Shui Kamia

The tiny raindrops that found its way to slide off the ceilings of the different houses fell onto the ground, creating tiny splashes that barely anyone would see or notice. Yet, it signified the end of the long, heavy rain. Finally, the deep gray clouds cleared up on the sky, revealing the bright sun once more to the City of Castille, shining its radiance upon the busy streets. Coated in a layer of wetness from the earlier rain, the streets seemed to be sparkling, reflecting off the lights caused by the shimmering rays of the sun.

He walked through such streets without exactly any particular expression, the hood over his head to hide his werecat ears that would reveal his existence as a Specie. Hidden before in a tiny bar that was open even during the day, Shui waited till the rain to stop before going out once more, the lute still completely protected and well-kept, carried firmly on his back. It has been one of the many times he visits this city for the humans already, collecting pieces of different information and getting ahold of the most recent news, in which he could go back and share with the Species of the forest about. Shui has often been delighted when he managed to get some of their technological devices, it's something that would amuse his younger brother Shou of--simply the thought of the his brother's face lightening up caused Shui to smile. How long has it been since their parents died? How long has it been since Len died? Time always seems to pass by too fast, not even giving a chance to savor a sweet memory.

If one is to compare the Forest to Castille, it can be said that the forest is more illuminated by a soothing calmness than the busy exciting city. Of course, the forest is not always peaceful. Constant fights over territories or possessions over anything occur often between Species, adding on by the many Hunters that wander through the trees, their eyes sharp in search of their targets. However, Shui has been skilled enough to avoid most of them, the many years of experiences taught him fairly well how to stay out of any battles that's none of his business. And even so he could still acquire as much information as he wants, even in the human society.

Much of the recent news included Ballan, the Hunter Organization, Cacciatore's boss, return his main focus once again onto the massive killing and capturing of Species. Before so, Hunters were told to train and enhance their fighting abilities more than going out and hunt for Species themselves. They were also supposed to be majoring on protecting the citizens from the Inhumans, whose numbers have increased for reasons still in need to be identified. However, now that the focus has changed, most of the Hunters are not outside of the city, with little of them left to guard the citizens' safety. On the other hands, rumors have been going around among Species about a rebellion movement, led by a werewolf named Tavius Danz, against the human society. From what he heard, Tavius has been recruiting and asking for others to join in the rebellion, but this rumor has already been going on for a month without any particular movement.

With these news in mind, Shui continued to walk down the streets, reorganizing the information in his head, his cat ears peeked up under the hood to capture any more possible information from the people that passed him by. Finally, Shui loosened up his thoughts. He decided to focus on how to spend the day now, for his stomach had growled. With the money he collected from last night's lute performance, he could eat a nice meal at a small restaurant and still have enough to spend a night at a cheap hotel. Shui did not have a house to live in this city, for he was only a visitor, one could say, and always ready to go back to his home in the forest.

Under the gradually heatening sun, Shui's eyes started to glance over at each booths and stores at the sides of the street, seeking a small restaurant not too expensive for him to eat a meal.

Karia Ralvin

Blocked away from the same sun is Karia, who had just finished from a painless experiment in the laboratory. Sliding her clothes back on, she let out a short whistle of delight, for there would be no other experiments to be performed on her for today. Karia still felt the slightest dizziness from a test including an unknown type of "medicine" several days ago, but she had persuaded herself that it's nothing to worry about. Instead of resting, Karia wanted to go out onto the streets, patrolling and looking after the citizens' safety. She has long heard of Ballan's new turn of focus, and was secretly displeased. To kill Species who just want to live peacefully is something she has never liked to do, not since she learned of what many Species are actually like from Len several years ago.

With a short huff, Karia found her way to grab hold of her weapon, which is in its usual gun form, before throwing it over her shoulder, feeling its weight that she has long grown used of. "Let's go!" She chirped to herself, deciding to cast away the thought of Ballan away for now. Her long creamy blonde hair flowed gently behind her as she cheerfully skipped out of the room to face the long white hallways of the rest of the laboratory.

With little effort, Karia walked through the maze, turning left or right when coming to a corner. For years she has been experimented in this very same lab, the lab that contains both her darkest nightmares but also moments she's been fond of. She has long familiarized herself with the ways of this laboratory, although each time she passed through the hallways, the early memories of her getting lost with it would pop up in her mind. And she would smile, laughing innerly at her younger silliness, before dancing her way out of the laboratory.

Karia started to wonder what exactly she should do now, the plan she should have for today. She didn't want to go too far away from the laboratory, in case her father call her back for more experimentation. Standing at the gates, Karia's excited expression was replaced by a frown. She has forgotten to make a plan for her fun free day today! Has her life really been revolved around the laboratory so much that she has forgotten how to have fun?

Her hand tightening around her weapon, she decided to patrol the streets, in case of any Inhumans' attacks. Although Ballan has turned his focus onto the Species, it didn't mean that the number of Inhumans have lessened, after all. With the thought in mind, she finally exited the gates of the laboratory.

Minnie Elion Davis

The lulling patterns of the rains rhythmic pitter pattering filled the corridors otherwise quiet demeanor, consistent clicks of a figures heel atop the tile flooring falling into the soft thumps light sounds occurring from above. On occasion that who strolled through the hall lonesomely would pass small pitiful decorations accessorizing the otherwise plain walls in varying positions, may it be a clock or yet another depressing illustration of fruit that in some way held a deeper meaning.

The fruits symbolizes the delicate balance between them, each one stands for a different race as they're all piled a top one another in a fashion where they're all trying to be noticed. The scientist thought in a purposely snobbish tone, as thought the stereotype was that only wealthy old individuals found interest in art and whatever meanings they may find prospering within an art piece.

Of course the scientist wasn't expecting posters to cover the walls speaking of inspirational quotes given by past geniuses or ones simply conjured to boost the readers self confidence, but through out his eight year within the facility Minnie had come to wish that at some point they'd realize that making the organization in some ways a little more homely would improve some peoples attitudes; for even though we all in some aspects get along with one another, the constant necessity of performing all nighters affected the personalities of the scientists after awhile many knew.

Minnie could only fathom the amount of times he had asked for the assistance of a partner or simply questioned ones hypothesis, only to receive a nasty attitude rather then an answer as preferred.

"I asked for an answer, not for you to be give me your famous 'tude sweetheart." The scientist murmured under his breath the line he had begun to speak more then even a simply greeting, a little delusional from his present lack of sleep over the duration of the last two days. Well, he had gotten some sleep crammed into his busy schedule, ten minutes ago he had enjoyed the beautiful bliss of napping within the lounge as he awaited the completion of the cup of coffee now warming his normally freezing palm after he cleansed the sleek white handle with a disinfectant towel.

"Oh that Luke, i'm going to snap if he even brings up my report again."
Minnie growled, the abrupt statement occupying his mind and causing him to suddenly lose recognition of his footing and stumble forward a few steps before regaining his clumsy balance with great will and effort outside of the laboratory gates, mentally thanking the ruthless fates for pitying him and allowing the scientist not to collide with the ground in a one-sided brawl.

Minnie rose his hand upwards to his widening mouth, index finger brushing his pale upper lip as he let out a howl like yawn, listening with peaked ears though his sleepiness to hear the door before him open. For a moment he remained still, occupied by the task of yawning with scrunched eyes, a thick layer of exhaustion decorating the lower portion of his eyelids.

Though when the task was complete the scientist drew his attention to that who stood before him, a familiar face that in some aspects imitated that of another expression he has observed before.

The young women in front of him he had watched age since his first appearance in the organization eight year ago, much of her had changed. Though her cheeks still held the same roundness as they had when she was twelve, the surface decorated by varying band aids of cute patterns, ones Minnie silently questioned where she had acquired them.

"Ah Hello Ria Sweetheart,"
Minnie greeted in a friendly tone his voice drenched in his Russian accent that in some ways would cause many to imagine him as a stereotypical villain of sorts in a terrible movie. "Off to spend your day out on the town I presume?"

Ryc Oculet

Small pools of water fell though the the thin spider web like cracks which decorated the exterior edges of the young mans pathway in a disarrayed fashion, thin puddles of varying sizes made an appearance upon the concrete, gradually devouring the floor that they all stood upon with its look that mimicked that of a black tar; only being blessed with an ounce of beauty and deserving interest when the suns golden rays fell upon them and shined its pure light into the water.

A child may see such a increased population of puddles as an opportunity to prance about through the liquids with companions, dirtying their clothes without a second thought towards the work their parents had originally put into cleansing them.

An adult may see such a decrease in rain as an opportunity to retreat from the quarters they may have rushed into when the rain had begun to pour in thick heavy droplets, fearful that they may lose the pristine image they had put together wholesomely during dawn.

Ryc, himself fell into the latter, striding outside of the cramped cafe he had at first found to be fitting until there was the sudden stomach sinking realization that he had walked through the entrance of a cat cafe and was suddenly stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Eyes now glistening with sparkling tears he attempted with what might he could conjure to leave the vicinity and the presence of any human being before he would allow himself to release a dreaded sneeze, such a thing as being allergic to cats being ironic in his case.

