She held him tightly and frowned "Oh Eds....Oh Eddie I'm so sorry." She whispered before helping him inside "Come on lets sit down." She murmured getting him to the lounge area letting him get it all out.

He sobbed into her shoulder and just held her tightly. “I wasn’t here! He was on his own!” He cried just holding onto her for dear life shaking badly. Wayne was the only parent he’d really ever known. His mom had bailed when he was a toddler and his dad had always been in and out of prison.

Max gave a small nod rubbing his back in big soothing circles "You were here. Maybe not at that moment, but you were here for him when he needed you take care of him. It's gonna be okay baby." She said in a soothing voice trying to calm him down letting a few of her own tears fall. She knew this pain, knew it far to well with the death of her brother. He had basically been her parent and protector all her life as well, her parents always too busy focusing on their lives and never their kids.

He spent the next half an hour like that with her until he was silent and still, holding onto her until finally pulling away and just staring at the floor. “What we’re you mad about?” He asked her quietly. “When you got here you looked pissed.” He had completely forgotten about their date.

Max held him the entire time not saying anything just comforting him the best she could. Once he was calmed she gave a small laugh and rubbed the back of her neck "I was going to tell you off about missing our date last night and not even calling." She said before giving a heavy sigh "Obviously I'm not upset now about it though."

He frowned a little. “Shit. Shit I completely forgot.” He mumbled rubbing his face and pulling her into his lap holding her close. “I’m sorry babe.” He mumbled. “How’s Aaron doing? Accepted it yet?” He asked quietly.

Max shook her head some "Don't be , you were dealing with something much more important." She murmured running her fingers through his hair. She gave a heavy sigh when he asked about Aaron "No...he hates us both." She murmured shaking her head some "I just hadn't been so stupid...this would have never happened."

He sighed a little and shook his head, kissing her nose. “Yknow I’m a little surprised he was angry at me.” He told her honestly giving her his best baby cow eyes looking downright pitiful. “I was kinda hoping he’d be excited straight away.” He told her quickly.

Max shook her head and tried looking away "Oh don't give me those eyes. You know I can't deny them." She said before looking back at him and pecking his lips gently "I think he is just confused about it all and you were the first thing he could lash out on." She murmured softly while she pushed some hair from his face "You're still as handsome as the day you left.."

He sighed a little and kissed her quickly. “Mmm I know but I was hoping for some really cute family reunion where there was happy tears not punches.” He pouted a little.

She nodded some and gave a light laugh "Yeah I was hoping so too, unfortunately he got his dad's temper." She said before smooshing her nose against his and kissing his little pout.

“hey that was uncalled for.” He chuckled and held her close, resting his head back and watching her. “You mind if I stay at yours? I don’t really wanna be here on my own.” He mumbled.

Max stayed close to him resting her head on his shoulder "Yeah I don't mind....you can have the guest room. Not sure you sharing a bed with me right now is the best idea with how Aaron is taking things." She said softly just tracing patterns on his chest

He nodded and got up after a little while packing a few things in a bag before going to her car with her, getting in. “What if you stay in the guest bed with me? Instead of me staying in your bed with you. Totally different.” He mumbled giving her his pleading eyes this time.

Max got in the car with him and frowned some "No Eddie I can't. This is going to difficult for Aaron, I don't want to make it harder by throwing our PDA in his face." She explained glancing over at him.

He sighed a little and grumbled a bit the exact same way his son did. “What if I try and talk to him?”

Max frowned some but gave a small nod "If he'll talk to you....he barely even looks at me." She said quietly "And if he says anything its usually hateful and ugly. He basically called me a senior citizen last night."

He sighed a little. “Let me try at least,” he told her gently, getting out once they arrived at hers, frowning some “Isn’t that your neighbour?” He asked seeing the woman stumbling around her front garden while she watered her plants clearly drunk, going into her house and up to Aaron’s room knocking on the door while he heard him blasting corroded coffin.

Max gave a small nod and drove them home "Alright sounds good." She murmured. She raised an eyebrow at Carmen and frowned some "Yeah thats her." She said before getting out and heading towards her friend. It wasn't unusual for Carmen to be tipsy at times, but stumbling over herself was not like her. "Hey Carmen!" She called raising an eyebrow when she saw Jamie step out "Oh Jamie! I didn't know you were back in town."

