors living in the school. Emmeline was like the ghost of the school; always keeping to herself and hidden behind the crowd. "I'm like a loner too, I guess. Loner buddies then?" Emmeline would half-joke but sincerely say, giving him a bit of a nudge with her pointed elbow when she scooted closer to his side. Jace was a good guy because she knew that he took great care of his sisters. Emmeline respected Jace in that way, but she never had the courage or sociable personality to tell him how much she admired his benevolence. Realizing that the two gardeners were finally chit-chatting, the blonde woman hid her obvious blush behind the lengthy golden veil of her hair. "Anyways, I think it'll work. Doesn't hurt to try, right? And Alex is somewhat reasonable." Emmeline softly spoke as she overlooked the garden with a glimmer in her eyes. She had to admit, she saw the better side of people. Emmeline always believed that there's a good side to a bad side and vice versa. Without one or the other, the balance of nature would be corrupted, though it seemed as if nature was already dead by the looks of it. The apocalypse tested survivors by forcing them to determine what a human life is worth. It's either kill or be killed in this harsh reality now. Emmeline chose to kill, and it only made her sanity worse when recounting the total of both walkers and humans she's killed. Her will to survive was strong, but how long could that endurance last? This thought caused her to clench her chest while her other hand rested atop her forehead. "When do you want to ask?" She asked Jace, not leaving her distant gaze from the green vines of the garden.