But with great agility and speed, Ryc without moments of hesitation stalked down the sidewalk in a frantic but unusually casual manner dodged the portions of land soaked in the rainfall swearing on his soul that he wouldn't allow mud to dirty the shoes he had taken the time to shine that morning after he had awaken.

Finally with the sudden abundant action of turning into an ally cramped by the towering buildings on either side Ryc came to an abrupt halt and as though it brought him great pleasure released a sneeze which despite his determined actions to not allow anyone to hear echoed off the bricks around him in a loud manner.

Avice Revel

Droplets spattered on her palm and slid down her thumb and wrist like cold teardrops. She pulled her hand back, beneath the safety of the tent which was the color of latte with the name of the cafeteria written on its top in cursive letters and a steamy cup full of the bitter liquid this business was so proud of drawn beneath. The boss never missed a chance to boast his long lineage of coffee growers to his employees and sometimes even to his customers. His ancestors used to grow coffee trees outside of Castille but they had to abandon everything when their fields became filled with nymphs and one of his great-grandfathers became an Inhuman. The boss' tone became lower every time the Species were mentioned and his expression darker. But he was born and raised in Castille and he had never seen a Specie or even a coffee tree except of in a picture and that made Avice question how much he truly hated them when their business was already a success and his family rich again by the time he was born.

Avice slid her hand between her uniform's white collar and brushed the cold rainwater against her nape, the ends of her short hair tickling her fingers. The coolness relieved some of her discomfort but she wouldn't feel fully revitalized unless she had a cool shower and a good break from work. After a series of tiring experiments and a lengthy questioning session about whether she experienced any lack of appetite, difficulty focusing on the given task and other questions related to the symptoms of becoming an Inhuman, she had to spend the rest of her day off filling in for her colleague who was still recovering after her appendicitis surgery.

Avice neither knew or wanted to know what that was. She didn't want to hear anything else about hospitals, labs, tests and anything else of that nature.

"Avice!" a really pissed boss called to her behind the entrance door, his voice muffled by the thick glass "These customers won't serve themselves and neither will I! I'm the boss and you're the waitress! It's my job to make the coffee, it's your job to bring it to them! Isn't that clear enough for you?"

Avice offered him a lazy smile as she pushed the door open, momentarily trapping him between the glass and the coats hanging at the front corner of the tiny yet cozy entrance hall.

"You do realize I can fire you, right? You do realize that!" the smallish man tried to keep up with her walking pace while flailing his arms around, trying to grab the woman's attention.

"If you fire me then you'll definitely have to serve the coffee your-" she covered her mouth with her hand and yawned loudly even though they were already inside the shop "-self."

The small cafe was quite old-fashioned in style. Wooden floor covered with a long carpet, cream-colored walls with a pattern of tiny coffee beans, circular wooden tables with feet curved by hand, comfortable chairs with soft seat cushions, long curtains tied to the sides of the floor-to-ceiling windows and paintings of fields planted with coffee trees, coffee grinding machines and other coffee-related images were hung on every wall, filling all the empty spaces while at the far end of the room stood a wooden grand piano. Avice wasn't a big fan of classical music but her colleague played some pieces even she knew when they were closing or when the only customers around were their regulars.

The boss fell silent once they were within earshot of today's few customers and Avice sighed in relief as she loaded her tray with the steamy cups awaiting her on top of the counter. This job was usually a pleasant one but today was supposed to be her day off and she had no qualms for quitting just to get a chance to enjoy it.

She suddenly froze in front of a customer. "Miss?" the woman asked her, obviously feeling awkward "Are you alright?"

Avice shot her a huge smile
"I'm great. Thank you very much." and then withdrew to the back of the shop where they kept all the supplies of coffee beans and tea leaves, clean napkins, unopened boxes of teaspoons, brigs, cups, saucers etc. She pulled the cellphone she used for work out of her vest's breast pocket and after stealing a quick glance at the hallway to make sure her boss wasn't around she typed a message and sent it to a number she had never used before.

Heya Ryc!

I hope you're not busy.

Wanna go grab a bite or have a drink with me? Anything's fine.

I will however need some help to escape work so would you mind

dropping by, preferably looking upset, and inform me of

my mother's sudden hospitalization?

Counting on you!

- Avi.

Euli Latera

The pattering of raindrops against the window slowly came to a stop, signaling the end of the damp weather. Despite the tightly drawn curtains, sunlight managed to find its way into the room, stirring Euli from his mid-morning nap. The Werecat sat up abruptly, and the ears atop of his head twitched, finding that he could no longer hear the tirade of the rain. A smiled graced his lips as he pushed the blankets off eagerly and tumbled to his wardrobe. When he woke up earlier today, all ready to bring upon the world all of his razzle-dazzle, he was instead greeted by what seemed like buckets of water being dumped over Castille. He had trudged back into his bed, prepared to spend his day off from work curled up in bed and sulking. After all, there was absolutely no way that he would venture outside in the downpour. Just the thought of water on his body made him shudder. Now that the rain has stopped though, he was ready (again) to set out.

Euli selected numerous pieces of clothing from the wardrobe and laid them all out on his bed. His sharp, cat-like eyes quickly glided through all of them before shoving all except a T-shirt back into the closet. He pulled his nightwear over his head and replaced it with the T-shirt. It was neon pink with tiny, multi-colored flowers dotted all over it. For Euli's standards, the shirt was rather plain, but considering that his mood was already quite dull thanks to the previously terrible weather, it will suffice for the remainder of his day.
After making sure the upper half of his body looked presentable, Euli then kicked off his pajama pants and pulled on a pair of yellow skinny jeans that hugged him in all the right areas. Next, he took the cardigan and black baseball cap hanging by his door and tied the former around his waist, effectively hiding his tail from sight. Pressing his ears against his head, he put the cap loosely on his fluffy, pink head (whether it is dyed or not, he'll never tell). Unsurprisingly, it was pretty uncomfortable to keep his feline ears like that the whole day, but he'll have to suck it up if he wants to keep himself from being chased by Hunters.

As finishing touches, he went to his desk and put on his red-framed glasses that he always wore, and picked up a small, silver hoop earring and put it into his pierced left earlobe. He had gotten the piercing a couple of weeks after coming to Castille when he spotted numerous humans wearing earrings. Those little sparkling jewelries immediately caught his gaze, and he gathered what little money he had in his savings in order to get his ears pierced. It wasn't as though Species didn't have earrings, but they were nothing like the humans'. Theirs had the most intricate designs on them and came in all different varieties. They were simply too glamorous for him to let go. Sadly though, after experiencing the pain of having a hole practically drilled into his flesh, Euli called quits and was left with only one piercing.

Finally finished with dressing himself up, Euli did a quick trimming on his nails. Being a Werecat, his nails grew quite rapidly, so he had to make sure to clip them everyday so he doesn't accidentally scratch any humans. When all that is done, he grabbed his keys, phone, and wallet, then put on his pair of boots before leaving his small apartment room. Humming a small tune, he hopped down three flight of stairs and headed to the more populated area of Castille.

It didn't take long for Euli to find himself in a familiar street where he worked at. It was a pretty busy street with lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Deciding that he needed to grab a quick brunch, he entered a small restaurant and found a seat by the window. A waitress spotted him and went over to him.

"Hello. May I get you anything?" She asked with a smile.

With a playful wink, Euli replied, "Your lovely smile was already the best thing you could have given me. But I'll also have an order of pancakes and milk, if you don't mind."

The waitress was obviously an easy girl to flatter, as she blushed and giggled madly at the compliment. While trying to contain her joy, she nodded. "Of course. Your order will be right up."

With that, she practically pranced into the kitchen as Euli watched with great amusement. Letting out a sigh, Euli made himself comfy and glanced around the restaurant. Other than himself, there were about ten more customers. One of them particularly stole his attention. That customer had a hood on and carried a lute with him. Euli wasn't exactly sure if it was his imagination, but he felt as though he had seen that man before. Without realizing it, he kept stealing glances at the man and wondered where he had seen him.

Velyn Shae

The only sounds that could be heard in the forest were Velyn's soft footsteps and the occasional drips of the droplets of water against the ground. Up until just a couple of minutes ago, the Elf had been in the main camp of the rebel group to hide from the rain, as well as to find out about recent human activities. She had heard that the leader of the Hunters organization, Cacciatores, it was called, seemed to be planning to kill the Species in larger numbers. Naturally, this caused an uproar within the camp, though it was quickly calmed by Tavius, the leader of the rebel group. Tavius rejected requests to go into Castille and attack the humans, knowing that they shouldn't be rash on the spur of the moment. He convinced that they needed to gather more members before they can be a match for the humans' overwhelming numbers. Not only that, he mentioned that many humans are being infected by their disease lately, so it wouldn't be long until the humans are weakened.

