Thank you for wanting to take part in Ivory Academy! This page is where everyone can post an outline containing basic information for your character. Please feel free to customize your character sheet as you see fit! Coding is always more than welcome, but is not essential or a requirement. Just an aesthetic, lol. As the outline below is rather simple, feel free to add as much information to it as you wish.

Please stick to written descriptions, realistic type faceclaims, or realistic artwork (i know some programs exist for A.I. to even generate characters. just an idea to float!) . Submissions to be considered NPCs or, even better, an antagonist will be taken seriously just like a normal character. Again, just let me know prior to posting what your idea is.

The atmosphere was charged with an inexplicable energy, and as Lara assisted in the delivery, she felt an overwhelming connection to this stranger. The woman’s calm demeanor contrasted sharply with the urgency of the situation, and when Lara turned to hand the newborn back to his mother, she found the spot where the woman had been laying empty.     One evening, after a lively dinner with the rest of his family, he and his younger brother, Liam, ventured out for a stroll along the tranquil canals of Rotterdam. The fading sunlight danced on the water, casting shimmering reflections as they immersed themselves in their imaginative play as knights, wielding sticks on the ground as their chosen weapons of steel. As they continued to swing away down the canal, a group of masked people approached them, their intentions unclear but seemingly benign. Dante knew that they only wanted trouble and neither him nor his brother were capable of handling this situation—or so he thought. As they drew nearer, Dante felt a wave of unease wash over him, urging him to protect Liam.
    
    In a moment of instinct and desperation, Dante leaped to put himself between Liam and the incoming group of masked perps. As his body tensed, preparing to put up whatever fight possible, a strange energy began to surge around his fists, glowing a vivid red interlaced with wisps of white, black, and a deep wine color. Though bewildered and not knowing what to do, Dante instinctively raised his hands, and with a flick of his wrist, the energy coalesced into a forceful blast. The individuals were thrown back into the water, their startled faces a mix of shock and confusion—just as the expression Dante had; Liam, on the other hand, was in awe at his brother. As masked would-be assaulters splashed into the canal, Dante felt a rush of exhilaration and fear. He had not only protected Liam but had also tapped into a strange well of power he never knew possible nor could imagine. Dante pleaded for Liam to keep what happened a secret, and Liam obliged—so long as Dante does more "red stuff" whenever Liam wanted. He, reluctantly, agreed.
    
    The very next day, that promise didn’t need to be upheld anymore as the Vandenbergs had an encounter with a strange man. He introduced himself as Ozymandias and asked to see Dante. Lara, rightfully so, was not going to let that happen and immediately asked him to leave. However, he muttered something under his breath, and in a flash, Lara changed her mind. Ozymandias was welcomed into the Vandenberg house, where he sat with Dante and discussed the events from the day prior. Ozymandias explained what had occurred and tried his best to further clarify his purpose: how he was tasked with investigating a display of raw magic in Rotterdam that led him to Dante. Following a thorough assessment of Dante’s abilities, Ozymandias became convinced of Dante’s potential. He then invited him to attend Ivory Academy, a renowned institution dedicated to the study of magic. Excitement and trepidation mingled within Dante as he prepared for this new chapter in his life but there was a bearing weight of sadness at the thought of having to be away from his family. Lara, after a private discussion between her and Ozymandias, had very similar feelings. She knew, however, that Ivory Academy was Dante's best chance at learning more about himself and, potentially, who his parents are. Ozymandias eventually led the twelve year old Dante to an old, withering structure in the country-side of Italy—traversing quickly through a teleportation spell. A few muttered words that seemed to ring in Dante's ears (as would anyone's who is not entrusted with the incantation to ignite the portal to Ivory Academy) and some precise hand gestures later, the structure began to slowly repair itself and the engraved grooves throughout the structure began to glow with a blue energy. Soon enough, the portal was ignited with a liquid-jelly and danced as Dante stood, jaw agape at the actions before him.
    
    As Dante stepped through the blue shimmering entrance portal, he felt a rush of energy course through him, akin to being electrocuted with a very quick zap of electricity. The air crackled with magic, and as he emerged from the obsidian outlined portal, he was met with the breathtaking sight of Ivory Academy in the distance. What stood off to the side, past two slender towers and gate, was the Grand Room. Its towering expanse of granite walls loomed majestically overhead, creating an ambiance that was both grand and intimate. Vines and otherworldly foliage, vibrant and well-kept, wound their way up the walls, their leaves shimmering with a hint of luminescence, as if enchanted by the very essence of magic itself.
    
    The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, filled with the scent of fresh earth and blooming flowers. Massive stained glass windows adorned the lower levels, casting colorful patterns of light across the polished stone floor and granite walls. Each pane depicted the beginning of time and reality, their stories forever captured in glass. The granite slowly transformed into a more cobblestone like material, rough and rigid but smooth to the touch.
    
    Along the walls, wax candles flickered gently on small ledges, their flames dancing in harmony with the subtle currents of magic that flowed through the room. But the true illumination came from ethereal orbs that floated gracefully throughout the Grand Room. These luminous spheres pulsed with a soft, golden light, their gentle glow creating a serene and mystical ambiance that made the entire space feel alive with energy.
    
