Living Quarters
The students would eventually be led to the living quarters. It looked to be similar to a fancy hotel. It was at least 10 floors high and was about 20 rooms wide.

One staff member would speak up.

"This is where you'll be staying in the meantime. Each room is a standard room with a bed, desk, closet and personal bathroom for your own needs. Now head on inside and collect your room key. From there the elevators/stairs can be taken. You can ask the many bellboys to help take your luggage up."

Many students started to enter the hotel in different lines.

You can head to your room. Everyone stays in one room so remember that. There are a total of 20 floors with each floor containing about 20 rooms.

Xyanus's smile started to fade once everyone started coming to the teachers aid. They were too soft, but she supposed that was everyone in this world. She looked at the scarred one whose name was... Marris? Marry? "Thank you for the compliment, you may call me a dream demon if you wish." She then slithered behind him with unnatural speed. "and you smell of dead skin and nauseating medicine, shall we trade?" She playfully hugged him from behind but quickly let go once the green dead thing responded to her. "I don't have a problem with anyone" She said playfully and used her wings to spin a around to him and used the little swirling action to make her wings disappear into her. "i am simply a curious creature" She then walked back to where she was before. The people here are no fun, too nice, I wonder if i can change that.

She was one of the first to go inside the living quarters and quickly went for the room key for the highest room possible, some of the bellboys went to help her until she said "I don't help from you" not like she was carrying anything always. She walked to the stairs, she wasnt going to be stuck in a box full of those students. she then used tentacles to quickly ascend the stairs and in a few seconds she was already at the top, walking to her room she opened it only to find a plain looking room. "this is, a lot less, less." she muttered to herself before going inside and closing the door behind her. this place was definitely going to need a makeover

Renae waved to the others she had been walking with as she collected her room key. "At least there's no thirteenth floor." She muttered, tapping in her floor number at the elevator when she reached it. Luckily, her room floor was low enough that she wasn't cramped up in the elevator for too long, although she made a note to take the stairs next time anyway.

The room inside was, to her continued dismay, much bigger than her apartment - even if it was just for one person. Sighing, Renae slung her pack down by her bed - beginning to sort clothes, equipment, and tools into the provided drawers. After that, Ren began surveying the room. The walls seemed thick enough to prevent eavesdropping, but whenever they were proofed against supernatural senses was in question. Despite herself, Renae couldn't help but smile. New acquaintances, new school, new living space. Everything was going even better than she expected.

Luka managed to get his room key rather quickly. To his luck he managed to get a room that was not too high but not to low either. Out of excitement, Luka maneuvered through the stairs swiftly and unlocked his door. "This is...amazing!" Luka shouted with glee as he jumped towards the bed.

Luka grabed his duffel bag and began taking out his clothing and puting them in the closet that was provided. Luka then began to examine the room, feeling the material of the wall and desk, and examined the bathroom. Luka the throw himself on the bed and smiled. "This room is perfect, it's bigger than my room at home." He said happily. Luka the turned to his side and lied there in peace.

Merrick watch the succubus ascend the stairway in her unnerving manner shuddering briefly as she left his sight.

Good riddance.

He thought, mounting the opposing staircase. Merrick didn't pick up his room key, he already had it, though he did make it a point to give every bellboy he passed the most hateful glare he could muster. Merrick liked the nosy dorm staff less than he like the instructors, at least they minded their own business. After much stair climbing, Merrick reached the mostly empty nineteenth floor and entered through the first door on his left breathing a heavy sigh of relief. After everything he'd gone through in the last year and after what he'd lost, there were worse things in the world than having your own room for once.

Merrick sat down at his desk and opened a small pill bottle pouring a brightly colored gummy chew. He smirked slightly to himself as he ate it.

Trade, yeah right.

Since he was created, Merrick has been on a strange medication regimen consisting of lead, barium, arsenic, and ethyl alcohol, the mixture is designed to maintain his blood toxicity high, which in his case prevents illness.

