It started with a death.

"F-For bothering y-you" Ash mumbled quietly, tapping her fingers quietly against the cast on her leg, tensing as she heard the other girl get closer to her

" you didn't bother me" savvy pulled the chair from the desk against the adjoining wall, " I thought you could use a friend" Savannah took a seat.

Ash looked up at her, tilting her head, "F-Friend?" She asked quietly, amber eye gleaming slightly at the idea, though she looked back down in thought

Savannah nodded, "its obvious that your afraid, and that probably one of the worst feelings in the world" she paused remembering the first moment she saw her sister dead. The overwhelming feeling of sickness and frightening realization all hit her at once. Savvy brought herself back to reality " I know what its like to be afraid, I also now know what it feels like to be alone, otherwise I wouldn't be here" savannah spoke quietly while twisting a thread on her pants.

Ash watched her, nodding slightly in agreement to the simple definition of fear. She noticed the way the other girl seemed to zone out in thought, before she spoke again, "Being alone..... For the last few years...I would rather of been alone" She said softly

Savvy shook her head, " you may think that but I can promise you its truly terrible to be utterly alone." Tears rose to her eyes and she tried her best to hold them back. "You have no idea how empty you feel-" a few tears escaped her eyes, "- when you are actually alone." Savannah looked down wiping her eyes.

Ash looked at her and shrugged, then gently reached out to hold the other girls hand in a comforting way, "Maybe not but.....I'd rather of been alone than with my uncle."

Savannah thanked her for trying to comfort her, " its a terrible thing to be alone. I would take anything to not be alone anymore ." Savannah looked at Ash

Savvy sighed, " but that's not going to happen, she's never coming back." The last bit slipped from her mouth before she could think. She got up put the chair back and looked to Ash again. " Sorry I have to go" she ran from the room falling to the floor upon entering her room. Suddenly she was back to that night. She felt Jason's slap against her face, his horrific smiled stained with blood. She screamed for help to only her echos of herself. She tried to fight the tesrs, Winter was breathing so shallow now, " Hold on Wyn , please." Savannah screamed at him, but he just laughed both brothers actually just laughed and continued to torture her. One stab to her sister at a time.

Ash noticed how panicked the other girl seemed and, after being alone for a few seconds, grabbed her crutches and limped after her quickly. When she finally found the other girl, she settled on the floor, gently shaking her, her own eyes wide and panicked

Her eyes fixed on her sister watching her take every breath, she suddenly felt a sharp pain on the back of her head the warmth consumed her as the black surrounded her eyes. She felt one last tear stream across her cheek before going unconscious.

Ash pulled the girl further into the room, pulling her head into her lap and gently tapping her cheek, "Wake up....please....." She mumbled softly

Savannah felt something on her cheek and she slowly opened her eyes. The bright lights felt like daggers in her eyes. And she searched around for Wynter she could barely see anything. " Wynter? " she questioned.

Savannah came to the sudden realization that she was actually in the institute not with her sister, she began crying harder, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't help herself.

Savannah finally composed herself and pulled away from Ash "sorry." She helped the other girl up then sat on her bed.

Savannah frowned, "its not." Her father had always taught the girls to be strong rather than to be the girly type. That survival was more important than anything else and her she was in a mental hospital and her sister dead. A funeral she wasn't able to attend.

Ash looked at her silently and nodded, knowing what she meant, "of course it's not....I mean...we're both here because of something so..."