    At the heart of the circular room stood the Altar of Revelation. Its top was carved only a few inches deep and inside was a milky liquid that kept the Heartstone, a magnificent crystalline structure that pulsed rhythmically, its colors shifting from the different magics that existed in the universe. The stone seemed to draw energy from the very atmosphere, thrumming with a power that resonated deep within Dante’s core. The circular altar that surrounded the Heartstone was engraved with ancient runes, their meanings long forgotten yet still potent with magic, whispering.
    
    When the headmistress, Selene Nubois, stepped forward to welcome the new students, her presence commanded respect and admiration. Her long brown hair cascaded down her back, and her eyes sparkled like stars. “Welcome, everyone, to the most sacred tradition here at Ivory Academy," he hadn't noticed it at first, but Dante looked around the room to find that above him and the rest of the first-years was a terrace where present students could watch the ceremony unfold, "Today, you will be sorted into your respective School of Magic, where your true journey of discovery will begin. Some of you may already know, others may not.” The Headmistress smiled into the crowd as she continued to speak on welcoming the new students and giving quite the exceptional display of magic. Before long, the sorting ceremony began.
    
    As Dante and the other new students awaited their turn for the Sorting Ceremony, the excitement in the air was palpable. When his name was finally called, he stepped forward, the weight of all eyes upon him. As he approached the Heartstone, he felt an irresistible pull, as if the stone were calling out to him specifically, the noise getting louder and louder.
    
    When Dante reached out to touch the Heartstone, the room around him faded away, replaced by a dark abyss where he found himself floating among swirling clouds of stardust and distant stars twinkling like gems in the night sky. In this void, he felt a profound connection to the magic within him—a deep well of potential waiting to be unleashed. When he finally emerged from this surreal experience, the eyes of the hall fell upon him with awe. To his shock, the Heartstone had cracked—a jagged line etched across its surface, pulsating with energy. Headmistress Nubois' expression shifted from surprise to concern as she stepped closer, her voice barely above a whisper. “I-” she couldn't speak. There was nothing to reveal where he belonged. In that moment, Dante felt as though he was going to be scolded. To the contrary, Headmistress Nubois' eyes filled with an understanding that transcended mere words and she found her voice again, "Why don't we talk after the ceremony, Mr. Vandenberg? For now, you can join the Infernals." She smiled again as a means to make young Dante feel seen and without blame.

After Dante's first year, Madame Nubois began teaching private lessons to the adolescent Dante—and, surprisingly, not because of favoritism. Call it a coincidence. No Master of Antiquity nor Council member can identify his magic on appearance alone. His abilities are fairly encompassing and he's spent an abundant amount of time combing through tomes and books to try and figure out where he belongs in the world of magic and supernatural. However, he's drawn no conclusion and neither can Headmistress Nubois. For the time he's spent at Ivory Academy he's stayed with the school of Infernal and has made quite the stir within the school but prefers to surround himself with others. His magic is fluid and manifests as a red energy surrounded by wisps of white, black, and a deep wine color. As his mastery and use of magic has grown, his fingertips have become stained black. Again, no Master of Antiquity nor teacher can explain this phenomenon as it has never been recorded nor seen before.
  
  Dante has a familiar that he can summon with a distinct hand gesture, a grey wolf with piercing eyes and a quiet, powerful presence. Though the origins of his familiar remain a mystery—whether it’s a manifestation of some deeper force or a spirit tied to his past—Dante feels a strong, almost instinctual bond with the creature. Since the wolf has never revealed its true name, Dante decided to call him Fenrir, or simply "Fen" for short. Over the years, Fen has become more than just a magical companion; he’s a constant, reliable presence in Dante’s life. The wolf doesn’t speak, but the two communicate through gestures, eye contact, and an unspoken understanding. Fen is fiercely protective of Dante but also has a playful side, sometimes nudging Dante’s hand for attention or curling up beside him when he’s deep in thought. Family History: Born in a wretched family, Hanako lived in a family of six. He was the youngest of his brothers- who were all named after planets except him. Pluto who was the oldest, Mars, and Venus. Hanako's parents on the other hand were divorced and unfortunately he had to be stuck with their abusive father. His mother had favorited her older children and took them with her while leaving him.
Notable Events In Childhood / Adolescence: From being left with an abusive parent, Hanako had spent most of his time desperately hiding from his father in the crevices of their home. Hope was probably the greatest thing emanating from him at that time, but even he knew no one was going to help him. So he was going to help himself. With anxiety/fear and the excitement of being able to be free, Hanako slipped from his house during the night. Somehow he managed to not be found out that he was an 'orphan', but something else did indeed happen. On a eerie, cold winter day, Hanako found himself sitting in the corners of a small shop. That very day did a familiar woman pop in with three boys. His mother didn't recognize him ight away, but when she did, she was full of tears. He was confused- didn't his mother resent having him? But that clearly wasn't the case, because she apologized greatly for how she was before and took him in with his brothers.
Early Magical Experiences: It wasn't long before Hanako had been experiencing weird things happening with him. He always liked to mimic his brother's fake 'kung fu', something he found was silly but fun because he got interact with his siblings. Now, one early morning, he and his brothers were doing some imaginary battles when Hanako had just been ready to imitate a blow to Venus. A glass table in the room shattered randomly the second he brought his hand down mid air, inches away from his brother and not the table. Of course, Pluto easily took the blame so Hanako wouldn't get in trouble, since no one knew what exactly had happened. Similar occurrences had been happening eversince. Hanako had even woken up from his sleep and entered what looked like a dream like world- his brother's dream!

