James sighed and got up from the ground following faith ready with his crossbow "your not going alone" he said as he trailed faith watching for more danger worried more would come with how crazy the day had been "I cant believe today.bit more than just a quiescence

Kyle & Kade

Kyle nods as he follows her holding out one of his Katana. Kade is right by him and has his gun out. He watches everyone to make they are ok. "Everyone make sure you stay low. I'm gonna go around to the other side to provide some back up there. " Kyle runs to the other side of the building and sees Max and the other guy. He waits for one of them to make a move. While Kade sees Faith and mumbles "Let's hope he is nice"

Lukas

Lukas kept his hands up and refused to even look at the Glock 22 hanging out of a holster on a belt he'd found. He figured even looking at it would be taken as hostility. At least they couldn't see the kitchen knife that was in his backpack. Lukas sighed. "I'm Lukas Jaeger, although last names are kind of useless now..." Last names are totally useless without a family. He pondered whether he'd get away with running. That boy could catch up pretty well and it seemed he knew at least the basics of freerunning. "Also, those moves are what is called parkour."


Lukas felt as if someone else was watching, so he turned his line of vision to look behind him and his eyes widen. There was someone else watching. He felt horribly trapped, as if these people were going to kill him. He turned back to the boy that was in front of him and let his hands drop slightly. Lukas's arms were getting a bit tired from being held high. He tried to look calm, but he could feel his fear and worry seep into his facial expression.

Max

"Well Lukas I am max and that's Kyle I am not gonna hurt you unless you do something stupid we were startled is all doing things like that could get you killed" he said lowering his bow and looking at James,Faith,and Kade as they approached "everything is fine don't worry just some half awake free-runner" he said turning back to Lukas " I am well aware its parkour." he said annoyed that it was assumed he didn't

Lukas

Lukas sighed in relief and let his arms drop entirely now, falling at his sides. "To be fair, I didn't count on a mannequin falling and bringing attention to myself. And besides, when I see a group these days, my first thought is usually along the lines of 'Oh shit! Horrible people that live to kill and conquer an already dead world!'. Seriously, I haven't run into any good people since this whole thing started. Not since I was split from my friends." His expression seemed a lot less afraid and worried, but more of a mysterious sadness as he remembered what he did at the start of the apocalypse. Lukas had ran as soon as he heard about the zombies. He ran from everything and everyone- even himself.


Lukas looked at the group with a newfound concern. "Besides, what gave you guys the bright idea to stand in one spot and hold a casual conversation? I could have been anyone. I could have been one of those horrible people. That's not like how you were acting was any safer than my wild dash." He pointed out, starting to sound like some worried parent.

Faith

"What's the point in hiding," She said to Lukas, "We know there are zombies, we know there are people, if they want to kill us, so be it. We'll try our best to survive, at least that's my reason for being out in the open, but i didn't really have anyone to protect." She looked at the other people with them who had had someone there since the beginning, someone to talk to.

Lukas

Lukas slowly nodded. He knew what she meant about having no one to protect. He personally wished he could protect everyone who had a good heart, but he knew that that was some cutesy daydream and nothing more. "I hide for the chance to live until I can find my friends again. I know they're out there.. I just don't know where. I know they're alive, and even if they aren't I'll search the ends of the earth for them. The chance to see their smiles and nerd out or train with them is enough for me to keep going, which also means hiding." He trailed off until he shut up, wondering why he just poured his heart out to these random people.

Max

"well while I love being judged by some random guy I don't know about what I do I think we should get moving we are burning daylight." Max said looking at the group before heading back over the fence.He was never fond of being judged by others especially now that he didn't have to put up with it.

James

"It was me...I am the reason he was standing their having a causal conversation he was protecting me." James said upset realizing the danger he had put the two of them in then a look of mild anger ran over his face as he realized Max rushed off into danger and could have died what would he have done he thought.As max got over the fence James punched him in the arm.

Max & James

"ow what was that for"Max said angrily "For you not thinking about what I would have done if this had ended in a fight and you dead"James said getting more angry than before "W..What are you talking about of course I thought of that but your the reason I had to do it besides I knew if anything happened you would have them...Come here."Max said turning and pulling James into a hug before kissing the top of his head.

Lukas

Lukas felt a little guilty. "I didn't mean to sound judgemental, I was just making a point... Like I said, I could've been anyone. That's all I was saying. I wasn't trying to judge or anything like that..." He felt kind of hurt, but shook away the feeling. Why the hell does that even hurt? I mean they're just some random group of survivors who just happen to not be total douchebags... Lukas tried to keep his expression light and hopeful, not dark and hurt. He scratched his head, remembering what his friends argued with him just before he ran- there's safety in numbers. Should I try to join them..? Lukas shook the thought away. Finding his friends was top priority, not making new friends.


Lukas gave them a short little wave. "Well, good luck with... Um.. Stuff, you know what.. Good luck with life! Cya!" He practically flew over the fence and stayed in the shadows in alleys as he made his way in the opposite direction of the group. He hoped that the group would make it far, but he had his own goals- such as finding his friends.

