Jörmungandr IC

Adrenias got word, or more fittingly clicks, that in the crowd that was used to be lord Marik's ball were the most injured. So he simply swallowed up his pride of using whatever is happening as an excuse to see the Liliana once again he ran toward the ball helping anyone injured on the way. He had notes on how many were injured, how they were injured and who they were injured. he had conflicting bouts of emotion when he heard Liliana wasn't injured though, did that make him a cruel person? He shook that thought aside as he saw a man clutching a bloody arm and ran to him to fix him up. It wasn't a all too serious injury and fixed him up quite fast. With a thanks Adrenias went running off toward the crowd once again.

Upon reaching the crowd Adrenias noted that most of the heaviest injuries were carried off into the clinic while some of the lighter ones carried themselves. "so much for being a hero." looking about once more he saw a man in a fancy suit laying on the floor but Adrenias decided it would be a bad idea to help him with that scary body guard standing by him. There was a sound of a little girl crying and Adrenias ran off and found her balling her little eyes out. "whats wrong?" She didnt look injured, pretty unscathed.. "Wheres your mother?" The girl pointed behind Adrenias but he sighed as his pet spider relayed what was behind him. ;three people one female, armed; With only a few seconds to think he thought of his options, start running or fight. Who was he kidding? Adrenias wasnt much of a fighter and he had no weapons with him. well his spider was near.

Adrenias started to bolt forward pass the girl and the three figures behind him followed. "Give me a route!" With many many clicks the spider gave him directions to get out and lose them however one of them was particularly fast and got a little too close for comfort. Jumping and turning around Adrenias swung his pretty heavy suitcase and 'accidentally' hit his persuader square into the face sending him careening into the floor. Adrenias had a slight impluse to stop and help him until he realized that that person was out to mug him. Turning around he was told that the other two stopped to help the man, thankfully Adrenias got word that he was okay. With a sigh of relief he slowed down and walked toward Drogans bar where a lot of people were gathering, he needed a drink anyways.

On his way there he met with Liliana's friends but no Liliana, the dokkalve, Sides was it? and the Human, Rota. The jotunn was there as well, which was a unusual sight seeing a large blue man in a sea of sad faces. although there seemed to be another human female that adrenias had yet to know, her face seemed bloody though but with that crazed look he probably shouldnt try to help. He waved at them, "hey!" while making his way there. "is anyone hurt? Do you know whats going on?" he had a a uncountable amount of questions his eyes darting between them, It was until now that Sarma decided to stop her observing of the group and dropped down from the ceiling with a loud BANG on the metal floor Right behind Adrenias sending a slight shockwave across the ground. Adrenias stubbed a little but turned around to the all too familiar feeling. "oh there you are Sarma do you know whats happening?" She simply shook her head and the pet spider jumped on top of her head.

Zeke Harfield

Middle Car

The train was in quite a mess. Broken stalls, injured citizens, soldiers littered the streets. It was hardly the quiet place it was when Zeke had first arrived, though that was more or less due to the Marik's party and the streets should have been much more bustling on the usual days. However, at this moment, it's bustling in a different sense, not exactly the busy, lively kind, but rather, panicky, frightening kind. Yes, it was clear that something bad had occurred, that much is obvious.

After asking around, it is revealed that both the front and rear cars are sealed, and it was said that those who refused to keep away were met with a deadly mechanism, involving electricity and no doubt a hell of  lot of pain. Then there's the unknown militia, soldiers in black uniform, they certainly don't look like the guards of Jormungandr, and from what Zeke had heard, they have liberally assaulted the citizens from both the front and rear cars with no given explanation. Obviously, they are not the train security, these guys are most likely something else entirely.

It was quite uncomfortable, frankly speaking, to be walking down the streets and seeing those soldiers everywhere yet not knowing who they are. Had the Don sent him on this oversized locomotive sooner rather than later, Zeke would have had sometime to get a feel around the place, then at least he would have some idea of what's going on and what kind of moves were being made at this moment. Sadly, that was not the case and he could only hypothesis. The idea of a coup popped up in his head first upon seeing those soldiers, an attempt to take over the train perhaps from the outside if not from within the train itself, but he couldn't really tell where they're actually from by just looking at them. And then there's the train, the way it took off, it seems to be in a hurry, almost as if running from something. Zeke wonders if it's bad from them if the train were to remain stationed here, or perhaps anywhere else even. What purpose would they have to isolate the train from the outside? Heck, what purpose do they have to isolate the sections of the train from each other? One would suppose that makes everything easier to manage.

Zeke sighs, all this pointless guessing is giving him a headache. He's not getting anywhere with this.

"Now I really need my coffee."

And indeed he does, he had already missed his afternoon coffee, and that bar and grills didn't have any either, and now he's not in the mood for any heavy thinking. But of course, a job is a job, he still intends to check out the gate leading to the other carriages, perhaps he might find something, perhaps a coffee shop if he's in luck.

So Zeke went to the nearest gate at the moment, the on connecting to the front car, and once there, he finds a large crowd of people, confused, angry, scared, and some of them indeed seems quite rich, perhaps enough to live some ways up front. It would seem that the black suited soldiers aren't working for whoever that's running this train after all. Amidst the crown, Zeke, with his sharp eye spots a kid, and judging from his clothes, he at least comes from a well-to-do family. The poor kid is on the ground, hugging his head with both his hands, perhaps he was stepped on or knocked down when the crowd was herded out. Either way, Zeke finds himself nonchalantly walking towards the kid and then kneeling down to check on him.

"Hey kid, you alright? You look like you took a beating."

Zeke, the man is no philanthropist, but he is the embodiment of friendliness, a kind that is not suffocating and all the while not too distant, the kind that is just right, adjusted to suit different people. It's his job after all, getting close to others, learning about them, maybe stab them in the back later.

Jörmungandr - Middle Cars - Winter 1912

Initially after then strangely uniformed men had come and begun to seal off the real cars the residents of said cars had begun to grow restless, wanting to know what was going on. However, soon after that, the guns and tesla cannons came out, turning what was just on the level of minor unrest into full blown chaos as the denizens of the lower cars reacted with a mixture of fear and anger. As the death toll mounted more and more of that fear turned into anger, and then rage, prompting people to take up what weapons they had secreted away or else whatever was at hand in order to rise up against those from the cars above whom they saw universally as their oppressors. A fierce battle began at the door to the bridge connecting the middle to the rear cars, with many lower car residents falling before the uniformed men were finally overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of their enemy. The rebels continued to fight their way across the bridge and onto the middle car where they began to attack everyone in sight, considering anyone from the higher cars to be a target. Naturally, those from the middle car didn't sit quietly as this happened and splintered into a few groups with those who ran to try to get back into the front cars or else to hide, those who stayed and fought, and those who tried to assist those from the lower cars forming the main ones.

