Sprinting towards the train Vincent ran into a few people and just thought"Damn stupid crowded well more people to make friends"flashing a smile to himself and saw the train station and started speeding up.Barely sliding threw the doors and huffed and puffed then fixed his red hair and pulled up sagging sweats and laughed in a deep toned voice"Any later and I wouldn't have a seat"he then looked for a open spot for him and his one decently big bag.Finding a spot he placed his bag down on one side and on the other he placed his feet on the empty chair and sat back while looking around"Well first day so I better make friends and fast before I get left out"he sighed and layed his head down"After we get off the train tho"he closed his eyes and waited for him to doze off into the land of dreams

Renae opened her mouth to introduce herself when a plainly dressed boy and fancily dressed girl pulled up on the scene. The pair of them looked like they came from opposite worlds. When they introduced themselves she pointed to each of them in turn, praying she wouldn't forget anyone's name. "Remmy... Egala. "I'm Ren, it's kind of you to offer a seat." As she spoke, Renae followed Egala's gaze. "Oh, that's Charlotte over there." Ren beckoned her over with a wave.

The comment Egala made stuck with her, and Renae found herself replying expansively, "I think if any of us had a problem with potential trouble, we wouldn't have enlisted for Myer's in the first place." A slight blush reached her cheeks as she deplored her own slip of the tongue, quickly covered up by her turning away and poking the unconscious guy. "Hey, uh, maybe you should wake up and introduce yourself."

Krudish came booming down to the train station platform. The crowd parted like the sea before him. Usually he was quite calm, and his face lacked much expression, but below the surface panic swelled. The prospect of being late on his first day was not one he enjoyed. First impressions were important after all, and his orc blood didn't help. Bad first impressions were the reason he was in this mess to begin with. He remembered his trip to the train station. The half orc had decided to walk, so he could enjoy the sites. On his way, he'd encountered a elderly women trying to cross the road. Krudish quickly deduced it shouldn't take him too long to assist her, so he attempted to do so. However, mid way through offering his assistance, he received a whack with a purse to the face. Looking back on it, he probably should have asked before he'd locked arms with her. Perhaps, he'd been a bit too excited. Naturally, the senor's cries for help attracted a lot of unwanted attention, and Krudish had his first experience with law enforcement in this city. Luckily, after talking to him for a bit, he'd been let off with a warning.

He hopped aboard the train causing it to tremble ever so slightly. The light bounced off his glasses as he readjusted them, and he glanced about the train. It seemed he'd managed to gain more unwanted attention. Today is not going well. His face reddened ever so slightly. Krudish was no performer; this many eyes of him made him uncomfortable. Well perhaps I should try to socialize. Now that I have their attention, I may be successful. He approached two students talking to one another and sat in the seats opposite of them. His large mass caused him to take up about half of the seat next to him as well. They weren't exactly designed for a man his size. The students froze and stared at him with a mixture of puzzlement and apprehension. Krudish attempted to smile, but it came off as more of a snarl. "Hello!" He gave a small wave. After some mumbled excuses, both of them quickly excused themselves and changed seats. The half orc sighed. Another failed attempt.

He set his backpack down in the seat beside him. After rummaging through it, he brought out a blank notebook and a pen. He opened it and a began writing. Friendliness is not appreciated. He wrote. It seems a different approach is necessary. Examining other residents could prove useful. And with that he looked around, ready to jot down observations. He was determined to learn the secret of Meld City socialization.

Kale turned around to face the others that joined them and bowed slightly. " I'm Kale Kasuga. A pleasure to properly meet you both. I'm sure she'll appreciate the offer. To answer you, Miss Weatherly, I hope I'll be able to handle the stress any of your hypothetical trouble brings me. Besides, it'll be quite nice to have you along." Kale smiled, then turned out towards the window once more to wave out at the girl, before taking his seat and starting on his book once again.

