Fantasy Immortalist's

Echo stayed put at her seat as the commotion aroused. The men the table over were all fighting, she expected the women would join sooner or later. 'Maybe I could use my gift..' Echo thought, she was defiantly smart enough to learn so why doesn't she try? 'No. That's a risky idea..' Echo reconsidered, she was having a internal conflict with herself but she didn't show her emotions.

Malex saw the magic user who was in danger and snapped his fingers. at that moment a small sink hole formed under the guard. The guard that was next to Malex almost pulled the trigger seeing the other guard get killed. but Malex held his hand up slowly turn his piercing glare at the man next to him "Put the gun down, I said. First round of torture or not? Either way you'll die." At that moment he tripped the guard with his chair. The gun went flying and Malex easily caught it. He stood up and pointed the gun at the man on the ground. "Please talk now or forever rest in peace." The man spit on him and Malex toke a napkin from the table and whipped his face. "Lovely. Oh, Farewell then!"

He kicked off the helmet and stepped on his face. The guard tried to fight back but before he could he was shot in the head. Malex sat down again with the gun now tucked under his shirt.

It was at this point that Evelyn said under her breath. "My ability is electricity." Sparks radiated to the ends of her fingers until finally all the lightly in the building went out. She walked away bumping into many people on the way out such as Malex, Echo, Isaac, and James. She knew this was a long shot escape but she was willing to take the risk in the midst of the room now full of darkness.

As the lights turned off Malex's face saddened. "Aww, No more fun?" He felt the woman in the mask push into

him. With the eyesight he has he followed her. As he caught up he grabbed her arm and warned her of the doors. "You can't get out just like that, the doors are sealed shut. We have no possible way out. We can't fight our way out either because they'll kill us. All we have to do is obey, for now." He said slowly letting his grip lose on the girl.

She growled in dismay very much not liking the fact that she is confined in this place. She heard even more of a commotion going on with the lights turned off, "Fine, but do I have to turn the lights on? I kind of would like to see how they'll deal with all these people and the lights." She smiled in the dark with conflicting emotions running through her. She was scared but above all she was excited. She hasn't had this much fun and excitement in her life since, well, ever.

"I'm not your father...But I like the way you think." He said with a smirk walking back to the table. As he sat down another man came running at him. Malex stood up with his hands in his pockets and kicked the man down so his foot was on his stomach. He stomped the foot once. "One, for trying to kill me." He stomped on him again. "Two, for trying to sneak up on me. Which you did miserably." He took out his gun and pointed it and the guards heart. "Three, for everything else." Malex shot the man in the heart and went to sit down again. He bit his thumb thinking. I want to use my gift...But if i do everyone here will get injured...Why must I be so kind.

After being saved Isaac sat down on floor sweating. "Thanks." Was all he could say, the lights then turning off. He felt someone's leg run into him as he stood up, attempting to see in the dark. He could then hear footsteps coming back, more gunshots, and even some chuckling. Conjuring up a faint ball of light, Isaac found himself the table and sat down, attempting to survey the room, out of fear and frustration.

Kaylen looked at the guard in front of her with a devilish smirk on her face. "What's my gift? Why don't I show you." With that she lifted her hand and pointed her open palm at her attacker. The man stood up straighter, looking a little confused. But before he could speak, fire poured out of her hand and blasted onto the man, instantly setting him on fire. She watched with a smile on her face as he screamed and slowly burned to death. "That was fun."

But before Kaylen could find her next victom the lights blew out and the only light she had was the burning corpse of the man she just killed. "Great." Sarcasm dripping from her lips. Kaylen held out her palm in front of her, fire glowing in her hand. Her only source of light. She walked back to her table and took a seat among the other people there. "I guess we're stuck here then?"