In the midst of all this chaos was Katsurou, who was completely in his element as he swung his sword with a terrifying wolfish grin on his face. Much like the people streaming in from the bridge, the swordsman fought indiscriminately, killing all who attacked him, soon finding himself spattered with blood from head to toe as the pile of bodies around him continued to grow in parallel with his bloodlust. Truly, there was no better place for the man than on a battlefield and he was quite happy that he had come to the bridge when he did. Earlier in the day Katsurou had been walking around the middle cars, wondering what his next job might be as he was running low on funds. As such, he had begun asking around to see if there was anything worth doing, eventually learning about a possible employer down by the bridge. It was as he was making his way there that all hell had broken loose, driving all thoughts of money from his head as he unsheathed his sword and sprinted towards the fray, landing him where he was at present, happily hacking away with the best of them. He didn't even pause to think about why this might be happening, about who exactly the uniformed men were as they were certainly not train guards. Rather, he simply plunged in headfirst, dealing with the situation in the way he knew best and leaving such pondering to those better suited for it, he was far too restless.

Pirates, bandits of the sea and sky. You would very rarely find one straying far away from their ship. Captain Loren Soth was one of the few who strayed away from their ship. He didn't particularly have a choice in the matter since his beloved ship was sitting neatly at the bottom of the ocean with a neat hole punched right into hull and the masts snapped like twigs. A story on how that had happened would come another day. Now he was landlocked, lacking a proper vessel in order to sail once more and the former crew scattered to the four winds like sands being blown away. He'd seen the train as a business opportunity, someone was bound to hire lowlife like him for less then savory and definitely not peaceful negotiations.

The day had started so nicely as well. Loren Soth had fallen asleep on a cheap bedding smelling of cheap ale and sea salt. A hip flask sloshed with said cheap ale. It smelled awful and tasted worse than piss and liquid shit combined but ale was still ale. As long as he didn't let it touch his skin he figured he would be fine. He had planned on spending the entire day hungover and grumbling about everything that the light touched, even himself. A dirtied white rag poked out of his pocket, stained with black powder that was most likely gunpowder, and Mercy hung by the belt on his side and his hat was tipped on his head, barely staying there. Then all the mess and noise began. He tried to ignore it but the way it made his headache even worse made it next to impossible. Finally his patience snapped, quickly adjusting his hat and grabbing the rest of his weapons he burst out the door. "A'right whas the thingie that be causin the rail snake lovers to be makin a big ruck?!" He yelled angrily.

He looked left and right, unfazed by the smell of death and dead. "Righ. Rail snake lovers the lot of you." He griped as Mercy was pulled from its holster and gripped at the ready. He didn't exactly know what was going on, the best he could figure out was that one side was definitely not happy with another side and was more than willing to go through anything in between. Naturally the between didn't agree with them so here they were. "Not nearly nuf drunk I am..." He grumbled, free hand reaching for the flask of very awful ale and slowly bringing it up to his lips as he walked towards where the commotion seemed loudest and watched as a combat played and the train interior was the stage. Then a bullet whizzed past and knocked the poor and innocent and definitely not empty flask into the ground.

Loren was deafened by the blood rushing around his head as his hand still looked like it was holding something. Stoically, with a movement so swift it looked practiced, Scumhunter was aimed and fired, bullet punching through the man that had shot his flask. "Lad. Thas my drink for the whole darn week..." The blade buried itself deeply in the man's stomach after Loren had walked up to him. Making up his mind, he picked up the dying man and began to beat the attackers with him but not before searching and looting the man of his valuables. He didn't care who they were or why they were there. They spilled his ale, they pay full price with interest.

The mysterious highly trained Black Men seemed to flood all the areas of the Middle Carriage and keep everyone for the most part neat and orderly. The huge gathering that was posed just before the Gate and subsequent bridge that connected the two train carriages together started to disperse, people woefully confused who had attended the party started to return to different venues or their own homes to get changed. The only exception was the still large gathering of patrons who were legitimately from the Upper Carriage who were still locked out and were screaming at the men holding the door closed. A quick, move along, saw these people throw their hands up in a rage and mutter more to themselves.

Down further, way way further down where the gate and the bridge which connected the Lower Carriage to the Middle Carriage, was a completely different story. Here the Guards had tried to lock the Lower Carriage to prevent the restless lower citizens, however the conditions in that Carriage had degraded to such a dismal state that food was scarce and the inhabits had to do practically anything to get a food ratio. The treatment was so cruel that the people had started to Revolt, and in an almost courageous blood rage had turned the odds to break through the Tesla coated electric fence and the dead bodies which were starting to litter the streets. The swarm of crazy mostly bat wielding and machine gun armed patrons pushed through and were meet with some crazy sword wielding lunatic which was hacking down a not small numbers of them (Katsurou). Still they pressed on, sending most of the residents in the Lower end of the Middle Carriage to start to have broken windows and the violent crowd. Though the small army still had a long way to travel to get to the Middle section and closer towards Drogan's bar.

As this was all going there was a distinct set of key notes which played to signal there would be a train wide announcement and following a moment after those loud notes, a rather calm and collected female voice resounded, even echoing into individual rooms so all could hear.

"Passengers! For those of you wondering as to the intentions of the Jörmungandr and our early departure, please rest assured we are working in the utmost urgency to contain a sudden influx of Pirates! For the safety of all Citizens we suggest you please return to your available rooms or places of business and stay indoors until further notice."

With that said the announcement dinged several times leaving a heavily bewildered group of individuals who only hastened to get to their rooms. Before the Upper Gate the only people still nearby was the strange little rag tag of individuals including the Alf, Dokkalf, Tall dark haired woman, Tall sandy haired man, the Jotunn, the crazy girl and the smart little Lord (Aeron). Some paces away was Marik as he was continued to curl up against the ground but at least with crowds dispersed he could well have been spotted by Bastian if he wasn't so focused in on the very imminent fight between Róta and Evlyn. Which might have been the case because she didn't look like she had any intention of backing down unless someone withheld the woman.

