Elliott and Rinaa just shrugged at Chas' words, neither had meant any malice with their words and Chas was fully aware of that. "At least I used some kind of tact." Elliott pulled off another slice of his orange as he said those words. "so what kept you up? Nightmares were always more of me an' John's department than yours." That didn't mean Chas wasn't immune to nightmares, but when all three were asleep in the same apartment it was Elliott, particularly young Elliott who'd be the most likely to have nightmares. " It was these weird memory frgament things, started off with my own memories, but the later ones definetly weren't mine and I'm pretty sure I saw the end of the world....or a world amongst them."

Elliott raised an eyebrow, more in surprise than skepticism. It wasn't that he didn't believe Chas on what he saw, he trusted that the cabbie would be telling the truth, his surprise was due to the fact thta Chas had never been able to see the future before. "Want me to take a look at them? See if I can uncover anything else?" "Yeah actually, if you don't mind of course." "Not at all, I really don't have any plans for the rest of the day. The others" he gestured around the room"have gone up to finish the final markings on the landing strip. And after that they're doing the offshore docking structure thingy, which is really just a case of stay out of the way and let them work."

John squeezed Kay's hand in hwta he hoped was a reassuring manner, before letting go so he could make himself breakfast. He'd made breakfast one handed before when the other one had been smashed up and the healing rune was taken a long time to reconstruct all the delicate structures, but he prefered to do it two handed. He decided on toast and a mixture of leftovers. The fridge in Cliff's family home always seemed to have leftovers of some sort, with todays being some kind of goat meat concoction (which looked and asted far nicer than it sounded). He sat on the arm of the couch, crossing one leg over the other. His position meant he was beside both Kay in the couch and Chas on the armchair.

Fia listened to Elliott and Chas chat, and seeing him eat his orange, reminded her to grab some breakfast herself. She got up, walking to the kitchen whilst having a look to see what she wanted before settling on an apple. She grabbed a second for Kay, sensing that her mother wasn't even thinking about eating. Walking back to the seat she was on just moments before, she chucked Kay the spare apple, whilst having hers in her mouth. Kay grabbed it easily enough one handed, the throw making her snap out of her mind. "Get out of your head and eat sis" Fia remarked in a slightly stern but concerned and loving tone.

Kay felt reassured when John squeezed her hand before letting go to get himself some breakfast. "Sorry kiddo..." Kay replied to Fia, whilst half listening to what Elliott was saying in between bites into the apple. "Hey Ell...can you do it for Kay too. It seems both Chas and Kay had weird arse dreams and we don't think it's a coincidence at all" Fia spoke, more out of concern for Kay as for her, it had been a while since she'd seen Kay truly phasing out mentally over something. It also took all of her effort to not call Kay 'mum' in this instance. With John coming back, Kay was glad that he sat back between her and Chas, as it did make her feel so much better. She also couldn't help but glance at what he grabbed for breakfast and wondered what the leftovers were. "Fia I don't need you to speak for me" Kay said, but there was no snark in her tone. "No but you keep spacing out and I KNOW it's down to what was said. I'm worried okay?" Fia replied back, before looking back at Elliott for his reply to her earlier question.

John was grateful for Fia intervening and making Kat eat something. Had Cliff been there, he would have left that job to the doctor, as he really didn't feel comfortable with the idea of reminding other people to eat, given that he wasn't the best at doing it himself (as his fridge could attest to). This feeling increased when Fia spoke for Kay in asking Elliott to take a look at what Kay saw. He could sense the effort it was taking to suppress the urge to call Kay 'mum'. He could practically hear the unspoken word."She has a point on both things y'know." He shrugged, making it clear he was siding on Fia with this one while at the same time spearing a bit of goat, his eyebrow rising in surprise at the taste.

