"That is an admirable pursuit, Szaktal, and if you truly believe that, then you will never be without a purpose." Tallah gave the creature a genuine smile, but he knew that Szaktal could toil til the end of time and would never reach his goals. He didn't have the heart to tell him that hard truth though; there was an innocence in Szaktal's conviction that Tallah could not tarnish. "So, how do you plan to make a peaceful world?"

At Tallah's sentence and question, the attachment went still once more. "I will try to.... Convince all living.... Things to let go.... Of their hatred... Or evil" He said. But that was a contradiction in itself since Szaktal still harbored a seething hatred for his mater's killer. "I will travel... Around and help... People in need and.... Show them that its... Better to be helpful... Than to be... Evil"

"That is a good start, but what will you do with the individuals that refuse to let go of the hatred in their hearts? How will you present yourself to others, who may be distressed by your appearance? What will you do if someone revels in being evil?"

"If they are... Truly evil and will.... Not change their ways.... They do not contribute... To the world.... Therefore.... I will rid the world.... Of them" He said. No matter how docile and merciful Szaktal can be, there is no changing the fact that his is shadow spawn. And shadow comes from darkness, and darkness is the obvious thing of evil. And if Szaktal cant find a way around his obstacle, he simply resorts to killing his obstacle.

"I see." That was Tallah's only response before he fell silent; there was nothing left to say on the subject.

He was not surprised that a creature such as Szaktal would still resort to violence to overcome adversity. It saddened him to think that the creature was only able to see the world as black-or-white, both figuratively and literally. That was no way to see the world, and it was no way to force people to live, but Tallah saw no need to stop him. If he began dispatching random people because of the supposed evil in their hearts, he would not get very far before some group of people rose up and rid the world of Szaktal. None of that, however, was Tallah's problem just yet. With a quiet sigh, and rub of his knitted brows, Tallah once again gazed out of the window.

"You have a treacherous path set out for yourself, Szaktal. Tread carefully."

Tallah ended the conversation by beginning to channel a spell. Soon, his entire body was wreathed in an aura of blue. His silver eyes were lost in pools of sky blue energies, almost like when he was channeling the Voice. Above the cottage appeared an immense magic circle that soon spread to float over the entirety of the Heartland forests. Tallah was searching for his successor.

Szaktal looked to the sky, having to lean to look out the window. He stared at the circle in the sky, his head tilting slightly. He had never seen anything like it, nor had he seen anyone go into the state Tallah was in right now. He was curious about it.

Magnus had wandered away from Niklaus because of his hunger. He knew if he got too hungry he might turn on her. He was drawn quickly to a small settlement, and he quickly sought out prey. He ran into the settlement on all fours, drooling and pounced on a male. He crushed his head in his jaws with one bite. His apperance scared people, scattering to try and get away. Magnus loved the chase, running after another and mauling him. Oh man, this was going to be fun.

After the population either got devoured or those lucky few who escaped, Magnus was drenched in blood. He stood in the middle of the settlement, breathing heavy from his thrill. He licked blood off his claws and scales, though a sound came to his ears that made him halt. A baby cry. His head swung in the direction it was coming from and his instinct carried him to a house. He tore the door off its hinges, sniffing in the house. verything was left in the panic. He heard heard the cry again and smelled the air. He ventured into the house, waiting until he heard the cry again. Once he did, he headed for that room at the end of a small hallway. He entered, looking around. Upon the bed lay a baby wrapped in a cloak, crying. He moved forward and he leaned down and sniffed the baby. It cried louder, now startled by what it saw. Magnus looked around, surly someone didnt forget their baby. He heard footsteps and turned around, not knowing what to expect. But he was determined to protect the baby at all costs. What he saw was a shocked woman who had come back from visiting her sister in a different settlement. The first guy Magnus had killed had left the baby alone to go pick up some eggs from his neighbor. "P-please dong hurt my baby!" She cried, obviously not knowing if she should rush for the infant or stay where she was. Magnus snarled, stalking his way over to the woman, and loomed over her. She was in tears now, but after a minute or two of watching Magnus pushed past her and out of the house. He growled in anger for an unknown reason, making his way back the way he came.

(This was just for shits and giggles)

Mac rushed out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist only to see... Mac really didn't know what he was seeing. "Tallah... What the hell was that?" He asked, water still dripping from his body.

"I was swimming with Lyla when this giant fucking portal near the bath house came out of god know where! I... why are you glowing?"

Szaktal turned to Mac and put up a clawed finger to his 'face'. "Shhh..... He's concentrating"

((Damn sorry. I knew I had forgot something.)) @Safety Hammer

After a few minutes of the the large spell circle rotating in the sky, the blue aura around Tallah suddenly darkened to a unsettling violet. The spell circle rippled sickeningly, shifting to a matching violet, as the runes shifted into a new configuration. The aura around Tallah expanded to twice its original size and the spell circle did the same until its edges nearly reached the outlying mountain ranges. The spell circle began to whirl at an alarming speed before suddenly shrinking and disappearing in a loud clap, not unlike a sonic boom. Tallah rose out of his trance with a chuckle completely devoid of mirth. He turned around on the windowsill slowly and gazed at Mac with an empty smile. His normally honey gold eyes still glowing silver with power and the violet aura undiminished.

"It is not here." He chuckled darkly again.

"Tallah.. What the hell just happened?" Mac asked, his tone a mix of confusion and slight fear. It was also then that the bearded bounty hunter realized that he was damp from the bath, as well as only wearing a loose fitting towel.

"Because I would really like to know what that blue portal thingy is, as well as you being all glow-ey, as well as... you're kinda scaring me right now.."