And now the lights were out. "Great, now I can't kill anyone else." But seriously, who turns out the lights when the opposition has guns? "That's enough now." That voice! How could no one go after him? "Really, did you think you little act of rebellion could grant you escape?" He released a short laugh. The lights flipped on, revealing that all the guards, corpses or alive, had disappeared. What the... Where are the guards? There were hundreds! "Its a good thing I didn't order entertainment, because this show was great!" He began clapping in that really slow and sarcastic way. "But in all seriousness, there is no escape. Also, there are a few of you that I will need to, ah, talk to personally."

I felt his cruel eyes watching me, and the other people that had been at the table. "Well, I will see some of you later." He snapped his fingers and vanished, along with the majority of the guests in the room, besides the people at his table, and a couple others. Not even comprehending what had just happened, he could barely think. His mind was clouded with one word questions. What? Why? How? He walked to the table, sat down, and immediately began speaking. "What just happened."

Evelyn sighed as she sat down crossing one of her legs over the other and propped her head up with a hand and her elbow on the table. "People were reacting to the apparently bad news about the treaty. That's all that needs to be said." She looked around to others that were at the table. "The real question is. What's going to happen now? To us I mean."

Echo looked around in the darkness of the room. She could hear screams of guards but once the light returned all the guards had disappeared from the room. 'How..' The man whom organized the event spoke once more, snapping his figures and disappearing along with a majority of the people in the room. The only people who were left were the table next to hers who started the commotion and some others who were scattered around the room. 'What..?' Echo questioned what had happened but did not speak her mind, instead she stayed put.

Malex relaxed at the table with his hand in his palm. After the lights went on he looked around to a almost empty ballroom. The men in armor were gone. Most of the guest disappeared too. All of the people around the table including him and some other people scattered around the room still stood. As the people questions what is going or what happened Malex stood up.

"Excuse me but to clear your thoughts, the man who made this all possible is probably leaving only us here because he wants us to join his 'army' or make our own at fight against the three races. These are my thoughts. And I proof that they are not going to kill us because of violence towards the guards. My evidence is the lady over here did not show any violence, I heard her politely say her gift. Not taking any movement of violence." He spoke in a voice so everyone at the table could hear.

As Malex told about the woman he pointed to the one in the mask. He turned to the woman in the mask and bowed his head. "Forgive me for putting you on the spot." He sat down again tapping his nails on the table.

Sitting upright, Isaac was able to breathe again, having the pressure drop significantly. "..." The people around him seemed to be a wise variety of the races, and a wider sort of gifts. "I apologize for the commotion from my end, that was unlike me." He said simply, brushing some glass and dust from his hair. "I doubt we can leave now, the air around us seems controlled, as if this were that mans space. We should play along for now." Closing his eyes, he brought out his tome and spoke quietly, as he added a new note on one of the pages:Rich people are insane.

James quickly stood up from his chair. He couldn't stand being still for so long. "Well, I'm going to go talk to some of the other people, gather some info, and try and make a plan of how to escape. If anyone cares to join me, I'll be over there." After saying this, he points to where several others were located before walking over there with large strides, taking his ruined jacket off in the meantime.

Echo sat quietly, being the only one left from her table. She took out her phone, checking the time. 8:48. No signal. She was stuck in a place with people whom she wasn't familiar with and she had no book to pass the time, Echo was not pleased. 'The air here feels.. compressed, stuffed' Finally getting up from her seat, she walked over to the walls and placed her hand in it. On the other side of the wall was the outside world, but there was no such thing. She could feel nothing, as if this room and the outside world were completely in different universes, dimensions. It must have been some type of barrier but all barriers have weakness, what was this barrier's weakness?

She scoffed at Malex, "I appreciate the apology, but right now expecting an apology was the least of my problems, well, our problems." She sighed being very impatient and looked over the person she was currently in a conversation with. "So what about you eh? What's your name, origin, gift, all that small talk good jazz." She said trying to pass the time by. Plus she figured that if what everyone else is saying is true about being forced to be recruited she figured she might as well talk to the people she possibly will be working with. After talking to this guy she planned to maybe talk to some of the others to get a good feel for everyone. Why? To try and make her way up the ranks. If she is to be in a war she wants control.