Elliott raised an eyebrow at the mention of Kay having weird dreams of her own, clearly he'd missed something (which was fast becoming a theme in his life). "Yeah Fia, I can do that too, it's no biggie really." Elliott had no problems with using his MindWalking abilities to help others with their dream and memory related problems. He knew his gift provided invaluable insight into other people, both for them and for him. It also gave people a safe space to re-experience memories and woke through them. In a strange way he was providing a sort of therapy. "But two things first" He told them, his voice going serious, making it clear that they were non negotiable. "That goat smells bloody amazing" he gestured at John's breakfast."So this is waiting until after I've eaten." "Obviously, wouldn't have it any other way." Elliott eating before MindWalking was a well established fact, so John knew that what what Elliott actually meant was 'somebody get me some of that goat'.

John went to the kitchen to do just that. "And the second thing?" "Keep me in the bloody loop about this kind of stuff yeah? When I was in the cell that was different, but there's really no excuse now. So if anybody else has weird dreams last night it's worth mentioning now." "Well I didn't actually bother with sleep last night, so there's your answer." John replied as he passed the bowl over. "And weird dreams are just a standard thing for me after the past three years, so that doesn't really matter either." Rinaa shrugged, having been listening to the comversation the whole time and knew that if she didn't say something about the state of her sleep Moya might. She hadn't been able to sleep properly the past few years, though where that was a side effect of time travel or dying was another thing.

Kay sighed and rolled her eyes when John sided with Fia on both her points she made. She should have guessed that the two of them would have noticed when she wasn't in the room mentally and when she was. She also noted Elliott raising an eyebrow at what Fia said about her having a weird dream. With Elliott saying he'd do it, both Kay and Fia nodded. Fia's nod more out of genuinely appreciation that her big brother would help her mother. The teenager also smirked when he started his two 'rules' for agreeing to do it. Even from her timeline, she k we him eating before doing a Mindwalk was important and didn't really need to be said.

"I just fell asleep at my desk, sooo....no weird dreams from me. Just back ache." Fia smirked, glad she never got nightmares from horror games or movies, which could have easily happened with anyone else after doing a horror vr game. Kay just kept eating her apple, knowing deep down that it was no where near enough food to eat in her current state, but she didn't really care which was something that surprised even her. "My weird dream could be nothing...it was just conversational" Kay tried to defend, making Fia raise an eyebrow. "Nah...you don't play that card. You had a chat with blurred out people in our dead language that has blatantly spooked you, and you're keeping some of that chat hidden from me. It's something" Fia practically scolded.

When Fia gave her explanation of how her sleep went Elliott had to refrain from making a comment along the lines of 'do any of the teenagers in this family know how to sleep in a proper place?' Rinaa's words didn't come as a surprise either, it was three years ago that she'd been bitten and even if she didn't have split personality disorder, her wolf 'side' was clearly more than a physical transformation. He leaned back into the couch, savouring the taste of his breakfast. Goat was something he'd eaten quite a lot in his childhood as the mountainous terrain around his home town and the military base meant that commercial cattle farming just wasn't practical. This meal was flavoured with a variety of spices, some he recognised and others he didn't, and Elliott had to refrain from letting out a sigh of contentment.

Fia's chiding of Kay brought a flicker of a smirk to Rinaa's face, it vanished as soon as she realised what her facial muscles were doing. Moya didn't have any such inhibition, nobody had ecplictely told her not to listen to this conversation and maybe she was pushing things by listening in, but so long as they continued talking in a language she understood, without explicitly stating this was a private conversation she was going to listen. "Again, Fia's got a point here. Not only is it your people and your language, we all know full well that any dream conversation related to the magical world are more often than not a message. And if checking it out mena dthat we prove its nothing, then we have that certainty of knowing and can stops coming up with crazy conspiracy theories, like the ones racing a mile a minute through John and Chas' heads.

Fia knew Elliott well enough, albeit his future self to know what he could be thinking about what she said. She just refrained from saying anything to bring it up. Usually she did sleep in a normal place like a bed, it was rare that she fell asleep anywhere but the bed, but it seemed last night was one of those rare occasions. Whereas Kay wasn't surprised at all that Fia fell asleep at a desk whilst reading. It was a typical student thing that even she herself had done when she was in her university dorm room.