Walking into the dorm he sighed and scratched his head"Fancy but not really fancy enough for me"he thought to himself.Then walking over to grab his key he noticed the others quickly disappeared into their rooms and smirked"Well hope no one gets the one I want or else"he laughed devilishly while walking to the stairs probably scaring most of the bellboys there.After going to the top floor and then sliding two stories down on the pole(just because)and going back up again Vincent finally made it to his room closed the door and smiled.In about 12 seconds of realizing nobody was there Vincent was already doing to much,he had his game console set up and was already blasting music with his shirt off.He shrugged and smiled to himself"Ain't no place like home"he yelled while playing FFXV.

Egala was thankful for the elevator as hauling her bag up stairs would've been quite the problem. However, having her room on the second floor was also a blessing. Thankfully no need to walk too much. She thought to herself as she squeezed in with the rest of the crowd. The minute the door closed though she felt tense. There were strangers pressed up against her and although she knew they weren't trying to hurt her, she felt nervous. Could they sense what her father was? What SHE was? The nervousness was getting to her until the door opened and she fought her way through to the door. Her breathing calming as she could feel her other self wanting out. "No need for you to come out. I wasn't in danger." Egala muttered to herself as she took a few more deep breaths and entered into her room. It was quaint and after unloading the large number of dresses, make up, accessories, and shoes did she finally sit down on the bed. "So now a new life begins...."


Vega, without much in the way of stuff, climbed up to the fourth floor where he'd been assigned to live. "Cool, I can still manage to jump out the window and be fine." He chuckled as he opened the door with Nix walking in right behind him. "Okay, so the room's not THAT bad. Though I'd prefer the window being a bit bigger." Vega was half tempted to just have Nix smash open the wall, but thinking about getting expelled for something THAT stupid was enough to stop him. "Mom's risking a lot for us to come here. Guess I can behave for a day or two." Vega spoke to Nix whom howled in agreement. The pair quickly got into their bed, making a mess of it, and went off to sleep.

After having some time moving in, there would be an announcement playing via intercom.

"Attention all new students, please head to the main building. Your first class will begin in about 15 minutes and will take place at A-5. I repeat class will begin in about 15 minutes at classroom A-5."

Leaving the orc and the green man, he went toward the dorms and was kind of amazed by the place. "Holy pie of cream!... Wasn't a school dorm is normally worse than home ? Even if in my case i slept rarely at home."
He thought before nodding with a smile at a guard who gave him a key toward his dorms, which was one of the highest floor. He went toward the elevators with only himself. Seems like other students wanted to climb the stairs, but to be honest, Michael was enjoying this journey, it was almost like some of his past vacations. Entering into his room, he put all of his unecessary stuff on the bed as an announcement was made. The bed was looking so soft that he could slept in it, but he didn't had the time. But he quickly remembered that he had to succeed in order to obtained his license and soon dismissed the idea of being in vacation. He already saw some students who could be potentially dangerous, causing trouble around, thus he prepared himself for the worse to came. Taking back the elevators, his room now closed, the key inside his jacket. Back to the lower floor, he walked in the main building's direction.

Reaching the so place called A-5, Michael was the first there, or maybe not if the staffs was counted.

Luka was ready to fall asleep until he heard the announcement. "What impeccable timing." he said as he got up felling a bit annoyed. Luka then exited his dorm, locked the door behind him, and took the elevator to the first floor and exited the living quarters. Luka wanted to be one of the first students to get to A-5 to impress the staff. Luka then noticed that the other students were exiting the living quarters as well. He then grinned as he came up with a plan. Luka then blushed a bit, "Its kinda hot isn't it," he said with a seductive voice was he seductively took of his sweater showing his small feminine body in nothing but a tank top and jean shorts, "I hope no one is staring." Managing to grab the attention of and stopping some boys in the front of the horde of student, he smiled and tied his sweater around his waist, "Fell for it!" he shouted happily as he rushed off. Luka felt a bit blessed to have his feminine looks and voice, they always came in handy when needed.

