Okay, so one thing Bennett learned after his little spar with Quinn was that falling to the ground hurt and hurt especially so when you were falling at 2x speed. The bolas which wrapped around his legs caused him to fall forwards. He used his arms to break his fall but scrapped them badly against the dirt ground.
"Oof," was all he said as he struggled to kick the weapon from his legs. Sitting up, he made quick work to de-tangle them but by the time he was free, he was already at sword point by Quinn's blade. It was his loss this time and he took it as a great learning experience.
Getting back on his feet, he helped Jack up as well. Turning to Quinn, he bowed 90 degrees suddenly and thanked her in a clear and earnest voice for sparring with him and Jack. It was from that moment on, Bennett developed a newfound respect for the Syndicate prefect. He walked off, holding back the look of frustration until his back was turned and he was a good distance away from Quinn.
He should've known he couldn't match up to a senior but losing was still frustrating. It was even more so when there were two losses in the row, both which left Bennett nursing physical wounds and his pride, but never his unyielding will to become the greatest Magister.