His mother made it sound like he was going to be home in an hour or so, but instead, he was brought into what looked like an academy. At first, he hated it, but eventually he seemed intrigued and a bit excited of actually attending a magics school. That's right. He'd been playing with magic at such age!

  Thirty Days of Endless Night.
  
  It started with the systematic annihilation of one of the northernmost villages in Nóregr (Norway) but as the roving band of insatiably bloodthirsty Agent of Chaos made their way further and further south, rumors finally made it ahead of them and spread throughout the other villages. It was told that these Agents of Chaos could be quelled with sacrifices and if pleased with the offering, they would at least deign to spare SOME lives…but upon hearing such heresy, Freya was unwilling to bend. A woman of devout faith, she turned her eyes to God and prayed for salvation that would still see their souls saved for his Kingdom in Heaven.
  
  On the first day swallowed in Night, the able bodied men readied themselves to defend the village while Freya took refuge inside a covered barn and knelt in prayer. Hands clasped and held to her breast, the pious woman bowed her head and whispered powerful prayers to her Lord to protect and see that they would be spared a gruesome fate. As the fanged beasts approached the village, their eyes of ominously glowing crimson bright with hunger, they were met with an impenetrable force field that repelled them. Confused by the discovery, they beat against the shimmering dome with fists and feet with terrible strength but to no avail.
  
  Sweat dripped down Freya’s brow as she prayed relentlessly for the people of her village to be spared. She prayed they would find the courage to hold on to one another and not give in to the temptation of needless sacrifice. She prayed that they would turn their hearts to the Lord and have faith He would protect them. She prayed that the violence would end here and no others would meet such cruel fates and if need be, her own faith could be called upon to protect them.
  
  For seven whole days, Freya prayed dutifully while her body gradually withered away from strain. Unbeknownst to them as to why, the Agents of Chaos were single-mindedly compelled to shed the innocent blood of those protected by the barrier– only that they HAD to spill THEIR blood. It was on that seventh day that a bright pillar of blinding golden light burst down from the heavens and blasted a hole through the roof of the covered barn...and for the first time in those many days of darkness, the sunlight finally shone through.
  
  Left where Freya prayed for seven days was nothing more than a sun-shaped scorch mark but standing in her place was a being bathed in the same aurum splendor as the heavenly pillar. Brandishing a sword made of pure holy fire, the figure spread her wings wide for the first time and took to the skies with such force that it trembled the earth. A streaking comet illuminated the village and the residents watched with mouths agape in awe as the aureate angel cut through the seemingly endless throngs of fanged beasts with each pass of her blessed weapon. Her wings beat with such power that it would send them tumbling head over heel and yet the gale never did reach the villagers who were protected behind the sacred barrier.
  
  The Agents defeated and countless lives spared, the woman enshrouded in holy fire turned to the villagers and bid a warm smile before disappearing from the world…forever.

  On August 8th at 8:00am, a tow-headed child was born with a sun-shaped birthmark. Her parents were absolutely doting upon the newborn and showered her with as much love as they were able to give. They were a simple couple, lowborn with little prospects but hardworking. They didn’t have much in the way of material possessions but their faith in their church and love for their child was unwavering.
  
  One fateful night as they laid their babe into her crib, their home was the target of those that sought to bring harm to the child– they were invaded by Agents of Chaos shrouded in cloaks of purest black. Their sole purpose and drive was to hunt down the baby and eliminate it before it grew to pose a threat but were temporarily inconvenienced by her loving parents. Despite the insurmountable odds they were faced with, the two still tried with all their might to protect their daughter from the terrible beasts. Even with their best efforts, their sacrifice would prove ultimately futile as the Chaos Demons tore through the mortal man and woman with ease.
  
  As the Demons approached the crying baby with intent to murder, a glowing wreath of golden light emanated from her whole being. Shafts of blinding rays shot out from the child and in their pure splendor the Demons were banished from the mortal plane. They left little trace behind but glowing particles floating in their wake and a sun-shaped scorch mark upon the ground where the Demons once stood.
  
  It was later that same night that two men, brothers, armed with weapons dipped in holy water entered the bedroom and took stock of the massacre that had happened within. Their eyes laid upon a baby in a crib as she gripped the rails to peer over the side curiously. She didn’t cry– she didn’t shed a single tear– but looked at them as though something much older resided behind those innocent blue eyes. Between the strange scene, strange mark on the ground, and even stranger child, the two collected the baby and delivered her to the local church to see if they would accept her.
  