Marik meanwhile continued to hold his pounding head, after all that Crazy Armed Guard hadn't held back even a portion when he had slammed Marik in the back of his head, so for the guy who was pretty much the weakest thing since paper, that s**t hurt! As his brain started to come to, he noticed someone kneeling down close to him and asking if he was alright! Like, was the man BLIND?! Of COURSE Marik wasn't alright, he was anything but alright, in fact the more he thought about it, the more livid he was becoming! And KID?! Marik sat up with his face contorted in rage though his voice came off much more high pitched and less threatening then he had wanted it to, slapping his hand away if the man had it outstretched. "LISTEN HERE YOU LOWER CLASS FILTH, I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW I'M NO KID! I AM LORD MARIK ELSWOOD THE II AND I TURNED 21 TODAY! I COULD HAVE YOU ARRESTED!..." pausing for a moment as he stared to him further. "ARE YOU THE ONE WHO HIT ME AND DRAGGED ME INTO THIS DIRTY, SLUMMY MIDDLE CLASS?! I SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE MY NICE CLEAN SHOES WALK THE STREETS OF THIS DISGUSTING CARRIAGE!" His voice only getting more high pitched and strained further.

As Zeke went to check on the kid, a train wide announcement was made, claiming that all this happened due to a pirates. However, that makes little sense. Was there a need to suddenly take off when the pirates were already here? Any why lock down the carriages? To contain the pirates? Perhaps, but why are those from the upper carriage locked out as well the rest? And if there are indeed pirates on board does that mean the soldier with black uniform pirates? They look a tad bit took uniformed for pirates don't they?

Questions swirls his mind, there just too many things he don't know and he hates that, he hates not being able to even guess about what's going on. How is he supposed to decide on his next course of action in these condition?!

Calm down, you're a professional, you deal with unexpected situations all the time. Just keep you wits about you.

It seems that being in a new environment for the first time in a long time had thrown him off his game, and for the first time he had realized just how much he had been relying on his information network back on the Archipelago. He'll have to start over again, make some friends, gain some favor, talk to people, ask questions, beginning with the kid before him, slowly waking up from his daze.

Zeke was hoping he could get some information out of the kid, thinking that maybe he can give him some clues as to what had happened here, but ll he got from the kid waking up was being yelled at, told that the kid could get him arrested, and accused of assault. Naturally, the professional spy's first thought was, Oh shit! How do I turn this off? And his second being, Perhaps a swift chop to the neck. Zeke had seen it being done countless time before, knocking someone out with such a technique, it seem to be the favorite of the clockwork doll servant back at the mansion. In fact, Zeke himself had been on the receiving end many times when he tried to take a closer look at the overly-sophisticated manikin.

And so he straiten all of his fingers, stiffens his hand, and swiftly swung away at the poor lordling's neck.

Rota Raven

The commotion that surrounded the Gates between the Upper and Lower Carriage meant most passengers were shoulder to shoulder. Though some had left the area, most still stayed and mingled trying to work out what to do. Many had supplies still left over in the Upper Carriage which was now segregated off for some unknown reason. People were brushing shoulder to shoulder and once Rota had realized Side's was for the most part okay and Lilianna ran off (she assumed to go get ready or dressed or who knows... that wasn't her concern right now), the taller woman kept her hand on Side's shoulder as she eased the two of them away from the crowds and more at the edge with a wall behind her. She hated crowds, and especially so when so many were around her backside, an area she hated people invading her personal space at the best of times. Her sharp eyesight spotting Side's looking at the exact spot she was hoping he wouldn't and her whole body tensed up a fraction a her heart sank and she felt a pit in the bottom of her stomach. And to confirm her fears he started to speak making the pit in her stomach grow even further....

He knew....

She could see it as plan as day on his face and her whole body went rigid like she wasn't sure what to do... Even the words alone, being tossed around in the open was something she didn't even did herself; alone. Two months it had been, and she had known straight away. One drunken night spent with Sides on the day he arrived and she had meet him... the day she had protected him from a gang and acquired his shop. Drinking till all hours at Drogan's bar then stumbling home with her vision blurred. Falling through a doorway on top of him. Feeling his lips. His body.. one time. That's all she needed. She was a Valkyrie, with a huge fertility to absorb any male gene and turn it into another girl, one time was all it took.... She knew the next day when she had awoke and realized, but he had been to drunk to notice the scars on her back. The thing that would identify her as Valkyrie and so he had no clue... She told him never to speak of it again, and other then a sly comment he hadn't. A Dokkalf and Human? The chance was barely viable at best...

She was stuck in the whirlwind of her own thoughts, the fear of his realization of his knowing. Months she had tormented... now that he knew of her... condition, what was her purpose as a Mercenary, with a gradually swelling belly? Who could she possibly protect? How could she? Her only skill was as a fighter and with the constant fear of another... The inner turmoil was starting to leak out now and show her half panic on her face. The normal stone expression breaking as she wasn't sure how to proceed now. Her golden eyes might have even been a fraction glistening as they burned to hold back tears. She didn't know how to deal with this, any of this... but she had no choice... he would find out eventually wouldn't he? She was only just showing now, in that her hips where a fraction wider. Nothing more. Where once a toned flat stomach looked more like she had slacked off on training now. The single reason her grey dress was a fraction to tight... And that silly cackling woman had even made a comment about her body in the Upper Carriage. Just as she was about to feel that rage returning she felt Side's palm press in against her midriff causing the girl to stiffen further. She wasn't sure what to do anymore..

But she didn't pull away..

The warmth of his hand sent a weird feeling through her body and her shoulder and face eased for the first time in quite some time. Probably more then Sides had ever seen it do. Then he said to talk about it over a tea? His smile was comforting, but he was her Employer.. she was hired for one job. That now she couldn't perform.. her face fell more as she realized he would ask her to leave his service. She was of no use.... she knew this day was coming. But his smile said otherwise? The girl couldn't work out her own emotions. Even being as smart and observant as she was. When he mentioned finding Lilianna and going to Drogan's bar the girl curtly nod, her expression fading into it's normal blank expression though there was still that fear deep in her Golden eyes she couldn't fade away. Speak of the Devil and he shall soon appear.. she spotted the Jotunn at almost the same time he spotted her and she grasped at the hand that was rested against her middle and gently peeled his wrist away. Still holding his wrist she lead him and herself back to Drogan who was now before Lilianna (though she had changed), and a tall man who had the same cold expression she owned ((Bastian)). Her eyes held his for some time as they hardened, the scared facade from earlier had faded and she dropped her hand from Side's. She could tell he worked the same as she did, he had the face of someone who would kill without remorse or question if directed to and furthermore her sharp eyes could see he was hiding things as much as she was. The fact he didn't know where his charge was made her tense a fraction because she had been in that situation with Sides herself.

