{JKthegreat and Lexie} Dear Soldier

I gasped slightly when I felt him pull me to the side. I held his hands gently and looked up into his eyes as he spoke. "I'll hold you to that," I whispered softly just before kissing him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck as I moved a bit closer to him, pulling away ever so slightly. I rested my forehead against his and brought one hand to the side of his neck. "I'll be cageside with my dad," I said with a smile before kissing him once more. "You better be careful or you'll have hell to pay when we get home," I waened with a grin as I hugged him tightly.

"You've seen me train" I said as I put my arm around her shoulders and started walking towards the ring again "I think I've got this fight. This guys apparently the best youngster around at the moment, that is, until now." I smirked at her as we walked around a corner and headed towards the stands. "I guess we might as well watch a couple of the other fights" I said, sitting down in the stands and offering her the seat next to me "See what I'm in for."

"Just remember. My dad said to meet him in the changing room and if you're kn time, you're late," I said with a smile as I sat down next to him with a small grin. "And he'll probably want to train a bit, do some reminders before its time so I suggest we're there half an hour before your fight," I said just before I leaned over and kissed him gently.

As I smiled and kissed her back, a heard some guy behind us whistle at us in a 'Shes hot' kind of way. I had half a mind to get up and deck him, but he hadn't done enough to deserve it...yet. " I eventually pulled back and put my arm around her shoulders, turning to watch the fight. "As long as he doesn't tire me out" I said, examining the two fighters who looked to be in the extreme amateur stages "I can't be tired when the fight starts. I'll get destroyed."

The moment I heard the guy whistle, I pulled back and winked at Conner before turning back to face the guy. I grabbed my drink and stood up, turning around and leaning over, slowly pouring the drink on his head. "Back off," I spat before turning and sitting back down. "Don't worry. He knows better than thay. He'll just do a light warmup so you'll be pumped up but not tired."

I couldn't helo but laugh a bit when she poured the drink over his head, but the guy didn't seem to take it so well. He obviously was one of the few guys in that place that showed at least a little respect women, because instead of grabbing the girl who'd poured the drink on his head, he grabbed the girl's boyfriend who was laughing by the shirt and picked him out of his seat. "Bad move, bo_" he started but I cut him off by twisting his arm around his back and popping his shoulder out of its socket with ease. "Next time, show some respect" I growled before shoving him to the ground and sitting down again as the guy groaned on the ground.

I smiled slightly though it quickly faded when the man grabbed Conner. I stood up and was about to protest when I heard the distinct pop of his shoulder. I stared down at the man before watching Conner sit back down then returned my gaze to the man. "Oh yeah, my boyfriend is one of the fighters...and I'm gonna tell daddy on you," I said with a girlish giggle before sitting down and gently wrapping my arms around Conner gently.

I grinmed as she wrapped her arms around me and I put my arm around her, pulling her to me as I returned my gaze to the fight that was going on. "I'm just hoping that I don't regret that later" I whispered in her ear "Anyway, I need to stay focused on these fights. I need to watch and see if there is anything I can learn from these fighters. "

"I know you do so shut up and watch. Analyze," I said with a small laugh as k turned my attention to the fight with a small smile. "Have my dad tell you anything he can about that guy's strategy," I added as I glanced over at him then down at the time.

"I've analysed his last five fight about twenty times each, and they were all the same" I said, thinking back to how I had analysed the tapes "He uses brute force to over power his opponents, which has worked really well since he is unbelievably big and insanely powerful. He hasn't lost a fight yet, but that's because if you watch his opponents, none of them tried to use technique to their advantage. They all tried to over power the king of power, which is exactly what I'm not going to do."

"Good. That's most likely what he's used to rather than technicality so he wouldn't be able to counter," I said with a smile as I reached over and grabbed his hand, interlocking our fingers. After awhile, I looked at the time and stood up. "Come on or we'll be late," I said as I took his hand and pulled him out of the stands.

