Realistic or Modern Just Breathe

Clay woke up and groaned some before he started to panic not seeing Carmen there "Where is she?!" He asked but soon sighed a bit in relief when JD explained it all "Is she okay? Do they know what happened?"

Max hugged him the best she could with Matthew in her arms and sighed heavily. As they finally got home she got Matthew to bed before she went to their room "Jon....I'm not...I'm not going to ask but just...if you need to talk this out please talk to me."

"No they've taken her in but they might have answers by the time you get there." He sighed a little and helped him up, taking him down there.

Carmen ended up being really up and down over the next few months but they'd finally got her to a point where they were going to be takijng her in for surgery to start recovering and while she was nervous, she was excited to get her life back. Her and Clay were driving a couple hours north so she was curled up in bed watching him pack his bag, "Your mom has all the information right?" She asked him for the hundredth time

Jon just nodded to her. Over the next three months it just seemed to get worse. Not once had he shown any agression to her or Matthew but he was struggling to keep himself in check while at the same time being in denial that he needed any help at all, hoping it would just go away but he knew from the past that it was never gonna happen like that

Clay gave a small nod and sighed a bit as he got the last of his things packed "Yeah she does." He murmured frowning some as his phone went off and quickly rejected the call. He yawned some and moved to lay with her cuddling up close. He was so worn out as of late but he was also concerned. Carmen was getting better but this surgery was very risky and he was worried something might go wrong with it.

Max sighed heavily as she cleaned up the house for their up coming little party watching as Jon playing with Matthew in the living room. He had been getting worse in the past few months. He had been getting into little scrap fights here and there and also challenging people quite often if they pissed him off. She was starting to get tired of it amd she knew it was only a matter of time before it was turned on them.

She smiled a little and ran her fingers through his hair soothingly "Mmm... I love you." She murmured tiredly, "I thought we could get take out with the kids tonight seeing as I'm not gonna be allowed food tomorrow night." She murmured, kissing his cheek. He’d been a little distant the past couple weeks and she was worried about him. Worried he was just working himself way too hard.

Jon frowned and picked his phone up when it rang, sighing heavily as he listened to the voice on the other end, mumbling a thank you before hanging up and looked over at max when she came in. “Back to the drawing board. Didn’t like my audition.” He muttered, rubbing his face and picking Matthew up when he reached for him.

Clay smiled some and gave a small nod "Yeah that sounds good." He murmured giving a small sigh. He was scared this wouldn't work, that he would officially loose his wife to this and because of this instead of being there he had started to withdrawl. Take himself out thinking it would hurt less.

Max sighed softly as Jon picked up their son and gave a small nod "Well it'll be okay babe. You'll get the next one yeah? You've been getting a lot of requests." She said trying to stay positive

He nodded "I know, I just.... It's frustrating." He muttered quietly, taking MAtthew to go put him down for his nap then headed back down to Max again, slipping his arms around her, kissing her head.

Carmen smilee "Get some sleep, I'm gonna go see the little ones." She murmured, getting up and heading down to find them in the pool out back, going to sit down on the edge, just watching them happily "Hands up who wants bbq and who wants pizza?" She called to them.

Max nodded softly and rubbed circles on his chest as he came back downstairs "I love you." she said softly kissing him lovingly before she moved some and straddle his waist "Maybe I can help take your mind off of things?" she teased before running her hands up his chest

Javi gasped when he saw his mom and did his best to swim over to her "Look at me mommy!" he squealed before holding onto the wall "Ooo BBQ mommy! BBQ!" he said excitedly before looking at his siblings pouting when they said Pizza "Aww but mommy we always have pizza."

He smiled and pulled her in closer "Oh yeah? What did you have in mind?" He grinned at her.

Carmen smiled and watched him some "Sorry baby, democracy wins but when I get home, first takeout we get can be bbq." She promised him, kissing his head and moved to get up and go order it.

Max smirked some and undid his pants "Mmm I have a few ideas, but first you have to meet me in the bedroom." she said before getting up and rushing to their room throwing her clothes all over the place on her way.

Javi smiled happily at her and nodded some "Mommy look! I helped Bea get further out see!" he said happily before he swam to his sister and took her hands "Come on Bea! Lets show mommy!" he said happily while Giullia stood behind Bea to help her out

He groaned a little and jumped up, rushing after her and pinned her to the bed once he got there "Oh nice try getting away." He grinned, kissing every bare spot her could find.

Carmen smiled "Good job guys... Hey, where's Alana?" She frowned, looking around but nodded and got up when Giulia said she went to her room with one of the dogs, going inside to go see her middle child, heading up to her room and went to sit on her bed with her "Hey princess, you okay?"

Max lay with him afterwards panting softly and smiling a bit at him "Mmm I love you." she murmured holding him close to her "So what are we wanting to do for Matthew's birthday? I can't believe its almost been a year."

Alana looked up at her mom and frowned some holding her dog close "Hi....I'm okay." she mumbled before looking away from her. She had been the most quiet about all of this, but she was probably hurting the worst. She was too much like her father in that way, always keeping quiet about how she really felt.