Both girls noticed Moya smirking at Fia's scolding of Kay, and both knew that it would amuse Rinaa even if she refused to properly show it. She had enough contempt against their other selves to get a sense of amusement out of it, which neither could blame her for. Yet then came Elliott also agreeing with Fia and Kay just groaned as it seemed everyone was siding her teenager. "Fine, I get it, Fia is being the smart one on this matter. You're all acting like I'm straight up refusing to do it" Kay said in defeat. "Nope, I'm pointing out how bloody stubborn you are" Fia smirked smugly, making Kay be the one to flip Fia the middle finger for a change instead of the other way round. "It's who was telling me that's got me confused more than anything. Like I've said, they were silouetted out and blurry, I couldn't tell if it was direct family that's long passed, warriors or whoever else. The conversation I'm sure I could write down in both languages" Kay explained.

"Kay just do the bloody mindwalk when Ell is ready to and stop being bloody stubborn. If you write it down you know I'll just read whatever you're hiding from me" Fia pointed out, whilst showing she could be just as stubborn. ".....valid point" Kay sighed. "All my points have been valid. And if these two-" she gestured at John and Elliott, "agree with me then I know I'm right!" She grinned smugly.

Kay flipping off Fia provided a slight bit of comic relief for everybody to smirk at, but the vimbersation stayed serious for the most part. Getting anybody in their group to do anything seemed to be like drawing blood from a stone sometimes. In this case it was clear that Kay was being ridiculously stubborn on the matter and that Fia was right to be pushing it, but other times it wasn't so clear cut. It always came to a point where somebody would make a leadership decision and refuse to change to any other course. In this case it was Chas. "So it's agreed then, both of us will do the MindWalking, and if we find out nothing then at least we tried, and if we do find something, then it's one thing we can put as a certainty." "Sounds like a plan." Elliott agreed, making it clear that there was to be no further discussion on the matter.

The conversation switched back to more light hearted stuff, with Nat disappearing upstairs partway through only to re-emerge with sandpaper and a set of paints and fine brushes for his work asking his dad to give him a warning if Cliff and/or Cal appeared so he'd have enough time to hide his work. Rinaa and Moya were talking about music and their own experiences which seemed to focus particularly on times things went horribly wrong like the time a younger Moya managed to get her wings tangled in a lighting rig which John found hilarious, prompting a story from his time touring with the band where the roadie had become so annoying that they ended up duct taping him to a lighting rig and leaving him there for a few hours. Chas was caught between groaning and laughing fondly at the memory, before settling for a combination of the two. With all food eaten, Elliott turned to face Chas and Kay. "So whose going first?"

Kay and Fia listened to Chas make the executive decision to close the topic, which came as a welcome thing to Fia particularly. Both of them nodded in agreement at what Chas said, Kay knowing deep down they were all right. She didn't even really know why she was being so stubborn on the subject, she never got that stubborn over doing a Mindwalking session with Elliott before, so without an explanation for it, she put it down to hormones.

With the subject changing to a more light hearted tone, Kay was thankful and enjoyed the mood lift, chuckling at the stories being told, especially of Moya's. She also laughed at John's, finding it not surprising in the slightest that his younger self would be capable of such a thing. It also gave her a glimpse of where Fia may have got her pranking personality from. As Elliott turned round to herself and Chas and asked who should go first, she figured she may as well go first as hers was a lot less complex sounding than Chas' and definitely less to work through. "I may as well go first. There's less to work through in comparison to Chas' dream and it'll stop the nagging" she said, with a tiny smirk appearing on her lips as she faces Elliott, whilst staying on the couch.

Elliott hadn't heard this particular story of John's before and neither had Rinaa so they both listened attentively. Neither considered that there could be a connection between that incident and Fia's prankster streak, but that didn't mean there was one. The conversation revealed that Moya herself didn't sing, not having the voice for it, in steading playing a mix of drums and keyboard depending on what was needed as well as designing costumes for the others. Music wasn't her number one passion, more of something to do for fun, but Rinaa trusted her judgement enough to let her sift through a list of various songs clips on her USB drives (though for what reason she couldn't say).