  Identified as Hunters, the two men brought the child to the church who took her in immediately. They did this out of charity and goodwill but upon hearing about the Demons…the burn scar on the ground at the site of the banishing, they all collectively knew they were dealing with something much more than a mere baby. The tales of a Golden Angel who vanquished Demons with holy fire and a blazing sword was a common one and if the child before them was capable of such miracles at such an age…it was no doubt in their minds that the Angel Freya had returned.

  Trinity was raised within the church for most of her life but was often visited by the two brothers that had delivered her to them on that fateful night. She existed with one foot in two worlds: one of righteous teachings and devotion to the Lord and the other learning how to fend off the Demons that would no doubt return to finish the job they’d been assigned when she was a child though now, Trinity was a force to be reckoned with. The Hunters trained her in different ways to dispatch her enemies through force and the Church taught her how to properly exorcize malevolent spirits. Trinity was being trained to become the ultimate weapon against the neverending battle between the Light and the Dark while also learning what it meant to be human along the way.
  
  As her powers grew with each passing year, it was arranged for Trinity to join the Lightbearers at Ivory Academy. She had grown up alongside the other adopted children in the church and was very attached to them as her fellow brothers and sisters. The reincarnated angel was close with the Hunters who visited her as often as they were able– bringing her gifts and trinkets in their travels as they never forgot about the baby they’d picked up many years ago and treated her much like a little sister of their own. She was also attached to the leaders of her Church as they had embraced her from the very first day she was brought to them. The idea of leaving them behind was a daunting one but she knew that it had to be done despite how deeply her connections ran– this was the logical next step in her evolution. Trinity had faith in the machinations of beings much more powerful than herself orchestrating the grand tapestry of fate beyond their realm so when the day came that a swirling portal manifested before her, she bid a tear-filled goodbye to her vast family and took the furthest step away from them that she would ever have to take.

  Taking her place before the Heartstone, Trinity reached out and placed her hand upon it. The room lit up with a warm golden light that bathed everything it touched with auric splendor. Visions flashed in quick succession before the girl but it stopped when she arrived upon a raging battlefield. Cries of pain and anguish mingled with the ringing sounds of blade clashing against blade as both Demons and Angels were felled on both sides. A booming voice echoed within her mind directing her to one sole purpose: eliminate the Demon General for it was the only way to ensure their victory. Launching straight into the fray upon receiving her orders, Trinity felled beast after beast while carving a blazing path up to the General. The battle was fierce on both sides with neither wanting to give up any ground– the ground was soaked in ichor and blood.
  
  Trinity came upon the General in question and with blade in hand, she brandished it and spoke its name; the blade was engulfed in blinding light as holy fire burst from the heart of the sword. With a roar of fury, the Golden Angel locked blades with the Demon General. The two fought with such strength that the earth beneath them trembled from the impacts but neither would fall despite sustaining injuries. Suddenly, the General’s wicked blade was parried from his grasp slicked with blood and it went flying end over end nowhere to be seen. Trinity saw this and capitalized on the opening she’d made. Blade poised to run the General clean through, the Angel dashed towards him…but stopped when out of her periphery she spotted two huddled figures, small and trembling, cowering beneath a large stone pillar. Her eyes went wide when she spotted the growing fissure spider-webbing across the base…they were sure to be crushed beneath it if they didn’t move.
  
  “Trinity…the General–” The same booming voice that had commanded her in the beginning echoed once more within the confines of her mind. Her hands trembled as they gripped the blazing blade, the compulsion almost too powerful to deny.
  
  “I…those children will be crushed if I do not go to their aid.”
  
  “You have a divine directive, Trinity. Their lives are forfeit for if you do not complete your objective, we will surely fall.” The voice grew louder and more insistent in her ears. The power it held surrounded her, making her hands tremble violently with her resistance.
  
  “Then let me shoulder the blame for us losing this battle– I will not allow us to shoulder the blame of innocent lives lost.”
  
  Casting her blade aside, Trinity spread her great wings and with a powerful downbeat she arrived just in time to catch the falling pillar before it crushed the frightened children. They looked up at her straining under the weight but the smile she bore eased their worries.
  
  “Take each other’s hands and hold on tightly,” They did as instructed. “Close your eyes and pray with me–”
  
  Trinity manifested a portal which drew the children into its warmth just as a large blade ran her through. Dark laughter filled her ears from behind as the blade was pushed deeper and deeper until its very hilt came to a stop at her back.
  
  “Fool–” The General chuckled mirthfully as the Angel’s strength gave out and the pillar fell upon her.
  
  Trinity awoke with a startled gasp amidst the gathered who bore witness to her Trial of Essence. Her eyes were wide with worry– she had failed her Trials but the sound of slow applause from the gathered faculty proved otherwise. Passing her Trials meant that she was another step along in her journey to becoming the ultimate weapon of Light.

