AH!? Something I forgot to mention... So we're all gonna be in the same world.... and demons and magic (obviously due to the tags) exist. My summoner is part of a demon hunting school so you can become a demon hunter, or a normal mage. or something along those lines. I'm a bit scatterbrained so if anything comes up that i never mentioned, please point it out to me. Sorry!

Kota could feel the pull of magic energy tugging at his soul. His memories were also returning so quickly that his head began to ache. The first emotion he felt was bitterness, mostly toward humans. They had praised and welcomed him back from every mission with open arms, only to discover his heritage at the wars end execute him simply for existing. He would change that. He would show them the rage of the spurned, and exact vengeance for everything they took from him. He could begin to see the outline of his summoner...

Ashara knew she was going to die here. She would be an idiot to think that there was any hope of rescue. Her cursed bad luck had caused her foot to catch a root, twisting her ankle sharply. And now she was surrounded by these creatures... "Don't... screw with me... I worked so hard. I gave everything I had! Not yet! I can't die yet! I won't die here!!" She took a deep breath, and with all of her soul she cried out, "I DON'T WANT TO DIE HERE!!"

Kaiya was in a position that no one really wanted to be in and that was with her running away from a pack of the monsters at her tail and she skidded to a halt when she hit the edge of a cliff. She turned around to face whatever was behind her and she reached into her quiver to find nothing. "Well this is not looking very good right now." She took note of her heavy breathing and her tiredness thanks to her running away for so long and using her ability only for it to not matter. She took a step backward and she turned and looked down when she heard pebbles falling behind her and that she was closer to the edge than she had thought. She closed her eyes and she thought back to when her parents were still alive,they had told her of a tale that if you are ever in a tough spot then pray and someone might come but she didn't have much of an option at this point. "Someone,anyone, please help me." Kaiya opened her eyes and watched the monsters come closer to her and she yelled out with everything she had,"THIS CAN'T BE THE END!"

Sleeping soundly in spirit Lakyta had been this way...for what felt like centuries at this point, something she hated, she wanted to open her eyes but she was dead and she knew it, probably in hell if being so constantly trapped was any indication. It was sudden, out of no where a scream snapped her soul to awakening. She had to make it to the side of whoever had screamed like that, the brilliant light blinded her just as her eyes were opening, memories flooding back, she was pulled through the light, blinded for a moment but she instinctively knew there was danger. Her eyes glowed a bright red, whatever these creatures were they were just within her range, the dark skinned girl smiled suddenly as a ring of silver slowly rose and circled around her, then spiked out in every direction while circling. A glance over her shoulder told her this was the person who called her, being protected for now she kneeled down elegantly, the sheer shaw covering her head jingling with sapphire jewels as she bowed in front of the girl who's soul had cried for help. "Hello, how do you do? You called me and I came, my name is Lakyta DeCosta, might I ask your name miss?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yarisa growled low as they slowly sat up, their entire body ached with pain that radiated through them, groaning they grabbed the water next to them and downed half a glass in seconds, one of the ice cubes resting in their mouth to just slowly melt. I just want this to stop, I don't understand. They thought this quietly eyes closed, they had been frozen in place at the time of attack, hadn't wanted to use magic on the people hurting them, they prayed for it, for the peace that would come when violence stopped, their soul cried out for it, "Please, I just wish that I could defend myself..." It was a soft but desperate whisper, their wish.

A blinding flash erupted in front of his summoner, the portal allowing him to step out before disappearing. He was greeted with the sight of a band of, what he assumed were, demons. "Hmm... Just so you know, I've been dead a long time. I think. So I might be a bit rusty." His words were directed at the creatures before him, "In other words..." Fire blazed in the palms of his hands, "I can't promise a quick or painless death." He slammed his palms together, "Incinerate," and flames burst out of the ground turning them to ash. The deed done, he finally got a good look at his summoner. She was young, or rather young compared to normal lifespans. He frowned when he noticed she was also a human. 'Deep breath. Gather yourself....' Taking a minute to compose, he finally acknowledged the woman directly, "I have answered your call. I am your servant, Kota Inugami. It's.... a pleasure."

Ashara could only blink in suprise. Suddenly someone appeared and saved her? She barely registered the greeting before she fumbled up a reply, "Umm ah... Ashara.. Devlin. Nice to... meet you?" The girl was obviously not from around here. Actually, she didn't even seem like someone from this side of the world. "So... uh, Lakyta? Umm how did you find me?"

Kayia watched as a portal appeared in front of her and she watched the person who stepped out annihilate the demons that had been chasing her. She could barely hear the person identify himself as Kota Inugami and she nodded at him. "Kaiya Solura and I guess we are stuck together now." Her voice faltered near the end of her sentence and she felt the physical strength that had been drained during her fight with the demons thanks to her magic arrows hit her like a punch to the stomach and she stumbled forward a little and almost ran into Koga. "Sorry, my arrows can drain my physical energy if I use magic and those jerk demons that chased me here had me just about use all of my energy." She shook her head and her hand went up to where the chain to her locket was and pulled it out so that it was visible and she looked up at him. "Well,why are you here?" She didn't care if she sounded rude since that was what happened after her parent's death but she just wanted some sleep to regain her strength.