Chas shrugged "fine by me." It made sense for Kay to go first, her dreams may have lasted a good portion of the night, but she had said it was a repetition of the same thing, where as his was a contumous stream of new images. John moved away from Kay, making sure he wasn't touching her, in case he got sucked in. Elliott's eyes glowed blue once again as he brought Kay into the landscape of his mind. The memory needed was in her mind, but he figured it would be best to start off in his mind, so he could explain how to hone in on the correct memory without showing him her entire life by accident. As he did this Rinaa leaned as close as possible to watch, having never seen this being done before in her life. The fascination on her face was evident, but there was also a tinge of sadness in knowing that she hadn't inherited this ability.

Elliott's mindscape had changed from the London skyline he had used the other times to an updated version of the view from the roof of Cal's apartment block. "Do you wnat me to bring in any of the others for this or......?"

During the previous chats, neither Kay or Fia said much even in the music topic, but Kay did recite a couple of memories of when her mother was teaching her piano at ages 7-9, and how her mother would always do something stupid like kicking the stool legs, or slapping hard on the top of the piano if she ever went wrong, and kept up with it until she got things right. Which only made her miss the instrument so much more, and it was proving evident in her tone.

Kay partially lied when she said earlier it was a repetition, but it wasn't entirely a lie either. It did eventually repeat, but not as often as she made Fia believe. There were lots of other chatter but it was the heavy conversation that truly stuck with her. She let Elliott do what he needed, noticing how his mind imaging was different to the London landscape. Her mind keeping her in a similar outfit to what she was wearing in reality but she wasn't showing and seemingly not pregnant. With Elliott's question Kay had to seriously think about it, did she want anyone else? Or should it be something she did metaphorically alone? It was a tough call to make, but she knew she'd just get asked about it anyway, "may as well bring John in..will save the questioning. It'll be easier to translate what was said in here with him as well without Fia knowing" she smirked.

Elliott nodded at her call "but she will find out eventually in some way or another, she already knows you're keeping back something and I may not have spent as much time around her as you guys have, but it's clear she really can't be stopped whne she puts her mind to something." But he did as she asked focusing his attention in his physical body. His mindform wavered and became slightly transparent as he focused on controlling the necessary muscles to indicate to John that he was needed. "John, you're needed for this too." As he spoke the words aloud, they also reverberated through his mindscape, seeming to come from all angles.

At Elliott's gesture John made his way over to the couch. Elliott couldn't actually see John through the blue glow of his eyes, so instead he gestured for where John was to sit. It was a system they'd worked out a long time ago. John simply materialised in the landscape, still choosing the punk form as his form, although the outfit was different to the other times, including a white band t-shirt that was splattered with blood of some sort (not his own). "You've redecorated." John remarked as he looked around, his shoes scuffing in the dirt on the roof. "Updated actually. This" he held up a hand and the landscape flickered to the older version if the Attili skyline, the one that matched his childhood memories and the sketch in John's box room "wasn't accurate anymore. So I felt that changing was a good idea." The landscape changed back again and Elliott turned his attention back to Kay. "The process is relatively simple. I need you to take the memory of the dream and isolate it from all your other memories with some form of secure wall so when we leap over to your mind we don't get blasted by every memory you've ever had. It helps if you imagine the walls as real walls, not just metaphorical ones. Tell me whne you're done, then push the dream memories right to the front of your mind."

Kay sighed, "I know she will, but I wanna try and figure it out first before telling her stuff. I don't want to out more worry onto her prematurely." She explained to him before he focused on his physical body to get John involved. She waited for him to get John into the mindscape, and as she did she looked out at the view, finding it calming. She turned round when John appeared in his usual punk getup, though she did notice the different shirt and yet again she still found it attracting her, just like it always did.

She let John and Elliott do their little chat about the layout Elliott picked for it, waiting patiently. Looking back at Elliott when he spoke to her, she nodded, finding it was pretty much the same rules as before. She did as he told her to, focusing on the dream only she had last night, something that was a lot easier to do this time because it was so fresh in her mind. She thought up the walls around her other memories, making sure that Elliott wouldn't see anything he would not want to see, especially those of herself and John. "Okay, I'm ready" she told him, pushing the dream right to front of her mind.

