Fantasy Immortal Avatars (Ancient Mythology Crossover)

"I sense another god coming close to us, it is faint though...", I say to Thoth. "Pa pa pa pa...." My mind repeats. "How many gods are in Giza?"

Current Location: Border of Egypt and Israel
Heading To: Cairo, Egypt

The smell of hot sand and the sound of shouting men wake me from my nap. I sit up and look around, remembering I was on my way to Egypt to visit an old associate for a job involving an American CEO traveling through Africa and the Middle East. I don't plan on accepting the job but I want to humor him. What was his name again? It doesn't matter. I sit patiently in my seat as my driver deals with the border 'police'. I look at my gauntlet, flexing my fingers one by one slowly to make sure nothing is broken or damaged. Maybe this will be a fun little vacation for me. Or maybe I can find a job that involves someone a little more important than some capitalistic drone.

Current Location: Outskirts of Giza Marketsplace; Nearby Thoth and Ra

"Hmm... It's close," I mutter. The other two god-like auras are nearby. Their auras are unlike anything I'm familiar with. "If things get bad, I probably won't stand a chance. Not while I'm like this." I continue to walk around, lost in my thoughts, trying to think of a plan on how to deal with the situation. "If only I had my trident, I could shish-kebab those other--" I was interrupted when I bumped into someone.

Putting my hand on my head, I rose up slowly. "Pardon me, good sir. I didn't see where I was--" I stiffened as I realized that I've bumped into one of the two "gods" that I've been detecting. I slowly moved my left hand closer to my dagger, careful not to agitate the two. The taller one had blond hair and brown-ish eyes. The other was slightly shorter with short dark hair and a bit of stubble. Overall, not all that intimidating. 'I could probably take them on. Hopefully'

My head starts BOOMING! "WATER WATER WATER WATER WATER!!!!" I then look at the water god, I look at the gods arm.

With quick speeds, I grab the gods arm with a monster grip and lift it up. "Water god, nice try, you can't fool me."

Current Location: Giza
Heading To: Where the other gods are

My host- she's on a college trip. Bah, I will have to break away. I cannot live as a mortal anymore.

This aura- it's getting closer, and I can decipher it more. Apollo? Is he here? Another aura- it seems to be Athena, it's some sort of knowledge aura. And, wait there's another one. I can decipher this one easily. It's a sea god, maybe Poseidon? I can feel the power. I approach them. These must be the other gods.

"Apollo? Athena? Poseidon? What's going on??"

(FYI, Apollo is the Greek god of the sun, as is Ra in Egyptian mythology. Athena is goddess of wisdom, as is Thoth in the Egyptian myths. Since Pan is a Greek god, he's assuming that the other gods are Greek too.)

I stiffened as the man suddenly grabbed my arm, causing my dagger to fall. "Water god, nice try, you can't fool me." he said. This is the exact opposite of how I wanted this to happen. "Q-Quite the grip you've got there," I said, "Reminds me of my nephew's." I wriggled my arm a bit, testing the man's strength. "Judging by the obvious strength you've got going on, you knowing my status as a deity, and being in Egypt, you're an Egyptian god." I guessed.

I raised my other hand in surrender. "I mean you no harm," I calmly said, "I was unsure of your identity. My past experiences on this world has led me to be quite cautious with powerful auras." Ah, yes. Being in Greece, fighting monsters who eventually just came back from the dead. What a riveting time.

"As you've said, I'm a god. NOT a water god, mind you. I take offense to my sovereignty being mixed up." I deadpanned. "I'm a SEA god. Clearly, you Egyptians wouldn't know anything about that. Just look at this place!" I gestured to all the sand. I tried to do even more dramatic gesturing but my arm was still in the other deity's grip. "Mind giving back the arm?"

"Poseidon? Is it you? Why have we reincarnated like this?"

Egyptian gods? So, Apollo and Athena are not present. These gods, in front of me, must be the Egyptian counterparts of Apollo and Athena. That means the Egyptian sun god and the Egyptian wisdom god.

I let go of his arm, letting him free.

I slowly pick up the dagger, staring down at it. "So why use this...?" I ask, slowly. "Apparently you're greek.". "Terrible attempt to slay me, if you came in peace, why would you try to stab me? No matter what person, I advise you not to try that again, or I will make you into a pile of ashes, got it?"

"If you don't accept i'll make you a puny worker in the new world I plan."

I stare at the man who has the sun aura.

"I come in peace. Alas, I have not seen Poseidon in eons. Who are you, sun deity?"

Current Location: Calistoga, California
Headed To: Airport

We get on our bikes and hit the road. Time to see what it's like racing in Giza!

"I...am Ra, god of the sun!" I say, like a warrior. "I need gods to join my plan to rule the world, gods above humans, will you help?"

I say.

I then turn to poseidon. "I give you one more chance, or you will be a mere' human in my plan."

 

[Tetro]

I continue sitting and waiting as the truck starts moving into Egypt. Suddenly I feel a weird energy wash over me, like a blanket. I grip onto the dashboard with my right hand as I feel something enter my mind and echo words in my head.

This human is perfect. I have been forgotten for far tto long. I will become one with him and I will be remembered. We will remind them all of who I am. I can feel them in Giza. Egyptians and Greeks. No longer will I be in the shadows of other gods. I will take my rightful place in the pantheon. I will take my rightful place in that temple. They will know the name Summanus. My name.

