Fantasy Insane Asylum

Tetro said:
(Not to complain or insult anyone. But that is just fucking stupid for everyone to get MORE powers..... But eh, whatever.)

(Coolio with me I guess)
What I mean is the power has to be similar to the one you have. Who knows people could have other powers without even knowing so. But it has to be similar to the capabilities. Like Raven is able to read minds and now she can levitate objects using her mind. Kinda see what I mean?

Donovan slowly removed his hands and showed Alice. His eyes looked like they were straining horribly. Donovan's eyes bleeding badly at the moment, he looked at Alice. He seemed like he couldn't really see her all that well. He made small noises occasionally, as if ready to scream in agony. Donovan held it all in though, not wanting to alarm anyone in the Asylum.

(Oh okay then, totally cool)

Alice grit her teeth in frustration. She was worried, though she would never openly say so. She knew the feeling of pain that Donavon often felt. You could say that it was a shared pain.

You idiot. I. Told. You. So.

With a wave of her hand, she slapped Donavon across the face, hard enough that her hand stung. It wouldn't matter, since she too would soon feel the pain. Conjuring up a bubble, she rest her hands over his eyes, and shut her own eyes. This bubble was special. It was purple, and in the darkness, it glowed. Alice bit down on her lip, they were linked. She could feel everything he felt, while he felt less and less. When she finished, her breathing was heavy, and tears were running down the sides of her face. In fact, she bit down on her lip so hard to prevent from screaming that she drew blood. A few drops dripped onto the floor, as Alice laid on the cold tiles of floor, trying to catch her breath.

I swear Donavon, I'm going to kill you.

She laughed to herself, when she had applied the bubble over his eyes, she felt how hard she had slapped him. She was pretty strong if she did say so herself.

Donovan grabbed onto her throat and slowly sat up, his grip really tight. "Watch yourself...." He shoved her back aggressively.

Donovan stood and left her cell, locking the door behind him. He wondered around the Asylum alone, keeping an eye on everyone. Donovan never liked how ungrateful most of them were for what he did. He didn't expect anything in return, but he didn't want punishment either.

Alice smirked as Donovan left. He was always so serious about everything. Instead of worrying but everyone--everything, he should just sit back and relax. After all, no one was really ever grateful. They just took, and took, until you had nothing left. Sometimes, life really was like chess. Your sacrifice didn't really matter. Sometimes it did, but many, it didn't.

Hey, a 'Thank You' wouldn't hurt.

Alice groaned, holding onto her neck. His grip was really tight, and it had left abrasion marks. It stung. Glaring at the wall, she sent him another message.

Dumbass, you almost hurt this pretty face. Oh and just FYI, I DON'T APPRECIATE BEING MANHANDLED.

Standing up, she tried to call back her bubble dragon, but it had disappeared. She hadn't enough energy nor power left to sustain something as simple as a bubble dragon. Healing another takes a toll, and it wasn't one Alice liked paying. Being locked in a cell for long periods of time, she never really got the chance to grow stronger, and sharpen her skills. She threw a punch at the wall, quickly regretting it. Wincing, she sat down. That sure hurt like hell. Licking off the blood from her knuckles, she leaned back, resting her head against the wall. Maybe next time, she should just let him be in agony. Just for the hell of it.

Donovan stopped and connected his mind to hers. "I appreciate what you did. But you know that when I use my powers I get hurt. IF YOU HIT ME FOR USING THEM ONE MORE TIME YOU WILL REGRET IT!" Donovan's telepathic surge was so strong it almost actually threw Alice back. Donovan WAS relaxed about things, he just didn't like being hit. Donovan sighed, remembering how ignorant and immature everyone was in the Asylum. He continued pacing around, thinking and waiting. Donovan thought about letting Alice feel all the pain she would have felt if he had not protected her all those times. He knew it would traumatize her and make her even more cold and immature, so he decided to just wait to see what he would do.

Donovan never understood why the young ones got so upset whenever powers would be used. They acted almost as bad as the guards themselves. But Donovan didn't want to hurt everyone by telling them that. He knew that they had all felt so much pity for themselves, that even if they did escape they would suffer in the real world. Donovan had seen it many times. The inmate escapes, and feels like they are the center of the world simply because they have it "tough" and are persecuted, even when none of that would have really been true with most of them. Donovan thought about how HE would react if he were to escape. Would he act similar? Would he be different? Would he feel paranoid? He sighed as his head began to hurt from processing all this information. Donovan sat down and relaxed, closing his eyes and resting.