Velyn had to admit, she did not regret choosing to join the rebel group. She had met many Species who had actually understood why she wanted to take revenge on the humans, much unlike her Elf community who urged her to give up on that thought. In addition to that, she found that Tavius is an excellent leader who was able to keep together a group of passionate Species. Though, it made her sigh to think about the fact that she had to wait longer to finally eliminate the retched humans who had taken away her home. She had waited for over hundreds of years, but now waiting for even a day longer felt like torture.
But she was an Elf and she could live for thousands of years. It was like she was born to wait.

Letting out another sigh, Velyn let herself wander the forest to calm down a little. Out of her peripheral vision, she spotted a small bunny who was creeping up to her cautiously. With a rare, gentle smile, she knelt down slowly and reached out a hand. The bunny, as if deeming her harmless, hopped up to her and nuzzled against her hand. It always made Velyn's heart flutter whenever little critters come to her, and this time was no exception. Her smile grew wider as she gently rubbed her thumb against the bunny's head.

Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to wait one more day.

Ali Rowen

Ali walks to her widow office and it is raining here in the hidden vampire city. She sigh softly to herself while she look out. She bites softly on her pen in worry. Her people tell her that there are more inhumans walking the human citys.

The blood in her bank are label clearly shows the difference from human and other beings. She knows if war comes to the head that blood in her bank will be in need. The young vampire turn from the widow of her office.

She takes a sip of warm blood from coffee cup. She shifts though the papers on her desk. She sigh into her cup because she doesn't have a lot of blood to fill orders. She runs her fingers through her chocolate brown hair in stress relief.

Lisa Mozhet

Rain drizzled down from the dismal sky onto Lisa's pale nose. She looked up at the sky through the pine trees and sighed in boredom. She looked around at the gloomy atmosphere in shame and tried to keep her balance amongst a single oak branch. She then jumped down from the tree and stumbled on a twig. She said loudly ," Damnit... ". Surprised by her own clumsiness she sighed once more and started heading down the trail.

She then looked down out her kimono and though,"
I can't wait to get this annoying thing off..." Lisa often hated wearing kimonos on duty. Since she is a fox spirit it is a necessary garment for her to bear. She then looked at her reflection in a puddle. She gave herself an irritated look and mentally reminded herself to get a haircut as soon as possible. Unlike most female fox spirits, she prefered to keep her hair short.

Lisa looked down the path at the mountainside's view. In her vision she was beheld to the magnificent aspect of Mora's biggest town square. She then smiled slightly and whispered,"
Time to get this task over with." Lisa then slipped her mask on and ran down the mountain heading straight towards the town.

Noelle

"What do you want to eat, my darling?"

The familiar alluring yet gentle voice of a middle aged woman stands before the little girl.
The lady smiles with such warmth and kindness, that the girl feels her frozen heart was being thaw.

"Mother."

The door entrance slowly creaks opens, as a strong build man enters the little cottage house. After a long day from hunting, the man drenched in sweat heartily holds up his prize triumphantly in the air.

"Looks like we're going to have rabbit for dinner tonight!" he said with his usual bellow chuckle.

"Father."

Yes, this her home. The cozy little home where her, her mother and her father lives. The intricate design of the rug, the beautiful landscape pictures of the neighborhood lake, and forest hangs on the walls, and the familiar musky smell of hardwood filled the air which she came to love. The young girl felt reassure, because all of
that was just an nightmare....

Abruptly, the scenery changed as her vision fazes pitch black. Trying to readjust, she rubs her eyes and looks around. The living room was suddenly dimly lit while noticing the atmosphere of the whole room suddenly dropped cold. The eerie sense of danger and fear lurks the place. There were screams of terror coming outside of the house but the girl couldn't comprehend what was going on. Father and Mother appears entering the living room while in serious discussion.

"I have to go. I can't stand still waiting for these monsters to come kill us. You stay here with Noelle."

"But honey!"

The mother looks at the man with deep pain as she sees him holding the axe in one hand, and hastily opening the door with the other. The man is gone. Tears slide down on her delicate face as she swiftly wipe them off. Suddenly, Noelle heard her father voice screaming in agony. After a few seconds, the deafening loud thumps coming from the entrance echo through the little cottage house. Mother runs toward her as she gently embraces her little daughter.

"Listen Noelle, when I tell you to run, run toward the back door of the house. Okay?", there was a tremor in her usual gentle voice.

She adds in, "I love you, my darling."

With a final loud thump, the door crashes into bits and pieces. A shadow covers the wooden floor. Noelle notices the shadow wasn't the figure of a man due to the strange ears above its head. Her mother seeing the beast, stands up and put her arms far apart in order to protect her only child.

"NOW RUN NOE-"

Noelle feels a warm substance across her face. Water? She touches it in order to make sure, but it only made her heart freeze. Crimson red. Her hands begins to shake uncontrollably at the sight. Noelle looks up toward the direction of her mother to question her about this. However, this only made it worst. There, lying at the cold floor is her dear mother drowning in the pool of blood.

"
No...no....NO!"

She screams from the saddening despair of the harsh reality. Noelle rushes to her dead mother and furiously shook her. All signs of life is indeed gone from the woman. The little girl couldn't believe it, the waterfall of tears seems to never end. The deep wild growl of a large animal suddenly startles her. Noelle slowly glances upward, there with its end standing thick fur and scissor like teeth, was the werewolf. Almost like a mocking gesture at her lost, the beast snarls evilly.

Noelle eyes shot open as she quickly sat upright on her bed. The irregular beating of her heart and the unsteady breathing pace of her breath made her nauseous. She tightly grips her shirt near the chest, almost hoping that the pain could go away just like that.

"That nightmare came again..."

Although she had this nightmares many times when she was a child, Noelle only dreams it once or twice a month now. She quietly listen to the rhythmic dropping of rain from outside. After a few seconds, she starts to feel her heart going at its regular speed. Noelle sighs, how embarrassing of her to still dream about this at this age? She shivers at the vivid memories of that dream, the eyes, the ears, and the teeth of the beast still haunts her. Noelle carefully touches her back and traces the large scar that she got from that incident as in fear of the recollection of horror. The gash is like a reminder for her to avenge her family. Nevertheless, it will be another boring day for her today. Silently, the girl got out of the bed and starts to prepare for school like usual.

(Sorry for the long wait! I hope I didn't make any major grammatical error...)

Troy; TXII

Annoying. There was no other word to describe the intolerable noise that rudely entered his hearing system mixing and mingling with the lovely voices of the women inside his television screen. Has it no shame? Was the rain so bored, that it had nothing better to do than prance around in his head singing ridiculous songs of mourning? A small sigh escape from his voice box, the only sign that would lead anyone to believe that the metal man was feeling any type of discomfort. There were no eyes to roll, no hair to flip, nor a mouth to open . . . just the sound and hand gestures were all that was given to Troy in order to get his point across. Scratching his "head" in frustration, the mechanical being extended his arm in order to grab a small remote, slamming his thumb hard on the (+) button to increase the volume. Oh how he hated the rain. Not only was it an obstacle to watching anime it was also a threat to his entire being, hence why he was lounging around in his room.

"Damn . . ." he muttered, the increased sound doing very little to block out the pattering of the rain outside.

"Stop complaining you lazy ass bum!" a petite woman called out, a monkey wrench taking refuge within her grasp. Leaning back, he stared at the woman, the slits on his head examining the creature before him although he already knew what IT was. It was a broad that went by the name of Nix who served as a mechanic as well as his employer and benefactor. Zooming in on her features, he could see the oil and grease that clung to her skin, her breast (if one would even call them that) were so tiny that she might as well have been born a boy, and a clumpy hair that screamed for revenge on the hairstylist who had cut her once beautiful brown locks into the tomboyish bob cut she now sported. Increasing the speed of one of the gears within him, Troy waved his hand at the wench signaling that he had no interest in listening to her.

Suddenly, Troy could feel a sense of blood lust coming from behind him, and soon the sound of a metal soaring through the air. Laying his head down to dodge the monkey wrench that sought to decapitate him, it's target switching from himself to his beloved television who's life ended unexpectedly with a boom. As the girls disappeared leaving only a broken screen with a gaping hole in the middle, a little piece of him died. Moments such as these made him thankful for not having built in tear ducts, because he knew that he would be bawling like a baby at the death of Sheila, the name he had given his television before it's untimely demise.

"Yo-u You You barbaric woman!" he hollered, the miniature woman searching for another likely projectile, the anger in her eyes saying she wouldn't miss this time. Troy mimicked the sound of gulping by slowing a few gears in his neck, the two metal plates hitting each other slightly.

"What did you just call me you bucket of bolts?" she smiled manically, her hand having found a cleaver. Was it normal for cleavers to be laying around in a the hallway and not the kitchen? The answer didn't matter, but his life did. Knowing Nix, she wouldn't stop until he was destroyed or he was groveling at her feet apologizing to her.

" . . . Sorry." he groaned. It took all the screws in his design not to take back what he had said. A faint chuckling could be heard in the background, the flat chested broad laughing at his apology. " Erk if I could just . . ." he thought before coming to a realization. "She'll die eventually, no need to waste my thought processor on her." he mused, an invisible smile planting itself on the exterior of his head.

