Twilight is a cool caste to go with, but I am quite happy with my Dawn martial artists.

Welcome!

Might as well give an update while I'm here. I've had to drop Larceny cause it was funneling too many points away from other bases I needed to cover and it's the type of ability I'd make a huge investment into for it to really shine. In its place I've got a couple things I'm dabbling in to fill out the whole merchant adventurer thing in the scavenger lands. We'll see how things fall now that it looks like we have a Twilight to complete this circle.

Psychie Psychie I have added a bit of background to Amara. Would you please take a look at it and make sure it is something that will fit in your game?

Sherwood Sherwood I take it from your background that you are still in touch with Jessup Oleg?
Occasionally. He could have easily let her die from her wounds, or worse, turned her over to the Wyld Hunt. She feels that she owes him a debt.

Hi and welcome, Eonivar Eonivar . My Night caste leads with Stealth, but is dabbling in Sorcery and Lore (as an oral tradition, and with the Lore probably focussed on local spirits). They're only sidelines, so I don't mind if you're going heavier into those or in a slightly different direction, but let me know if we'll be treading on each other's toes and I'll try to back off one or the other.

Currently trying to decide between Presence and Resistance for my Supernal. Like, which would be better suited for the game being run?

After listening to a bunch of podcasts and tossing around ideas in my head during work, I am leaning towards my Twilight definately being a hardcore sorcerer type. Yes, Obsidian Butterflies will be included (and eventually DeathRay...) More details to come as I put them together.

Probably Resistance.
I might as well ask even though most of these I have little to no investment in at the time. Only action adjacent supernal options I have are Ride, Sail, Occult, and maybe Presence in a very specific path.

The supernal ability bonus is wasted on me most of the time, but I don't suppose any of those would strike you as particularly useful for this game? If not I might as well leave it at Bureaucracy or just strike it off the sheet altogether.

Hmmmm. Occult could come in handy, along with Presence. Depends on how you wish to develop your sheet.

That should be fine alongside mine, where my sorcery is more likely utility stuff than KILL THINGS (Cirrus Skiff, Flight of Separation, Spoke the Wooden Face). But I'll make it my third string anyway. How much are you leaning into the other, Spirit-affecting, side of Occult?

I've got Spirit-Detecting Glance & Spirit-Cutting Attack, but that's largely in relation to my character concept.

I too plan on going a similar route for similar reasons and I don't see this as a bad thing, cause this may mean we get to come against these sorts of opponents more often.

I am still debating on charm layout and character actually…I have never played this and have not read the book for some time, so it’s taking me a bit longer to put the character together. My concept would have made a good abyssal so far, hehehe, but there is no abyssal book for 3rd Edition yet.

From what I have read and listened to Sorcery does not really fit into combat but for a few spells. Still the Sorcery is pretty neat. I am tempted to purchase the Lunar book and see what options are there, shapechangers are fun and all, but I am going to build out my Twilight and see how they come out before doing that.

If you need any help or advice, let us know. There are still a few interesting ways a sorcerer can fight. After all, a 3E sorcerer is far more than a collection of learned spells.

I'd start by skimming over Dodge and see if any initiative disruption charms speak to you. I'd also consider looking over shaping ritual merits and the Thrown ability.
