Kay looked towards the blue haired woman when she interrupted Elliott's explanation. She listened to the reasoning behind the day and she just nodded, "uh huh" was all she could say in response.

She wasn't sure how to take the 'new fish' comment but she let it slide, especially when Saoirse spoke up saying she wasn't. She tried to work out how to take the remark but she decided to take it positively rather than negatively. When she added that Elliott was watched over due to him also doing stupid shit at times she couldn't help but smirk. That did not surprise her at all. He and John did seem to be two peas in a pod at times.

John laughed at the idea of Elliott doing stupid shit. Elliott threw a fork at him "You really can't laugh at this John, we're in the same raft here." which John dodged nimbly. The other three just looked on in amusement, enjoying the spectacle. "this is good comedy, remond me why we didn't yhink of getting John involved earlier?" "beavuse he doesn't do teams and I said at one point that I wouldn't trust him to walk five metres down a road without getting into a scrap or pissing somebody off."

"So what's his story?" John gestured at the vampire. "he's clearly vampire, but he isn't a regular one. Undoubtedly daylighter, but what about that healing factor? It isn't normal for a vampire at all."

Kay put her head in her hand and shook her head at the two of them. She was however chuckling and smiling as she did so.

When the whole comedic moment passed, she turned to Saito on the table as John asked about him. She was surprised when John said the whole healing thing was a rare thing. Her younger self always thought it was common. She felt glad she didn't express her thoughts out loud, for she knew she'd sound like a right idiot.

She looked back at the group awaiting an answer.

The group looked at each other, then at A.J. and then back to each other. It was again evident that none of them wanted to be the ones to say it. Eventually Elliott spoke up. "Saito is a second generation vampire." John turned his head sideways, screwing up his face slightly, the meaning of the look he gave Elliott couldn't be any clearer- explain this at once.

"Not all pure-blood vampires are sterile. It is a very occurrence, the odds are something like 1 in 5 million or so. But it is possible. Sai's parents were both fertile. The name given to his 'kind' " Elliott made an airquotes gesture around the word 'kind' "Is Demji" John's eyes widened. "You're seriously saying that he is......" The sentence trailed off as Elliott nodded. "He is"

"Hells" John ran his hand through his hair and walked over to take a closer look at Saito. "So what makes him so different from every other vampire? Is it all because of his birth? And if he has a healing factor, why is he seriously scarred on his back?"

Kay listened trying to comprehend everything that was being explained. She really realised that there was still so much she didn't know about this world. She was so wrapped up in her own history that she didn't think there could be such things as rare forms of vampire.

Judging by the look on John's face, she figured he didn't think so either or believe the stories if he heard any. She knew she'd pay more attention from now on about everything in this world and not just hers. He also made a good point about Saito's scars. Kay thought this vampire was a living contradiction.

It was on the mention of the scars that A.J. took over. "Sai....." he started, then stopped, ran both his hands upwards through his hair and fell silent again. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to say. "Sai was taken from his family at four years old. His parents were killed and he was basically sold to the highest bidder. Which just so happened to be these incredibly douchy and extremely evil scientists"

John put his head in his hands. "Oh geez, they didn't..." "They did" "These scientists basically used him as a lab rat. He was tortured and beaten and experimented on. They were trying to make him faster, stronger and better. The use these etchniques to enhance normal humans. Well the experiments worked all right, he gained a healing factor and some other additions. But in order for the healing factor to work he has to pushed to the brink of death." There was fury visible in the eyes of the four, as well as in John's eyes. But the person most affected by this was A.J., he looked like he wanted to murder everybody who had ever hurt Saito.

Kay looked at AJ when he explained Saito's history. Glancing over at Saito her heart actually broke a little bit for him. Listening to the rest of what AJ was saying she felt so sorry for him.

She couldn't imagine being in that situation and enduring all that. The very idea that he could oy heal near death struck a chord with her however. "similar to myself... I'd only heal or survive a death situation if I die...this poor guy" she thought to herself. She still didn't know just how much these newer people knew about her, so she refused to speak up about anything.

Looking at AJ it was evident to her that this Saito meant a great deal to him. She would even go as far to wonder if he felt romantically towards Saito. Of course, she figured she could have been way off but it was a thought she had.

John spoke up next "so what's ye're next move?" This was addressed at the four of them, but it was the blue headed woman who spoke up in answer. It was clear that she was a leader of sorts "we find out exactly what went down there. We can glean a little from the nearby cameras before they fried and re-analysing the comm recordings, but until Sai wakes up we really don't know anything."