" Ha ha ha. Poor bastard Troy huh. Anyway, you gotta job. Go into town and buy me few parts. Ain't no dirty work this time, just an errand. Be back by . . ." she continued, Troy having shut off his hearing mechanism. Once her mouth stopped moving, Troy turned his hearing back on, slumping back down on the floor. His laziness was quickly met with a foot to the back of his torso, propelling him forward.

"Nix, you know I can't go out in the rain." he reminded, only for her to shoot a devilish glare in his direction.

"Well if you were listening, you'd know that it stopped raining a few minutes ago, jackass." she hissed, Troy listening for that annoying sound that would save him from having to leave the confines of his room. Having heard nothing, Troy pushed himself up from the ground, his head drooping downward sulking at the fact that rain comes only when it's convenient for itself. Clicking a few gears together, Troy took his cloak from the rack and tossed it over his shoulder, Nix reminding him it needed to be covering him and not hanging loosely somewhere on his body. He hated wearing this makeshift cloak of his, but it was the only way to keep the people in the lab off his trail, so he forced it on.

"Here's a file with all I need and the locations where it's available at." Nix said, a picture popping up into his head showing him pictures of the broad's wanted items. After confirming that this was all she needed, Troy pulled the hood over his pointed mechanical ears and exited the small hut like building and onto the mud covered road. Really. Not only did he have to leave, but now he was forced to walk in mud, which if he may add, get stuck in his shoes and is extremely hard to clean. Today was not a good day. Not a good day at all.

The Rothfarb Twins

Thalia and Tanith had finish their training for the morning session, packing up their equipment and slinging their large weapons on the backs. They had a bar of chocolate between their teeth, taking a large bite, chewing before swallowed. Both twins looked at each other weird before both slightly shaking their heads, a silent agreement.

In the walls of this training facility, there's no indication how the girls could tell it has stopped drizzling outside. But they never told anyone their secret: The Weather App. Some, were very intelligent to figure it out, like most of the scientists who work at the laboratory close by. But some, are just too thick to know and was astonished, flabbergasted, claiming they had an impressive gift.

They walked around aimlessly, their footsteps echoing softly down the hall before deciding to go in their private quarters. Entering through the door, the girls did what they always do when they're free: write.

Ryou Hayashi

As the rain pour calmed down, a pair of amber eyes glowed within the shadows of an apartment window, four dark paws stealthily stepped out onto the windowsill one after another just in time with the sun, which had finally decided to revealed itself from the dark clouds that had filled the sky just a few minutes ago. The sunlight slowly dawned upon coarse auburn fur, the white tip of a bushy tail that swished against the brick wall in anticipation as two dark ears twitched at the sound of a door closing shut following with heavy footsteps of a tired salesman who had just finished trying to sell a new technological prototype device.

Of course, Ryou didn't care if this particular human was tired or had a rough day, he didn't have any reason to. He stilled his posture and waited, not making a single sound until he heard the man's little voice. He peeked his head towards the window once more, just enough for an eye to see the man standing in confusion at the sight of a single open drawer he was sure that he had left closed before he went off to work.

Five...four...three..

He started counting down while watching the man slowly realized what had happened. Countless predictions of how this fellow human would react to the situation they walked upon swirled around his mind as he waited. Would the man drop down on his knees and cry in despair? Become red as a tomato as he screams out revolting words, spitting all over the place? Start to smash his own belongings and even throw it wherever he can?

Oh, he simply couldn't wait to see how this human would act!

Two and..

''Oh no..''

Oh yes.

"No....no! My watch! My precious watch! I-it was a rare model too!"

Good. I won't be returning it. Ever.

After watching the man frantically search through his other drawers in utter disbelief, Ryou slipped away as he barely fought a snicker, letting a streak of sunlight gleamed against a fine metal chain of the stolen watch held in the fox's mouth as he hopped down from windowsill to windowsill.

So the lad had been in the 'despair' category. Quite a dull response but it was better than nothing. He smugly trotted into an alley only to yelp in surprise, making the expensive watch fall from his jaw, as he jumped from an abrupt sounded that bellowed and echoed off the walls.

Ryou looked up, eyes rapidly darting around in search for colors spreading above the city.

Was that...a
firework?! In this hour??

Years ago, he had decided to slip into the city where the night sky made it easier for him to stay in the shadows. However, it was also the day that the human celebrated the new year, firing enormous sounds that lit up next to the glowing moon. Ryou had practically ran through the night, trying to escape the frightening sounds that threatened to steal his acute hearing. They even sounded similar to that of the sticks that humans carried around and shoot species with. Either way, Ryou didn't like it. The fireworks were simply too much for him to handle.

But the sound sounded more....disgusting than the loud ''boom'' of the lights that exploded in the sky. Ryou tried to calm his breathing as he slowly looked around the alley, his ears flattening in annoyance when he discovered a human standing with his back towards him. He slowly lowered his body to the ground, crawling back to the watch that had been fallen onto the ground, opening his jaw as he neared the item and carefully picked up the metal object with his teeth.

The instant he had the watch dangling in his jaw again, Ryou scampered away into the streets of Castille. He trotted past the familiar buildings and made a stop next to one cafe that let the smell of very odd but delightful scents of some sort of beans flow out straight into his nose.

But it wasn't the smell of such beans that made him stop.

Ryou made his way to the back of the cafe, quickening his pace when he spotted the garbage dump container and dropped the watch onto the ground again. He squeezed his snout underneath the small space beneath the container, even slipping in his paw to search the area. It didn't take long for his ears to perk up when his paw touched particularly cold surface, immediately dragging it out of the small space.

There you are.

The fox tossed the collar into the air, making the bell jingle while it landed on his head. He had to tilt his head for the bell collar to safely slip onto his neck and picked up the watch once again when it did so. He walked back to the front of the cafe, stopping near the entrance and peered inside. His eyes grazed past the humans that were seated at the round tables until he spotted the rectangular-ish wooden block sitting in the end.

Ryou liked it when a human was seated at that certain block. Well, he didn't have any thought for the human but the sounds that bloomed out from the block were such a treat to him. They would sound like the winds that breeze over the flower fields, the roaring waves of the ocean on a stormy day, leaves the color of sunset dancing with the autumn air, or other sorts of sounds that he couldn't really figure out. But nonetheless, they were all beautiful and magnificent.

His amber eyes glazed with disappointment when he noticed the block was all alone today, meaning, no glorious sounds. His bell collar jingled once again as he turned around, sitting alert while he scanned the surroundings for his next destination.

Fleur Lemonid

Sunlight peeked through the leaves of the tall trees that stood all over the Mora Forest. In the deeper side of the forest, near the meadows and small springs, there was a single ash tree that was perhaps an ancient one as its large size proved its old age. This ash tree was hollow inside, letting Fleur to be able to reside inside of it. The floor would have little tufts of grass growing, different sorts of vines would crawl over the walls, and handmade straw baskets of sorted dirt and seeds would be neatly placed towards the back. She took care of her flowers there, collecting and growing herbs outside so that a flowerbed surrounded the old ash tree she now called her home.

Outside of the tree, Fleur was seated upon one of the branches with a small basket of flower seeds on her lap, staring at the sky as the raindrops finally seemed to cease their falls. A small smile showed her joy in the change of weather and the nymph nimbly walked across the branch with the basket , easily stepping onto another of a different tree as it let its branches reach to the ash tree. Tiny droplets were perched on the petals of roses that decorated her dark hair as Fleur made her way around the forest, walking from tree branch to tree branch.

It wasn't until a certain hawk had suddenly decided to zip past her, perhaps in a rush to catch its snack of the day, almost making Fleur lose her balance in surprise. She quickly outstretched her arms to maintain her balance, letting the basket slip from her grasp as it fell down onto the ground. The nymph gasped as she realized her mistake and placed a hand onto the tree trunk to keep her balance as she peered down, searching for the basket. Beneath, she spotted another maiden with dark skin cradling a small rabbit.

Oh dear..

Shui Kamia

Under the dark hood, Shui's alluring green eyes seemed to glow as he slowly inspected each tiny restaurant he walked past, trying to figure out one in which the food would taste good at a price cheap enough for him to afford. Despite his poor status, Shui dislike having a bad meal unless there really wasn't any other options. With that in mind, his long fingers eventually found its way under his chin as he observed the restaurants through the windows with a light, curious smile. He has walked onto a street he hasn't been to before, therefore everything appeared quite new for him. As he expected, his trips to Castille were not yet enough to discover every parts of the city.

He finally located one that caught his interest--the warm yellow lights and the peaceful atmosphere the insides of the restaurant illuminated created the quiet style that Shui loves. He spotted a lad sitting by the window before entering, a lad that gave him a feeling of familiarity. His nails are painted, and earrings worn. The visible, shiny pink hair that found its way to stick out of the cap the lad was wearing made him quite catchy in looks. One end of Shui's mouth turned upward in interest at who this lad may be. He shouldn't be one of his customers seeking for his information, for Shui should have a clear memories of who they are.