Luxe's tongue snaked out of his mouth and across his lips as he smelled the freckled girl once again as if trying to catch a small taste of her. His eyes burst wide open as his tongue slipped back between his lips and he sat up, smiling as he looked around. "Hehehe, sorry about that. I didn't mean to be out for so long. Or, not at all, I guess. Um, I'm Luxe everybody! Nice ta meet you. I'm really excited to see what this place is like. I'm sure we'll all learn plenty together, and it'll be a blast!"

Turning to the two new guests in the space, Luxe sniffed the air, and chuckled gently. "Wow, you guys kinda smell familiar. But that's not important, you look really cool, dude. Your hair is awesome! A-and you're very pretty! Actually, you both are. You're both, really, really pretty!" He said, glancing between Freckles and Silver Hair, his new nicknames for the two young women. Shifting his attention to the boy with one good eye, Luxe sniffed once again and cocked his head. "You smell kinda funny. But your hair is cool, too! AND YOU smell pretty normal to me..." He finished, pointing at Kale, who in response looked up from his book for a moment, only to say nothing and move on to the next page.

"I'm feeling kinda hungry..."

It was at this point Merrick had lost all semblance of hope of a not insane train ride to Myer's which was a shame because he'd already sat down and wasn't about to move now that he'd gotten all comfy. So Merrick resolved that there was only one suitable course of action, for he had to do something, something drastic, something... kind of stupid. With his mind made up, Merrick stood up on his seat and whistled loudly.

"Alright you'ins listen up..." He began, his voice, though loud was calm and reminded of the listener of dry leaves. "....I'm Merrick, and by the power vested in me by absolutely no one in particular, I hereby declare that this here train car be reserved for the use of all personnel reporting to Myer's until such time that we arrive at our intended destination. Also this means that I've done the most ridiculous thing today, so remember that when you decide that you sudden;y want to be self conscious or something." With that Merrick promptly dropped back down into his seat and commenced looking intently out of the window, watching the people at the train platform mill about.

 

[Caffeine Freak]

Renae observed Luxe's bizarre behavior with a hint of amusement. "-Hungry? You'd be in luck if you like protein bars. I got plenty of those." She was about to have one herself when a sharp whistle caught her attention, the source being none other than the man she'd seen earlier. Once he'd announced his orders on illegitimate authority, Ren watched, surprised, as the train car began draining of passengers. She raised an eyebrow. "You sure know how to get people moving, Merrick." A keen observation indeed. On the topic of observations, her attention turned to the window. "I think we're nearly there already." Despite herself, Ren could feel her heart rate raise a little.

Egala was shocked by how lively things had already become and they hadn't left the station yet. But more so, the red headed boy was so direct that a faint flush came over her cheeks. "U-um." She took a deep breath to compose herself. "Thank you Luxe." Unable to contain herself, Egala pulled a fan out from one if the hidden pockets of her dress and hid her face behind it.

The loud the loud statement had Egala nearly jump out of her skin and into Remmy as she panicked. "S-sorry." She tried to compose herself, thought right now she was getting overwhelmed by conversation. Not even in her private schools had her classmates been so.....energetic. It was difficult for the girl to keep up.

She stepped away from the group and took her seat once more, fanning herself to calm down. If she became too frantic, her dark little secret would come out and she didn't want people seeing that side of her just yet.

Remmy watched as the liveliness unfolded in front of him, excited to meet everyone. He had engaged in fun and entertaining conversation with the group. But as it went on, he looked to Egala, noticing she was becoming uncomfortable. He was enjoying himself very much, too. It was a shame that Egala couldn't feel the same way.

All of a sudden Remmy watched as she suddenly became flustered and ran off to her seat again. He frowned a bit and felt bad for her. She only wanted to make friends. Was she too shy? Or was it something else. Either way, Remmy decided to go figure out what was wrong. "Hey, it was really nice meeting all of you, Luxe, Kale, Renae, and unconscious dude. When Charlotte boards the train, please tell her she can sit by us." With that, he let out a quick smile and then returned to his seat across from Egala.

"Hey, Ala," Remmy began. He had decided that he would call her Ala from now on. "What's the matter?" He could clearly see that her face was red and she kept fanning herself. "If you're that hot you should probably change into something else." He looked at Egala with worry for her. She didn't seem very well.