  Now in her eighth year of schooling at Ivory Academy, Trinity has become a true Lightbearer. She is a source of mentorship and reliability for students and faculty alike and does her best to always remain so. Oftentimes she can become overwhelmed with studies and extracurriculars but she prefers to spend her time amongst others as much as possible. Trinity is an avid member of the student body and participates in many of its events– often as one who is on the planning committee or leadership. Despite being a sort of social butterfly, she knows that this is her last year at the academy and seeks to make the most of it before her true fate is fully realized and duty consumes her. A sort of sadness lingers in all that Trinity does but that never dulls the light that seems to shine from within.
  
  Ever hopeful and looking to the future, Trinity seeks to leave one great, lasting impression upon Ivory Academy as a parting token of her deep appreciation. • HISTORY.

  EARLY LIFE.

  The Sunday morning Annabell was born was intense. A strong thunderstorm ripped through the quaint town of Madison, GA. The first thing noted about her was the quietness after her birth. She only cried for a couple minutes, but once placed in her mother's arms she was completely silent. She was the last child her mother had, after a pair of twin brothers. Most of her childhood was spent homeschooled or playing with her siblings. From an early age, she was taught the importance of the spirits and the laws of voodoo. Though she wasn't allowed to participate in her first ritual until she was a bit older. Even as a child she always heard the faint whispering of spirits from beyond. It always felt like they were trying to call her somewhere.
  
  

  ADOLESCENCE.

  As she grew older she pushed boundaries and butt heads with her family quite a bit. But soon learned her lesson after a ritual gone awry. She was away at the time, messing around in the woods, but felt a strong voice echo in her head telling her to go home. She listened. When she arrived the whole house was a mess, blood stained most of the furniture and carpet. Her parents were somehow alive in all the carnage, but her brothers were nowhere to be found. Her parents were far too shocked to answer any questions, so she simply helped clean up. Despite being only around 10 or 11 she stepped up to help. It wasn't the first time she had been tasked with cleaning up after a dangerous ritual. A week later she tried asking her parents for answers, but they wouldn't budge. Simply saying something went wrong, they never told her what exactly they were doing. So she spent more and more time away from home, practicing some voodoo rituals her brothers left behind in hopes of communicating with them. They never worked.
  
  Eventually, after another failed ritual a stranger approached her. Her mother always warned her never to talk to strangers, but well she was alone now. The stranger pointed out the mistakes in her rituals and asked if she'd like to learn another way that might be easier for her. Annabell was so young she agreed without a second thought. Her parents were familiar with the academy, so it didn't take long for them to agree to Annabell studying there. In their eyes, they saw it as a way for her to forget about her brothers. How wrong they were. She was sorted into the voodoo school with little issue. But she never discussed the scene laid before her by the Heartstone. Every time someone asked, she visibly tensed.
  
  

  CURRENTLY.

  Annabell has cemented herself as a strong practitioner of voodoo, her potential growing stronger and stronger each year. Even so close to graduation, she's discovering new ways to commune with the spirits each day. Somewhere in the middle of her time at the academy, she was inducted into the secret harbinger society. A secret she kept rather close to her chest for her entire time there. But something in the air was different this year. She could feel it in her bones. Plans were moving and she had to get on for the ride.
  
  Luckily, despite her occasional secrets, she maintains a good relationship with most students at the academy, especially those in her area of study. Most regard her the same, but some people find her occasional antics and methods unamusing. They never bothered her though. She does her best to remain in the spotlight enough to be appreciated, but not enough that everyone has an eye on her at all times.

  Annabell is quite an interesting individual to come across. At first glance, she seems kind and well put together. This is close enough to the truth. Her charisma comes in handy whenever she has to address a group of people. Often she stands as the voice of reason within a chaotic crowd. Her ability to combine her charisma and decisiveness makes her decently liked by those around her. She also pledges deep loyalty to those she considers her friends. Rarely does Annabell ever go against the wishes of her friends or family. On the flip side, she's an incredibly selfish person. When coming to conclusions she often thinks of the best case scenario for herself. This seems ironic since she practices voodoo, but she never crosses the moral boundary of hurting others to get ahead. If she does hurt anyone it's always reversible or harmless. Then her sarcasm came come across as offputting to some who aren't used to her bold way of speaking. She's one of those, "I say it how it is" people. Which leads directly to her stubborn nature.   Notable Events in Childhood / Adolescence: He was the typical quiet kid, only bothering others when there was a fight or other conflict. As he aged, he was likely to unintentionally pick fights trying make peace in his school.
  
  
  Early Magical Experiences:
  He was in the middle of an assassination attempt on the Mayor of Rouen, his childhood home, when his defensive magic activated for the first time, protecting the mayor, himself and his twin. After that, he kept his shield up to get the mayor out and that's when the recruiter spotted him. There is one other spell that activated on its own a little later, prompting him to accept the offer to learn at Ivory Academy. He was trying to keep things calm when things took a turn for the worse. A guy punched him in the face after he tried to resolve things and failed. He was promptly sent backwards due to unintentionally using his defense as offense. This would lead to his acceptance of the recruiter's offer.
  
  Reason for Attending Ivory Academy:
  A recruiter had noticed him using defensive magic to keep himself and a couple other protected after an attack in his hometown, and offered him and his twin to learn at Ivory Academy. He accepted after an incident landed him in a fight and a guy punched him in the face, only to be sent backwards.
  