She looked to Drogan and gave the Jotunn a nod. "We are well, we know as little as everyone else does and in this situation it is best to stick together and gather whatever supplies and resources we can find. Whatever is going on, I don't much like the feeling of it." The woman said, fighting the urge to place that hand on her tummy in a protective manner as she had before. With that said she fell silent. Or that was until there was an almost hysterical laughter that grated her ears before the voice of the harlot from before that was hanging over Marik spoke.  Her eyes narrowed down as she did and without thinking she wedged herself between the party group and was heading straight for the girl. "I don't remember anyone asking you, Whore." Her voice dark and with a threat laced in every syllable. Placing a hand to Drogan's chest to half push him back as she did the same to Bastian. She even gently pushed Lilianna aside to come to stand before Evelyn. "Where is your boyfriend then? Had your fill of buttering up his Lordship and onto the next catch? Why don't you round up you and your little shadow friends and go find some other space of oxygen to suck the life from."

It was clear Rota was not in the mood. Being with child had possibly spiked her hormones making her much more volition then she normally would be.

Not to far away there was a painful groan that almost sounded like a whimper as the 'little lordling' himself was half roused, though he was not much for liking being in pain and lifted up his hands as he held his head. Then he promptly curled up further as bruises started to litter his body from the rough treatment he'd received. Though being he was on the ground and the crowds still pressed around, no one might have noticed him yet. And he was still blacking in and out of consciousness to really ask for help.

Not that he would had he been awake. He was a bit of a snob for that.

This new comer that had been fawning over Marik not moments before being turned into a more useless pile and left on the floor after all being kicked out, was beginning to grate on his nerves and some of the others. Grasping a length of discarded bent pipe from the ground being left for not being of any use as a channel to move liquids or steam anymore. Leveling the length of metal in the direction of the woman's face "now see here you waste of space if you want to go pick a fight or to hump something that badly there's plenty of black clad troops around for you to try your wiles on and you'll mostly likely end up like your lover boy over there in a heap on the ground drooling, and to be honest we would all love to see that." having stepped to Rota's side from what he could assume the others she had pushed past had closed the gap between them were standing behind her looking equally as unimpressed. Grasping at his body guards arm "let's just go and leave this.." his speech was cut off as the announcement came over the PA system through the train something about pirates and once it concluded the crowd began to disperse "oh good there's pirates I'm sure they are in desperate need of a wench on your level of depravity." changing his focuss of words to the others "well lets just gt back to somewhere a little familiar, I would also like to make sure my store hasn't been broken into thus far."

Adrenias popped up having come to the group asking a few simple courteous questions "we're fine don't worry although I think Evlyn was just about to take her leave.." not a moment after he finished his sentence the strange looking Doll that had been following and half blinded before landed behind Adrenias, but not seeming to be doiogn much more than just standing there.

Jörmungandr - Front Cars - Winter 1912

Bastian watched as some new people, a tall, dark-haired woman who seemed to be called Rota, a dokkalf man, and a Jotunn named Drogan, walked over to him and the blue-haired alf woman, his sharp gaze piercing into each in turn as he assessed the threat they posed to him as well as the possible threat they posed to Marik. He especially scrutinized Rota as she was the one with whom Marik had quarreled most and also due to the fact that he could tell she was dangerous. He was about to step forwards to apologize to her when she pushed him out of the way, an action he did not resist, in order to confront another woman who, to Bastian's eyes, seemed rather unhinged, to put it mildly. Then, as he prepared to wait for the two women to finish up their spat, yet another man came up, an additional alf, who was soon joined by what appeared to be a Doll that was specialized for underwater operations of some kind. However, before he could address this new development  a calm female voice rang out from loudspeakers overhead, announcing that the sudden departure and sealing off of the front cars was due to pirates, which the tall mercenary highly doubted given the circumstances. He thought process was cut short though by the sound of a high-pitched and whiny voice rising over the sounds of the crowd, the voice of Marik to be exact.

Wasting no time Bastian drew his revolver and, with a brief  "Excuse me," he began to move quickly towards the origin of the sound, shoving his way roughly through the crowd and attracting many dirty looks in the process. Soon, due to these efforts, the bodyguard caught sight of the lordling, along with another man, a dokkalf in a red hood. Speeding up his approach, Bastian noted that his charge, as per usual, was shouting at someone and trying to boss them around, which, also as per usual, was unlikely to end well. True to this prediction, Bastian arrived just in time to catch the dokkalf's arm before he struck Marik. True, the blow looked to be one designed to render the lordling unconscious without any real damage, something that Bastian wouldn't complain about, he did still have to do his job. As such, releasing the arm, he placed himself between the two men, keeping his eyes on the dokkalf even as he spoke to Marik,  "Are you injured anywhere Lord Marik?" He figured that he already knew what the response would be, but he still had to do his job and ask. Such was the life of the long-suffering bodyguard.

Middle Car:

Near Gate to Upper Carriage

Zeke was surprised when his striking hand was caught, it was the first time he had witness such swiftness in movements. Quickly, Zeke backed away, expecting trouble as he eyed the blond man moving in between himself and the lordling. Seeing this, there is little doubt in Zeke's mind that this man in the lordling's bodyguard. Zeke wondered if he'll be having a fight on his hand, that would be an undesirable outcome, to make enemies without gaining anything in return.

Mindful of the blonde bodyguard's gaze, Zeke did little else than return the favor, watching the other side's actions in order to determine his own. It was when the bodyguard asked the lordling about his condition, did Zeke saw a way out for his predicament.

"I think the kid may have a concussion." Zeke said in a friendly manner, "It's best to not have him move about too radically for the time being."