" 'Lott you've got some explaining to do, clearly, you want back-up or will you go it alone?"
There was an unspoken half to her question you want me to be there and explain along with your? Elliott was seriously considering it too. "Or you could just do option B, which would solve this whole mess out, but also make things more complicated" Saoirse chimed in. "We're not doing that! It's last resort protocall only. Remeber what happened last time?"

John crossed him arms and watched the drama going on between them. "How about this? The two of us" A gesture at himself and Kay "go somewhere else, and when you guys have a decison made, you come find us?"

Kay looked between everyone when words were exchanged. She would be lying if she said she wasn't starting to zone out at this point. Apart from all the information she found out, she was beginning to think there was no use for her there.

It was only when John spoke up and suggested he and her leave for the time being that she mentally snapped back into the room. "I'm fine with that suggestion. I mean, it's not like we can be much more help down here and I could do with some air", she chimed in. She added the convincing lie at the end to solidify a reason for her and John to leave the area.

"Take the second door on the right, it'll lead you out to the backm don't try go anywhere else, we got cameras, we'l know if you go snoopin'" The blue haired woman told them. "What, you don't trust me?" "No, I really don't" "Right choice whatever your name is" John replied before waltzing in the direction she had gestured in. He quite literally sauntered out of the room, not even looking to see if Kay was following.

Outside he leaned against the wall, placing one foot against the wall. It was only then that Kay would realise he had been barefoot since they left the apartment, as had Elliott. Fumbling in a his pocket, he pulled out a cigarette and lighter. He cupped his hands around the flame and lit the cigarette. He took a huge drag of it before speaking. "Well, what do you think of all those shenanigans?"

Kay took note of the instructions and she couldn't help but smile ever so slightly when John asked if he was trusted. She followed him out. She was used to John and even Elliott at times not even looking back to see if she was following behind. It was their thing and she accepted it.

Once outside she then indeed did notice he was barefoot then it all came back to her that they didn't exactly have time to properly sort themselves out. Luckily for her, she had pull on sneakers and it was second nature to her to always be quick to get shoes on if something came for her when she was sleeping.

"I think it's hectic as fuck. The blue haired woman sure has a stick up her arse though." She truthfully said. She didn't even get a thanks for helping AJ save Saito's life. "I mean, I get why theyre suspicious and all but if they'd been watching us as much as they declare you'd think they'd be a bit... I dunno.. more willing to talk to us?" She continued.

"I bet you twenty quid she's not human. There is something off about her" John answered, taking a deep drag of the cigarette. There was something about her that didn't sit right with him, but he couldn't but his finger on it. It was there niggling at the back of his brain, just out of reach.

"I can understand them being hectic, they genuinly seemed to think that Saito could die on them. The Irish lad definetly has a thing for him." He continued, blowing out the smoke. "If they've ben watching me, then they know that getting involved with me is a dangerous and stupid thing. They don't know how much we alreafy know and they definitely don't know if they can trust us. But they clearly have secrets"

She smirked at his bet. "Oh I'm not getting you because i agree with you. There's definitely something off about her." She replied. She leaned against the wall next to him.

"You got that give off of AJ too huh?" She smiled. She was glad she wasn't the only one that noticed that. She listened to the rest of what he had to say and she couldn't help but chuckle. "Then I guess I'd that's the case, consider me stupid." She began, "but on a serious note, I agree. They're for sure hiding stuff" she concluded. "but we can say we're doing the same thing. We're hardly sharing with them what I am" she pointed out to him.

"Damn, I was hoping I'd get some money that way" but he clearly wasn't serious about it. "Please, it's totally obvious, he was willing to fry the rest of us so that the vampire could live. Whether it goes both ways or not is another thing. Want to bet on that?"

"True, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Looking at their base, they've been running it for a while now. The gear is high tech too, there was a top of the line 3D printer in there. So they clearly have money from somewhere, and probably not just the restraunt."

Kay laughed. "Oh you're on. I bet it goes both ways personally. I was up close when he awoke. I got a sense for these things" she said confidently. "£20 I'm right" she said, holding out her hand. He may not have been initially serious but she was.

"Mmhmm... A girl could envy that kind of tech that they had" she remarked casually. Most people would envy that money they clearly had but not Kay.

(Over the weekend I'll be. Bit slower replying as tomorrow it's my mates wedding so won't be accessing my phone too much). Just to give a heads up)

"30 quid they've been together for almost a year, with a whole heap of mutual pining and embarassing staring for years beforehand" John added, clasping her hand and shaking it firmly in his. The palms and parts of his finger tios were calloused and rough.