  Trial of Essence: Constantine's Trial involved multiple dilemmas in the same vision. There was a wounded stranger, which he was able to help in ways that most would not expect. He was thinking about this, as this was something he never encountered before, but thought hard. As he helped the stranger, getting them up and healed, to his surprise, he didn't know he could do that. It was at that point that an attack on his location occurred, he got the stranger to a safe location, he knew, from his prior experience, to get the wounded to safety. As he did, he looked over those wounded. He'd only use offense if an attacker got too close to the injured, and typically used his ward spells to try and keep attackers off. It was then he heard that an attacker was causing problems further in the village, but between him wanting to keep this guy in check for this village attack and the safety of the injured and vulnerable, that was what made him think.
  
  Constantine thought hard, this was a confusing situation for him, as he never had to choose between making peace and helping the vulnerable as those two ended up at the same time on a typical day. This was something that he thought hard. Eventually, after a ton of internal debate, he decided to stay and wait to see if the potential leader approached the injured and vulnerable. At that time, he was helping with those seriously injured and in potentially lethal situations. As he helped, more and more were being brought in. He helped them as best as he could.

  Test of Essence

  The Test of Essence for the School of Wicca examines a student's ability to harness natural energies and elements to demonstrate harmony with the natural world.
  
  As Lydia placed her hands upon the Heartstone, she was transported into a vision of a dark, hazy room in which the entire floor had a magic circle sketched out in white lines acting in stark contrast to the smooth black stone floor. In the circle's center was a large cauldron, bubbling with a soothing aura. To the sides of the room were numerous tables; some stacked high with magic times, others polluted with scatterings of herbal ingredients, mysterious liquids, and crystals, while yet another table contained cups of tea, pendulums, tarot cards, and other divination materials. There were no instructions or clues within the room besides the materials and the magical circle. Lydia took up some parchment and began deciphering the magic circle's purpose. After about 2 hours of studying the 6-foot radius magic circle, she determined the magic circle to be a powerful shield spell and ward that needed a correctly brewed magical energy-generating potion to be brewed at the center and imbued with magic.
  After another hour Lydia had correctly concocted the potion and began imbuing it with the magic given to her by Hecate.
  After she completed the imbuing process and changed the correct incantation, Lydia was returned to the room holding the Heartstone and her evaluators.
  
  
  
• Family

  Family History: On Lydia's mother's side of the family the women were known for their belief and study of the stars and prophecy. On Lydia's father's side of the family, people were known for manifesting small acts of natural magic. Most were known for their "green thumb" and ability to coax plants into early and strong growth as well as other small magics. None in her family knew of the existence of the Ivory Academy or the existence of large-scale magic.
  

  Early Magic Experiences

  Lydia dreamed of large-scale magic from the time she was old enough to visualize what that would look like. She started putting the abilities from each side of her family into practice: reading the stars, growing and using herbs, collecting rainwater, studying crystals, and eventually reading any tome on magic she could get her hands on. One day, at the age of 10, Lydia came across a tome detailing how to commune with primordial gods and the powers associated with doing so. She began communing with Hecate, often considered to be the ancient Greek goddess of magic and witchcraft. After communing with Hecate, Hecate offered her power and greater control over nature in exchange for her devotion, which she agreed to. Not long after, Lydia received a letter informing her she had been watched by the Ivory Academy staff for signs of performing large magic and invited to attend the Heartstone Test of Essence to confirm admission.
  
  Lydia now keeps an altar to Hecate as well as continuing her small acts of magic as she studies greater magic acts at Ivory Academy.

III. Personal Background​

1. Family History: Nyx was born to human parents in NYC (New York City), New York. Unbeknownst to her human parents her bloodline was tainted with eldritch energy from an unknown source. This unknown source is a primordial of unknown name which bestowed her great grandfather with "The Blessing of The Snake". Resulting in her steadily transforming into a Yuan-TI Pure blood. And as of now she seems to be steadily transforming into a Yuan-Ti-Halfblood. Who knows maybe she will transform into something more. At first however this was unknown to everyone, and was not noticed for some time. As far as she was aware of at that time her great grandparents were suffering from insanity.
2. Notable Events in Childhood / Adolescence: During her childhood she was (mostly) raises in or around NYC (New York City). Where she met all kinds of different people and their cultures. In defiance of this (or perhaps because of it) she developed a questioning/curious personality. Resulting in her never worshiping/revering any kind of God or spirit of any sort even to this day. But it also contributed to her being (mostly) accepting of others.
3. Early Magical Experiences: She first discovered her magical powers at the age of 11, when her family was being mugged by a gangster. In her rage she unleashed a burst of Eldritch energy. Sending their attacker flying away, he wasn't killed just hurt quite a bit. And now everyone thinks he's crazy.
4. Reason for Attending Ivory Academy: Her first magical experience prompted a recruiter to seek her out and enroll her. No one knows who her recruiter was as she hasn't told anyone. But it is also known her parents admitted her so she could learn to control her powers. Her Trial of Essence was.... unique. Her trail was one where she had to solve several puzzles in an ever shifting maze. Every minute or so the maze changed, her goal was to solve various puzzles. And simply escape.
5. The Blessing of The Snake: There are a few negatives and positives to this curse, for one the more she transforms the more she loses her humanity. Some of her emotions/feelings (such as sympathy, empathy etc) are steadily growing more dull. She has however been able to keep her emotions/feelings (mostly) via a combination of magic and mental fortitude. And certain emotions/feelings also get more extreme (anger, rage, revenge, jealousy etc). She has been able to keep these emotions down for the most part via the same methods. But during times of extreme emotion or need she losses control over them. But also due to the curse some of her senses are heightened, such as her sense of smell and sight. She can see heat (thermal vision), and see in the dark (night vision). She can see a bit farther, and her sense of smell is significantly better (comparable to a dogs). And she can speak a language simply known as Yuan-TI which consists mainly of hisses. As the Blessing of The Snake progresses more traits will manifest, some good and some bad.