Zeke was, of course, planing to talk his way out, pretending that he was just trying to help. Of course, he won't say that's he's trying to help, he'll just let the other guy believe that he is. They do say the easiest way to convince someone is to let them convince themselves after all. But wait, isn't the technique he just tried to use supposed to cut off oxygen supply to the brain for a short time or something, is that good or bad in this case? Probably bad... Well, he'd already started talking, seeing it through is the only thing he can do now.

"Also, I think the blow to the head may have loosen a few screws, the kid's a bit cuckoo in the head at them moment." he said as he twirled his index finger by the side of his head, "Even started screaming at me hysterically the moment he became vivid. I think it's best  to get him to see a doctor as soon as possible."

The 'little lordling' Marik was screaming his guts up, well up until the point the lovely Announcement ladies voice rang out saying something about Pirates? To this Marik's face paled for only about a second before it reared up again and he was screaming even louder and in a higher pitched voice. "PIRATES?!! PIRATES!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! WHAT KIND OF DAY IS THIS, THIS WAS MY BIRTHDAY, THAT WAS MY PARTY, AND NOW IT'S RUINED ALL BECAUSE OF SOME DAMN PIRATES!!! LET ME AT THEM I'LL~... I'LL~!" Well honestly if faced with a real life Pirate, Marik would probably be killed or worse, be stripped of his money. So to stop from jinxing himself, the narcissist promptly closed his mouth as he continued to hold the back of his head. The bruises didn't seem to be letting up over his pristine skin either, which was making him into an even fouler mood. He was so self absorbed as usual he didn't even see the other man lift up his arm to almost strike him out cold, well that was when his bodyguard FINALLY appeared and grabbed at the Dokkalf's hand. His body almost covered Marik, and while Marik should have been thankful his body guard came to his rescue he was anything but...

"BASTIAN!! Where the HELL have you been!! I WAS HIT ON THE HEAD, YOU BIG, BLANK, GIANT IDIOT! What do you even get PAID for?!"

His shouting was so loud he actually completely missed was Zeke was saying and even the hand gesture of his swirling finger, instead the Lord jumped up to his feet with his hands balled up into fists, even stamping his foot for some attention. Despite his loud voice, he had literally no presence more then some fly buzzing around, so people often ignored him even when he screamed and shouted. Which was what he was doing.

Well what he WAS doing, because as Zeke predicted the fast motion of Marik jumping to his feet made her whole head swirl and his vision go spotty before one of his legs half collapsed under him.

Bastion Teloska had been encouraging rebellion and was maybe thinking that it hadn't been the best decision for him to make in his short life, of course he had been feeling the effects of minimal food as much as the rest of them, for a week as of today of all days because anything he had gotten his hands on he had given to those weaker than himself. He was practiced in starving, only ever obtaining enough food to live. That was life in the rear car, the lowest of the low, and something he knew all too well, something he sometimes wished he didn't know so well. Of course he had been encouraging the rebels, as his father had before him without even meaning to or knowing what his father had done, what he was unprepared for though was the dismissal of his proposal. "Let me get some information, I can blend into crowds well you know that, give me time to scout!" He had pleaded with them, many times, but the unrest was at a breaking point. They hadn't made a move yet though, he had waited 3 days to see if they would, he had thought it would be safe to go to the bridge, Dumb Bastion, he thought wryly. It had been moments after he had settled into place to eavesdrop and they had come, swept Bastion right along with them, it had either been go with the flow or get trampled to death, needless to say he went along with the group better to take a chance than not at all right? For what was life if you didn't take chances?

Regret, yes that was keen as Bastion was crowded forward, he'd heard many things as he was moved around, several of the screams suddenly echoing around him going so far as to disrupt the music in his soul, so much so he for once in his life prayed and wished he was deaf. He kept trying to escape the crowd now that they were in the lower middle part of the train but couldn't seem to find his way out, that was until he stumbled into one particularly open area surrounded by bodies and blood. Bastion blinked a few times and looked forward to see a psycho covered in blood standing at the center of the carnage, he felt his blood heat up upon seeing the much shorter man in front of him. Who was that? Suddenly he was grateful he had managed to clean up a little today and hadn't covered his oddly ombré blue locks up with soot today, he looked decent enough, maybe enough to pass for a lower middle class, he didn't really crave dying today after all.

Well that's what Bastion had hoped anyway, one of those dangerous and reckless swings nearly hit him, forcing him to use his abnormal flexibility to back flip away from the blade, his feet sliding slightly in the blood as one knee rested on the ground and he crouched in a defensive stance. Damn was he annoyed though, that flip had made his hat fall from his head, fully revealing the extent of his strange hair. The blue locks framed his rounded face as he crouched, his eyes were bigger than most men's eyes and those big cerulean blue hues were carefully watching the man in front of him while he squeezed his hand into a fist, the small razors in the slots of his protective gloves pushing up, not enough to be obvious or visible but enough to cause damage if he had to fight to keep his life, though he didn't particularly crave a fight so he spoke in his even stranger and more confusing voice, he looked so feminine but his voice...it was lower than when you'd compare it to a woman's voice but sounded a little high for a male's voice, "Well hiya mister. You...erm....don't seem like the safest person for me to be around but I am wondering if you've got some reason in that head of yours. In other words, think you could chill and let me get away from this mess?" Not that he planned on staying innocent for long, he needed to have free range of movement to be able so steal anything that could help him survive, he needed to get around this guy quickly and she would prefer not having to fight anyone, quick in and outs, that was where his skills shined, and the way this particular guy moved...Bastion would likely have some trouble if he fought with the strange man.

Drogan Icebreath: ...

Drogan heard someone was far too excited with all this commotion. He turned round to see that to see an odd looking woman who seemed kind of familiar. "Hmm... Have I seen you before in my bar? Oh forget it I see too many faces..." Drogan turned away from the crowd for a moment to gather his bearings. Rota seemed to be fighting with the overly excited girl along with a bunch of other kinds of ruckus happening. "Ok I'm going to head back to the bar then. I'm sure it can prove as a useful safe haven." Then Drogan wandered off. After about fifthteen minutes of walking he arrived back at his bar. It looked empty but just as he placed his hand on the door he started thinking about things. He thought about his home and his decision to go travelling. It's been over a year since he was exiled wasn't it? "Maybe I just need to get off this train for a while..." He left his home to do traveling, not just sit in a bar all day serving food and drinks. With that in mind he pulled out a note and started writing in it.