With the slightest curiosity, Shui moved through the ten or more customers that entered before and after him into the restaurant, thinking of sitting next to the lad at the table besides him. To his amazement, however, this restaurant seemed more popular than he thought it could be. The customers found their ways to crowd in and sit in all the empty tables available, causing Shui to frown ever so lightly beneath his hood. He let out a tiny sigh at himself for not having moved faster, and with his eyes glancing around the restaurant, he noticed that an empty chair right across the previous lad's table is currently unseated. He stood there, wondering for a moment, before walking towards the lad.

Although Shui would rather prefer a seat isolated from most of the people and the busy streets to enjoy the beauty of peacefulness, and have his mind blocked out any noises as he enjoy a tasty meal, a seat by the window in which he could see the interesting sight of the crowding people outside wasn't really that bad either, for it reflected the life of the city of Castille in a way that's almost artistic. He didn't really mind having somebody sitting across of him either, as long as he or she is not a Hunter or anyone that might be difficult to deal with. Rather, the lad gave off a similar vibe that Shui wasn't hesitant to approach.

He placed one hand on the nicely carved wooden chair located across the lad of the same table then, before glancing over at the other, a faint smile visible on his lips beneath the hood as he seemed ready to loosen the lute on his back to place it aside. "Excuse me," he said softly. "It seems like all the empty tables have been taken. Would you mind if I sit here?" He asked hoping for acceptance.

Karia Ralvin

One step ready to officially exit the laboratory before she was suddenly called back by a voice that sounds utterly familiar although she has no idea who it's from yet. With a quick spin, Karia turned around to stare into a scientist that didn't take long for her to recognize. Ah, it's Minnie whose name sounds like meanie! The thought quickly found its way to form inside her mind as she gave a friendly nod back at who has just greeted her, a cheerful smile visible on her face despite her previous thought.

"Yep! I think I'm all done with the experiments for today for now...You can always call me back in case I'm wrong! I won't go too far," Karia replied with the usual delightful tone, her weapon balanced well on her shoulder with her hand tight around it as she skipped around happily. "Minnie should take a break once in a while too," she added in the end. In case your stress make you even more sadistic than you are now...Aye!

Karia has long heard of this scientist--Minnie's sadistic nature, from other people who had had experiments performed onto them by him, although she herself is not one of them. Karia has never liked scientists like him, but she doesn't really show her dislike unless it was on a level that she could not bear. Being under experiments and tests that have been carefully watched by her father in case of inappropriate abuse, since Karia is supposed to be "precious," she didn't know exactly how harsh the experiments in this lab has been performed. She does know, however, that even now many experiments left her with painful side effects. If there are people that have gone through worse, how exactly bad could it be? Just the thought caused Karia to shudder a little.

However, the layer of exhaustion was too visible on the scientist's lower portions of his eyelids that it quickly caused Karia to throw the thought to the back of her head as she exclaimed out towards the dark circles that was formed around Minnie's eyes. "Wa, it's not 'you should take a break' any longer, you need to take a break! Just what types of work have been keeping a sa-"--she swallows the word "sadistic"--"scientist like you so busy?" She asked, her brown eyes shining with curiosity.

Euli Latera

After a brief five minutes, the same waitress Euli had flirted with brought over his order with a gushing smile. Giving a nod to show his gratitude, the Werecat dug into his pancakes. They weren't really anything special, just like pancakes that a mother would make for her child's breakfast. Having lived on berries and fish for the majority of his life though, Euli found every meal he eat in Castille to be the most exquisite, and these pancakes were no exception.

Just as he was finishing up his first pancake, Euli spotted the man with the lute out of his peripheral vision. The latter had entered the restaurant, but unfortunately there seemed to be no more available tables. Euli wasn't surprised though. After all, who
wouldn't want to come eat at a restaurant with such delectable pancakes? He let out a soft, delighted chuckle at the thought. Though, his joy quickly faded away when it crossed his mind that the man will probably leave since there weren't any empty tables. Even if he did decide to wait, it wasn't as if Euli can nibble on his pancakes for who-knows-how-long until the man finally gets a table so that he can strike up a conversation.

With a strange sense of discontent, Euli decided to bury his head in his food and chewed on his pancakes that didn't tasted nearly as great as he had thought. He huffed and grumbled in his mind, trying to make himself feel better about this minor situation.
Why would I want to be friends with him anyway? It's not as if he seems all that fun or attractive... Or maybe he is, but that's not the point. I mean, just look at the way he dresses! So plain and ordinary and shabby! He may as well be a hobo... Though, I can't deny it looks good on him. At this point, Euli is already stabbing at his pancakes as if the poor food had done something to rue his life. It was only when someone spoke to him did he stop and look up in surprise.

The man with the lute stood in front of him with a small smile and a hand on the chair across from him. Euli stared, eyes wide and speechless. A few seconds passed before the question finally registered into his brain. He nodded quickly, his cap nearly falling off in the process. "Yeah. I mean, no, I don't mind. Go ahead."

Euli slapped himself mentally for stumbling over his words and once again buried his head in his food, but not without peeking at the man for a few seconds longer. He definitely seems extremely familiar. Perhaps they had crossed paths on the streets of Castille before? Or maybe he was a neighbor? With a thousand guesses going through his mind, he subconsciously started to attack his food again with his fork.

Velyn Shae

Velyn had sat down on the grass with the little creature still by her side. It was only moments like these that she found that she was able to ease her mind just a little and steer her thoughts away from revenge and battle. She had found that after what has happened to her home, and especially after joining the rebel group, that relaxation was no more a privilege of hers. Now, she can only find brief moments in her life to enjoy some peace.

The Elf giggled uncharacteristically when the bunny nibbled on her finger. "You must be hungry, little one. Perhaps I can find some-"

Her sentence was cut off when something dropped on the ground beside her. Almost immediately, her bow was in her hands with an arrow drawn. She didn't aim towards where the item had dropped though, but instead above somewhere up on the tree. Her keen ears had heard the faintest of movements up above. Although she kept her attention on the tree, she noticed the bunny scurrying away out of fright. Velyn held back a grunt of annoyance. It wasn't as if this was the first time she had scared off an animal with her agitated behavior, but it's definitely not going to be the first time that she's taking out her annoyance on someone else. In this case, whoever is up in the tree.

Velyn was about to release the arrow when she heard a shrill screech from above. Without moving from her position, she saw a hawk above her, and it was diving straight towards the bunny! With a grit of her teeth, Velyn spun her body around and released the arrow at the hawk. The arrow whizzed through the air, and
thump! It flew past the bird and planted itself into a tree. The hawk let out another screech before it flew off in some other direction. At first glance, it didn't look as if the arrow had hit the hawk, but in actuality, the arrow grazed its wings ever so slightly. Velyn doesn't wish to kill any animals, even if they do threaten to eat her friends, and she was glad that the small injury was enough to deter the hawk.

With that done, Velyn looked back at the tree and furrowed her eyebrows. If they were an attacker, surely they would've striked while she was distracted. Perhaps it was just a Species passing by. Even so, it doesn't excuse them for interrupting her time alone. She walked over and picked up the fallen basket before calling out, "Show yourself immediately or be prepared to be impaled by my arrows!"

Fleur Lemonid

With a gasp, the nymph immediately crouched closer to the tree trunk after seeing that the dark maiden pointed her arrow upwards- to be exact, at her. She closed her eyes, bracing for the sharp weapon to fly towards her and started murmuring her prayers. "Mother of Earth, I did not wish to rejoin you like this but I have made a grave mistake of dropping my flower basket which has now led me to face my fate of dea-" She let out another gasp as she heard the arrow stab into its target, her hands immediately flying onto her chest, only to be confused that the arrow was nowhere to be felt. She blinked her eyes open, patting her dress and looked around. Was the arrow invisible? Was it normal for her not to feel pain? Perhaps?! Was she...dead?

A screech echoed to her ears, making her look down to see that the arrow had been shot into a tree and barely stricken the same hawk that had made her lose her balance. Fleur let out a sigh of relief, feeling glad for the bird and her spared fate. However the moment was short lived when the dark maiden looked up again, an irked expression clear on her face. Fleur slowly stood up from her crouched position, watching the maiden pick up her fallen basket and tilted her head when she saw the maiden's pointy ears. The nymph let her eyes drop to the maiden's bow and arrow, starting to connect bits and pieces of information.

What had the flowers said about bows and arrows again? Something about..

She blinked out of her daze when a stern voice called out to her, the maiden was now holding up her basket and was waiting for her to show herself. Fleur bit her lower lip, wondering if she should take this chance to merge into the tree and escape or surrender to the maiden with the bow and arrow. She stared at her basket, starting to pout at her recollection of spending hours learning how to make it from the birds that were ever so busy making their own nests.

She couldn't possibly abandon it now.

Closing
her eyes for a brief moment, Fleur took a deep breath before stepping away from the tree branch, letting a passing breeze create a stairway from the leaves they picked up. With each step, the leaves scattered away once more, letting the nymph safely reach the ground without harm. She waved her hand to thank the wind before facing the dark maiden. She clasped her hands together, avoiding eye contact with the tall figure.