Personality: Cain is a quiet yet sarcastic person. He’s usually pretty short and direct with people he doesn't know and it takes a lot for him to fully trust someone. His rather quiet and calm demeanour doesn't however mean that he is passive. He has a sharp tongue and will stand up for both himself and others as he sees fit. He has an almost desperate desire to succeed and refuses to let people get too close to him in case they drag him down. He tends to keep to himself if he can help it and rarely speaks to people without reason (exceptions include but is not limited to: when people are being stupid/idiotic, making sarcastic remarks, correcting people etc.) At his core Cain wan’t to find his own place in this world, independent of his parents wishes, and simply help others. His disciplined upbringing makes it so he struggles to show this but those that take the time to truly get to know him sees a side of Cain few others get to. Childhood

Cain's childhood was pretty monotone, most days played out the same. He has lessons in the morning, followed by lunch either with one of the maids or sometimes his mother (though his mother rarely eats lunch with him), more lessons and then depending on if his father was home or not the entire family would eat supper together or Cain would once again eat alone. The only times Cain would truly interact with his mother alone, away from the servants and maids, was during his private history lesions. HIs mother insisted on teaching him about it herself. Elizabeth, in a turn of events that might be a surprise to most, turned out to be a pretty good history teacher. Teaching Cain how to evaluate and think for himself as well as teaching him important facts about his own lineage and family while also never shying away from topics that might be a bit more heavy and dark (keeping then age appropriate of course) and if he got lucky Cain could even persuade her to talk about Adah. There was nothing more he loved to hear about than his older sister, how brave and kind she was, how she never crumpled under pressure and always kept up appearances. She was everything Cain wasn't. She was brave, loyal, capable and as powerful as they come. Whereas Cain was easily anxious, a scaredy cat and rather lacking in magical talent. Cain used to think about how proud and happy his mother looked when talking about Adah and how her face would drop when she caught herself having droned on about her. Parts of Cain wished his mother would one day speak about him that way, part of him knew it would never happen.

Despite his parents passive involvement in his childhood Cain never considered himself lonely. Shure he only really had acquaintances his own age and never any real friends, his mother insisted he got to know the children of all her friends to keep up their good status, but he never thought of himself as being alone. There was always a hustle and bustle around the manor from servants, chefs and maids and most of them would even stop to have a quick chat with him. His favourite person was always Miss. Adeline, she was one of his primary caretakers, she was always kind and patient with him and never raised her voice. She taught him a lot. How to ride horses, about literature, all the secret servants corridors of the manor and even how to sneak an extra cookie from the kitchen when the chefs weren't watching. After his lesions Cain and Adeline would take walks in the garden. Cain would talk on and on about what he learned that day, random books he had read or anything that came to mind. Adeline would simply listen and ask questions, she was always so patient even when Cain was simply rambling for the sake of filling the silence. Adiline never cared that Cain couldn't be his sister; she only cared that he was happy and cared for. But sadly Adelines employment at the Adams manor came to an end when Cain started at Ivory Academy, maybe that's part of why he resented his parents for sending him there, it took Adeline from him. His mother argued that he would have no need for a caretaker such as Adeline when he was going to the academy, and besides Cain was a big boy now. He should know how to take care of himself.

Early Magical Experiences

Cain was always aware of his own magic. Not in the way were always knew how to use it but in the way where he knew he should have it. Both his parents possessed magic, his mother to a greater scale than her father, and he grew up hearing about how Lydia's magic was one in a thousand. How she possessed it with such grace and harmonie that it was almost beautiful. Cain always wanted to be like that, graceful, powerful, yet never malicious. Simply kind.

His own magic however turned out to be,,, weak, at best. The first time Cain used his own magic was simply, by accident. One of the stray cats he had been sneaking food to, Sunny, has a slight limp. Nothing major but noticeable. Cain tried to reach out for the poor thing but it moved away, but even an untrusted cat can be won over by some patience (and a bit of ham). Cain was able to scoop Sunny up in his arms and take a closer look at her limp. In that moment he was happy Adeline wasn’t around. She probably would have scolded him about picking up stray animals (that probably has fleas). For a moment Cain was extremely upset, too young to properly realise why the cat was hurt and not knowing how to do anything about it. He blinked hard, trying to stop himself from crying when all of a sudden the cat meowed, and rather loudly at that. Cain looked down, his vision blurry from the tears as the cat thrashed in his arms. The cat managed to escape his grasp despite Cain's insistence and it stood on the ground in front of him. No limp in sight.