I clicked my neck and started to shake my shoulders, getting loose as I psyched myself up in my head. We eventually made it to the change rooms, which also contained an area to warm up, and I didn't see any sign of Roy. I gave Ashton a quick kiss before heading over to the punching bag and practicing some light punches to warm myself up and keep myself active.

I smiled as I kissed him back and heard footsteps behind me though I didn't move. When someone wrapped their arms around my neck, I smiled and turned around, hugging my dad gently. I told him about the guy and smiled a bit. "Conner popped his shoulder out of place though," I added before kissing his cheek and pointing to where he was. "Go easy on him."

As I was working away at my various combos and techniques at the punching bag, I felt something coming at my face from the side. I twisted with lightning fast reflexes and grabbed the fist that was flying at me, twisting the arm of the owner into a painful lock. That is, until I saw who it was. "Oh, Jesus Roy" I said, chuckling a little as I released him from the lock "A simple 'hello' is a good greeting too, you know?" He grinned as he shook his shoulder a bit to clear the pain. "No, its good" he said, smiling proudly at me "You're reflexes are incredible. Better than anyone I've taught so far. You're strong, and your technique is flawless. Just do what we talked about, use his strength against him, and you've got this one. Now do the normal warm-up routine, but don't strain yourself." I nodded and got to work at the routine that I had drilled so many times.

I smiled slightly as I watched quietly, my confidence in Conner only growing more. I kept glancing down at the time to make sure we weren't late and let out a small sigh since time suddenly felt like it was going slower. I moved down the hall to where I could see the fight and watched as it ended. "Daddy, it's time," I said as I looked over at the two of them.

I heard Ashton in the back of my mind as she spoke, and I delivered one final crunching blow to the bag before throwing off my shirt and walking to the beginning of the walkway to the ring, waiting for my name to be called with Roy and Ashton behind me. I turned, not really caring that Roy was standing right there, and kissed her passionately as I prepared myself to enter.

I blushed lightly as I kissed him back, finally forcing myself to pull away. I smiled cheekily at my dad before taking a deep breath as Conner's name was called. I took it upon myself to lace my arm through his as we walked down the walkway, keeping my head high and ignoring the possible stares. Once at the cage door, stopped and pulled him close to me, hissing him passionately.

I took deep in breaths as we walked down to the ring, the song Radioactive by Imagine Dragons playing, and put myself in a state of absolute concentration. Ashton kissed me once more as we got to the stairs of the ring, of course causing a lot of whistles and slurs, and Roy patted me on the back and said "You got this, kid." I nodded my thanks before stepping into the ring to get my first real-life picture of my opponent. He was a giant of a man, about three inches taller than me, and I was already pretty tall. Nothing about him intimidated me, as he often wanted to do to his opponents, I was just calculating my moves. Trying to find weak points. I was hardly listening as the referee was reciting the rules and we touched gloves. "FIGHT!" shouted the ref, and fight we did.

He started with a move that was exactly what I expected, something to try and either catch me off guard or to simply test my ability. He threw a dummy punch to my stomach, while executing an extremely fast fist at my face with the other. He was fast, but I was faster, and I danced away from the punches with ease. I realized that he seemed quite bloodthirsty, because he continued throwing some of these powerful punches at me, clearly going for the straight knockout, and I kept evading him quickly. He was starting to get irritated, I could tell, and thats when he ignored doing a dummy punch and just gunned straight for my face. Bad move. I ducked swiftly under the clumsy punch, and landed six lethal, lightning fast blows to his exposed abdomen before he had a chance to block. He staggered back several meters, completely winded, and I pounced on my opportunity.

I lunged quickly at him and landed a crunching blow to his jaw, hearing the click of the bone, but I got a little to greedy. I thought he was completely staggered, so I went in for another shot at his head, but he grabbed my fist in his gigantic hand and swung with his other with incredible speed at my own jaw. There was no dodging that one, and I felt the blood spurt out of my mouth as the massive fist hit me square in the side of my face, causing me to stumble backwards and see a couple stars. I quickly regained myself and straightened back into my defensive/evasive stance. Won't make that mistake again I thought to myself, as I spat out some more blood and prepared myself for another flurry of attacks.