"Dear customers. I'm afraid that Drogan's Dishes will no longer be open until further notice. I as a jotunn feel as if that I should move on to the outside world. It was why I left my home in the first place. So as a final word I wish to say have a good day and I hope to come back one day. PS This is a message for my two favorite regulars... I regret that I never got the chance to serve you one of my kind's exotic dishes. But Sides I wish you good luck with your shop and Rota you keep doing a good job protecting him. Don't bother finding me. I may be big but I know how to stay out of sight. I will be off the train at the next stop. Goodbye."

Finished with his letter he stuckit to the door of the bar and took his leave. As soon as the train stops he will be able to see a new kind of world away from the frozen wastelands.

As the louder speakers came on answering most of not all his questions Adrenias had it seemed like the grouping that was presumably Lilianna's friends seemed to have paid him and Sarma no mind. Blankly staring as they seemed to dissipate he decided to walk away slowly as there seemed to be a fight brewing between the two human women. Sighing Adrenias swiftly and quietly walked away pondering why there would be this much security if there was a pirate attack, surely the guns on the train are more than enough to defend it against a army let alone a few pirates.. Sarma walked quietly (as quiet as a 300lbs metal suit can) behind him not really thinking of anything. This was when he accidentally bumped into a stranger without noticing "oh sorry!" he apologized before realizing that he had bumped into the beautiful Alf he had seen from the bar before. "oh, Liliana!"

@Britt-21 (yeah my brain isnt working)

lilianna3.png

Lilianna caught wind of there being Pirates which werent too much of a threat unless they had bombs or molotovs. Things that could cause more panic than what had been going on. The Alf moved from her posistion and turned, only to run right into someone who was quick on his words and had Lili stumble back a little and regain her balance, "It's fine!" she said before looking at him "Oh!" the Alf said in surprise before laughing softly "Hey Adrenias."  she looked around and then looked at Sarma who was right behind him....Hey! It was that Doll from earlier that flashed her, Rota and Sides! "Lets get out of the way before we even begin to talk about what the hell is going on." she slowly grabbed his wrist and moved off to the side, trying to get through people and towards a side where it wasnt so packed. Once there, she released him and spoke "What brings you out here to join the chaos about the pirates?" the Alf crossed her arms and looked off towards the crowd which luckily was slowly starting to lessen and people rushed to their rooms. Or shops. Soon enough the place would be deserted she was sure. The Alf also did her best not to be bothered by the doll but she couldnt help but ask "Hey... That's your doll right?" she asked, nodding to the doll behind him

It was obvious that Lili was on her guard, careful for anything else to be out of the ordinary.  Her purple-blue eyes had returned to Adrenias and gave him a soft smile before it slowly faded. Lili was so nice and friendly but when it came to situations like these...she had to be serious, on guard, and ready to react when she could. Though she did notice that he was nothing like her people. Or well... The area of her people. He looked more as if he was from the city which would explain the different tone of skin she had compared to him. Lilianna couldnt help but slowly let her lips crack into a grin because she never saw a cityboy get down in the dirt before and it would be a interesting sight.

Adrenias was about to say something until Lilianna grabbed his wrist and pulled him to the side. "uh" He started to answer her question on why he was out but his mind when blank for a few seconds before hit came to him. "i uh, wanted to help people who were injured, from the sudden train acceleration." He looked around at the crowd when she asked about Sarma. Looking back and Lilianna and back to Sarma he turned back to Lilianna AGAIN scratching the back of his head with a slight laugh. "Yeah, her name is Sarma, she might look threatening at first but shes quiet don't pay attention to her she's just analyzing and developing her mind to her surroundings." Adrenias shrugged before realizing something. "did.. you two meet before?" chances are if they did meet it was either a random confrontation or she went to his workshop. A random confrontation might be bad.. He shook his head from the thought "We should get to a safer place. My work shop is a while away from here what about your cafe?

Meanwhile Sarma simply stared at the two noting that Adrenias seemed to act differently with the wary Alf girl around she looked about for any danger her head lamp a bright red as per usual. Adrenias had never been all that alert for as long as Sarma could remember. (which isn't a long time) She supposed it was his reliance on others or the dolls he makes and keeps around instead of selling. Like her..

TRAIN WIDE ANNOUNCEMENT

Evlyn Light

Evlyn outright laughed at Rota's initial response, mostly because it was true for the most part. She smirked at her remarks of 'shadow friends'. "In-case you haven't noticed I'm forced to sit here with the rest of you at the moment." She replied. "Believe me, you're far from interesting enough for me to sit here and taunt you all day. Though it is pretty damn fun!" She told her enthusiastically, contrary to the mood she should have after having been threatened by someone a lot stronger than her. Strength never really mattered to her before as she found a nice opening plus a bat to the base of the skull typically ended fights relatively well, the problem being getting the space for said opening of course. She was going to say more until Adrenias and Sarma popped up asking if anyone was hurt, she shrugged silently in response. Honestly she was crazy, but not stupid. She didn't feel like pissing off an entire group of people entirely.

Her attention was further drawn away at the mention of pirates. Pirates huh? Damn. Seemed literally everyone was trying to get a foothold of crime on the Train. If not her there were already numerous other smaller gangs and such, even some organizations larger than her own. Of course it was all done in the background for the most part but as far as she was concerned the train might as well be bought by the blackmarket by now....oh hell who was she kidding, it probably already was. She was going to say something further up until Sides threatened her with a pipe. A pipe...really? Then again, he had no clue she had a gun. Even further depending on his reflexes she could be out could before she even drew it. She laughed once more at his idle threats and would be insults, shaking her head and smirking. "If sex was all I was after or a fight I wouldn't be standing here right about now." She said. "I'm more than capable of finding both by myself, and I don't really feel in the mood to get knocked up or out by these assholes either." She explained before shrugging.