Cain was confused at first, before he quickly came to the realisation that that was him, his magic had done that. He quickly scooped the cat back up in his arms and ran into the manor, up the stairs, straight past Adeline and ignored her shouts behind him, straight to his fathers office. Cain knew he shouldn't just barge in but desperate times called for desperate measures, so he threw up the door to Mr. Adams office, lucky his father wasn’t in a meeting at that time, and ran in. His father, however composed he was on a daily basis, was confused, and slightly upset that his son had just barged in without knocking until Cain frantically. In hindsight that was probably the happiest Cain had ever seen his father look, he looked properly proud of him at that moment, he was barely even upset he brought a probably stray animal into the house.

Cain tried his best to try and harness his magic after that, his father was certain he would be as powerful as his sister and yet he never was. He was never really able to move past helping simple eínjuries like paper cuts or bruises nor was able to cure illnesses like his sister. At best Cain could soothe a slight fever. His father held out hope, whether it be because he truly believed in Cain or simply because he was too proud to admit that Cain wasn’t his sister is impossible to know. Cain's mother on the other hand gave up on the boy relatively quickly after he failed to show the same raw talent as his sister.

At least he got to keep the cat.

Currently

Despite his put together appearance Cain feels truly lost. His father keeps pushing him to try and truly harness his healing abilities, it was always the type of magic that came naturally for him, to maybe be able to join the Order of the Lightbearers one day. Both Cain and his mother meanwhile don't believe Cain’s magic will ever be powerful enough for that.
Cain's mother on the other hand keeps mentioning that his magic doesn’t need to directly influence his future. Cain believes she’s only mentioning this to hide the fact that she’s disappointed in him. Cain Cornelius Adams, the weakest practitioner of magic in the Adams family for decades.

Family History

Cain comes from a proud and well off family. Both his parents stem from long lineages of people with celestial blood and great power. His mother, Elizabeth, is proud to a fault and won’t let herself nor her family be perceived as anything less than what they are. She was always strict when Cain was younger, paying for private lesions in any subject she believed he needed to excel at. Being less than what was expected was never an option. Cain's father on the other hand, Micheal, was never around much when he was younger. He was usually away working and never truly stepped foot in the Adams home.
Despite never getting the chance to meet her, Cain was always aware that he at one point had an older Sister, Adah, that sadly passed away when he was too young to remember her. Sometimes when his dad was away on business trips and he had finished all his classes Cain used to sneak into his fathers office to look at her portrait. It's a family portrait from before he was born containing both of his parents and Adah. They looked truly happy back then.

Reason For Attending

Cain never truly considered another option other than Ivory Academy. Both his parents went there, probably his grandparents too, and Adah. Though she never got to finish her education…While parts of him feel like he doesn’t deserve a place at the Academy another is happy he is able to continue, and even finish, the education his sister never was able to. Even though he can't reach her calibre.

Family History: Soo-Yun grew up with two utterly annoying and wicked step-sisters, and a mother who was only devoted to her non-blood related sisters. Their father had died under mysterious consequences, yet no one questioned it. She was forced to work early as well while her siblings and parent ate all of what she earned. It wasn't until later on that she proved her worth to her worthless family.
Notable Events In Childhood / Adolescence: It wasn't necessarily work in where she was now living in present time, but in China, young girls did help around way more that you think. Through the ages of 11 and 12, Soo-Yun was 'helping' out with her mother's small bakery vendor. In reality, she was the one doing everything- and yes, she knew how to make pastries at a young age. Blisters and burns scarred her from the heated ovens as a distant memory to what she was becoming.
Early Magical Experiences: It wasn't until when she was nearing thirteen that her older sisters had persuaded her to follow them. That was a big mistake, because they were planning to prank Soo-Yun in the worst way. Unfortunately for them, just as she was about to fall in a big hole which was covered by debris, a pack of boys had found and swarmed over the three of them. Her older sisters were harassed and beaten before the boys had left, and even Soo-Yun felt sad for them. With overpowering emotions, she began speaking in a slurred voice which seemingly sounded like a chant. The voice of her sisters gasping made her realize that some of their wounds had healed. Afterwards, her whole family realized her ability and started using her for their own good. They forced her to do rituals, one for their business to promote luck and high money earnings.
Reason For Attending Ivory Academy: But it wasn't someone finding Soo-Yun, it was her finding them. On a normal walk, fliers were being set up, showing her profile of how she could magically use rituals to her own favors. Soo-Yun wanted to cry, because she was just getting used again and again. It became too stressful that she had ended up walking into a woman who was actually searching for her. Soo-Yun learned about an offer of some sort of academy, and she immediately agreed. Her family was outraged, attempting murder on her, but she made it out alive by a protection-which was utterly weak-spell.