@TheWhiteLion

"As I said, I have answered your call. Judging by your current state, I feel we should discuss the 'finer' details later. Come." He kneels down with his back facing her, "It'd be better for me if you didn't stumble around everywhere. You can point the way towards your home. You do have shelter, correct?" His tone is neither angry nor rude in nature. It was resignation. This was his fate now and come hell or high water, whether he wanted to or not, he would see it through.

(he will not be friendly immediately. Distrust of humans and all that.)

@CrystalYoshi

Lakyta simply smiled sweetly at the woman before her, she was here and she could help, and that was all she cared about, "l heard you cry out, you're just the type of person I waited for." Smiling she expanded her spiked silver killing the creatures all around the pair. "And your safe now, Ashara I'm here to support you as you need. Lucky for you I responded to your call." Stray strands of hair fell in her face while she flattened out the silver and slid it under Ashara lifting her into the air on the floating metal. "You're hurt though...can you tell me which direction to go to take you to a healer, as your servant I must prioritize your health and safety. Don't misunderstand though, I won't baby you, the one I serve needs to be able to keep pace with me."

@TheWhiteLion

(I kinda expected that.)

Kiaya would have argued that she could have walked herself back to where she lived but he did offer so why not take it up. She climbed onto his back and placed her hands on his shoulders and flinched internally, her father used to do this for her when she had pushed herself too much but that was the past and this is now. "Okay,so we are going to be going straight for a while but I will tell you when to turn and stuff." She pushed away the feeling of fatigue since she had to navigate Kota to her house which really wasn't that far away from where they were now.

@TheWhiteLion

'Kind.' Was the first word that came to her mind after the girl lifted her into the air, "Ah, well.. hmm, I suppose we could go back to my place. It's only a twisted ankle, i think, so it isnt something to go crazy over." She was relieved when Lakyta mentioned that she wasn't going to baby her. Obtaining a Demon Hunters license was supposed to be her way of showing she wasn't useless. Still, she wanted to find out more about what 'servants' were. She had never heard of such a thing before, aside from familiar summons but that was little more than a mindless creature that you conjured for a short while. This girl... was far more powerful than that.

Kota stood slowly, letting his new charge get situated. 'Hmph, once a general of an army now reduced to a pack mule. That old king must be laughing his chins off, if he isn't gorging on food he pilfers from his people as 'tribute'.' Making sure he has a good grip he begins to jog. A full out sprint would have been ideal for him, but she might have been far more tired than she let on. It wouldn't do for her to lose her grip out of shock and injure herself further. "Try to hold on tight. Healing isn't my specialty."

Kaiya nodded and she held on tighter before she recognized the place where they had to turn,she could barely hear the waterfall that was near her house and she knew the path that had to be taken, a right turn before heading straight until making a left turn at a stream and following it up until they reached the lake that she lived nearby. "Turn right now and then go straight until you see a stream and then you make a left and head straight until you see a lake, I live in a wooden cabin alongside the lake and I'm telling you all of this now because I might fall asleep soon." She wasn't lying but she stayed awake to make sure that he was turning at the right places.

@TheWhiteLion

"Hm." Was all the confirmation he gave that he understood her directions. Sure enough, a decently sized lake appeared before them. On the other side of the lake stood the cabin she spoke of and he slowed his pace a bit. "Almost there." He said this aloud, though it was more towards himself. At the very least, she would get some rest and he could explain in the morning. He really hated repeating himself. His ears and nose stayed alert, checking for pursuers or dangerous wildlife, but found nothing worth mentioning. While she was sleeping, he'd probably go hunt for some food. The void he came from had no concept of time, so he needed to make sure he hadn't lost his edge.

@CrystalYoshi

Of course Kaiya had fallen asleep on the way there soon after she told herself that she wouldn't do so and she stirred when she smelled the water so she just allowed herself to go back to sleep for a little while longer but had to tell him where the spare key was. "The key to get inside is inside a flower pot with a lily in it." She drifted off back to sleep after she mumbled that where her could hear her and she felt her scratches sting from where she had been cut by branches but she did have a gash on her back where a demon had hit her while she was running but it wasn't as bad as some of the other injuries she has ever sustained but it was still bleeding a little.

@TheWhiteLion

The iron smell of blood drifted into his nose after he stopped to pick up the key she pointed out. 'Hm. She tried to make a stand then?' His first impression was that she was some hapless child in over her head. After she had mentioned her abilities and the strain it put on her, it hardly changed. He entered the house and placed her on the nearest piece of furniture he could find. Now that he could get a good look at her, he was only mildly impressed. True to her word her quiver was empty, so she had indeed fought hard. Judging by the blood that had seeped through her clothing, she had tried to regroup but was too exhausted. "Hmph. At least you're a fighter. I don't think I could stomach another 'dainty noble'." He set about looking for anything that resembled healing supplies but, due to his world lacking in many scientific advancements, he could not make anything out.

