Lothric
As Lothric was noticed by more and more people, he was stunned to find that most of the population didn't seem too frightened of him. He looked around, this time taking in more of his surroundings, and found a once vibrant town almost completely reduced to rubble. Large holes frequented the houses closest to the road, and the state of the people was dire indeed. "It feel weird..." The dragon thought to himself "...when you're not the one causing destruction. Seeing it first hand, and the people it effects... What is this feeling? Fear? Sadness? I had never felt sadness about my job before."
Turning his attention back to the three oddities amongst the crowd of humans, he first turned his attention to the oddly dressed human. As their eyes met, instead of flinching or looking away, the human seemed to laugh through his fear and play even better, letting the rush of emotion fuel his art. A form of respect formed in the pit of Lothric's chest for this man; deciding to face adversity head on instead of fleeing. That was a trait that Lothric needed at the moment...
The next to catch his eye was the humanoid tree. Her complete lack of fear and self preservation actually startled Lothric, freezing him in place. Anything that wanted to touch him that badly probably had some anterior motive... right? She seemed to fiddle with some sort of musical contraption that seemed to puzzle both Lothric and its user. How innocent was this being? Was she truly this... quirky, all the time? He appreciated the song that she sang for him: it stroked his ego just enough to not want to flee for now.
The beast man was the oddest of the bunch. While his instrument didn't hit as high of notes as the human, it combined with the human's instrument made the performance twice as good. He watched as the man's face went from shock to delight as he screamed for Lothric to roar for him. The dragon squinted his eyes at the beast and snorted in rejection. As if he'd do something for someone he'd just met.
Lothric edged closer to the edge of the rooftop he was sitting on so he could be within earshot of the group (but outside the reach of the pink one) and addressed the group. "I haven't been here long, but I've heard your plan as well as your talents. You've got courage to face adversity with something non-violent, but what makes you so sure that you could win?" He extends his wings, going inwards and then out, as though to point out the area around them. "Whatever did this far surpasses the strength of a human... so what drives you?" While he wanted this answer to justify whether or not he should help them, in reality he wanted the answer for himself. Since he had been sentenced to the mortal plane, Lothric feared every day for his own mortality. Any day he could be struck by lightning or trampled over in a freak accident, not unlike the lives of humans and similar folk. If they held the secret to thriving in this world, then he needed to know.