After jumping over and sliding under benches, jumping off of ledges, and watching if anyone was behind him he finally made it to A-5, only to be the second student there. "Well second isn't too bad." He said as he was panting form all the running. Luka then looked over at the guy, "Never seen him around here," he mumbled to himself, "granted, this is the first day.". Luka then walked up to the guy and introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Luka what's yours?"

Merrick stood quietly in the elevator as it made it's lengthy trip from the eighteenth floor to the lobby, his finger firmly holding down the door close button so as not to risk company in his ride down. Once he finally reached the lobby he strode wordlessly across the lobby, giving the receptionist the finger as he left the dorm complex. He saw one of his classmates a good distance ahead of him as he made his way across the grounds towards the schoolhouse. Merrick entered A-5 classroom to find two other students having a conversation, he silently held up the peace sign as he took the desk nearest the door, and promptly pulled out a novel he'd been putting of for some time.

"Should've known we wouldn't be able to sleep in on our first day." Ren tutted, losing the casual clothes in favor of something more maneuverable. Within the minute, she was out the door and down the stairs, heading off toward A-5. Just before she made it to the lobby, however, Renae noticed her shoelace had come loose. After retying it, her delay had kept her long enough to see Merrick giving the receptionist a rather vulgar gesture. Rolling her eyes, she briskly followed after him.

The A-5 classroom wasn't far after that, and with minutes to spare, Ren decided to pass the remaining time with her phone's music library.

Egala was thankful that the school wasn't going to give her time to wallow within her own fears and worries. She stood upon the announcement of class, grabbed her key, and went off towards the stairs. The elevator wasn't going to happen so long as there were crowds of people. She went down the two flights of stairs and out to see a few other students heading the same way. Opening up her umbrella to shield herself from the sun, Egala walked with grace and dignity while ignoring several of the stares from other classmates. Occasional whispers asking why someone that looked so rich would be attending Myra's of all schools assailed her ears and made the girl even MORE conscientious of her background. Her mother was a wealthy business woman, her father lived in the Asure Kingdom. Those two things would ALONE make her be a target for ridicule and scorn. She didn't want to have to face such treatment and quietly entered into the building, closing up her umbrella and heading to room A-5.

Within the room, Egala was a bit surprised by the generic nature of the desks and chairs. That's right, this isn't my private school or personal lessons anymore. The chairs won't exactly be the most comfortable or tailored for my needs. Keeping her composure so as to not show her distaste for the chairs, Egala found one in a front corner and sat down quietly. She set her hands into her lap and looked about at the other students mingling. It was rather quaint to see normal interactions between people.


Vega and Nix both stirred with irritation at the announcement. "Seriously! I JUST fell asleep!" He growled while Nix climbed out of bed and stretched. It seemed the cat-nap was enough for her. "Lucky wolf." He muttered under his breath as he climbed onto her back, something he did quite often. "Can you track the smell of that kid from the train? I bet anything he was a first year and will be in the same room as us." Vega spoke through a yawn as he closed his eyes on her back. Nix barked in acknowledgement and carried the boy down to the lobby before tracking the boy's smell. It seemed odd to many that Vega was asleep on a Haze Wolf's back being carried to the building. Soon enough the pair were there with a couple of minutes to spare. Nix nibbled at Vega's fingers slowly waking the boy from his slumber. "Here already? Guess I have to focus now." He grumbled as he slid into the nearest chair, Nix curling up at his feet, though she did still stick out in the aisles a bit.

Xyanus was about to get busy and work her room into something livable until she realized her stuff isnt here yet. So instead she jumped on bed thinking about what she'll do on her off time but then the intercom came on telling everyone to go to some room. "Already?" She was just getting comfortable! Sighing she got up, opened the window and jumped out. On her decent she opened up her wings and glided down to the ground then made her way to the building. Upon entering she followed a few students from before to the room and made her way to the center seats and lazily threw herself on down. She was bored, and she wanted this to be fast.