@CrystalYoshi

Kaiya heard every word that he said and she gave a small laugh and she squinted her eyes only to find him struggling to find any supplies to help her so she hesitated a bit before standing and walking over to where the bathroom was and she opened a drawer to find what she was looking for, some gauze bandages and a bottle with liquid to disinfect the wound and a cotton pad."You use this to disinfect the wound and this to wrap it it,got it?" She first held up the bottle and the cotton pad then she held up the bandages before handing the stuff to him and going back to where she was and laying down onto her stomach, but staying awake so that she could provide help whenever it was necessary.

@TheWhiteLion

He held the items, giving them a few odd looks and sniffing the bottle. He shrugged and made his way over to her, setting the items down. While he may not know healing spells, basic first aid was nothing new to him. He sat on the edge and doused the cotton pad with the liquid before pausing. "You'll need to remove your shirt."

@CrystalYoshi

Kaiya nodded and she lifted her shirt over her head and placed it next to the back of her head so that she could remember to wash it later to remove the blood off of it so that she could wear it again,it was a nice shade of red after all and she made it herself. She was already prepared for the liquid to sting but she knew that it would feel better so she would just deal with it and she watched Kota without moving her head and she started thinking to herself. Who is he really?

@TheWhiteLion

He ignored her looks, dedicating all of his focus to the task at hand instead. He swiped the cotton over the cuts, making sure to pay extra attention to the larger one in the middle. As he was working, his eyes glazed over and he felt like he was back on the battlefield again. His soldiers charging into the demon hordes with him at their head, and the aftermath of the battles when they patched themselves up. The moans of those gravely injured sounding like a macabre chorus in the background, and the soft cries of the men who watched their comrades close their eyes for the last time. His movements became a bit stiff.

@CrystalYoshi

As Kaiya watched him wipe down her cuts and she watched as he became stiffer and she slightly propped herself onto her arms and properly faced Kota. "What's wrong with you,it's like you're remembering something but I guess I won't pry into whatever it is." She layed back down again and she closed her eyes again, remembering her parents when she was little,so happy and full of life.

@TheWhiteLion

"Ah I see..." Lakyta said softly, that was when she noticed the girl's strange way of dressing and tilted her head slightly to the side. "Where am I? You're way of dressing is so strange...in the desert you would be boiling alive right now...actually..." A quick glance around told her she was no where near a desert. "Ignore that for now. Tell me how to get to your place, Ashara. We need to put that ankle up so it doesn't swell." The dark skinned woman kept walking while waiting for her instructions on which way to head, letting her mind drift slightly as she scanned the surrounding area, now concerned that she didn't know where she was.

@TheWhiteLion

Kota was snapped out of his memories and went back to cleaning her cuts, "Stuck in a memory." Was all he answered her question with. Once he was satisfied that all the cuts were sufficiently clean he unraveled the gauze, "Sit up and arms up." He would then apply the bandages, circling around her chest and back again making sure they were tight, but not suffocating. "You're lucky the wound is only a graze. Demons claws are made to rend, not scratch."

"Oh, um go straight until you reach a clearing. Then, you should see buildings above the tree line. Once we get closer to those, I can give you better directions." She began to wonder, as they went on, what Lakyta meant by 'strange way of dressing'. Her clothes weren't strange... right? And the nearest desert was probably a good plane ride away. "Well... we're certainly not in a desert. That much i'm sure of." She offered lamely.

Kaiya nodded and she did what she was told before looking back down at her shirt. "I guess I'm lucky that I'm a pretty fast runner compared to some people that I knew."  She used one of her hands to touch the locket still around her neck and she yawned before feeling the wave of fatigue come over her. She was ready to sleep but Kota did have a point, she should have been killed but she was running fast enough to only get a scratch and not be cut into two pieces on the ground.

@TheWhiteLion

Lakyta suddenly smiled brilliantly at the girl floating by her side as she walked straight ahead approaching the clearing previously mentioned, "I see, this is what's called a forest correct? One last question..." Red eyes fell to the ground as she hit the clearing and looked out over the grassy landscape, tall things rose in the distance, idly she wondered if those were what buildings looked like now. "Does Egypt still stand? The towering pyramids and the vast desert...those are still out there somewhere aren't they?" She patiently stood in the clearing waiting for more clear instructions while she thought on her homeland, how desperately she wanted to return, before she could lose focus she gave her head a shake causing the gems to clack against each other again and watching Ashara.

@TheWhiteLion

(I'm gonna stop after this one. To wait for @StormyDay don't wanna ditch'em.)

He finishes fastening the bandages in place before retracting his hands, "Indeed. Though I have to wonder why so many were after you in the first place." He folds his arms across his chest and cocks an eyebrow, "You didn't pick a fight you couldn't finish did you?" It was foolhardy to do such a thing, but he would await her answer.

"Er, yes Egypt does exist, but the pyramids are just a bunch of ruins now. Wait, are you saying you're from Egypt?" Ashara didn't know what to make of this discovery. If what Lakyta was saying is true, she must have been someone from the past. "Oh um, now we need to go into the city. Ah... I'll guide you as best as I can but it might be... overwhelming." She pointed in the direction of the buildings.