"The name is Malex, I would ask you the same but I doubt I'll get anything from it.

I control earth, and just a little hint for all of you, I have a personality disorder. Or that's at least what

the doctor said." After his friendly tip Malex put his hand on his forehead. He was having a horrible headache

due to Nico 'Nagging' in his head. "I-we can't, we're locked in here. Shut up." In a low whisper he talked to himself. The entire time he fought back with Nico in his head but he could only take so much. He put on a smile to hide the pain in his head. "Even though I said before I wouldn't get any information from you, I'd at least like to know the name." He moved some hair off his shoulder. "It'd be no fair for you to know everything about me, and me knowing nothing of you."

Kaylen sat in her chair, watching the others. She noticed one thing right away, these harnessers are just as bad as human. But they have power and would be a challenge if she ever had to fight them. When the other dragon got up from the table to look for an escape she soon followed. Stick with your own kind. Why she was far enough away from the others and close enough to the other dragon she finally spoke to him. "Hey, dragon, listen. We need to stick together, have each other's backs. Just incase something happens." She paused, Maybe that was a bit too forward? "I'm Kaylen by the way, Kaylen Grave."

James was already half way to the others when the girl approached and spoke about having each other's backs, also introducing herself. "Uh, ok, sure. Also, I'm James Glaciem." I hope one of these people know whats up, or at least have a slight clue to whats happening. Because I am not living the rest of my life in a destroyed ballroom. Plus, what would we eat? I wonder how roasted harnesser tastes... Quickly suppressing the thought, he tried to forget his curiosity in eating a harnesser. By the time they arrived the outlook for information was pretty thin. One girl was under the table crying, another was passed out on the floor, a guy was repeatedly punching the wall, and the other guy was calmly drinking out of a wine bottle. Might as well ask that guy first. He's probably the calmest of the bunch.

Slowly walking up to he guy, James took the seat next to him. "So, do you think were going to die in here?" The man only laughed and took another swig of wine. "If I thought I could escape would I be sitting around drinking a whole bottle of wine?" "Have any idea of how to escape or anything like that?" The mans tone was sour this time. "Nope. This place just seems fishy. Like its everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I don't know, it may just be the wine talking." "Thanks." The man responded by waving and taking another drink. I turned to Kaylen and began speaking. "Any other ideas?"

She chuckled at him nonchalantly saying that he has the ability to control earth. If anyone had a reason to not tell what their ability was he had the right not to. She realized that it was a highly dangerous ability to go up against, even her. For her always wanting control it was then that she decided she was going to befriend this person to ensure that he never uses his abilities on her. So for a start, she went ahead telling him her info as well. "No, I see no reason to hide my name and ability from you. I am Evelyn and my ability is to control electricity. Heh, low damage output compared to what you got. Do you ever feel like messing with others sometimes and throwing out a tiny, little earthquake? Just a tiny one and watch the world around you tremble in response." She laughed at the mere thought, "Without a doubt, I would." At the moment she was just making small talk... a very interesting small talk. She knew she was sadistic, but she didn't care. Evelyn saw no reason to censor herself under the circumstances they were in at the moment; plus, she wanted to have a bit of fun before possibly being sent out into war.

As she shared information he toke a sip of the wine in his glass. He nearly spit it out once she asked him it he ever wanted to do anything destructive. He swallowed the wine and did a light chuckle while setting the glass down. "My, my, sadistic aren't we? I like that to be quiet honest....yes, I have considered doing a light earthquake. But I take most my anger on the volcanoes in Hawaii." He toke another sip and looked at Evelyn with a innocent smile. No doubt about it if he were to befriend her they could take over the world..He then thought, 'but after they toke over the world he would have to betray her.' His headache got worse, but he knew he had to stay in the state just a bit more. For Nico's own good, he'd have to not let him experience all of what's going on. "So miss Evelyn, since we're sharing information..do tell me, why did you come here? I mean the party."