Luka rushed out of his house with his small duffel bag in his had, knowing that if he didn't hurry up he would miss the train. "This isn't gonna be good!" he said as he began panting. "If I miss the train Mom is gonna be really angry! I need to find a shortcut to the station and fast!" Luka then passed an alleyway and stopped he then made a mischievous grin. He then ran into the alleyway jumping over bags if garbage, hopping off of big trash cans, climbing and swinging off of fire escape ladders. As soon as Luka reached the end of the alleyway he realized that he was only a block away from the station. "Oh yeah!" he shouted.

Luka ran to the train station and slowly began to run faster. He dashed up the stairs and maneuvered through the crowd of people. Luka noticed that the doors were still open and managed to get in. Once Luka made it inside he tripped. "Crap..." He said silently. He then fell and rolled to the end of the cart hitting a wall. Head on the floor, back against a wall he looked up at everyone then spoke in a bubbly yet embarrassed tone, "Yo!" He then got up and sat in an empty seat next to a window. "Well there goes a first impression." he mumbled to himself as he looked out the window.

"You're welcome! Feel free to talk to me, anytime!" Luxe waved as Ealga walked off, before turning towards Ren and sticking his hands out with an expectant gleam in his eyes. "I'd really love some protein bars! Yes please, and thank you!"

Luxe watched as the one-eyed man stood up and made his announcement and curled up on his seat once again, getting comfortable for the ride, only to be surprised by the newcomer rolling in.

"Get a load of this joker! Are ya sure you're taking this seriously, buddy? This is kinda a big deal, ya know?"

Egala took a deep breath as Remmy came over. "Ala? Is that some sort of nickname?" Egala felt it fit her other side a bit more. Short direct, somewhat cute, things that Egala herself felt she was severely lacking. Especially from the way her mother acted. "I'm not hot, just thoroughly embarrassed. I'm not used to being called pretty or being up against a male. Though you seemed not to notice, which was a blessing in and of itself." Egala's composure was still managing to hold as she spoke. Even she was surprised that she was able to formulate a sentence let alone a decent conversation. "Plus the man over there startled me when he called out. It was like hearing a crack of thunder in the middle of broad daylight." She huffed a bit as she continued to fan herself. She wasn't strong like Ala, as she was going to call her other half, nor was she all that confident in herself. She was taught by many, but not one ever told her she did a good job There was always something to improve on, never once was it good enough. "Anyways, I'll be fine just as soon as I calm down. I just need a moment to catch my breath."

"Attention all passengers, the train will be leaving soon. I repeat, the train will be leaving soon. Please prepare and put away all bags and luggages in the appropriate areas. No items in the walkway please. Thank you."

Vega sighed as the armored car pulled up to the train station incredibly late. "Who the hell runs over an old lady in the middle of broad daylight?! If you're going to do that at LEAST wait til nightfall." He grumbled while his "mother" pinched his cheek to chastise him for his out of place comment. Luckily for the boy his mom was the only one in the car with him. "What did I say?"

"Vega, do you understand what happens if my bosses deem you a threat? You need to try and watch what you say around others. I can't protect you if you aren't willing to protect yourself." Dr. Talion locked her green eyes onto her son's. "Do you understand me? You can't talk like that while at school." A few large men in suits opened the door. "It's time to go sweetheart. I wish you the best of luck."

"Thanks mom." Vega hugged Maria before stepping out to the guards. "Yo Vick, Terry, how're the kids?" He spoke to the two on either side of him as if they were his pals, though they both seemed irritated by the teen's presence. "Not talking today? Guess I'll just have to go stir up some trouble then." He snickered as he slipped past them only to have his hood grabbed firmly. "Seriously? Can't you two take a joke?" Vega sighed as he didn't try to resist. "Fine, fine, escort me to my seat." Vega grumbled as two more men surrounded him and walked him into the car. There were definitely quite a few people that he wanted to talk to from what he could see. A woman with wings on her own, a freckled girl, some prissy looking rich chick, the tough guy with the one eye or the chick in the heavy clothes. But when he was sat down in front of an orc, Vega felt a little upset.