He smiled tiredly and rest his head against her, taking her hand and kissing her palm gently, "Mmm... I figured we'd be having family over for a bbq... Maybe take him to the zoo or something?" He suggested quietly, closing his eyes "He's gonna be walking before we know it. He was trying a lot yesterday." HE murmured

Carmen smiled and kissed her head, wrapping her arms around heer "Uh huh... And that's why your book is wet huh? Come on princesa, talk to me. You know it's not good to put it in a bottle." She murmured, kissing her head and holding her tightly. "It's gonna be okay. No matter what happens this week, it's gonna be okay." She promised

Max gave a smile and nodded a bit "Yeah I like that idea a lot. Get him a little cake too." she said happily as she cuddled up close to him. She pouted when he mentioned him walking and gave a small nod "He is growing up too fast! I want him to stay this small forever." she said softly

Alana shook her head some and burst into tears as she held her mom tightly "No! Mommy what if you die?! What are we going to do?! I don't want to get a new mommy, I want it to be all of us like it was before you got sick." she sobbed not wanting to let her go.

Carmen frowned, shaking her head and held her close, starting to rock her gently, "Hey, hey, hey.... I'm gonna be just fine... I'll be home before you know it too... But even if I wasn't... Your Daddy loves you kids very very much. And I don't think he'd be thinking about getting you a new mommy anytime soon." She promised her "But you don't have to worry about that because I'm gonna be just fine." She promised, kissing her head

Jon smiled tiredly and shrugged "I don't mind the growing up. Get him a little more independent so the dogs can watch him a little more." He chuckl;ed quietly, yawning big and stretching out before getting up to put clothes back on

Alana held her close shaking her head some "But mommy....if you...if you don't make it...Daddy is going to be sad, and Giullia is going to be helping us." she murmured letting her know finally her fears about her mother dying "I don't want to be left a lone with Daddy...what if he leaves us? What if he forgets about us?"

Max gave a small nod and laughed lightly "Yeah you have a point." she murmured before she got up to get dressed. She went to check in on Matthew and smiled happily seeing Venus laying by his crib to watch him "Good girl." she said softly as she came over to get petted

Carmen frowned and held onto her tightly, rocking her gently and kissing her head over and over "Alana, sweetheart." She murmured, trying to calm her down until she was just sniffling "It's okay, Your Daddy is never going to leave you or forget about you... Even if one day me and Daddy split up which is never gonna happen... but if it did... He loves you kids so so much... You know that your Daddy was the first one to hold you?" She asked her quietly, "I was really sick after you were born and Daddy spent every night in the hospital with you instead of me." She murmured.

Matthew was bouncing a little in his crib, holding onto the side and babbling to get out, reaching up for her but in the process fellonto his butt and. started crying from the shock of falling over.

Alana wiped her eyes and sniffled a bit "Really?" She asked watching her some "I don't want to loose you mommy." She whispered

Max smiled some and went over to her son picking him up "Oooh you're okay, you're okay." She said softly before kissing all over his face making him giggle

"You're not going to baby." She promised, kissing her head and wiped her cheeks gently, "And really... I know that Bea requires a lot of attention sometimes and don't you EVER tell her I said this or any of your siblings for that matter.... But you are your Dad's favorite." She smiled a little. "I don't have favorites but your Dad can't help himself." Shhe giggled quietly, kissing her head "Come on, we're getting pizza." She told her.

Jon frowned some as he walked in "What happened?" He muttered, getting Venice up and taking the dog downstairs "You should let him cry sometimes. Don't just cuddle him every damn time. He's already spoilt with it. He screamed the whole drive down to the bank and back the other day cause I wouldn't pick him up. I don't want him learning that when he cries he gets picked up." He muttered

Max frowned a bit at his attitude and sighed heavily "He fell in his bed, I'm sorry that this is how I try to get him to know he is just fine." She muttered before she pushed past him and went downstairs to get dinner started.

Alana giggled softly and smiled some "Okay mommy." She murmured softly before getting up and carrying her little dog downstairs "Come on Momo lets go get food."

He rolled his eyes and took the dogs out back to do their business, going to sit down on the porch swing, lighting a cigarette and just stretched out his muscles, watching the dogs muck about.

Carmen smiled and watched her go, going to wake up Angel, frowning a little when he chucked his phone on the bed the moment she walked into the room like he'd been caught with hsi hand in the cookie jar "Hey, kids are redy for dinner, pizza is ordered, come on down." She murmured, slipping her arms around his waist once he stood up

Max sighed heavily as she placed Matthew in his highchair letting him play with a few toys as she made dinner. She went out to Jon once it was done and frowned a bit seeing another cigarette at hand "Food is ready babe, I'll make you a plate." She said before going inside.

Clay heard the door start to open and quickly closed everything on his phone chucking it onto the bed at lightening speed. He looked at Carmen and gave a small nod before he wrapped his arms around her "Alright sounds good, they have fun swimming?"

She nodded and leaned into him smiling tiredly. “I told you they wouldn’t get tired of it.” She smiled. “And Bea is getting really good at swimming without her floaters. Jarvis been teaching her.” She smiled tiredly.

He nodded tiredly and kissed her head, making his way into the house, putting the cigarette out and went to sit down, kissing matthews head smiling at him some.

Clay chuckled softly and gave a small smile "Thats good to hear." He murmured before he started to walk down with her to get food ordered

Max smiled softly as Matthew squealed some and stuck his hand out to give Jon a piece of bread "He wants to share with you."

Jon rolled his eyes. “Mommy likes staring the obvious huh.” He muttered, taking the piece of bread and popped it in his mouth, tickling matthews tummy.

carmen smiled tiredly and nodded, heading down and having one final night of peace and quiet with her kids and husband as a family unit. She just didn’t know it yet.

Max frowned more at his response and soon fell silent as she ate. Once she was done she took her things to the sink and washed it off "I'm taking a shower, watch him until I'm done." She muttered before leaving the room.

Clay sat with everyone having a nice peaceful evening. He had missed this so much and it scared him to think Carmen could be gone by tomorrow.
