{JKthegreat and Lexie} Dear Soldier

"Uh...morning Roy." I said awkwardly, as I wished that Ashton hadn't abandoned me to do this by myself "Ready to get started." He stared daggers at me as he took a few steps closer. "After what I just saw..." he said menacingly "Its Mr Gracie to you." My eyes widened and I was about to apologize when he cracked up laughing and slapped me on the shoulder. "I'm only kidding, kid" he said, still laughing as he turned towards Ashton "You gotta loosen this one up a little." I couldn't help the wry smile that found its way to my lips as he turned back towards me. "Okay, what time did you get here?" he asked inquisitively. "3:30" I said plainly, regaining an air of confidence. "That's what I like to hear, lets get started" he said with a grin as he led me to the ring and started to train me on various effective fighting techniques.

I laughed a bit as I shrugged ever so slightly. "I've tried," I said simply as I giggled a bit more. "Behave you two," I added as I watched them begin to train. A small smile came go my face as I laid down on the bench, yawning softly as I hoped I wouldn't fall asleep, though it wasn't long before I did.

((We should probably skip to the day of the fight at some stage soon.))

After another hectic few hours of training, this time it involving less me getting the shit kicked outta me, and more the actual improvement of my fighting skills. By 5:00 p.m this time, I was beat once again, but I felt good. My body didn't ache from being hit, rather from the physical activity. I had once again lost track of Ashton, who I had last seen asleep on the bench. I decided to run back to the apartment, so I called her as I started to run. "Hey." I said as she picked up "On my way to the apartment now. Be there in fifteen, if that's even where you are.?"

I had left the gym around lunch and went home to catch up on sleep. My phone woke me up when it rang and I answered it as quickly as possible. "Hey...okay yea I'm here...the door's unlocked," I said before hanging up and throwing my feet over the bed before gladly getting up and stretching.

I got to the apartment around about ten minutes later, faster than I had expected, and stepped through the door, discarding my gloves on to the table. "Honey, I'm home" I couldn't help myself from calling as I stepped in with a grin.

I looked up as I laughed a bit and wrapped my arms around his waist. "Good sweetie. I ordered pizza because I'm lazy and don't feel like cooking," I said with a wide smile as I laughed a bit more. I kissed his lips affectionately before giggling and pulling away. "Get a shower and relax."

I kissed her back passionately, the smile that I always had around her returning to my lips. "I'll go do that." I said as I walked over to the shower and got in, trying to rinse away all the grime of the day. I threw on a tight white shirt and some shorts when I got out and I went to go sit on the couch, sprawling out over it as I did. "Good session today" I said loudly so Ashton would hear me "I feel confident."

""

I looked smiled as the pizza came while he was in the shower. I set it on the table and fixed a couple plates before waiting for him to get out. I ate my pizza and handed him his plate when he came in. I cleaned the kitchen and smiled a bit at his words. "Good to know. I think you'll do fine," I replied before finishing and going into the living room to him, wrapping my arms around his shoulders.

((You can do the Time Skip if you want. Could be my last reply, not sure.))

I smiled as I finished my pizza and she wrapped her arms around my shoulders. "Two days through, and already I'm feeling more confident about my chances" I said, smiling a little "Your dad is good. Really good. Anyway, I need to get some more sleep, gotta be there same time." I hopped up and gave her a quick kiss before heading to bed.

I smiled softly and finished cleaning before going to the bathroom. When I got out, I dressed in a pair of oversized sweatpants and a tank top before going into my room and laying down in the bed, smiling softly as I laid my head on his chest before closing my eyes and allowing sleep to take over.

((Time Skip - Fight Day))

I woke up that morning and yawned softly, giggling a bit to myself as I jumped up. I ran to the bathroom and got a quick shower before heading back to my room and looking through my closet. I picked out a loose, blue one-shoulder dress that came to my midthigh. Once I slipped it on, Added a thin black belt and my black high heels. I curled my hair and pinned it half up before doing my makeup and sitting on the bed. "Conner. Wake up. You gotta get ready."

My eyes snapped open like a hawk who had just heard its prey galloping. Over the past three weeks, Royce had turned me from a decently fit, good fighter, into an unbelievably fit, incredible fighter. My arms had bulked slightly, though not so much that it slowed me down, and my abs were as defined and toned as they could possibly get. I wide smile appeared on my face as I noticed Ashton sitting on the edge, and I grabbed her playfully around the waist, putting her on her back and leaning over her, keeping her arms pinned. I grinned and said "Surrender or suffer." in a super deep, menacing tone.