Current Location: Angwin-Parrett Field (Airport)
Headed To: Delta Flight 6761

We roll to a stop in front of the airport. Getting through security will be a hassle, but before long, we should be on the plane to Giza!

"Help you? Well, the humans have been destroying my turf for the past thousand years. I don't see why we can't rule them. I'm in, Ra."

 

[Haz.]

(Oh christ, it didn't alert me of the amount of activity on this thing. We're picking up steam at an alarming rate.)

Current Location: Outskirts of the Giza Marketplace

"Wait, plan to rule humanity? Why are you blended in as one then? Rather ironic, isn't, RA?" The tone of voice Thoth used when naming the god of the sun clearly implied Wisdom didn't take his superior too seriously. As for Poseidon, he just kinda ignored him, not really seeming surprised at his sudden appearance in HIS area of the world.

"Because, i'm slowly gaining my power....to become my animal form again, this humans body is great for me, so I will slowly evolve in it, and take my throne....first though...I have to get rid of this humans spouse in a so called 'accident'."

Location: Outskirts of the Giza marketplace

I start to feel a couple of gods already congregating as I get closer to Giza. I tell my driver to tell my associate that I will be unable to take the job due to changed circumstances. When I finally arrive near my destination I can feel four gods already together. Interesting indeed. None Roman, but it matters not.

As I make my way slowly towards the others I overhear the words of one. 'I have to get rid of this humans spouse in a so called 'accident'.' I smirk. "You are not too bright, are you?" I speak out loud as I look the others over and walk closer to the group. "My name is Summanus. Pleasure to be back."

(I didn't wanna miss out on interaction so my earlier posts took place in a timeline before the more recent posts so I could justifiably jump in later on. Just so no one thinks I was forcing a time jump or anything )

My head booms, "NOCTURNAL NOCTURNAL NOCTURNAL......THUNDER THUNDER THUNDER!!!!", "Summanus, huh...another god that could help me."

"I'm planning to unite all gods, Summanus...the name is Ra, I am god of the mighty sun."

"My plan...is to rule humanity....they forgot about us years ago, we will take over the world again." I say to Summanus.

 

[Tetro]

I scowl, anger welling up in my chest as I hold open my gauntleted hand. Black lightning arcing through and around it, "I. Have been forgotten. For far longer than any of you. You know nothing of being forgotten." I seethe. I grip my hand into a fist and make the lightning die down slowly as I take a breath.

"The sun is your throne, and just as the head of your pantheon, Jupiter is the head of mine. But I take his throne during the night, just as another takes yours when the sun goes down. Humanity is ruled by not one, but many."

 

[Haz.]

"Oh, great, we're taking over the world now? Any more bright ideas, sun god?" Mocked the god of wisdom as he rested on a column, examining the newcomers carefully.
"This... Human has been having a dream lately. Something of the sorts of a prophecy. A temple with murals, hieroglyphics of us- all of us, from all over the globe. It felt... Sinister. Ancient, almost as if it was planned from the very beginning. With every waking hour I remain in this mortal shell, I feel the gravity of the Earth pulling me in a certain direction- we need to find out what this means. Who's with me?"

Misty/Pan

"I'm with Thoth and Ra. We must uncover why we have came back like this. And, I want the humans to pay. They have been physically destroying me: cutting trees, dumping in the forests- they will pay. I used to care about them. Why should I care if they don't care about me?"

 

[Tetro]

Current location: Outskirts of the Giza Marketplace

"We have all suffered injustice, but without the mortals' worship we have no power. We cannot use pure tyranny lest we ignite rebellion. Either from mortals or other gods. Those who erased us from history are long dead, and their ignorant offspring should not suffer because of it." I try explaining.

"We must learn of why we came back, yes. We must take our place back in this world, yes. But I will not rule over my pantheon as a mindless tyrant. Nor will I let any of you harm my potential worshippers." I slightly warn, eyeing Ra, Thoth, and Pan. "We must teach them the errors of their ways. But to punish someone unaware of the detriment of their own actions due to ignorance is simply foolish. We are not children. I am siding with Thoth." I cross my arms.

I watched their whole exchange from the side. Can you believe that? The might POSEIDON watching from the sidelines! In the heyday of the Greek Empire, I was beloved! All worshiped me in hopes of avoiding a tidal wave or an earthquake. Unfortunately, it seems my host body's former mind has left some kind of influence on me and so, I remained quiet. Once the sun god announced his intention on ruling the world like the old days, I decided I had enough.

I walked up to Ra, looked him directly in the eyes. "I refuse. That's not because I believe the humans should have the world," I shook my head, "It's because you threatened me. The sea does not forgive such atrocities." I then simply picked up my dagger, expecting Ra to lash out in anger like Zeus would.

"I side with the Wisdom God, on this."

 

[Haz.]

"Then it's settled." Announced the wisdom god with a cocky smirk washing over his pale face. "First, we must settle down. Refresh ourselves with human nutrients and locate other gods. The murals seemed to indicate that every deity ever worshipped would eventually join together, and while we are not even scratching the surface, this is a good start. Now then, who's up for shwarma?"

"I am with Thoth then, if the others are. Ra, I'd like to support your plan later. But Thoth is right, many more gods are coming soon. I just... know it..."