Rota couldn't help it. She hadn't felt this sort of rage unless it was directed at another Valkryie. This woman had called her fat and kept taunting her to do something, but because of certain reasons Rota was even less inclined to initiate a fight then before. She would be more on guard then normal and her attacks would be sloppy, not to mention the only weapon she had on her was her baton, and no doubt this woman had some sort of firearm probably shoved up her snatch somewhere. Struggling to remain calm as she took deep breaths in and out, she was practiced in close combat however she excelled now in long range. Her eyes quickly glanced over to see Bastion as he apologized and left, Lilianna soon left with the Alf from the bar along with... wait was that the giant doll that almost obliterated her sensitive eyes?!? @Britt-21 @Petroshka @Mitchs98 @Mykinkaiser

It was at that time Sides had grasped a pipe and had walked up beside her, leaving just the three in a small space. Her eyes running over his frame with a strange, almost interested look falling on her face. He might have been beside her but his body language held pretty Dominant considering... She might have been a fraction more impressed if in the same thought she remembered she was the body guard, not him and as he grasped at her right arm, she twisted a fraction to lift her left hand and place it onto the pipe, slowly pushing it to face more towards the ground. "It's fine Sides... I do not want to get you involved in this, it has nothing to do with you..." As he mentioned taking their leave, she figured that was a smart move and that Lord's wailing was starting to irritate her ears even among the crowd. Evlyn as she expected dashed over to help him and Rota took this time to thread her fingers into Seidhr's and started to pull him through the rapidly dispersing crowd. She wanted to be alone with him anyway, to talk more, though she wasn't much for words as it was... @Halffix

The pit in her stomach starting to fill even more at the prospect of her unemployment as she was sure Sides would cancel her job now she was unable to work it. Her eyes starting to burn and fill with water though she kept her face turned away from him to prevent him from seeing. Once before his Scrap Store, Rota reached down to the ring of keys on her hip and unloosed a set of his keys tied to a ribbon, his apartment and his store, handing him the set to allow them to enter. The windows were still intact as was the door, which was more then could be said for the derelict condition the store had been in when they had first arrived 2 months ago... The night after they...

Once Sides had opened the shop and lead them both inside, the girl crossed the room to take her place onto the chair right in the very corner, in the spot she always sat, placing her head into her hands as her eyes closed, riding out the storm of emotions she didn't even realise she had been holding in for the past couple of months. Bringing her knees together as she sat and curled down slightly, making no noise but her cheeks continued to grow wet.

"You're going to fire me aren't you?..."

"I can't protect you in this... this... condition." she almost hissed out.

"I can't protect you... I can't even protect myself! I only have one skill, combat, and now.... now I can't even do that!"

She was clearly starting to loose her cool and her breathing quickened in a somewhat panicked state.

Lillianna returned her gaze to Adrenias "We have. She flashed me and my friends earlier. We thought that she was a threat to us but apparently not since i'm seeing her not flashing me again." she laughed softly before he asked about her cafe "My cafe? Its by the clinic. Shouldnt be too hard to get to since I use my forest-Alf skills to climb through places with no big deal. I question if you can keep up with me, city boy." she teased and ran off to her usual climbing spot and climbed up with ease, landing on a roof edge and looking down at the male Alf "C'mon! It avoids the crowd super easily!" Maybe I should have helped him up..But then again he has that huge Doll that does crazy stuff so he should be able to get up with his Doll's help. The two trinkets in her hair began to glow blue, making her look like she had fireflies in her hair but in reality she didnt. The Alf lifted her hand and moved some of her hair to the side, still giving Adrenias a grin as she waited for him to join her. "Gotta work them muscles!" she called out. Lilianna was quite the child at times but that's what kept her happy, made the room bright. Sure she could be serious at times but being serious all the time was boring.

She did hope that her friends were okay. Rota included. Simply because that girl was bothering Rota at the party and who knows if that crazy girl found Rota...

"eh" Adrenias watched Lilianna climb onto a roof of a building with rather impeccable skill. "Show off" he mumbled to himself. "well its a good thing i put a small cage on sarma's back." He went behind sarma and grabbed onto her back mounted cage meant for heavy metals and minerals, definitely enough for him to hold on to. Sarma simply watched Adrenias wondering about it all, it wasn't until Adrenias told her to follow the alf woman did she break out of her usual trace of watching amd started to move. Using her magnetic clamps on her hands and feet she simply crawled up the building vertically with no problem at all. Adrenias got off Sarma and walked toward Lilianna with a small smirk. "that wasn't too hard" He then looked around down below on the streets so many people, glancing back at Lilianna did the pet spider made itself known crawling up his leg and on to his shoulder. "next destination?" @Britt-21

Jörmungandr - Middle Cars - Winter 1912

Bastian sighed internally as his charge began to scream at him, at least it showed that that the smaller man was at least mostly fine. If he had been injured severely he wouldn't have had the strength to shout like that. Even so, the lordling hadn't escaped entirely unscathed as, when he tried to get up all-to-quickly, his legs buckled, prompting the tall bodyguard to thrust an arm out to catch and steady him, turning to make sure Marik was alright. Or at least, he would have caught him had not the woman from earlier came over to do it instead. He eyed her, trying to ascertain whether or not he would have to seperate her from his charge, though it didn't seem like she meant him any harm at the moment. Even so, the bodyguard remained more wary than usual to her as there was something about her that he didn't like the feel of.

Having done that Bastian turned back to the dokkalf in order to respond to what he had said, still keeping an eye on the woman as he did so. '"Do you know of any doctors nearby?" he asked curtly, not bothering to address the other man's, completely valid, concerns about the state of Marik's mental health given that that was how the lordling usually acted. It was a wonder that the Alleshlander could stand him at all, even if only barely.

(Sorry for short post, writer's block)

Jörmungandr - Middle Cars - Winter 1912

Katsurou had just finished disemboweling someone, his blade nearly hitting another person in the process, when he heard a that very person calling out to him. Turning to the other man, or at least that's what he assumed the other person to be, he listened to him, his grin growing a little wider as he listened. A job! He could actually earn some money now! He was really glad that he hadn't killed the blue-haired man on accident, or rather, that the blue-haired man could dodge so well. "I can do that," he said, before abruptly stepping forwards and scooping his new employer, or so he had decided, onto his left shoulder, an action rendered strangely comical by the 7 in height difference between the two. Then, he turned and began to sprint away from the gate, clearing himself a path with the sword still in his right hand and carrying the taller man with seeming ease, the thought that the other man might not be able to pay him never even crossing his mind.

A short while later Katsurou arrived in a back alleyway that was free from fighting and set his employer down before finally wiping the blood off of his sword on one of the only bits of non blood-soaked clothing he had on and sheathing it. He then turned to the other man and grinned again, holding out his hand in a manner that clearly suggested that he was looking to receive some sort of compensation for his efforts.