I yelped slightly as he grabbed me and pinned me to the bed. Laughing a bit, I raised an eyebrow. "You should know by now that I don't surrender," I said as I leaned up and kissed him passionately. I finally pulled away and smiled up at him. "You should go get ready so you don't mess my hard work up," I told him as I tried to move my arms from his grip.

I smiled down at her and kissed her back with excitement. "You look...incredible, by the way" I commented with a flirty smile as I stood up "Like, you really brought it. Now I can finally have a girlfriend that can do that thing where some dude is gonna come hit on you, and you can be like 'My boyfriends one of the fighters' and make him shit himself." I grinned evilly as I started whipping on my fighter gear, which consisted of my gloves, a loose shirt that I would take off before the fight anyway, plain maneuverable sneakers which I wouldn't be fighting in either and UFC sponsored shorts that were designed to stay out of your way in the ring. "The fights only in a couple hours" I commented, looking up at her as I finished tying my shoelaces "But apparently me, you and my trainer, I.e your dad, have full passes for any part of the arena for the whole day, and the pre-fight stuff is apparently a lot of fun."

I laughed lightly as I sat up and giggled a bit more. I finally stood up and shrugged a bit as I watched without a word. At his comment, I smiled softly and nodded. "Come on, I know where it is. We can grab something there to eat," I said as I walked out and fed Luna. I kissed her head before grabbing my keys, wallet and phone before heading out to the car.

"You know, ever time you do that" I said with a grin, as I made sure I had everything I needed, and then followed her out "It makes me think that I've been making out with cat hair. Its not a pretty image for the brain." I smiled and opened her car door for her as I usually did, before ducking into my seat and punching the air above the dashboard a couple times. "So pumped right now." I exclaimed, looking as focused as ever.

"Calm down," I said quietly as I pulled out of the parking lot and driving towards the arena without another word. After pulling into the parking lot, I silently got out and headed inside without bothering to wait. Ileaned against a nearby wall inside and crossed my arms as I tried to remain patient.

I had to run to catch up with Ashton, who had walked into the building without even pausing to wait for me. "Hey, slow down" I said loudly as I jogged after her and stood in front of her as she leaned against the wall, placing one of my hands on her arm comfortingly "What's up? You seem jittery, a little impatient."

"It's nothing. I'm fine," I said quietly as I looked up at Conner. "Don't worry about it," I added with a small smile as I shrugged a bit. I grabbed his hand and pulled him along as I began walking down the hallway, waving that the few people that stopped to say hey.

As we were walking, I let go of her hand to instead put may arm around her shoulders, half because I was feeling pretty affectionate and the other half because I needed her to stop me from drop-kicking one of the innocent bystanders because I felt so hyped up. "Roy said he'd meet us in the changing rooms" I said, waving at some people as I spoke "He doesn't seem like much of a social type."

"It's not that. It's just he's around a bunch of guys and he's overprotective," I explained with a smile as I walked towards catering. "You'll get used to it," I added as I leaned up and kissed him gently. "Come on I'm hungry," I said as I pulled on him and nearly ran to catering.

"Well that's exactly what I need before the biggest fight of my life" I said with a grin as I followed her to the catering section "A place filled with more junk food than the human body can withstand." Even though I was reluctant, I still went and stood in the line for one of the giant pretzel places. "Pretzels are acceptable" I said, looking at Ashton with a smirk, knowing she was giving me a 'you hypocrite' stare.

"But obviously you can't resist," I said teasingly as I grabbed a plate and put some cookies, cake, and a few candies on it. I walked over to him and took a bite of the chocolate chip cookie with a smile. "I regret nothing."

"Well that's because it seems that there's no amount that you can eat that will make you fat" I said, smiling jealously at her "You just stay perfect all the time. For us normal people, we actually have to watch what we eat." I grabbed a plate and got one giant pretzel and a pretty oily looking salad and started to walk towards the ring.

"Hey, it's not easy being perfect," I said with a laugh before shaking my head. "I wouldn't know. I'm no perfect. But my metabolism is a bit faster than normal," I explained as I walked with him, a small smile on my face. "My only thing about being here is that there's a lot of physically aggressive guys that would have no problem hitting a woman," I said after a few moments.

As soon as she made the comment about the guys that would have no problem hitting a girl, I veered off to the side where we could talk and took her hands in mine, looking deep into her eyes. "Now you listen to me." I said in a very serious tone "If one of these goons so much as lays a finger tip on you, I will make it my personal misson to rip off and feed their own scrotum to them. Just stick near me and I'll protect you I promise. " I leaned down and kissed her, gently cupping her chin as i did so.
