Fantasy [INTEREST CHECK] A Game of Sins

Yes that's what I was leaning toward, had been leaning toward regardless.

The story is that the King and Queen have been so for many millenium, so if you'd rather be just a Sin or you'd rather be the Queen Sin, the spot is still open. Beowulf is probably writing his character(s) profile, so if you want, after he posts his, and he's not asking for the Queen's spot I'll let you have it. As for her character flaw, correct me if I'm wrong but you said she lusted for power or something like that. Maybe that trait causes her to take senseless risks and such? Could end badly for her.

Just updated my bio for queenship. Though, what happens to us after we lose? Are we going to be defeated by other rpers or?

We should be defeated by the other RPer's whoever is stronger, but then after our characters die, they'll be resurrected to fight in the next games. These Sins don't die like you or I do, they die and then are resurrected and not allowed to play in the games until the next one. It's sort of a vicious punishment for whatever they did in their past to become like this. Think of the Vikings and Valhalla, they feast and then go out and fight, some die and are resurrected again to participate in the next one.

Accepted, well done.

Accepted, only thing I have a slight problem with is the amount of Anubians he can raise. Lower it to 1-2 just to be fair. Otherwise, sounds like a great character, welcome.
The problem I have, aside from not understanding his bio, is whether Hell even have sand or animals such as snakes or birds. We are fighting in Hell right? Maybe we have Hellsand, and hellanimals. xD

@Finn No, the tournament takes place in our world, so our Sins could be fighting in Paris or London and destroy the arch or the parliament and so on. I wanted it to be destruction galore and the like.

Really? There are humans? Seems pretty chaotic that way, who created this system that jeopardized all the life of humans just to punish us? Doesn't seem like it's only our punishment.

Well, they are demons/monsters, killing a human or two on accident isn't really a problem for them. But that was an arch that I was planning on implementing at a later date once the game starts. They'll come to find out that they're all pawns in these Games, they can never redeem themselves or find a way out.......that they know of.

I assume humans and demons coexist then? It's just seems weird if this is a divine punishment as it's hard to believe they would allow Sins to wreak havoc in the human world otherwise. Not to mention some of us are uuuuggggly.

Hahaha, it's not a divine punishment. The idea that I had was they were forced into this by evil, whether it be by offering their soul to an unknown more powerful demon masquerading as a God, or someone cursed them, or something like that. Demons coexist in the Human worlds as Demon coexist in our real world. They are legends, myths, and stories to some people, and then you've got people on the other hand that saw they've seen them before, and believe that they're real. These Sins are not true demons, as they've been twisted by some kind of dark magic or mistake that has made them into these things. That is why I wanted them to have human origins and not be elves or dwarves or whatever. And I wanted them to work it somehow into the story of why they were forced into this game if they decided they wanted to be demon. I believe I made a mistake in calling them demons instead of monsters, as a central part of the plot is remembering the human your character once was and going through the whole acceptance phase, and when and if they lost they were doomed to repeat it and learn it all over again. It's a pretty much a big middle finger to the characters, laughing at them for being so foolish and trusting dark magic or whatever. If you've ever seen Fate/Stay Night or Fate/Zero, then that's kind of the idea that I had for it, except without the Masters. Whatever damage the Sins cause or whoever they kill are considered freak accidents. The masses refuse to believe in such "fairy tales" and shun those that try and reveal what is really going on.

This is very much like a Hellspawn from the Spawn comic series. Spawn, the central character, sold his soul to the "devil" in order to see his wife again. There, he is sent back to the moral world without much of his memory and is meant to kill and wreak havoc in order to build up the Hell army, but instead he goes against his initial assignment as he learns and remembers about his true self and goals.

I've never read the Spawn comics, I have heard of him but I can't say that I know much about it.

Haha, well both story is quite similar in that aspect, and in fact makes me look forward to this RP even more. =) How do we go about the human world when we're not fighting? Just wandering dark alleys?(Which is what Spawn also did)

Well, that's another reason I wanted them to be once human. They could take off their armor and wear normal clothing until they needed their stuff to fight. Like I said before, I wish I would've been more clear about them being human at one point before they became like this, it would make answering these types of questions much easier, hahaha. I guess those who aren't humanoid are going to have to hide, and we could even go as far as to say they're invisible to the human eye. I tried to give both my characters a human past, and you did as well, so I assume your character can look somewhat human as well.

She does look humans, I can probably just make it that her horns don't have to appear, since I have control over my appearance somewhat.

That's good enough for me, it's totally possible in a world like this one. I appreciate you keeping to my ideas too, helps me out a lot.

Good, now I just need 3 more people, and we can start. I wouldn't mind more female characters either, hahaha.

Regarding telepathy (since my character have it), it is somewhat of Godmodding, but only if you think aloud stuff like "I'm going to run left" during the fight which normally people don't as they'll just do it. What I hear is the actual thoughts as when someone talks to themselves in their head, but instead of themselves it would be me.

If it's not used during a fight, then it's not godmodding. Just hearing someone's thoughts in dialogue won't necessarily give your character an advantage over another.

I'll use it during a fight, but more to drive them insane or try to control them which would be mentally fatiguing to both parties. Again, if they specifically make their demon simple-minded and think stuff like "I will swing left", then that's on them.
