Realistic or Modern Just Survive Somehow (A zombie rp)

Alyssa waited for around forty five minutes for Romanova because they agreed to go hunting together. She finally gave up and picked up her crossbow off the ground and headed out. She thought to herself how somebody just stood her up like that, but then she realized that it didn't matter. All that mattered was that the job gets done and everybody comes home safe. Alyssa's mom taught her how to handle herself so she is not worried about going hunting alone. She started off East, the same way Blake went but then turned into a small clearing in the forest that was about a mile down. She walked very quietly around the forest, making sure not to step on any leaves or twigs. As she rounded a ginormous oak tree, she spotted a squirrel. She stopped walking and eased into position. As she aimed her crossbow she held her breath. Right as she shot the arrow, she let go of her breath. The arrow flew right into the squirrel's tail, trapping it on the tree. Alyssa walked closer to the squirrel with another arrow primed and thought how bad it was for the little guy. She picked him up and "took care of him", then she scooped him into her hand-made pouch. She continued through the forest making sure not to disturb any animals or ghouls. Blake and her termed the word "ghoul" for the zombies, they though it was funny. Alyssa always thought to make good of any situation.

Blake walked down the road for around 2-3 miles and started climbing as the road went into an upwards angle. He didn't really find the walking tough because of all the running he did in high school, he actually liked it. He was almost at the peak of the hill when he heard an alarm. He swung his head around and tried to figure out where it was coming from. He concluded it was coming from beneath the hill peak. He ran to the top of the peak, because now noise doesn't matter. He reached the peak and took the landscape in. Another 1/8 mile it looked like until a suburban town. Now he knew that the car alarm was coming from one of the cars in the suburbs. He knew it was dangerous to go into the suburbs now that the alarm is blaring, but he was thinking of the big picture. What happens if a horde reaches the suburbs? The ghouls will only be not even 3 miles away. He made a decision that he should stop the car alarm. He started to sprint down the road as it peaked downwards, Blake picking up more speed than he needed. He looked around and saw no ghouls yet, which was good. He made it to the entrance of the suburbs and the concrete sign with dead flowers piled around it read "Meadow Hills". Blake caught his breath and ran down the sidewalk, making sure to take in his surroundings just in case he had to make a quick escape. He designated that the alarm was inside a development a little less than a block away. The alarm ringing inside his ears as he tried to regain his composure. He continued to walk towards the sound.

Alex continued to examine the small dog, running his fingers over healing scars and noticing the infection touched wounds that ran all through the dog's fur. After a few moments, he heard footsteps growing close and turned to see Sam walking towards him. He noticed the sick look on Sam's face and realized she had puked upon coming in. The smell was truly unbearable, and Alex felt bad for even calling her in. Once she got close, her eyes seemed to spark with surprise and hope. She stood by his side examining the scene, bowing her head slightly when she saw the mother dog. "We need something to get them to the van." he said looking up at her. He could carry the mother dog alone easily, but the puppies would need to be put inside something together.

Sam took a moment to think about it before hopping up and running out of the dog room. She lifted the heavy bags that they had just packed up and dragged them out the front door of the place, and pulled open the van's back doors before beginning to pour everything out of the bags. It took a lot of effort on her part, seeing as each bag was packet full with supplies. She was so busy doing this that she almost didn't hear the loud footsteps coming from behind her. Fortunately, she was young and her hearing hadn't failed her yet. She grabbed a metal can of dog food and turned quickly, seeing that the walker was a mere 2 steps away, she acted fast. She took the can and cupped it in both hands tightly before ramming it into it's skull. Needless to say, it didn't do much damage, but it did give her room to get back into the building. She ran back inside and shut the door behind her. Alex had already carried the mother in the main room and was now searching for something for the puppies.

"There's a walker outside." she said breathing heavily from the run and going over to pet the mother again. "I can handle that. Where's the food?" he asked looking at the bag that Sam had hanging off her elbow. "I dumped it into the van. I'll use this and put the puppies in here. It's not plastic so they should be fine." she said and began walking to the back. She scooped each puppy up, and carefully placed them beside one another once they were in the bag. Once it was full she lugged it slowly back to the mainroom. Alex had already cleared out the single walker and was carrying the dog to the van. He sat her down carefully and took the heavy bag away from Sam and set it inside also.

Sam got into the back with the animals to watch over them as Alex got into the drivers seat. Alex drove slowly, making his way back home.

Once there, Sam jumped out and went back to her family's dorm so people would not know that she had traveled with Alex that day. Alex walked over to the guard Hudson. "Where'd leader go? I've got quite the load in the van!" he yelled up to her.

Artorias decided that he was done waiting around, "Sorry hope, I gotta go, I have some scientist duties that need attending to." He gave the little girl a thumbs up and scooped up Mew, "Meow!" Mew said his goodbyes to Hope and settled into Artorias' quiver. Artorias walked out of the cafeteria and made his way back to his office, which was literally just the nurses office. He claimed that as his personal quarters, he sleeps in the far back corner that has his bed as well as a military locked trunk that held his belongings, nothing valuable save for the sentimental value they hold. A lab work station he uses as his desk as well as a work bench for when hes running his experiments; hes got all the cabinets in the office filled to the brim with beakers, flasks, and test tubes, other equipment like a few microscopes and slides. The microscopes he couldnt take, he disassembled and took the parts to be used as spare parts should his current microscope need repairs; all the lab equipment he could scavenge from the science labs within the school really, as well as a large detailed periodic table which he has mounted on the right wall. With them living in the zombie apocalypse, he had to be extra careful and make sure none of the glassware broke; nobody left with the skill to make laboratory grade glass equipment, and nobody else other than him and his researchers with the proper know how on how to handle and use the equipment, which he has locked with a heavy grade lock and has the only key on him in a special place on him thats near his guns firing pin and spring. He was about to walk in when, "Grrrr..." Artorias turned his head to see that Mew was leaning out of his quiver and facing the outside, "What is it Mew? Do you smell something off?" Mew rarely growls, the last time he did, it was because a dog had tried to make off with their food at their old campsite before they found sanctuary. Mew turned to Artorias, "Meow!" and turned back towards the door. "Alright buddy, lets go take a look shall we?" "Mow!" Mew purred and Artorias made his way to the entrance, upon exiting he saw that Alex had gotten back from his scavenging, "Hopefully he has my salt..." Artorias made his way to Alex, he could feel Mew's fur rise as he drew closer to him, 'What the heck has got Mew so spooked?' He was curious as to why Mew was behaving like this right now. "Alex? Did you happen to find any of that salt?" he asked as he approached the scavenger.