"But at the end of the day its nit the tech, its the people. You can ahve all the tech in the world, but if they aren't a tight team, then what's the point?"

(Okay, enjoy the wedding! I've only been to one, and it was in a foreign country where I didn't understand the language)

She shook on the deal of £30. She didnt care that his hands were tough and calloused. If they were baby smooth she would have been shocked. She actually enjoyed having her hand in his. Before it came across as too long a hold, she let go and out her hands back in his hoodie pocket.

She nodded, he had a point. It wasn't about the tech. If she was so inclined though, she would still jealous of it. "Something tells me they are a tight team. The way they looked at each other to decide who would talk tells me how tight they are." She explained.

"I'd agree on that, they clearly act together, which is both a good and a bad thing. But there seemed to be some missing. Judging by the suits on the wall at least, I'd say two." Seven seemed a more likely number than fourteen.

"And they seem to be powered, not all of them, but I'd hazard a guess that the majoriy of them have abilities. The Irish boy is an electro kinetic at the very minmum, but chances are he manipulate more than just electricity. The blue headed woman is a healer. Saito is a vampire and Elliott is a mage. Not sure about the Irish girl though. Any ideas?"

(Last post)

"mmhmm, I noticed the other photographs of people too." Kay began replying. It was one reason why she earlier zoned out a little when they were talking. She was observing her surroundings.

She began thinking on what John was saying about them being powered. It certainly made sense how AJ could handle what he did particularly. When it came to AJ's sister though, Kay didn't have a clue. She tried thinking back to everything that went down in the room but nothing was coming to her.

"I got nothing. She could be similar to AJ considering their twins, or to the other end of the spectrum she could have no powers at all. She's hard to make out on that subject." Kay openly said.

"That's the thing about twins. You can never really tell just by observing. There is just so many options. Sometimes they born equal, but that's extremly rare, so they could in theory have identical powers. One will always be better than in some way or another. Sometimes they are born opposites one good, the other bad." like me Kay wouldn't know of course, but John was actually a twin. There was something weird in his tone as he spoke about twins, it was more personal than he'd care to admit.

"But I don't think healing is blue hair's primary power. You saw Elliott's eyes, what colour were they?"

Kay caught the weird tone in John's voice but she she didn't wanna press on that. When he said about one sometimes being born good and the other bad, she felt that not that long ago, she'd argue him on that. That surely no one could be born bad. But now? It was a totally different thing. She put a comforting hand on his arm though to let him know she'd be willing to listen if it ever came to it. She wanted him to know she heard that time in his voice and she'd still be there no matter what.

She thought back when he asked her about the colour of Elliott's eyes. "Hmm... They were purple" she said, remembering it clearly.

"Exactly. Elliott's kind are powered. It's a complicated story how they get their powers." He gestured with the cigarette, whisps of smoke trailing around. "His eyes change the colour depending on what he's doing. Blue is for magic, as you've no doubt figured out by now it also his mindwalking colour. Purple is for when he uses his amplification powers, he can amplify the powers of others."

"Then indigo for when he uses both abilities at once. But if you ever see them turn orange- run"
he finished.

Kay as per usual listened intently. She nodded when he said about when Elliott's eyes turn blue. She had indeed figured that out from all the training they did. She didn't know how but it made sense to her the colour changes. She just put it down to having spent so much time in close proximity to the two of them.

"Okay, orange bad. Got it" she concluded the information from John. If it meant even she would have to run, then it had to be a bad sign if Elliott's eyes turned orange. It was then the random thought of her not being chased or tracked down in a while popped into her head. It had a long while since she went this long without anything on her back. It was a random thought and she didn't know why it fully came into her mind, but she just shook it off. Because if she didn't, it would only make her start thinking something was on the horizon.

"Seriously, if his eyes go orange, you turn, you run and you don't look back no matter what." John felt the need to emphasise this again. He'd only seen the orange eyes once, and he never wanted to see it again. Coming from John, that was a big deal.

"I wonder what's taking them so long" John mused, casting a wary eyes towards the door they had come out of

She nodded and looked him in the eye. "I got it and I will. I promise" she told him. Her tone telling him she was taking what he said seriously.

She looked towards the door aswell. Now that John had mentioned it, they have been taking a long time. "Mm..they have been a while" she agreed. "I'm sure everything is fine..." She added. She wasn't sure if it was convincing or not but she had tho think of how skilled they were and what they had at their disposal. So they had to be fine down there.