"Orc, you are to watch this kid until the train arrives. Do NOT let him leave your sight for a minute." Terry, a large human barked the order as if the boy would listen without question. "Your cooperation is appreciated." He spoke again without giving the orc time to respond. And with that the four left Vega with the man who seemed to be watching the others as well.

Remmy leaned back in his seat. "Did you not like the name? I think it suits you." He folded his hands in his lap and crossed his legs. Next, he closed his eyes. "Anyway, just try to calm down. I already don't like seeing you all flustered. It makes me feel bad." He let out a deep breath. Remmy was already exhausted, mainly from his jog that he took in the morning, but also from the excitement that had already unfolded. The warm weather also made him drowsy. Then he heard the announcement over the speakers talking about the train departing. "Sounds like we're about to leave. I'll probably fall asleep soon. Moving vehicles make me sleepy. Don't mind if I catch some Zs." With that said, he was already fast asleep.

Merrick's face split into a wide sinister grin at the remark from the redheaded boy, showing off a few gold teeth near the right side of his face.

"Young man... I implore you to understand, that there is not a single thing in the world I take more seriously than reclaiming what's mine. I'm not attending Myer's as an opportunity to make a name for myself, or so i can defend the weak, or even to bring honor to my family's name. I simply want what the collective has taken from me, and they agreed to give it back if I graduate from gear school."

Merrick sounded...intense as he spoke not necessarily mad but there was a great deal of desire behind the tone of his voice. After his brief 'outburst', Merrick sighed heavily, he looked ever so slightly down trodden and his voice was almost apologetic as he spoke again.

"Dammit, kid now you've gone an made me make an ass of myself... except it wasn't on my own terms. Just pretend like I didn't say anything, sorry for my rudeness everyone."

Waking up from the announcements of the train Vincent clinched his teeth and sighed"Not like I wanted to sleep anyway"he then got up and looked around and noticed a redheaded boy and petted himself"Damn he almost rocks the hair as good as me"and shot a quick thumbs up at him then noticed a tall orc looking fellow and walked over there and sat down next to him and compared each others height"Damn your super tall your an orc right well my name is Vincent or Vinny or whatever nickname you wanna call me"he shot a smile and then noticed the mischievous looking dude on the other side of the seats"Yo I'm Vincent or Vinny and y'know the rest so where ya from"almost smiling ear to ear with shining white teeth.

[My post didn't submit last night. I want to die.]

Renae began sketching in her notebook, wishing she brought a book like Kale. Despite her focus, she couldn't help overhearing Remmy and Egala. One was laid back and one was always on edge - it was a wonder they seemed to get on together. Her unorthodox eavesdropping led her onto Merrick's and Luxe's exchange, which she couldn't help remarking on. "The collective? Sounds sinister." She gave him a curious look, while tossing Luxe a protein bar. "I guess we're all getting something out of this place."

Judging by the announcement, the train was obviously going to depart in a few moments time. Renae popped in her earbuds and sat back in her chair, not wanting to pass up a chance at seeing some city scenery.

Krudish took notes. Socializing seemed practically second nature to the other people here. Some just spoke casually; others spoke in a more friendly manner; a man with a hazy white eye shouted out at random and still managed to receive somewhat positive responses. These were all methods Krudish had tried and failed with. Even the slumbering boy is more popular than I. He paused and thought for a moment. Perhaps I should try his resting method. He dismissed the thought with a shake of his head. No, I doubt that will prove successful. Despite his large size, his existence had hardly been noticed. He couldn't blame them. Most don't expect to have an intelligent or friendly conversation with an orc. It seems nothing has changed. He sighed. While it wasn't his number one priority, he had deduced that having friends who also have gear licenses could prove useful.

To his surprise, he soon found himself approached by not one but three people. To be exact, two of them were men whom he could only assume were escorting their son. He was then ordered to watch the boy leaving Krudish in bewilderment. "Actually, I'm a half o-" He began to correct, but he stopped when he realized they had no interest in what he had to say. He furrowed his brows. How rude. Then he turned his attention to the boy. The guy didn't exactly look like a good student or even a good citizen for that matter, but he knew better then to judge a book by its cover. "Unless it is customary here to leave your child in the care of a stranger, I believe there's been a mistake. I'm simply on this train to attend my classes not babysit." His deep voice stated rather flatly. Before the rebellious looking one could answer, another person approached them drawing the half orc's attention.