I glanced over at my dad and gave him a quick hug as I watched a bit nervously. "Come on come on...you got this," I mumbled to myself as I watched the fight begin. As Conner kept dodging the punches, I smiled slightly as I nodded and clapped a bit. As he began throwing punches, I smiled and cheered a bit. "Come on babe, you got this," I said with a smile as I watched. The moment I saw the blood, I frowned slightly, starting to get a bit nervous. "Technicality over power. Technicality over power," I said loud enough so he could hear as I kept my eyes on the fight.

I could hear Ashton shouting to me in the background. Technicality over power I thought to myself multiple times Only way to win this thing. He was starting to be more calculating now, less outright and viscous, so it was getting more difficult to counter him and to dodge him, but I could definitely wearing him out, where as I still had tons of gas in my tank. He managed to land a couple more mine blows to my body before I got my next opening. He suddenly took a few steps back, and charged me at an extremely vast rate, trying to just use his brute strength to knock me to the ground so he could finish me off.

But a lot of training, speed, reflexes and having been a great college Football player were there to rescue me. I got down really low quickly, and rocketed my shoulder into his body as he ran at me, a move that took a lot of timing and precision to perfect at such a short distance, but that was also a move that was completely improvised. I heard the wind escape his lips as I picked him up high off the ground and slammed him with an enormous force into the mat. His head slugged against the mat, still conscious, but barely. The crowd roared at my show of strength and speed, but I couldn't relish in the praise just yet. This was my chance. I fell on him and landed what felt like hundreds of blows all over his body, until I knew for sure he was too weak to retaliate to anything, and finally brought my fist up high, sending it with a humongous force into the side of his face.

I heard the crack of bone and saw his head drop to the mat. The ref checked his pulse and confirmed that he was indeed knocked out. The noise of the crowd was massive, and I could feel the ref lifting my arm up as he announced me as the winner. But that all faded into the background. With a black eye, a cut lip and some serious body bruises, all I could think was: I've done it.

I let out a sigh of relief as he began to make a comeback. I smiled a bit as I began cheering him on again and before I knew it, the ref was holding his arm up. I couldn't help but jump up and down before hugging my dad tightly. I climbed the stairs and opened the cage door before climbing into the ring and hugging Conner gently as to not hurt him. I kissed him gently, ignoring the taste of blood before pulling back and raising his had once more, knowing fully that he was the first one to beat him.

I couldn't stop beaming as Ashton stormed in and kissed me. I kissed her back with all that I had, and grinned as she raised my arm up in the air. I walked out of the ring and stuck out my hand to shake Roy's, but he pushed it away and hugged me instead. "I knew you could do it kid" he said proudly as he hugged me tightly. "Not without you, I couldn't" I said, smiling at him as I pulled away from the hug "I can't tell you how much I'm in your debt. I can never thank you enough." "You can thank me by doing what you're meant to do" he said with a smirk "Become a champion. I wasn't sure at first, but I know for sure now that you got the stuff."

I smiled as I followed him out and watched as my dad hugged him. I smiled softly and hugged my dad tightly. "Thank you daddy," I said with a smile as I tightened my grip a bit. I finally let go and looked over at Conner with a small smile. "Come on. We need to get you cleaned up," I said softly as I looked up at him and wrapped an arm around him and helped him back to the changing rooms.

I only noticed then that I was limping slightly, and the cut on my lip was more like a chunk of missing flesh than just a cut, but I really didn't care. I had just won the fight that would get the UFC to offer me a professional contract, which had been a dream of mine for years. No matter how much it hurt, I couldn't stop smiling. I sat down on one of the benches as Ashton led me in, and took off my gloves so they could fully assess my injuries.

I smiled softly as I walked away, returning with a warm washcloth as I began to gently wipe the blood off of him as carefully as I possibly could. I left once more before coming back with an ice pack and gently pressing it against his eye. "Keep this there," I said as I continued to assess him.