While he was going to searched for desk and chair, an unexpected person attracted his attention. Someone that was wearing almost nothing approached him as she told her name. "Luka ain't a boy name ? Well, not anymore i guess." He thought before answering with his usual grinning face. "Call me Lunar, i don't like my name at all. Luka sounds good, welcome to my class." He said jokingly while he was the only one here. Noticing the exhaustion, he asked while looking at her. "Why are you seemingly exhaust by the way, did you ran ? You are excited like me ? I never went to school until today."

Try as he might, couldn't ignore the boy named Lunar's claim that he'd never been to school before. Since being legitimized as a sentient being Merrick had always assumed that he was behind the power curve in terms of formal education, he began to suspect that there was a possibility that he was not singular in his life experiences.

"You say you've never been to school before, either?" Merrick began, his curiosity get the best of him. "Like, any school or just here?"

It was an unlikely chance that this boy had spent his days as a living science experiment, but Merrick was the closest he'd ever been to exited at the fact that someone just might have life experience similar to his.

Glancing at a boy who he remembered, the boy asked him something. "I didn't not even know what was a school a month ago. I only knew that there was a place for the young to study. I was quite surprise to be accepted here." For a moment, he looked at a window before looking back at the boy, his lil smile still there. "I studied by myself with some books and other stuffs there and there with spare time. I travelled a lot before because of life risks opportunities."

Luka giggled at Lunar's remark, the class was a little empty. When questioned about being out of breath he answered with a smile, "Well, I was trying to get here first but, you beat me to it." Luka found it odd that Lunar had neher gone to school but didn't question it. "I've been to school before just not a school like this one." he said happily. Luka then looked at the other guy who seemed to be blind from one eye. "You seem like a very interesting person, My name's Luka by the way."

Luxe ran down the hallway, smiling and waving to people as he made his way to the classroom that had been announced earlier. He had fallen asleep for awhile, and the sound of the p.a. system snapped him out of it...for a few seconds. Luxe took the opportunity for a power nap, and then made a full dash for Room A-5.

Opening the door, Luxe walked in and made an expression of surprise at how few people were actually present. Rubbing the back of his head, he laughed to himself, happy that he managed to make it there on time, relatively. Scanning the room, Luxe noted a few familiar faces and made the decision to approach one.

"Is this seat taken?" Luxe asked Renae, leaning into her view with a smile on his face. He stood up straight and followed up with a wave. "Hello again! Did you have fun moving in?

Across the room, Kale sat down himself, book in hand and fingers tracing the next page.He'd changed out of his jacket, wearing a sweater vest atop his shirt. Before Kale continued to read, however, he glanced up to see Egala sitting beside him. He remembered speaking with her on the train for a moment or so, with her companion. He didn't see him there at the moment, however. The young woman seemed to be somewhat uncomfortable, but whether the two had any correlation was unknown. Putting on his best smile, Kale turned towards Egala, framing her face between his fingers.

"I spy with my little eye a somewhat unhappy camper. First day jitters?"​

"Nope, it's all yours." Renae slid her earbuds back into her pocket. "The rooms are great, I think I just have some loud neighbors." She leant back in her seat. "Do you know anything about this class? I'm pretty eager to begin but they still haven't told us what it's all about." Indeed, most everybody else looked just as nervous as she did - unsure of what to expect.

"Perhaps the school is running short on actual qualified people" She said without looking behind her in a condescending voice. "or perhaps there was a mix up between applications, or there is an entrance exam we all have to take. Doubtful seeing how they already showed us our rooms." This time she was curious but shook the feeling away. "i doubt the girl thing," She pointed at luka "Would've passed it without some sort of external intervention. or the walking medical clinic who seems to be crippled." She looked behind her and smiled at the trio who were having the conversation. "And that halfling looks like he belongs in a boy band playing bass writing a biography about how his life went up to shit cause of something he did."

Luka looked at the girl who was insulting and doubting the trio and smirked. "You sure have a mouth you freak of nature." Luka said with an angry tone. Luka then walked up to the demonic girl and slammed one fist on her desk, "It would be a shame if something happened to a pretty face like yours." Luka then removed his hand from the desk and backed off a bit, "You're so lucky that we can't use our weapons on each other," he then pointed at his pendant that was tied around his neck, "I would have smashed you to pieces."