"The Candidate for the Voice", Tallah replied icily. "The Candidate is not here. It is nowhere in the Heartland forests. It was supposed to be nearby, so that I could pass on the voice and leave, but it is not." The aura around Tallah began to ripple slightly as he spoke.

"I searched the entirety of the forests. It took me a year of steady reading to prepare a spell big enough to search the forests so thoroughly, and  the Candidate is not even in the forests." Tallah said in disbelief.

Szaktal watched everything in curiosity, not fear. He was curious about what they were talking about, what was the voice? He stood silently, listening to the different tones of voice the two had as they talked.

Snow: She opened her eyes, gasping awake as she crawled out from under her tree trunk to see the bright lights in the far distance. Perhaps it was where she had come from. She did not know as she was lost on purpose. She bit her lip and wondered if Garren was there. Surely that bright of a show had taken his interest. She also wondered if Lyla had noticed her absence. Probably not. But that was of no matter to her. She had to get further now that she knew she wasn't nearly far enough away as she had hoped. She took a small piece of the dried meat and chewed on it as she brushed off the leaves from her clothes and headed off away from the light, her thin legs shaking from the cold. But still she would go. She would go till her body forced her to shut down and sleep again.

"W-wait, so does that mean that you're stuck here..?" Mac asked, both partially shocked and a bit heartbroken. Does this mean that Tallah would never be free of his curse..? The bounty hunter wouldn't let himself entertain the idea. That would be ridiculous. Tallah said that he wouldn't have passed the test if he hadn't.

"How do we find them?"

"I... don't know. I never expected to not find the Candidate in the forests." Tallah was equally pissed and defeated. The aura around him faded away and his eyes were honey golden knce again. He leaned back against the windowsill heavily and sighed.

@Safety Hammer

"Perhaps I can be... Of some use" Szaktal spoke up. "Maybe I can.... Travel to where this.... Candidate is and.... Bring them here" He suggested. "If there is a way.... You can tell me.... How to recognize.... It than I will.... Find it" He wanted to be helpful, he really did.

"The problem with that offer, Szaktal, is that the Candidate can literally be anywhere in the entire world but the Heartland forests. The only way for me to recognize them is to see if the Voice reaches out to them, which requires for me to be near them." Tallah rubbed his temples slightly in exasperation.

@SnugglyKnight

"I see a... Contradiction...." Szaktal said. "You are not allowed.... To leave this place.... Until you pass on... The Voice... Correct?" He asked, though kept speaking. "If they are not.... In the forest and.... You have to be.... Close to them to.... Know than you will.... Never find them if.... You cant leave"

"Oh, I'm sure that the contradiction was intentional, but I am not going to let that deter me. I will be leaving to forest to find the Candidate, and there is no power here strong enough to stop me." Tallah stepped down off the wide windowsill. "Excuse me, I need to make a call." Tallah walked past Mac and Szaktal heading towards the front door. There was a determined glint in his eyes as they filled with silver magic once again.

"Hear this call. Heed this call. Let the gates down fall. I open the Meeting Hall." Tallah's voice echoed out through the forests as he summoned the elders to council. In the glade, seven shining doors rose up out of the grass in a circle. Before each door appeared a simple wooden throne and an additional throne appeared before Tallah, making a circle of 8. After a few moments, wizened old elves began to step through the open doorways and sit in their thrones.

Snow: And now there were bright lights and voices, Tallah's voice to be exact, roaming through the forest. She shivered a little as the heat seemed to leave her. She stepped out of the forest knowing she had traveled far from the strain in her muscles. Her stomach growled but she knew she could go three weeks before taking another small bite of the jerky to starve off the hunger. Walking into a small town, she looked around and blinked slowly. It was covered in blood and gore... something hard torn through here and killed everyone except the children. Bile rose up in her throat and she swallowed to keep it down, accepting the burn that caused on the slow slide down. She nodded and went into a house, overlooking the bodies and blood in search of food and water. Finding a small leather pouch of water she took a healthy gulp, licking around her lips to catch those precious drops.

@Delacare

"You know, if you wanted to take a stroll through the forest, you could've just asked." Garren sat in a chair in the corner that was surprisingly devoid of blood or gore. He crossed his arms and looked Snow up and down slowly.

"You look like you're on the run from a legion of demons." He deadpanned lightly with a shrewd smile on his face.

@Jennete

Szaktal watched this closely, everyone coming out of nowhere to be at this meeting that Tallah had called. He moved ever closer, closer and closer still until he was standing really close. He watched with so much curiosity, his head tilted and claws twitching.

Magnus hadnt moved too far from the town, actually he left a dead deer for the mother and child if they needed food. He was curled up in his scaly ball again and biting at his tail that flicked his nose when he could have sword a new scent came to his nose. No wait, not new. He knew this smell! He uncurled, following the scent.

Snow: She whirled around, her eyes wide and her blood sung loudly in happiness at finding the powerful being again. Her own emotions were muddled on this one. She was surprised he had been telling truth when he said he could find her and also scared that he had...well found her. "I am on the run." She said plainly. shifting in her newer clothes. She knew she had leaves in her newly cleaned hair and dirt on her face from the run. "You were gone, I decided I was all better." Her words were spoken with a cold distance but her voice quivered just a bit on the emotions behind her choice to run.

"I doubt that Tallah would describe you as all better. A meal and a change of clothes isn't gonna help you recover what you probably spent months losing." Garren stood and stepped closer to Snow. He reached out and began picking leaves and twigs out of her hair, with a soft sigh.

"I told you that I can find you anywhere. You can't escape me right now, so why not just take advantage of what we're offering until you can. I'm not asking you to stay forever." Garren reached into a small portal and pulled out a handkerchief to clean the dirt off of Snow's face.

"Besides, if you missed me that much, all you had to do was call for me." Garren winked at her as he continued to clean her up.