Telling other people to block the memories they didn't want him to see was something that Elliott had learned on Attil. There was a time when he'd accidentally been shown somebody's entire life which overloaded his brain, mindscape and senses causing him to be blasted half-way across the room. There was also the matter of privacy. Some memories he knew others would be fine with him seeing, they wouldn't tell him anything he didn't know, but everybody had their secrets and in the early days where he was teaching John how to interact in the mindscape he had accidentally seen some pretty awful things.

When Kay said she was ready Elliott nodded, reaching out a hand to the forehead of her mindscape form, his fingers seeming to disappear into her forehead. The fingers of Elliott's physical body moved as well, something that always happened when he went into somebody else's memories. In one fluid motion the Attili landscape changed to that of Kay's dream, all three standing within it, his and John's form slightly transparent. "In theory we should be bale to understand the language as you can translate it unconsciously and right now we are in a way part of your unconscious mind." The two watched as the events of the dream unfolded.

Kay let Elliott do what he needed to access the dream memory of hers. She just hoped it did create answers, although she was doubtful. A feeling she didn't always get as she was the hopeful one out of the lot of them, or at least out of her and John. With the scenery changing, she saw the familiar foggy and blurry scene in front of her. Looking again, she realised it was like looking through a waterfall, not a rain storm as she previously thought. She looked at the slightly transparent form of Elliott when he spoke to her, saying he and John should be able translate whatever is said and nodded.

She then looked back forward and as before the silouetted figure walked up to her but was still far enough away that she could t make out any features. Only that wings were fully out and the figure was tall. If she had to guess she'd say around 6'2 in height, but the seeming fuzzy viewpoint did make things slightly distorted, so she couldn't be sure. "Daughter of Fira, you made it" the figure greeted her, but she could tell it wasn't necessarily her it was actually talking to, it was like watching a weird recording, though the figure was talking was in her native tongue, she could hear it in English this time. "What do you want?" Her dream self asked. "A warning is needed, you need to listen" the figure spoke.

General talking and stalling was made for a while, until the chat that resonated with her finally came up. "Darkness is coming" he warned. "What do you mean?" Dream Kay asked. "Exactly that, daughter of Fira" "you're not making sense" "you'll understand soon" "I wish to understand NOW" it was at this point dream Kay was getting agitated. "It's not time to know" "tell me!" "Just remember- with the dark, you just bring the light" dream Kay was obviously getting more frustrated, even from behind it was clear she was done with vague sentences. Her shoulders were tensed up and she had closed one hand into a tight fist. "Stop the clichés!" Kay said back, with a sharp tone.

"You and the young one MUST survive" came the next bit. "Young one?" Dream Kay asked even though she had a feeling she knew they were referring to Fia. "Your young one. She has the power of two to stop the darkness that will plague you" came the last audible bit. Dream Kay started asking questions, she didn't like the very last bit of that sentence. It was clear there was more to the conversion, but actual Kay couldn't quite make out what was being said. She found herself looking between John and Elliott before back at the dream.

As Elliott suspected the language translation did indeed work properly for them. After he started learning English and speaking the language with sufficient fluency they quickly discovered that whne he was showing his Attili memories John and Chas heard them in English. The first thing they both did was take a look at the scenery around them, as it was Kay's dream, they couldn't simply walk through the waterfall and see who was talking and they couldn't interfere with anything going on. Elliott could speed up, slow down, start and stop the dream memory, but that was as far as his his control went.

They watched as the dream played out, dream Kay getting more and more irritated by the vagueness of the warning while the other person remained annoyingly unflappable and refusing to give any more information. The words 'darkness is coming' were the first to strike a chord with John, it was a warning and a threat he'd heard before in reference to the rising darkness. Whether it had any link to the rising darkness he'd had to stop was another thing altogether. They watched as it continued in the typical vein of a prophetic warning, staying vague. John never understood why people did that. The pint of a warning was surely to inform and give sufficient knowledge that said catastrophic event could be stopped.