Merrick continued to stare intently, almost suspiciously at Lunar.

"Are you a manufactured being too?" he asked slowly and purposefully...

Alas, Merrick could not keep his focus fixed as he waited for an answer, for his new favorite succubus (also tied for most hated since she's the only one he knows) had; gone and done that thing where I have to tell you to shut the fuck up in the most creative way possible. Secretly, things like this were one of Merrick's favorite things. He had one hell of a chip on his shoulder, maybe it was unjustified, maybe he should just be glad to be alive and under the care of the collective, but then he remembers things like other people and their inability to comprehend his life and experiences. Merrick has deeply ruminated on his station in life and ultimately he was glad to be alive, and he probably shouldn't have such a poor attitude towards others...but also fuck em'

Merrick swung around to scowl at the succubus, his lip pulled up and his gazed fixed on her right temple. This was to be his magnum opus of litanies

"Money and sulfur, ladies and gentlemen there she is. Look, just because we all weren't born with a silver cock in our mouths doesn't mean we're not qualified to be here, just like your daddy writing strongly worded letters to the school in order to ensure your acceptance doesn't some how make you more qualified oh, but wait. Also you may not know this but I've wielded a gear before, for over a decade in fact, so now how much more qualified does that make me now, or does it only matter if you're rich..." Merrick briefly pointed to Egala, while still keeping his gaze toward his opponent. "...and yes I know that applies to you too, but I'm not pissed at you specifically... yet. Anyway, shut the hell up, just be glad you didn't have to route. fucking. paperwork in order to have the right to life. God dammit did that feel good... in retrospect I suppose I should've asked your name before I hit you with all that, but maybe you and I can both learn how the fuck to act in public."

Merrick then briefly addressed Luka.

"Easy on the threats of bodily harm there killer, she's just a cephalopod who wears too much makeup anyway. Best not to make people think you're some kind of tough guy over it."

Lunar understood it now as he listened to the last sentence. Maybe that guy was hoping that another student like the green man would be there, but unfortunately all he did was murderous acts over the past. While having this intriguing conversation, a succubus had to take part in sowing discord. Lunar sighed before smirking back. Then, Luka and Merrick took part in. He listened to each of their statements, not showing other emotions apart his constant smirked. He glanced over her with a slight disdained, because she was a race of demon he was particuliary hating. "That's not fine. If i would be a bass player, people would be scared from my face. And if you say that the path i took was a mistake, you're wrong. I was able to eradicate mistakes like you after all. No salts involved by the way." Usually, he would just have let the comment slided away. But saying that his life went bad wasn't his thought. He felt alive through it. But still, he wasn't really angry at this remark, but he felt tensions between Merrick and the Succubus, and also Luka. Lunar found it quite funny that the teacher was late on the first day. It wasn't helping the climate in the class at all.

She stared straight at his eyes until medicine spoke up with amusing dialogue. "so you admit to having possession of a gear without a license? My, my, i wonder if it was a better experience than having a plastic dildo feeding you plastered shit for you to consume? your throat must be quite wide for it to go all the way down, there. Or was it a wooden dildo going through your ass and up your mouth so the witch doctors kept your body upright?" She was quite enjoying this little exchange of words she could tell the others were too. "Don't stop the little bitch, im sure shes just going through her monthly period. A doggy treat will be enough to calm her." eyes shifting toward the dog. But then another dog spoke up about her, the halfling. "but your face is so lovably dashing! i bet all the underage girls would fall over for you!" Xyanus put both hands on her cheeks, widening her smile a little more. "ah, tell me more about how you eradicate the little wisps 'without salt' my little halfling, im sure this is a tale for all of us to enjoy and gasp about how brave you are and fangirl about your amazing past" Her voice was sarcastic as sarcastic can get but she was also genuinely curious, she wasnt dying to know but class was supposed to start a while ago and the teacher isnt here so why not? It wasnt like she could go to the movie theater any time soon, and making people fight for her amusment would just slow down the teacher even more, and she wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.