Of course she didn't rehearse what to say to the maiden with very sharp arrows that could end her life in a single moment.

Letting a stream of memories about her learning about how to interact with others, Fleur quickly curtsied.
"I am solemnly at fault for dropping my flower basket near your presence."

She straightened her posture, pressing her lips together before pleading forgiveness.

The young vampire knows that she have grow her business outside of the vampire kingdom. But she knows that it will not be easy. Most humans who runs the city's will not trust someone they don't know. The chocolate brown noblewoman sigh lightly. She slowly working on the largest city in the human world. But they are being so slow and not trusting her. She walk to the rainy window with warm coffee cup. She look through the window and wondering what to do next.

They called her in the morning of this day. They will not let her open a bank in the city of Castille unless she show herself. She worry about being found out and being harm by the hunters. She young vampire sigh lightly at the grey sky. But she have to leave the safety of her kingdom to get more blood for her people and the peaceful humans that need the blood.

Noelle Lester

The bustling noises in the streets filll the air as Noelle walked down the usual path to school. Even though the weather seems dreary, the people on the street is fluttering with energy. Noelle finds it interesting that no matter what kind of weather the people experiences, they will still continue what they are doing. This is nothing like the place she used to live where her folks would normally stay at home on bad weathers. The city life in general is completely different from her past life. The footsteps, the voices, and the blaring engines of the cars annoys Noelle. Her homeland was much more quiet with the melodic sound of birds chirping their songs at nice days.

The very fact that she is living in the city where constant noises always happen, is very ironic. She sighs, the boss should had gotten his headquarters somewhere in the outskirts of the city instead. The addition of the wet musky weather didn't help at all
. It has already been 13 years since she came to this city, but Noelle never quite call this her home. This place is foreign to her and the only place she once called home is already gone. In other words, she have no home. The relationship with the boss, her foster father, has no father to daughter connection. In fact, it is much more like a master to servant relationship. She neither hate him or like him. Nevertheless, Noelle is grateful to the boss by the reason of giving her a roof to live on and food on her plate. Although she knew him for a very long time, he still is full of mystery because of the way he never talk much about himself.

After turning to the next street, the young girl spots something in particular. What is it? It's auburn fur with its pointy cat-like ears catches her attention. A fox? No...it's unnatural for a fox to be living in the city. Then what kind of creature is this? Noelle tries to remember any recollecting memories to try to find any possible clue.

"Ah."

"It must be one of those hybrid dogs."

The animal stands in front of the cafe for a few moment.
Noelle stops a few feet away from it, fascinated about it. Her eyes catches the sad, defeated look of the dog. Is it homeless? Noelle glances at the bell collar on its neck. The dog must have an owner.

"Then maybe it's hungry."

The young girl recalls that she have a packaged bread in her bag. The animal starts to get up and pace around the concrete floor. Not wanting the animal to leave before she gives it the food, Noelle walks quickly toward the dog and kneels down front of it. She opens her bag and fumbles around with it until her found the thing she is looking for.

Holding out the packaged bread she says,
"Are you hungry doggy?"

Ryou Hayashi

The fox blinked when he saw the package that faintly gave off a smell that indicated it was something edible. Which meant only one thing. Or another, but that didn't really matter to him.

What was important was the fact that he was being offered food on a gloomy rainy day, his fur certainly didn't look fluffy due to the rain from earlier, and he didn't even start any of his "look-at-me-I'm-a-cute-domesticated-animal" acts upon oblivious residents that he visited whenever he was hungry. His ears twitched he heard the voice of the young female that held out the edible package and looked up. Ah, he wasn't craving for food a single bit but this youngling just appeared out of the blue (well, he could have smelled her from a proper distance but the city is filled with humans- why bother to distinguish any of them?) and handed him an edible package.

Only an idiot would pass on such a delightfully early meal of the day.

Without hesitation, Ryou opened his mouth and accepted the package, carefully avoiding the human's fingers with his teeth as he lifted the snack out of her hand. A thing he learned from being in his animal form was not to harm the city dwellers. He had seen stray dogs and cats getting scolded upon whenever they bit or scratched the humans. If anything, the most obvious thing he knew to keep up his "I-am-cute" status was to avoid baring his fangs or claws against the humans, especially against their younglings. One cut or scratch mark they get and they'll endlessly cry or scream or bawl or whine or whatever. Ryou hated it when the younglings made noise. Most of the time, their noises would call forth their mothers and the poor animals would be sent to some faraway place where he never got to see a glimpse of them ever again. Either way, just why would he give up the chance to receive plentiful meals as much as he wants during a day in the humans' so called territory? His sharp fangs and claws could wait until the day he clearly couldn't stand the sight of these monsters.

He dropped the meal onto the ground and let his tongue peek out. While he tried to think about how he should act infront of this youngling, Ryou recalled how the young female seemed to speak to him.

...

Doggy?

His eyes immediately glossed into a blank haze upon hearing the word and slightly tilted his head, recalling several snippets of memories filled with humans of different ages calling him many things. Let's see...for instance there was...

Ryou stared at the package, his thoughts flying out out his mind the same minute he had contemplated them. It wouldn't matter how he eats this human food, would it? Surely this youngling hadn't just offered him something he had to put effort into eating.

Ah well, it was better to eat now than having to hear his stomach growl later on.

Without further ado, Ryou tackled the snack with his jaw, immediately regretting it when his teeth sank into something that didn't taste so delectable against his taste buds. Another thing that irritated Ryou was eating food that couldn't be eaten right away. Such as this one which was right in his very mouth. With a spat, the package fell upon the ground once more and Ryou snapped his jaw shut, looking up at the youngling, who had dared to offer such an annoying thing that he foolishly labeled as a meal, as if he demanded some sort of apology or answer from her.

Avice Revel

Avice sighed. She slipped the cell phone back into her pocket and left the storage room. Her boss was standing at the front of the long hallway, near the kitchen door, arms crossed and, uncharacteristically of him, mouth shut.

"What's up?" she asked, lax and nonchalant, as if she had done nothing wrong.

He took a
very deep breath, clenching and loosening his fists several times, before speaking "What were you doing at the back?"

"Stealing stuff. What do you think I was doing? I ran out of napkins and went to get some more." she waved a pack of coffee brown napkins a few inches from his face and, smiling innocently, headed to the front of the shop.

She had her cell phone on the mute but she would feel the buzzing in case Ryc, whose name she often mispronounced, decided to reply. She took care of orders and even exchanged some words with a couple of customers, but her mind was elsewhere, flying far away, to places that could quell her boredom. She once thought work days couldn't get any duller but the absence of her favorite colleague made each moment so unbearable she just wanted to head to the backstreet behind the cafe and sleep on that dirty mattress her boss had been complaining about the past few days.

If the Ryc plan proved a failure, she could always quit this job and enjoy the rest of her day off by herself. Finding another job would be tough, considering she didn't even have a high school diploma, but she didn't mind that. Tough was good. She didn't even use the internet to find jobs, she didn't even own a computer, instead preferring the old-fashioned door-to-door method. It took a long time and was far less productive than the other method, but sitting in front of a computer screen, scrolling down pages full of letters and sign up forms was both boring and depressing. If she didn't want to experience the constantly noisy and busy streets of the city, she could as well move to the countryside. Her reason to live in Castille had nothing to do with the safety it supposedly provided to begin with. If she got sick of Cacciatores, she would leave without a second thought.

She was standing near the front of the cafe, with her body leaning on a window frame, staring at the clouds and waiting for a meteor to fall on earth - or something less catastrophic such as her cell phone buzzing - when the woman she had startled earlier clapped her hands together.

"Aw, look at it! Poor little guy, he must be hungry!" she said in a childish tone that didn't fit her image (she was in her late thirties and wore a very stern-looking suit).

A small animal was standing in front of the cafe, looking in through the window as if it was looking for something - probably expecting someone to come out feed it.

"How do you know it's a he?" Avice asked.

"It's obvious by looks alone." said the woman in a matter-of-fact tone "Aw! Can you give him something?"

"I wonder if it likes coffee." said Avice.

She didn't want to feed it. Because it would come back, and she didn't want to put herself into so much unnecessary trouble. Besides, this strange creature that she couldn't exactly call a dog, seemed to be in quite a good shape. Moreover, it wore a collar and it soon turned around to leave but stopped when a petite figure hurried to its side and knelled on the ground, giving it something - it looked like a packaged sandwich or a croissant perhaps.

"Look." said Avice "There's no need, someone already beat to-" she stopped talking her face brightened.

She excused herself and walked past a few tables, crossed the entrance and pushed the front door open. She walked on the tips of her toes across the sidewalk and when she confirmed the identity of the girl, she attacked.

"Hello there baby doll!" she knelled beside Noelle Lester and wrapped an arm around the smaller female's shoulder "Humans. Animals. I see it makes no difference for you, you're just cold towards everyone. Giving dogs food in a plastic bag is just plain cruel."