Faith

Without thinking, Faith called out to the boy, "Hey!" She called out, "You could stick with us, if you'd like to," she turned to Kyle then back towards the gate, "After all, there's strength in numbers!"

"Yeah you should come with us"James said quickly in response to Faith "C'mon it would be safer...Besides Max is just not in a great mood I am sure you two will get along just fine." he continued smiling hoping Lukas would change his mind "Yeah and who knows it might be fun having someone around that can challenge my parkour skills"Max replied only because everyone else wanted him to come "I am sure I wont point my bow at you again...Probably" Ha said jokingly

Gerard was stepping out the front doors of prison. most of the guards had left and some had stayed. he deeply inhaled and exhaled " Free.." he started laughing a bit and looked around " now. how do i get past the gates..." he put a hand on the back of his neck


India was inside Gerards house sitting on the couch with her knees to her chest " what am i gonna do..." she took a few deep breaths and got up going to his room and grabbing a baseball bat and one of the few of his guns walking towards the door

Kyle walks up to the group. He looks at the group and mumbles "Welll we do have an group after all." He looks at Faith and smiles slightly and says while walking up to her "Well now you have people to protect. Since you are the leader I think. " He thinks softly

Kade

Kade stays by Faith as his brother runs back. He looks at the boys in front. He wants to join them but he doesn't think Max will like him too. He just stays by Faith and his brother. He looks up at Faith and asks "What's your favorite color?"

James noticed Kades want to join them but worry about Max he lightly nudges Max in the arm and whispers something into his ear max stops and turns with a smile getting down more on Kades level "Hey Kade come here...I got something I want to show you" he says reaching into his bag for something. James stood by watching and smiling I love when he is like this James thinks as he watches Kade and Max interact

Kade looks at Max and smiles as he walks up to them. "What is it?" Kade asks softly as he looks to Max. He was really happy. He haven't had kids in his age group to talk to in so long. Kade keeps smiling as he looks at Max bag happily

Max pulls a small pendant out of his bag

"This is from Tibet its a symbol for protection and its the only thing I have ever had from my parents.."Max explains as he puts it around his neck " I want you to keep it safe for me and as long as you where this you will be safe nothing will hurt you." he continues as he looks at the pendant around Kades neck "and if you ever need anything you can come to me alright."he says smiling as he stands up "you wanna walk with us?" He asks as he rejoins Kade

Gerard looked down the long fence and liked past the gate seeing someone "HELLO?!" He said as loud as he could but it was one of the undead


India walked out the house and started walking the streets carefully scared for her life. She didn't really know how to protect herself since she had been pampered her whole life

Kade smiles as he looks at the pendant on his neck. He smiles softly "Yes Max, I will keep it safe" He looks up at Max and nods "I will Max and yea I wanna walk with you" He runs up to them smiling and making sure the pendant stays around his neck. He has never gotten an pendant or an necklace from anybody before. His big brother either. He looks back at Kyle and smiles giggling a bit. He was very happy and says softly "Thank you Max"

Kyle

Kyle watches as Max gives Kade the pendant and smiles. All he ever wants is for his brother to be happy. Ever since they left their house. He has seen Kade killed and protect himself when an 7 year old shouldn't have to. He has seen Kade cry out for their parents when he sleeps because he's having an nightmare. Kyle had to step up and become his parent when all he wanted to be was his brother. He shakes his head when he sees his brother smiles and giggles at him. It was worth living and surviving like that if he can see him smile like that right now

Gerard sat down looking up at the thing. The face was rotting away and he just kept staring at it "is this real?..." He said "how long was in in there?..." He looked at the prison and walked back inside


India walked around town holding the bat shaking furiously looking around paranoid and was on the verge of crying

Max&James

As they walked Down the street Max saw someone in the distance he looked Back at Kyle and Faith and pointed to the person walking down the street "I don't think we are gonna catch a break today..." Max said looking at James and Kade before seeing a Zombie slowly getting closer to her "James Can you get it I don't think I can get in range in time"Max said worried that the obviously terrified woman would get eaten James nods as he gets on a knee and lines up his shot before Max runs toward her "Kade stay with James" he says as he runs off moments later James takes his shot and drops the Zombie as max runs towards her vaulting over objects as he goes hoping to make sure he gets to her before anything else James looks around and sees more heading that way he whistles and Max quickly responds

Gerard looked around and the inmates were all yelling since they were in the courtyard were most if the undead were and he grabbed a the emergency fire Axe


India dropped the bat and yelped cringing as she looked at the body and back at James and at max completely terrified

Lukas

Lukas had zoned out completely and realized that the group had tried talking to him, but he didn't know what they had said. He was mad that he'd randomly zoned out- he had been completely vulnerable. He went back to the group, careful not to make too sudden of movements that would startle them like earlier. Lukas looked over and saw a new face alongside the group- some seriously freaked out girl. "I guess I might as well join you guys.." Strength in numbers... Lukas could almost hear his friend's voice as the simplistic phrase echoed through his mind.

"I'm anything but a leader," She said to Kyle and followed the younger kids. She knew they could protect themselves, but she still didn't like the idea of them being alone. Faith nodded when Lukas called back to them and continued to follow the kids.