Jamie stumbled out to the garden smiling happily "Oh hello love! Nice to see you!" He slurred before pulling Carmen into him.

Aaron frowned when he heard a knock at his door. He turned down the music and sighed heavily "Yeah yeah I'm turning it down mom!" He spat before opening the door and frowning more when he saw Eddie "Go away." He muttered before trying to shut the door.

He stuck his foot in the door immediately. “Uh uh… we need to talk. No more throwing punches I got enough of that from your uncle back in the day.” He muttered pushing into the room. “Look I can get why you’re pissed at your mom… what are you angry at me for? I didn’t know she was pregnant.”

Carmen giggled and nodded. “Came back for a couple days on his way to New York.” She told her. “We’re just enjoying the time.” She smiled. “I’ll catch up with you tomorrow.” She told her as she went back inside with Jamie.

Aaron frowned as he pushed himself into his room and shook his head "You had fifteen years to come back! You decided to end my favorite band in this world and just try to throw yourself in my life when you decide to be here! Why did it take you so long huh?! Why did my mom never tell me about you being together?! Why did you leave her?!" He yelled at him taking a deep breath to try and calm down "Doesn't matter if you knew. You left her here, alone, with no one."

Jamie smiled happily and waved bye to Max as she made her way back home. He started placing gentle kisses along Carmen's neck and groaned softly "Come inside love,I've got things to show you." He murmured before tuggimg her along inside

She giggled and followed him, "Oh baby we're out of vodka." She sighed but let him take her through to her lounge, holding onto him a little and giggling before she saw the drugs laid out on the coffee table and she paused. "Jamie... I... I know I drink a lot but.... I'm still in recovery from drugs." She mumbled, "Just one time right?"

Eddied sighed heavily and leaned against his desk watching him, "I didn't end the band. That was a decision made by everybody. We're only on hiatus anyway kid. We'll be back... And the reason I came home was because of how sick my uncle was... How.... The only father I ever knew was dying." He explained. "As for leaving her? I begged on my hands and knees for your mother to come with me.... But shedidn't want to apparently... I can't tell you why, I don't know... But I'm here now, I can't change the past Aaron but I can make up for lost time from now." He told him seriously

Jamie led her inside to where he had set up a station giving a small smile "Just this once darling, we'll fly on the clouds together." He murmured before kissing her lovingly and sitting her down. He got her arm prepped after she had agreed and put just a small dose into her vein not wanting to overdo it right now for the both of them.

Aaron frowned deeper and shook his head more "Why did you never visit?! If you loved her so much why didn't you come to us sooner?" He asked letting a few tears fall "No you can't, you can't make up the time you lost!" He yelled and glared at his mother when he saw her pass by "Why did you do this to me Mom?! Why did you never tell him?! Or me?!"

Max stopped when she heard Aaron yell at her as she passed by. She gave a heavy sigh and turned towards them "Because I was scared Aaron....I was 19...pregnant with a child of the town 'freak'...I didn't much care but had it gotten out...I was scared of what they might have done to you. I was scared your father never wanted kids, and I didn't want him to give up the dream he longed to have. I made a mistake Aaron, a huge one."

Eddie just shook his head "Because I thought she didn't want me here... If you wanna behave like a fuckin baby about this then you can be treated like a baby. You're a smart kid. Use your brain a little with this." He told him seriously before storming out, his own tempers flaring right now with the loss he was experiencing.

Aaron was left glaring after him "You gonna let him talk to me like that?!" He yelled, gritting his teeth when she took his side.

She relaxed back once it started taking affect, riding the high with him for a while before taking him up to bed, "Mmm.... I missed you." She told him quietly once they had both come down, playing with his fingers and just watching him

Max frowned deeper at her son and nodded "If you're going to be pissed at someone then be pissed at me. Eddie did nothing wrong Aaron, he is trying to be here for you. And especially with his uncle passing just a few days ago....please Aaron, give him a chance." She said before leaving him and going to check on Eddie "Ed?" She asked softly seeing him in her kitchen making a drink

Jamie rode out the high with her and smiled happily as they got up to her bed "Mmm I missed you too love." He murmured before kissing her lovingly pressing his body to hers "I don't want to leave to New York."