It seemed once again he'd been mistaken for a full blooded orc. He had to admit it was an easy mistake to make for those unfamiliar to his kind. Krudish found himself adjusting his glasses once again. "A half orc to be precise. The full blooded orcs of my tribe are actually noticeably large than me." He informed. Realizing he'd practically ignored the guy's introduction so he could address a nitpick, Krudish reddened slightly and scratched his face. "Where are my manners? It's a pleasure to meet you, Vincent. I am Krudish Bloodyhill the Pageturner. Just Krudish will do." He articulated each word carefully. He wanted to dispel any stigmas his classmates may have had against his race as quickly as possible.

Vega looked at the boy who seemed more annoyed by the announcement that they were leaving the station than excited. Someone else that didn't want to go to Myra's? Doubtful. "Well, Krudish and Vinny, my name is Vega. And they weren't dropping me off to babysat. Nor where those my parents. They were security guards in charge of making sure I didn't destroy anything between home and this train. They figure that the teachers at Myra will keep me in check."

Vega sighed as he stood up and rubbed his right arm. Nix wanted to be summoned, but bringing out a haze wolf on the train would be a serious problem. Vega liked trouble, not brawls, there was a huge difference. "They chose you to watch me because they assumed you'd be the strong and brutish kind of orc-kin that would be able to lock me down if I did something dangerous."

Unable to stop the itch on his right arm Vega cleared his throat. "Excuse me for a moment." Walking over to a clear booth, Vega started to focus. The black ink on his right arm began to roll down looking much like black blood before it began to pool at his feet. Vega was a bit worried how the others would react, but this was his closest companion and one that he basicall did everything with.

While these thoughts crossed his mind the pool began to bubble and boil as slowly but surely, the haze wolf pulled itself out of the ooze. Excited to see Nix when she finally appeared Vega pet the beast's head with a smile. "Good girl Nix." He smiled but looked cautiously around at everyone. A fairly large wild animal just appeared in the car out of nowhere. How would they respond?

Luka heard the announcement and realized that he still had his duffel bag in his hands. Luka quickly got up and put his bag where it belonged but, before he could sit back down he saw a boy with various tattoos on his body walking by. Curious, Luka tiptoed to see what he was doing then mumbled to himself, "He seems interesting..."

To Luka's surprise he saw one of the tattoos roll off of the boy's right arm and formed a wolf. Luka's eyes widened and he began to smile, "That's so cool!", Luka then walked over to the boy. Once Luka got to the boy he introduced himself gleefull, "Hi there my name is Luka, Luka Akizuki!". Luka then looked at the wolf and smiled, "Does it bite?"

Departure onto a new journey
An announcement would play after some time had passed. "Ladies and gentlemen thank you for your cooperation. The train heading for Myer's Gear School is departing now. Please head back to your seats if you have not done so already. Thank you."

The train would then start moving until it picked up at very high speeds. It would take roughly 10-20 minutes for the train to arrive at Myer's Gear School. The school was very clean in design. The color white helps set the modern science feel as well as give a sense of cleanliness. Soon the doors would open with an announcement playing once more.

"We have arrived at: Myer's Gear School. Please grab your things and make way in a single file line."

One by one, students would line up and head on towards the front of the school. There was very large courtyard in front of the school with a beautiful large circle garden in the center. Among the gathering students would be staff members who would give them directions.

"All new students please make way to the arena! Orientation will be held there! Please follow the staff in a neat and fashionable line."

Myer's Gear School! For those that haven't done an intro post do not fret! All of your characters will be on the train so you can post from there. All you have to do is post about arriving and following staff.