Alice still felt the ringing in her ears from the telepathic lecture Donovan gave her. She clutched her head, she hated the ringing. She absolutely hated it. "I'm sure I will, Donavon," Alice murmured aloud, using the most sarcastic tone of voice she possibly could. She knew Donavon did what he did to protect everyone, but that was the thing. Alice didn't need protecting. She could take care of herself. Maybe that was just the immature side of her speaking, claiming that she was mature, but Alice didn't care anymore. The ringing was enough to focus on. She laid on her side, covering her ears with her hands.

Alice fell asleep, tear stains evident on the side of her cheeks. She was cold, tired, and confused, so she thought it best to just sleep it away. She started to dream. It started out nicely. It was the setting of a picnic... One of the constant images of her family that Donavon used to send her. They were all sitting on a red and white mat, with a picnic basket in the very middle. They were all laughing and smiling, even Alice. The little Alice in her yellow sundress, running around the field chasing butterflies.

"Alice, don't go to that tree, do you hear me? Alice? Alice, please!" She heard her mother call, but Alice couldn't turn back. For some reason, she had to walk to that tree. There was just--something about it, something important. Alice knew she just had to touch it, and as she grew closer to the tree, she heard her mother's calling drift further and further. Alice finally touched the tree, and for a second, a was the most pleasant feeling in the world. That's when everything went wrong. Like a glass, everything just shattered. It all went black. Alice woke up screaming, sweating through her clothes.

Donovan had left his spot and rushed to Alice's cell while she dreamed. He was holding Alice when she woke up, knowing how bad it was to wake up from a nightmare alone. Donovan had a feeling she was going to be hostile in some way but he did not care. He couldn't let her suffer alone, and he knew if he did then he would be just like another guard of the Asylum. Donovan was soothing her with a small lullaby he was humming. (If you want to know the song he is humming. I can message you the link. That goes for anyone)

Alice was still screaming when Donovan had rushed to her side. She had been flailing her arms and legs around, still not back in reality. Having hit Donovan by accident several times during her little 'tantrum', she finally calmed down a little when she heard the melody he was humming. She wasn't sending her arms and legs in every direction anymore, sure, but her tears had started to flow. She sobbed softly, trying not to whimper. Family, was the only untouchable subject for Alice. Completely and absolutely untouchable.

She laughed softly while sobbing, "I make fun of Marcus all the time for crying like a little baby. Now look at me."

Alice brought her hands up to her eyes are started to wipe at her tears, yet there seemed to be a never ending stream. Giving up, she set her hands down, and leaned against Donovan's chest, sniffling. She really hating showing any sign of weakness, but she didn't want to be alone right now. Especially if she couldn't even summon her tiny bubble dragon.

Donovan caressed Alice lovingly as he continued to hum. Tears were pouring down his face but his expression was blank. Donovan held Alice as she rested against him, whispering the words to her softly now. He just sat there, holding Alice, cradling her gently in his arms. Donovan said nothing, just being there for her. He didn't mind being hit by her flailing, he knew it wasn't her fault.

Alice enjoyed the company. The warmth radiating off of Donovan made her feel warm, even though the cell was plenty cold. She sighed, wiping away the last of her tears. Not saying a word, Alice stayed in his embrace, not daring to move. She was fragile at the moment, and one wrong move could break her. Minutes passed, and all of Alice's tears finally disappeared. She smiled to herself softly, humming the same lullaby Donovan had hummed to her. It was soothing, and it made her feel soft and fluffy.

Her smile widened, her bubble was back! Standing by the edge of her cell was her bubble dragon. It was curled in a small ball, it's chest heaving up and down. It must've been sleeping. Like I mentioned earlier, all of Alice's bubble creations are lifelike.

Marcus looks at her "Wake up. I will keep you safe now." He gently pulled her into a soft embrace. He ignored the scream and things flying everywhere. He just sat there and gently caressed her soft hair "You always worry about everyone else. You have rushed to help me on more than one occasion. Now it's your turn to be saved." He felt things levitating hit him. He just sat there and caressed her more. He didn't move his hand from her head, then he began to hum the song she uses to calm him down. Even if it didn't work, he was not leaving

Donovan gave Alice a small peck. He smiled at her "You're going to be just fine" His voice soft and quiet like it normally was now. He let Alice decide whether or not she wanted to be held more, or if she wanted to be with her bubbles. He found the bubble dragon to be rather cute. Donovan's body WAS radiating heat and warmth, which was odd because it usually never happened anymore. Ever since he was put into the Asylum he wasn't really himself.

Alice tugged at Donovan's sleeve, she really didn't want him to leave. Not yet, at least.

Stay a little longer, okay?