Shui Kamia

Smiling, pleased, he nodded in gratitude upon hearing the latter' reply on his request to sit across from him. Without making any sounds, he pulled the chair out from the table and sat down, then carefully loosened his lute and placed it aside, which leaned gently against the side of his chair. Letting out a short sigh of comfort to be able to settle down and get a meal, Shui took a moment to once again glance at the lad in front of him. Throughout the whole process this lad has seemed to be studying him, his mind likely thinking of all kinds of thoughts at who he might be. The thought of him being a hobo probably crossed his mind, for technically, he is one. Even back at the forest, he's considered a member of a poor werecat family. However, he liked it this way. Being a hobo that grabs no attention is better than being a rich popular star or infamous criminal that could not live a quiet or peaceful life.

However, it's not a lie to say Shui is wondering who this other lad might be too. The feeling of familiarity did not vanish a slightest bit even though Shui seriously did not have much of a clue of having contact with someone with pink hair and dressed himself up so uniquely. Although the idea that this familiarity might come from the possibility that he might also be a werecat, Shui dared not ask, not when they're surrounded by so many humans. For in case if he is one, or perhaps just another type of species, it could cause them troubles.

Giving himself a light "hmph" of interest, Shui's eyes moved down onto the pancake the lad was eating...or rather stabbing. He opened his mouth, about to talk, before a young, pretty waitress came toward the table, her bright brown eyes filled with energy and unknown excitement as she approached him, ready to take an order.

"I-Is there anything you want to order, sir?" She asked in a shy, cheerful voice, in which Shui greeted back with a smile.

"The cheapest...What's the cheapest food here?" He asked, his fingers fumbling with the wallet that he took out just now, hoping not to spend a lot.

"That would be pancakes, sir! The one the lad across from you is eating!"

"Ah..." Shui looked over at the half empty plate before replying back. "Then I would have that."

The waitress nodded fiercely, "Understood, sir! Um, may I ask a question, if you don't mind?" Suddenly, she stopped moving, her eyes abruptly fixed onto Shui's face as Her face reddened. Shui blinked, then smiled again. "I don't mind."

"A-Are you a hobo sir?"

Quite unexpected a question with that red a face, but Shui answered neverthelessly. "In a way, yes. But I do have the money for the meal." He waved his wallet slightly in midair as if to show the other.

"A-Ah no I didn't mean to be offensive! I-I mean you are a handsome hobo sir! A hot hobo sir! I-I mean a beautiful man sir! Just that you look utterly familiar but I don't live around hobos, so....I-I'm sorry if I um, um!" The waitress's face grew even redder with each words spoken, her body seemingly trembling with nervousness as she recognized her own words then unable to finish her sentence. But Shui ended up only letting out a short laugh, then pointed a finger at his lute.

"You probably passed by my lute performance once, I did perform around here one night, after all." He replied soothingly, the tone hasn't changed a bit.

The waitress's eyes shone. "T-That's right! I remember it now! It's...A really wonderful performance!"

"Tonight, I'll perform again outside the tiny bar down this street. If you come again...Perhaps, it'll be a love song for a beautiful lady such as you." Slipping in a flirty tease, Shui's smile widened as he glanced at the girl, delighted. "Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it."

The blush on the waitress's face was overly visible, as red as an apple by the time she understood the tease. "I-I'll be bringing you your order now!" Escaping away from the table, she seemed too embarrassed to say anything else. But Shui only watched her run away with the usual light smile on his face, before turning his attention back to the lad across from him, who continued t be stabbing his pancake.

"Your cupcake is deformed," he said softly as a reminder like nothing has happened as he let out a chuckle. "Perhaps, you too, seen my lute performance before?" He paused, resting his cheek on the back of his hand as he leaned lightly towards the table. "My apologies, you look quite familiar as well."

(@HighnessesReign @HighnessesKnight Are you still interest in this roleplay? Just asking to make sure, cause I'm not sure if I should let Karia leave you!)

----

(Overall, I apologize for this long absence and making this roleplay almost died! So here's a longass reply as a payback lol! I am in no way trying to brag about my character by the way! And sorry Fi fir beit bit off charscter it's been a while! >< Now let's revive this roleplay!)

Euli Latera

Euli watched intently, albeit discreetly, as the man sat down in front of him. Now that he got a closer look at his face, he realized that the man is very handsome. If only he had some more wondrous clothes to go with that beautiful face, then would look like a legitimate prince of some sorts. Perhaps he could give some fashion suggestions to him...

Before Euli could work up the nerve to strike up a conversation, a waitress came over and asked if the man was ready to order. He eyed the waitress and looked down at his pancakes absentmindedly, unaware of the fact that he had pretty much destroyed them. With their same, boring uniforms, Euli wasn't even sure if this was the same waitress that had taken his order. Either way, they sure sound the same with how easily their were charmed by simple compliments.

When the waitress left to fill the order, Euli heard the man speak up again.

"I don't think I've seen your performances before. Maybe we've seen each other on the streets or something. Speaking of which, I'd consider visiting some clothing store while you're around here. Plenty of stores with cheap but lovely clothes. Perhaps get something... Brighter, and with more sparkles and whatnot. You're a performer, aren't you? I'm sure your music is wonderful, but you'd definitely attract a bigger audience if you dress with more zest!" By now, Euli had finally left the poor pancakes alone, but instead is waving the fork dangerously in the air for emphasis. Only when several heads turned to cast curious glances did he finally notice his own elation. Letting out a sheepish laugh, Euli set down his fork. "My name's Euli. Sorry, I get a little excited when it comes to these things. By the way, I'd totally take you shopping later if you're up for it."

Velyn Shae

After several seconds of silence, Velyn considered to just simply shoot down whoever was in the tree. Just as she was about to drop the basket though, a figure appeared from the tree, seemingly stepping on the flying leaves to descend to the ground. Velyn narrowed her eyes dangerously. Was it magic? There weren't many types of Species capable of performing magic, especially elemental magic such as what the woman seems to be doing. For a brief moment, Velyn tried to consider what type of Species this woman might be, but her thought process was interrupted when the woman bowed and gave an extremely formal apology.

Velyn lifted the basket and sneered at the young lady. "I will decide whether I shall forgive you after you answer a couple of my questions. Of course, if you dare lie to me, I will leave no mercy for you." She paused to consider what she might ask. If this woman proves to be worthy of her forgiveness, perhaps she will just let her leave. Or, perhaps she will do the rebels a favor and recruit her. After all, having a magic user by their side could always be useful. "First of all, what is your name? And what Species are you? There are not many Species who are able to use magic so efficiently as you."

Fleur Lemonid

The words 'my basket..' died in her throat as the maiden lifted it away. Fleur blinked after hearing the maiden's remark. Moreover, her mind seemed to swirl into confusion when she received the sneer. It was that she didn't feel particularly bad or frightened, she felt...an odd sense of familiarity with such an expression.

But how? This was probably one of her 'less than five encounters' with other species for the year! Was it those mischievous bunch of little werecreatures that came along ever so often and end up rolling in her gardens for the catnip or dug up her dirt patches for food? (Those wild things would practically be the ones who made her use up all of her energy trying to chase them away without causing any disturbance to the forest. She did give them props for indirectly helping her strengthen her stamina.) Did they sneer like that? Or was it the impatient nature of some of the fairies she helped ( it was more of a situation where orders were 'barked' at her and she would give back one to three word remarks such as "Yes" "Please calm down" and the like) when they needed someone to have them re-bloom the dying flowers in their new homes down by the-

She took a step back, startled when the maiden jolted her out of her thoughts with a set of questions. Though one of them caught her interest.

Just why would such a fierce maiden be mentioning..

"..Magic-?" The nymph nearly gasped when she realized she had spoken aloud and glanced between the maiden's bow and her basket.

"I-I go by the name of Fleur.." She bit her tongue when she almost mentioned the fact it meant flower in french and continued, "Lemonid. You can consider me to be a meadow nymph by my last name but I am far specialized when it comes to flowers." She smiled, her confidence slowly grew as she was proud to say what she could do.

She glanced at her basket once more before continuing. It was the very reason that she was standing in front of this intimidating maiden after all. "I think I recall you mentioning magic?" She thought back to how she revealed herself to the maiden, making a thought click within her mind and her eyes slightly widened with excitement now that she understood the reason for the maiden's question. "Oh! Do forgive me, I have a habit of letting my magic slip out whenever I talk to the winds- they are quite the tough group but they help the birds deliver the seeds so.."

Fleur trailed off and started fiddling with her fingers as she caught herself going off topic. This certainly doesn't fit to be an answer the maiden was searching for. It couldn't be helped, she wasn't used to talking more than a few sentences in a day. She let out a small weary huff before quickly collecting her thoughts.

"As a nymph, I could guarantee that it is natural for us to use magic in our daily lives. But we do not use great amounts of it, we only go to such an extent if violence that we can not win against arose. The only reason I am able to use my magic so 'efficiently' as you exclaim is because of my mentors who have guided me to walk this path."