When the conversation finished, Elliott stopped the dream, freezing the dreamscape. "Well all I got from that was reminders of the rising darkness..... which I really hope isn't a thing again. That bit about light bringin' made me think of Luci, but I've heard nothin' from the Prince of Hell, so I'd say that's not the right interpretation. Though I do think for that bit about Fia havin' the power of two, I think its a reference to the whole mage/pheonix combination she's got goin' on."

It was highly tempting as the dream went on to go through said waterfall and find out who it was talking to her but she decided against it as she wanted to reheat what was said to make sure she remembered everything correctly, and much to her dismay she did. She didn't want to be right on this, she didnt want to be correct in her translation this time round as it just put more dread in her mind. With it stopped, she turned and looked at John as he spoke his opinions and thoughts on what was said.

For some reason, what he first was thinking didn't seem right to her but she couldn't put her finger on why it didn't feel right to her. She did however agree with him about Fia. "That's what I think also when it comes to the bit about Fia. That's it's talking about her duel blood heritage. But the rest? I got no clue...but it's clearly talking about something that's after me specifically" she replied, then it hit her, "could it be meaning about how Hell wanting me? It's the only thing I can think of. It did say about a darkness plaguing me specifically...not anyone I care about" she added, trying to clarify on her theory. She hoped she was wrong but she didn't know what other way to possibly take it.

Elliott listened intently to the dream translation, but it struck no chord with him. The only thing he did pick up on was the dual heritage of Fia, but John got there first in saying something. So he put his focus on the landscape, walking the boundaries of the dream memory. The edges of the dream faded into a blackness that he couldn't pass through (nothing unusual there) and the same happened when he tried to pass through the waterfall to get a better look at the figure behind it. Stretching his hand out Elliott's palm hit straight against an invisible barrier meaning there was no way to pass through and get a better look at the speaker. "I got nothing, and the dreamscape boundaries mean we can't pass through the waterfall and get a better look at the speaker." "Dammit."

At Kay's next remark John shrugged. It made sense unfortunately and given what they knew it couldn't be discounted as a possibility. "It could be, or at the very least it can't be discounted. That was after all one of the first things your other half said when we found about Fia even goin' as far as too stress that fact multiple times. And in my experience of prophetic predictions if it's about harm coming to somebody else or some group, that's usually mentioned. So it's you an' Fia at the centre of whatever this is."

Kay was aware of Elliott walking round the dreamscape and trying to see if he could get a better look at the speaker, only to find he couldn't and John seemingly annoyed at that fact. She then looked at John when he replied with his opinion on her theory, making sure to listen properly and nodding in agreement. She remembered being able to hear everything that Fee told him when Fee took control. Whatever it was, there was no way it was a good thing and that scared Kay greatly.

"Just what I was dreading. This affecting me is no surprise to me whatsoever...I'm sadly used to it after all these years, but bringing Fia into it scares the living shit out of me. If anything happens to her...." she admitted, trailing off unable to finish that sentence. As she spoke she found herself having paced around the area, and as she finished she found herself staring at the silouetted figure through the waterfall once more. She didn't care if she couldn't pass through the waterfall, she held her hand out nonetheless toward it. What she wasn't expecting was the figure to raise its own hand like it was a mirror. "What the...?" She breathed. She became more curious, stretching her hand out closer to the figure when she got a flash of an image course through her head, making her double over, holding her head. "You have been warned! What has been written cannot be unwritten!" The figure told her.

John and Elliott watched as Kay paced. They simultaneously could and couldn't imagine what was going through her head. John knew from experience all about not wanting to drag your kid into the mess that was your life, but also knew that if said kid intended to be involved, then they would stop at nothing. Elliott had proved that by going back to Attil. Elliott on the other hand knew the fear of something happening to his kid. As complex, hostile and abrasive (and sometimes downright rude) as Rinaa was, they'd all seen her on the ground, convulsing, in the throws of death and it had shaken him. Being told she was terminal wasn't the same as seeing it in real life. "Yeah, I know"
was all John could say, unsure of how to verbalise exactly what he was thinking. "Nobody wnat to see their kid get hurt, I get it."

