She reached up to pet his head, giggling a little. "I don't suppose you can talk can you?"

He looked up and made eye-contact with her. "Mama?" He could talk, but he only knew a few words such as 'mama, prey, danger' and 'love'. Other than that he doesnt know anything.

He purred once more and curled up in her arms, his large ears flicking slightly as he did. He nuzzled his head to her shoulder, the necklace for her around his neck so it wouldnt be dropped.

She kinda held him like a baby, since that's kinda what he was. "You have a name?"

He blinked and tilted his name. He's heard someone ask that before and could understand it. But he didnt know if he had a name, so he shook his head.

Nate looked at the cute monster, and then at Miley. "What about.... Bonnie? That's a reasonable name, right?"

"A guy that kills gods?" That sounded real dangerous, but dangerous was her middle name. "Looks like we're killin the god killer!"

Mac laughed a hearty laugh, before drying off, and wrapping a towel around his waist. "I'm gonna go and see how Tallah is doing, then we'll get going in our lead."

He, Bonnie, nodded in agreement. Sure! Any name would work for him! He looked over at Nate and reached a paw out toward him, wanting to find out more about this man.

"Hello, little one." Nate said with a smile, before waving at the orange, fuzzy cat monster.

Tallah leaned out and sat on the large window sill, his right leg crossed over his left as he gazed out of the open window at Nate, Miley, and Bonnie. He smiled slightly as he saw the little creature approach and make himself a part the little group. "I wonder when my home went from being a place that people avoided to a place of congregation." The elf murmured to himself as he turned away from the window and gazed at the people gathered inside the cottage as well. He was not used to this many people being at ease in his presence, but it was not an unwelcome sensation.

Nate smiled at this anthropomorphic kitten, and picked him up from Miley's arms. He cradled him like a baby. "Hey, buddy." He said gently.

Bonnie reached his head up and sniffed Nate, then made a squeak sound and reached his paws up and gently 'grabbed' Nate's nose between his paws. His claws didnt sheath, but they didnt stab into Nate either. Bonnie seemed to smile at Nate.

Szaktal, still holding the cup of tea, stood behind Tallah. He looked out the window as well, then spoke. "Why did people... Avoid this place... As you say they... Did?" He asked, his low droning voice not changing from its usual monotone.

Tallah looked up at Szaktal with a slight smile. "Because I am powerful and dangerous. People tend to destroy the things they fear or cannot understand, but I am a force much too great for them to get rid of. So, they tolerate my presence, yet do not wish to be near me if they must not be."

Snow: She sighed, looking at where she had ended up and bit into a small piece of jerky. Closing her eyes she breathed and spun around, before opening them, her world spinning, and stumbled into the direction. She was trying to confuse herself... not let herself ever be sure of where she was going. It was the only plan she could think of to help her hide. When the trees grew thicker and closer together she shivered in her new clothes and rubbed her thing bony arms. She knew she should settle and move on in the dark of the night. When the wind was cold it was never good to be laying there to freeze. She found a fallen tree, leaves all around and fell to her knees in the pile. She proceeded to stuff the leaves down her clothes, knowing they would keep her body heat insulated and prevent its escape. She then crawled under the leaves and began to dig, creating a shallow enough dip to slide half way under the tree in her nest of leaves. Pulling them around herself, she was hidden from all predators and hunters. Her mind was not ready to black out... but her body needed to be ready for the long journey ahead. She went to sleep tense, already ready for the nightmares that laid ahead.

Szaktal tilted his head, "Something more powerful is.... Scary to a person.... I am void.... Of fear though" He said, the attachment on his head quavering and the blades on it clicking together.

"Then you are a rarity indeed, Szaktal. I have never met another being who has simply let me be. Either they wish to rid the world of me, or they wish to use me to further their goals. Even the most well meaning of people have agendas they wish for my power to energize. Healers, leaders, killers,  priests,  criminals,  the who has never made the difference when I am involved. I would like to believe that the people gathered here are different, but so far only Garren has seen the full extent of my powers and has not tried to use me. Then again,  he has potentially greater powers of his own, though undeveloped they may still be." Tallah gazed out the window at the sky as he spoke, and watches the clouds go by.

"I am willing to place my faith in Mac, as well. He has power enough, yet he rejects it happily. Though I sense trials and trouble in the future, I am sure of him." Tallah spun around and gave Szaktal a look of utter conviction. "More sure than I have been in a long time."

"My master said... That the only power.... Anything should have.... Is the power to.... Reproduce.... I am unsure what.... Reproduce means but.... He said without power.... Everything would be more.... Simple" He said, this time the attachment on his head thrashing back and forth. "That people wouldnt.... Hurt each other for.... Power.... Without it, everything..... Would be.. Peaceful......... Do you believe that?"

"I believe that a world where that were true would be an empty existence. I'm sure your master was wise, but he clearly must not have thought of free will as power. The power to choose is a great power indeed, and all living things have it. If we were to lose that power, then nothing else would matter. That is not peace; that is oblivion." Tallah watched Szaktal's agitated movements with interest. "Besides, there is no such thing as a peaceful world. There are, however, peaceful moments that must be enjoyed for as log as they last, and striven for in life. Asking for anything more is futile."

The blades on the attachment clicked together, the four opening and closing slowly as the attachment itself gave another thrash. "I want to.... Make a peaceful world.... I want to help... Things see that... The world does not.... Have to be full.. Of red petals" His entire body did not move but the attachment wouldnt hold still. "I want to... Remove the possibility that... What happened to my.... Master might happen to... Others"

"That is an admirable pursuit, Szaktal, and if you truly believe that, then you will never be without a purpose." Tallah gave the creature a genuine smile, but he knew that Szaktal could toil til the end of time and would never reach his goals. He didn't have the heart to tell him that hard truth though; there was an innocence in Szaktal's conviction that Tallah could not tarnish. "So, how do you plan to make a peaceful world?"