She paused, attempting to end her explanation there before adding, "And please excuse me for my choice of wordings. It isn't quite often I run along chances to interact with other..species." A small smile remained on her lips as she stared back at the maiden. She had pondered on asking the maiden her own questions however..

Fleur's eyes traveled to her basket. The questions would have to wait.

Noelle Lester

The animal took the packaged bread which satisfies because Noelle was afraid the dog didn't like this particular type of food. It seems quite intelligent from the looks of how careful and attentive it was when he took the bread. The dog begins to digest his new received food but spits it back onto the concrete floor. Seeing the great disappointment from the animal, Noelle forgot one very important thing.

"An animal could not open a packaged bread by itself."

Noticing how ignorant and foolish she was about not opening it beforehand she quickly took the packaged bread back from the floor. The girl opens the bread right this time and gesture it towards the animal.

"Sorry about that." she said.

Noelle then, glimpse at the animal's ears. It twitches and perks up so particularly that she felt tempted to touch it. She felt a bit flush and embarrassed about it but she couldn't resist the urge. Taking her other free hand out, Noelle slowly reaches toward the dog's head but swiftly pull it back when she heard a familiar footsteps coming toward her way. Even though the footsteps seem quite quiet, most likely due to the reason that the person is going to sneak up on her, Noelle knew it could only be one person. Suddenly an arm swung over her shoulder and Noelle sees Avice smiling cheerfully back at her. Avice is one of the fellow Hunter who have a similar situation like herself. Although these two might have a thing or two in common, Noelle didn't want to talk to anyone too much in general. She believes that it's a big nuisance to talk to people who are too talkative. Also, she questions why Avice would still talks to her and teases her even though when she coldly rejects her every single time. Today is no exception either.

Avice begins to tease Noelle right off the bat. When Noelle hears that Avice comments about how cold heartily she gave the poor animal the packaged bread, it startles her. Had she been watching her from the very start? Noelle glances at the cafe, it must be her part-time job in this area then. She didn't want others to know her fondness with animals.

Noelle harshly pushes Avice's arm away from her shoulder and shoves the bread in her hands,
"If I'm so cold towards everyone then maybe you should give it to the dog."

She then gets up and walks away from the two figures but decides to stop to say something again,
"I think it's better if you stop talking to me too."

With those final last words, Noelle starts walking off to school again.

@Aiakaos @Leuffteria

Avice didn't lose her enthusiasm when Noelle pushed her arm away - she was used to that kind of behavior. She stood up a second after the girl, dusting the front of her dark brown pants, and raised an eyebrow when Noelle said it would be better if she stopped talking to her. As if, what's better than clinging to unwilling workmates?

Avice took the package that was shoved her way and pulled the bread out. She placed it on the most dry spot she could find on the sidewalk and crumbled the package in her hand, looking at the one it was meant for "Don't come around again. We only have coffee and really sweet cookies. Dogs die if they eat things with sugar or something, right?" she said, but didn't put her hopes too high. Since it had been fed, it would most likely show up again.

"Come on doll." she then called out to Noelle with an amused smile, before she had a chance to walk too far "I was joking, don't be a brat about it, and drop by some time. It won't kill you to have some fun. Everyone has bad memories, especially people like us, and there's only one way to get rid of them; by overwriting them with good ones."

Avice petted the dog roughly and stepped back into the cafe. Noelle was a cutie, in her own atypical way, but Avice wasn't about to start running after people for no reason. Even if she somehow convinced Noelle to hang out with her, what would the two of them bond over? Their immunity? Their hatred towards the species? That would be like talking about work, and Avice didn't like talking about work when she didn't have to.

Ryou Hayashi

Hearing the youngling's apology, his annoyance level dropped to a low, surprised that she did so and waited for the girl to correct her mistake. It wasn't often he heard humans apologize, much less to him. He even stayed still when she tried to pet him, might as well give her a treat for her good manners- only to be interrupted when another female arrived and spoke to the youngling in a cheerful manner.

One of his ears twitched when he heard a word.

..plastic?!

Ryou's tail swished in impatience and glanced at the youngling in slight irritation. She had him taste plastic. Plastic, the non edible material which was even worse to eat because it was man made probably from sources they took from the forest. Moreover, the taller female must have said something to irritate the youngling as well for she stood up and left.

The 'food' had been handed to the other female, who looked his way and spoke to him. However her words flowed in and out of his ears as he was busy flattening them with disgust when he realized he had tried
to eat something that was wrapped in such disgraceful material. The fox decided that he should just leave the city, the weather was a mess, he almost ate plastic, and what else would be able to balance out such a nuisance of a day than returning to the forest?

Ryou looked at the ground, searching for the watch he had stolen earlier. When had he dropped the darn thing anyway?

Just then, he felt the fur on his head ruffled and petted, making him look up to see that the taller female had laid her hand upon him without any permission. Great. He had run along one of the many humans who decide that they can just pet him whenever they liked and-

His bristling tail calmed down when he saw the bread on the driest spot. Oh, well maybe she did qualify to pet him after all. The bread's tasty smell wavered into his nose, making him immediately crave it. His tail swished back and forth in delight, only to clash against an item, making him blink out of his wandering state of mind and turned around.

Ah, so there it was.

The golden watch gleamed up at him against the glass wall of the restaurant. Maybe he had dropped it when he was too busy staring at the rectangular sound maker. Ryou blinked. Maybe that's what it was called. Or what he should call it. Ryou shook his head. Whatever, he couldn't be bothered by its name right now. Before anything could distract him again Ryou picked up the watch with his teeth and started to make his way back to the forest, darting past the youngling as his pace sped up.

He slipped into the narrow paths of the cramped neighborhood that were built near the border, with a jump he scampered on top of the walls that separated each backyard from anothers' until he reached a fairly tall tree. Making sure there weren't any passing patrols, Ryou climbed the branches until he reached a small crack on the border wall that could allow his body to fit in and squeezed through.

From there, the fox removed his bell collar and closed his eyes, letting a warmth from his soul take over. Crackles of fire sparks appeared from his fur, instantly turning into flames that swirled around him in colors of the autumn leaves.
He felt his himself getting taller. His paws turned into legs and arms with matching hands and feet that were identical to humans. His coarse fur was melted into skin and a yukata fittingly wrapped around his body. However his ears remained on top his light hair and a set of tails accompanied the only tail he had in his animal form.

Ryou opened his eyes when the warmth faded away. The watch dangled in his mouth as he looked over his appearance and picked up the bell collar once he made sure everything seemed right. Ryou took the watch from his mouth as he placed the bell collar into his sash that worked well as a pocket and stretched his arms, yawning.

"What a day."

Ryou let out a sigh as he repeatedly tossed the watch into the air, catching it with his hand. He cracked his neck and rolled back his shoulders while he started to make his way into the forest, stopping when his ears heard a set of footsteps darting towards his way.

He looked towards the sound and he raised an eyebrow. A masked figure who wore a kimono was darting towards the city, a snowy white tail swished behind the figure and a set of two ears peeked out from the top of the mask let Ryou easily identify who it was.

Ryou stared and stood firm on his spot, waiting till the figure was close enough that he could say,
"Hey Lisa."

Shui Karma

The other's enthusiastic reply took him by surprise as the lad in front of him suddenly blurted out a bunch of words that took him awhile to consume. He blinked with a light frown for a moment as he finally listened to the end, noticing how the fork the lad...Euli was waving had caused quite some attention. However, it didn't take long before his usual smile resumed onto his face, nodding lightly as a respond to Euli and, without much affected by the other's hyper talk, said in his usual, calm manner.

"
My name is Shui," He gave a quick thank you to the pancake and a glass of water that has been brought to him before returning his attention to the lad, remembering how he apologized for getting excited when talking about fashion. "And it's alright, it's nice to see you enjoying what you're talking about."

His mind then thought back to what Euli has said before, how they probably just passed by each other on the streets, and if he's a performer he should wear some brighter, flashier clothings that would suit him instead of the shady ones he's wearing right now and probably get a bigger crowd of audiences too. Although what the other said might be true, Shui has long been used and preferred his current outfit, shady or ugly or not. It's what he feels most comfortable in, and it didn't grab attention. Unlike some people, he didn't like catchy-looking, bright or sparkly clothes that matches the fashion trend or whatsoever. For him who loves peace and quiet he prefers to keep himself out from the flashy style. Besides, he would love for his audience to be lured over by the wonderful music of his lute, rather than from his looks.

With this thought, he only smiled pleasantly to Euli's statements regarding his clothes. "Thank you for your advices, but I prefer keeping myself this way." Cutting the pancake gently before putting it into his mouth, he was also about to reject the invitation to go shopping clothes with him before he seemingly remembered something.

He has yet to visit much stores of Castille, going with Euli might as well give him the chance to view the different aspects of this beautiful city. Besides, his younger brother Shin is probably back in the forest hoping for his return with something new with him. With this idea in mind, he continued,

"
But going shopping with you do sound pleasant. My younger brother back home would love to see some new, wonderful clothes."

Shui looked up then, his green eyes looking into Euli's as he accepted the invitation to go shopping clothes with him.