Elliott's eyes widened at the sight of the figure behind the waterfall moving. "That's not possible, it shouldn't be able to do that." He said quietly, voicing his thoughts aloud, his tone full of disbeleife and awe. He couldn't manipulate Kay's memories to that extent and neither could John. It was only supposed to be showing what Kat had seen the last night. So something else was happening. And Kay was causing it. When the flash of image coursed through Kay's head, it also passed into Elliott, sending a flash of mental energy through his brain, causing his mindscape form to fly backwards across the mindscape as if he'd been blasted in the stomach. His physical form jerked backwards slightly, his fingers clenching, digging his nails into himself in an effort to alleviate the pain.

Still lying on the floor of the dreamscape he groaned, rubbing his left temple. "That shouldn't have happened. Its never happened before, ever. Either you aren't telling us something about the dream that allows this happen or you're able to control it, which shouldn't be possible. You can't control memories of dreams only direct memories."

Kay nodded, knowing that they could get what was going through her mind. She also wasn't forgetting the very fact that Fia wasn't just her kid...she was John's too. So whatever she could be feeling about the idea of Fia getting hurt, she could only imagine must be something that went through his head as well.

When the dream reacted to her, she had no idea how it was happening. She was just as shocked as Elliott was and the image coursing through her scared the bloody daylights out of her. She didn't remember dreaming anything else other than the conversation. She found her hands shaking as she listened to Elliott. "Believe me, I don't know how that happened. I don't recall dreaming anything other than the conversation Ell...I swear to you I don't." She told him, her tone expressing her truth. "If I dreamed this, I don't remember it" she said again, shaking like a leaf. She looked back at the figure and it was like it never moved.

John had never seen Elliott react like this before, he'd seen the averse reaction, when he'd forced somebody out of his mind with so much force that their physical body was blasted across the room. He'd also seen it when a sensitive memory was touched and the unconscious mind automatically went to protect itself. John eyes had automatically followed Elliott as he was blasted backwards, so he offered a hand to Elliott, pulling him up off the ground, his back was to Kay so he couldn't see just how shaken up she was at that exact moment. Elliott did see it however, now that the sharp physical shock had faded away.

He could feel the truth in her words. "I believe you, and theres no peramenent damage done.... just wasn't expecting that to happen." Once Elliott had assured John that he was okay John turned to Kay to see that she was clearly not okay. She was shaking and looked like she was about to fall over which meant her physical body would be particularly weak when they came out of the MindWalk. He put an arm around her, his hand squeezing her shoulder, trying to convey some small bit of comfort. "Any idea what that was?" "Well it reminded me of when a sensitive memory is touched and the unconscious generates a shutdown.... lockout response. Totally unconscious way of stopping somebody from seeing an image that you don't want them too."

Kay felt awful that she created such a sharp pain for Elliott, she never wanted to bring any kind of harm to him. She just found herself wanting to hover her hand in front of the waterfall, she thought it was a case of wanting to make sense of it all, but it had an adverse affect on Elliott and it made her feel just so bloody guilty. She didn't even fully acknowledge that John helped Elliott up first, she was trying to come to terms with the image of Fia dead ontop of a car in her mind. She was glad that he believed her when she said she didn't recall this happening, yet she couldn't figure out why there was that draw to reach out.

She looked up when John wrapped his arm round her, trying to comfort her. She naturally leaned into his grip, still shaking. She let John ask Elliott what it was, and she listened, even if her mind was everywhere and nowhere all at once. "You think...I accidentally triggered that? Because I can get why my mind would have blocked up what I saw" she replied. She then looked up at John, "I saw Fia dead ontop of a car..." She clarified for his sake, finding it very well would explain to him why she's totally not okay. She knew she had to tell Fia about her dream but there was no way she was going to tell Fia that last bit, she couldn't bring herself to, she just wanted to protect her child.