Rota Ravven

Middle Carriage - Near Upper Carriage Gate

Outside Sides Scrap Emporium

Rota was awfully quiet for the remainder of the journey from the security doors of the middle carriage and a few steps away from his store, when Rota finally spoke. Something about firing her the dokkalf stopped literally mid step to turn to look at Rota with a most perplexed look "what on earth are you talking about Rota? why on earth would I fire you??" he said walking closer to her taking her hand in his "you can still protect me you know.. just not in the normal sense what about all the firearms you have, and there is something I have been working on which I think you will really enjoy."

"now I'll not hear another word of this silliness of me dismissing you lets get inside first and make sure the store is in order and I have a feeling that things are going to get a great deal worse having all these extra people shoved in this middle carriage." Unlocking the roller door of the entrance and stepping inside there were already more people mulling around the streets looking for places to stay and or squat, it wouldn't be too long until others would turn to looting or petty theft. The shop was still intact thankfully, tossing the bent pipe into a scrap iron pile, dragging on his tool belt. Grasping something from under the counter it was shiny as it was carefully polished and sharpened.

Grasping it with two hands and walking back over to Rota where she had taken her usual place of guarding, placing the base of the pole-arm on the metal ground in front of her. "I know you like your baton but this is a little more fitting for a guard, there is something else I'm working on but I'm going to need a lot more time and some pretty sepcialised parts first. "now cheer up we need to get back to our rooms to check them next, before making our way back here."

Zeke Hartfield

Middle Carriage:

Near Gate to Upper Carriage

The boy, Lord Marik as he turns out to be, ill-advisedly began going about in hysterical agitation about the pirates that had supposedly came on board. Inevitable, he soon had to stop, due to being struck by a wave of nauseousness that came about with his concussion. It was then, a woman came running by, and she had the look of someone who had taken one too many illicit "medication" as one of Zeke's colleagues would put it. She came looking after the lordling who had fallen into the ground, an exaggerated look of worry hangs upon her face, though Zeke would use the word "looking after" loosely and would much prefer, "sucking up".

"Doctors?" Zeke replied the supposed bodyguard who asked him about doctors in the vicinity, "I remember seeing a clinic on the way, but it seems to be closed at the moment. But I did came across a bar, well, a bar and grills, I'm sure we can at least find some ice to put on the poor kid, assuming he even stay still for that long anyways."

Lilianna watched as Adrenias came up with his Doll and made her cross her arms "Show off." she remarked, laughing softly as the Doll was now on the roof while a spider crawled up Adrenias's leg. Another doll, at least this one wasnt as scary as Sarma. "It was only easy cause you didnt do it, City boy." from now on that's what she was going to call him. As he asked of their next destination she moved along the roof, heading towards her Cafe. Or where the place was located "So when we get there, what do you want? Tea? Coffee? Hot cocoa?' she asked, getting to the end of a set of buildings and glancing down, seeing a haystack right at the bottom "Bingo." the Alf looked over "you're gonna have to Jump, unless you wanan take the boring way down." she stuck her tongue out at him and jumped down, "Woohoo!" she yelled as she fell right into the hay, laughing as she got out and looked up to the roof "C'mon City Boy! Cant stay up there forever!" Lili felt like such a child but that's how she was. Very bright and Energetic! It was drove the spark in "Lilianna Spark" The Alf looked around and peeked from the small alley, looking at the various people "Hmm..Cafe isnt too far..." she murmured

What what what?! Bastion blinked several times, hands still clenched into fists, the guy had said he'd let him pass but then the man had walked towards him causing Bastion to panic slightly, he had been seconds from swinging when the man had suddenly picked him up and tossed him over his shoulder. What!? Okay Bastion wasn't a small man, not at freaking all, yet this psychopath was carrying him as if he were lighter than a bag of potatoes. He should have struggled but again didn't feel like dying today so he'd gone limp and let the man do as he pleased. After a time he was dropped to the ground and landed on his rear letting out a mildly annoyed yelp, but he was quick to snap back to his feet eyes locked on the bloody man; the bastard had stained his only good set of clothes...emotions spiked and he really wanted to hit the guy for that, petty he knew but he had worked hard for this outfit. Bastion crosses his arms over his chest and glares at the man, while he cleaned blood from his blade then stuck his hand out as if asking for payment, panic flashed anew in his cerulean hues and damn right then he cursed his lack of control over his emotions.

The only thing he'd picked was from a woman who had rushed to him asking for help once...only once, he hadn't let it get to him and had ignored the woman; after feeling her up and snagging something from her, a ring that the woman had taken off and tucked into what she'd thought was a safe place; with Bastion nothing was a safe place...but now he had a dillema...run the risk of dying or give up his snatched treasure? Damn this, damn the man, time to play the stalling game, "I don't know what you want from me but really isn't it rude to not introduce yourself? How about I start?" Holy crap what was he stupid!? He had sounded sassy when he'd snapped at the freaking crazy guy with a blade! Whatever let's start to just pile it all on and see how his luck holds, "I'm Bae or that's what you can call me anyway of Bast, either way you're not getting my full name, you're turn Crazy." Oh gods...how deep would he dig this hole?!

"well i don't really have a preference on drink but ive had plenty of tea from where i was born." Adrenias started having a small flash back of his mother making tea but that was soon interrupted by Lilianna jumped off the building "wait wha-?!" he stopped and looked down seeing that she fell into a hay stack. he almost had a heart attack! what can possess somone to do that?! Sighing when she told him to jump down with her he thought about using sarma again but decided it would be better to jump down following what Lilianna did and started to back up to get a running start. Meanwhile Sarma saw Adrenias and predicted that he would jump off the building to mimic the the female and fell down before him watching the rooftop. Adrenias ran as attempting to calculate how much speed he needed to land on the haystack and jumped. It was now did Adrenias realized he didnt account for his weight and started to fall short of the haystack "oohh crap!" He was then caught by Sarma in a cradling position like a mother carrying her child. Adrenias had closed his eyes before he hit the ground but when he didnt he slowly opened his eyes only to meet the glowing red of sarma's head lamp. "uh, thanks sarma" He then got off non-chalantly and slightly embarrassed. "well! off to the cafe!" he quickly walked to Lilianna's side ignoring whatever thoughts or comments she might;ve had for his actions, @Britt-21