The appearance of another had Nix on edge. The black haze already starting to flow from her pores as she lowered her ears. A single haze wolf wouldn't normally be too dangerous, but inside a closed space, the haze could EASILY fill the room. "Easy Nix, don-" His words were cut off by the announcement that they were leaving. He couldn't exactly return to his seat with a haze wolf so Vega sat down and watched as the wolf that was longer than he was tall curled up and rested her head upon his lap, falling asleep quickly. "SHE doesn't know a lot of people besides me or my "mother". So I wouldn't try petting her yet. Nix may be my pet, but she's still a wild animal. Are you unfamiliar with haze wolves?" Vega was still needing to NOT get in trouble while the agents responsible for him were near. Otherwise, he may have let this Luka kid try and pet Nix only to get a nasty bite. "My name's Vega, by the way." He spoke calmly as the train rolled out and soon they were already at the school.

"Finally free!" As soon as the doors opened, Vegan and Nix were outside. At first some of the other students panicked at the sight of the wolf and Nix looked particularly irritable, but a quick word from Vega had the wolf wagging her tail and trailing along at his side. "So this is Myra's huh?" Vega grinned as he rubbed his hands together. "I can SO have some fun here." He chuckled as the wolf puffed out a burst of black mist around them in her excitement. "Yeah." He nodded as if he and Nix were on the same wavelength. They quickly were heading up the group going to the arena. It may have been an order, but an arena meant ACTION!



Egala had already calmed down by the time that the announcement of departure happened, her fan stored away in the hidden pocket once more. The scenery had vanished in the blink of an eye and what felt like as soon as they left, they appeared at the school. "Remmy, we've arrived. You may want to wake up." The girl gently nudged her companion as she stood. "Could you be a dear and get my bag down, I fear I would get hurt." She wore a sheepish smile as she took the bag form him. "Thank you." She turned on her heel and slowly walked out the door into the early morning sun. "It's still too bright." She sighed as she opened her umbrella, covering herself in the shade. "Much better." Looking back over her shoulder Egala wanted to either speak with that girl Charlotte or Remmy. Something about someone else avoiding the sun or a familiar face that was entirely relaxed would make travel easier. She stood just at the entrance, allowing others to pass her by as she waited.

Vincent smiled and then twisted it into a sinister grin and got up"Well I guess we gotta go KD.....hehe KD good nickname right like Vinny but I got things to do right now so see ya around KD"he then rushed off outside and grabbed his bag and noticed the beautiful sight beholding him but was moving to fast and rushed past it heading straight towards the arena noticing a guy and a wolf rushing just like him and sprinted past them quickly mouthing"Cool wolf bro"then continued to head up the pathway speeding down the way and finally reaching the end he stopped and sat down to catch his breath"Damn thank god I have the stamina of a raging bull"he grinned to himself and looked at the students who were slowly walking towards the arena"Slowpokes"he yelled sarcastically.

Remmy woke up instantly after Egala nudged him. He normally slept incredibly heavily, but his excitement kept him awake. He grabbed her bag for her and said, "Here you go!" He followed her out the door and into the light. "So warm. Perfect for another nap." But he wouldn't take one just yet. Instead he would accompany Egala as she seemed she would need it. Not that she couldn't live on her own, but Remmy thought it would be best to help her with introductions and such. After stretching, he walked over by Egala, noticing her parasol. "Hey, it's not that hot out," he teased. "Take this as an opportunity for a tan!" He chuckled.

Luka was worried a bit by the haze wolf's black haze, he questioned what it could do in his mind. Luka then heard the announcement but, wanted to apologize before heading back to his seat. "Oh, I'm so sorry I should have known better. And I'm not familiar with haze wolfs at all." Luka put his right hand behind his head and smiled.

Once the train stopped he dashed to his seat and grabbed his bag. Luka began to walk out the train and admired the scenery of the school. "This place doesn't lack when it comes to visuals." Luka then put the strap of his duffel bag on his shoulder and with his feminine walk, began to head towards the arena. "Out of all the places to hold orientation why the arena?" Luka asked himself. He then sighed, took his pendant out of his pocket, and held it in his hands, "Hopefully I don't embarrass myself." Luka then tied his pendant around his neck and continued to walk.