Elliott nodded, his expression grave, but there was concern in his eyes, he could see that Kay was shaken up over something, no doubt whatever it was she'd seen. "It's the only thing that makes sense. John can't control the dreams, and the figure... doppelganger.... whatever it was.... specifically reacted to you. Unless there's another presence in my mind doing this, then it leaves you the only posisble suspect. I'd know if there was somebody else in my mind.... unless they were somehow contained in the memory...." he waved a hand trying to think of a suitable metaphor to convey what he meant. "like a computer virus in an email, but that leads to so many more questions, nine of which I have anything approaching answers for."

Elliott looked at John, to see if he had any input, but John could only shrug. "Sorry Ell, I got nothing. This MindWalkin'-dreamscape stuff is very much your division." He turned to look at Kay when she said she had a theory as to why her mind would react so violently to what she was shown. "What did you see?" John asked his tone filled with part concern and part curiosity, already knowing that whatever it was had affected Kay straight to her core. There was a sharp intake of breath from both of them at Kay's reply. It wasn't what they were expecting and it was truly horrific, and it didn't help that John had seen bodies on cars before. And imagining his their daughter like that was even worse. He closed his eyes briefly at the thought as Elliott shook his head slightly. "That'd trigger it alright." "Geez, that can only be a warning of some sort."

Kay listened to what Elliott was saying, and she was just about understanding it. Not because it was confusing, but because her brain was trying to compute the words coming out his mouth whilst trying to get over what she saw. She nodded at his words, and she still couldn't understand fully why it was reacting specifically to her when the dream was stopped or paused, or whatever Elliott did. She wondered if it was possibly a version of Fee or an ancestor somehow. Either way, they knew who she was the daughter of, and she was pretty much the last phoenix in existence, so there could only be one of three options, it was Fee, an ancestor or a version of herself her kind concocted up.

Telling John and Elliott what she saw wasn't something she wanted to do particularly but she couldn't hold it to herself. She brought John into her dream so she didn't do this alone so to speak and he knew everything straight up with his own eyes and ears. She had absolutely no secrets from, not anymore, and she didn't want to start keeping things from him again. Seeing both their reactions didn't help ease her emotional pain at what she saw. She nodded at both Elliott's and John's words. "It felt like one...." She confirmed. "Like...her life would be on the line if something doesn't happen....I don't know what or if I'm even right but that's the feeling I felt as it courses through my mind." She explained, trying so hard not to cry and remain strong, but her shaking hands and breaking tone of voice was just giving her away. "Ell I want out... I don't wanna see that figure anymore" She finally said, gripping onto John tightly.

Both John and Elliott knew that saying what she saw couldn't be easy, and adding intense hormones to the matter couldn't be helping things either. As Kay spoke outlining her theory (or more accurately thinking out loud while desperately trying to hold it together) both John and Elliott listened trying to make sense of it all. John's words had come out unbidden. Usually when he was trying to figure things out, he wouldn't say a word to anybody, but in the MindWalk it was different, nobody outside it could know what was going on and it was on eof the few paces John properly dropped the guard on his thoughts. If it was a warning there had better be a damn good reason for what was going to happen and more precisely why it had to happen.

Elliot nodded at Kay's plea to get out. He couldn't blame her, he'd be doing the same thing if he was in her shoes. The scenery flickered back to the Attili skyscape as they left Kay's memory. He didn't go straight back to the real world knowing that if he did, Kay's emotional state would carry over and Fia was bound to know something and beat it out of them. "I'm not going to go back to the physical world yet, it's been a nasty trip and settling our minds without all the others watching and wondering seems like a good call." "Ta Ell." John rubbed Kay's shoulder in what he hoped was some kind of reassuring way whole his brain ran at a mile a minute trying to make sense of everything. Elliott walked a bit away from them, standing on the edge of the ledge and staring out over the skyline, waiting about five minutes, glancing over to see how Kay was holding up every so often. He then turned to afce them, and apologetic look on his face. "I hate to be the one who brings this up but it has to be said how much is Fia being told? She knows something is being concealed and with this new bit of evidence there's more at stake than we knew."
