Lily took Ophelia's offering. A ball attached to the end of a wooden fork. She eyed it suspiciously, examining the texture with its colourful sauce and herbs. She then, out of fearless curiousity, shoved the whole thing into her mouth and immediately melted.
"Mm!"
Takoyaki tasted better than she thought. Lily didn't know what she was expecting. Maybe an unnatural rubbery bite once she got to the octopus, the suction on the tentacles.
But she hummed and nodded enthusiastically in approval. "This is good!" she said with half a mouthful.
Lily still had one more corn on the cob, though now full she held it purposelessly in her hands. She could give it away to someone on the bus-- someone else must've forgotten their coins like she did and had to starve.
When they arrived in the bus, the two sat in their original seats. A few of the students were already there and her smiles were returned in kind. The bus driver however was absent.
People were slowly filtering in and Lily could've sworn she heard cats entering with them. She glanced to the back rows where Pandorans congregated.
"Do you hear that?" she asked Ophelia, adjusting the wooden bangle around her wrist.