She was so glad he was telepathic. Alice had no idea how she would have survived saying that aloud. She was barely containing her

embarrassment while saying it telepathically. Shifting slightly, she found a more comfortable position, and leaned on Donovan, sighing contently. Alice was feeling much better, the content of her dream--of her nightmare gradually fading.

"imsorryaboutslappingyou..." Alice murmured as quietly as she could, to the point where it was almost inaudible. She wasn't very good at apologies, nor was she good at admitting she was wrong. Both were quite the struggle for her. Looking down into her lap, she fidgeted with her fingers, not knowing what to say. This was one of her few apologies, and she could never tell if she was doing it right. To keep her mind off of the awkward apology she just gave, she created another bubble, blue this time, that was squishy, like jello, except unlike jello, it didn't crumble.

Realizing she forgot to also thank him, she mentally slapped herself. How clumsy could she get. She opened her mouth, but no words came out. She was still embarrassed about her apology. Sending him a mental message would probably be better, she deemed.

Thanks... For you know, comforting me and staying with me. Don't make me say that aloud or again ever because I swear, I will kill you. Actually though, this time.

((Sorry, it takes me sixteen years to write a good response.))

Donovan laughed softly and wrapped his arms back around Alice. "I forgive you" He whispered in her ear. "I will stay as long as you need me" Donovan was happy to be with Alice. A part of him though wanted him to leave for an unknown reason. He decided to ignore it and continue cuddling with Alice. "I prefer hearing you say things also" He smiled as he laughed quietly, whispering his words into her ear. "Being telepathic can be exhausting and tedious sometimes" He gave Alice a little squeeze, bringing her even closer to him.

Alice buried her face into his arms. She hated how it was almost like he made an effort to embarrass her though she knew it wasn't true. Saying things aloud made them five-hundred percent more embarrassing for Alice. She wasn't one to openly express her feelings like that. Her were red enough as it is. Thinking to how Marcus openly declared his love for Raven, Alice had a newly found respect for him. Here she was, not even able to thank or apologize to Donovan openly.

Bringing her lips close to Donovan's ear, she whispered, "Guess what else can be exhausting?" Laughing softly, she continued, "Having to take care of a dumbass who's view of other people is more important than the view on himself." If was funny, since Donovan was actually the one constantly watching out and caring for Alice.

Donovan smiled "True, and thank you by the way." He gave a small smirk, the first anyone has EVER seen in the entire history of ever of anyone who has ever met Donovan. "Since you don't like saying things out loud, I will have to adjust so you can be comfortable." Donovan nuzzled his head against hers and entered her mind. "Do you wanna know something else that can be exhausting?" Donovan spoke to her in her head so she wouldn't have to talk out loud. The small smirk remained on his face as he spoke telepathically to Alice.

Alice widened her eyes in surprise. Was that a smirk she saw? On Donavon, none the less? Returning the same smirk, she looked into his eyes, sending him a message.

Oh, do tell me.

Alice couldn't help but grin. She saw Donavon with a smirk. Donavon, for crying out loud! She had to admit however, she liked how he had never smirked. That meant that she could've possibly been the first one to see it, just as he was the only one who'd seen her cry. Still, she couldn't help but grin even wider. She was still trying to process Donavon, smirking and playful. Damn, this was her lucky day.

"I'll give you a hint" Donovan made Alice see a series of explicit and very sexual events between them both. After the little montage he waited to see how Alice would react. His hands had wondered close to Alice's chest while the images were going through her mind. He kept them at a good distance though so the message could get across without him going overboard with it. He was being extremely playful with Alice now, his intentions extremely clear at the moment.

Alice saw the images running through her mind, a shiver running up and down her spine--a good kind this time, not the kind Donovan's red eyes had given her. She had debated for a split second whether or not it would be a good decision, but had decided that decisions were overrated. Act now, decide later. Staring at his lips, she had basically pounced on him, letting out a low growl. She had pushed him onto the floor, pinning his arms above his head.

"I'm afraid I can't be tamed," Alice purred. Alice wasn't the submissive type. She's never been shown dominance over.

(( Raven, Marcus, don't worry about it. We're not actually going to go into much detail, so hopefully that won't be a problem for you guys. c: ))

((I'm cool. I've read much worse than what your putting out. And how does it feel to be the other side of the insults you throw out Alice?))

((Everything goes in roleplay and everything stays in roleplay. Meaning if that is where it leads that is where it leads)

She grinded her jaw together. So many thoughts happy, sad. Her eyes flashed open illuminated aqua filled her gaze objects swung to the panels breaking in the process of her action. She concentrated on the harmony of his voice trying to ease down all these thoughts inside people's heads.

(And back my teacher took my phone -...-)
