Name:
Hazel Purple
Idol Name:
Haze
Kingdom:
Tempo Kingdom
Their Song:
Le Temps des Cerises
Power:
Storm / Winds
Personality:
Extroverted and energetic, but hides it away to preserve her public image. Chaotic, spontaneous and somewhat opportunistic, almost like she's a bit plasticky. Tries but fails to restrain her opinionated, direct and confrontational nature, and is quite self-absorbed and arrogant, though she can - usually - acknowledge that all of this is immaterial to the world-ending stakes of the issues at hand.

She’s pretty quick-witted and is both capable of and enjoys adapting and riffing in and out of music. She has a deep passion for her fans despite her incessant need to be famous and is a total perfectionist about her music. There are stories of her being a difficult diva from backstage crew, and her domineering, bossy nature causes friction, even if she doesn’t go out of her way to be nasty… most of the time.

Backstory:
Haze was always a rebel. In spite of all the classical piano training she had in her youth she thought it was too bland and chose to rap. Then, hip hop became mainstream and she thought that was lame, so she jumped ship to rock, but when she found out that her parents were avid rock fans, she went and became an old-school folk, jazz & blues singer.
Her choice of a sad, mellow genre very much contradicts with her loud and bombastic personality, but it's her aggressive innovation and knowledge in many genres that has made her songs and performances so gripping thus far, and she doesn't plan on stopping this hot streak anytime soon.
She fashions herself a trendsetter, though based on her choice of genre she's more like a trend-reviver. She can come off to her peers and rivals as (and sort of is) a callous and spineless woman, but the one thing that she has is that she's genuinely appreciative of her fans, going above and beyond to share her time with them, even giving advice to some aspiring musicians.
She's charismatic and personable if she wants to be, she knows what to say and how to say it, and boasts many, many friends. Are any of them gonna call her when they're in serious trouble or celebrating a personal accomplishment? Probably not, but she's there to bring a good time, you know, as long as you aim the cameras away from her after her third drink.

"Being a badass superhero is totally gonna boost my record sales, not that saving the world isn't nice or anything." - Haze

Name
Sophus W. Daft

Idol Name
Star White Punk(SW for short)

Kingdom
Born in The Flat Note Kingdom. Lives in The Rhyme Kingdom

Their song

Powers
Can enhance his physical statistics

Personality
Sophus has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), which causes his mind to switch between two personas: Sophus W. House and Solar White. His mind switches between these two personalities at seemingly random times. They are both aware of each other and try to keep it secret.

(Sophus) He is a quiet introvert who spends his free time alone writing songs. He is quite professional and logical.
(SW) A loud extrovert who entertains the fans on stage. He never takes anything seriously and usually follows his heart instead of his brain.

Backstory
Sophus White Punk is no one special. Most people from The Flat Note Kingdom have something that makes them stand out, but not him. Unless you count having DID as special. Filled with the power of the Bright Note, instead of becoming an Idol, he hid it. He didn’t want to become an Idol. Yes, he was good at singing and dancing to House music, but he wanted a normal job. He planned on becoming a Web Developer; however, people don’t really want to hire someone with mental health issues. Crazy. That forced him to work at a bar, where the money was barely minimum wage. With no choice (and his other personality never stopping bothering him about it), he was forced to use the song inside him and became Star White Punk. He didn’t want to actually do it, so he let his other personality take control of his SW persona. Now, whenever he has time, he switches to his secret alter ego, Star White Punk, to both gain money and protect people (After an long discussion with Star White).

Melody Holst
Idol Name: Nova
1735599487689.pngIMG_0445.jpeg
Kingdom:
Rhyme Kingdom

Their Song:

Power:
Light / Support

As Nova, Melody's powers primarily revolve around supporting her team mates. Her song manifests itself as a radiant light that illuminates both the field around her but the hearts and bodies of her allies and enemies. To her fellow idols, Nova's song helps to reinforce and protect their own inner melodies against attacks from Disharmony, which translates into them being able to take more hits in combat against the forces of Disharmony. To the forces of Disharmony, this light also serves to weaken them to make them easier for Nova and her fellow idols to deal with. In terms of combat abilities, Nova's attacks are also light based, however are definitely weaker than the combat abilities of her peers

Personality:
“Every radiant supernova starts out as a tiny star.”

Melody, in most of her day to day interactions with others, can be described as a bit introverted and timid, especially around people she doesn't know well. However she has no shortage of kindness or sincerity in her heart, only lacking the courage to express herself as she is. Aside from her timidness, Melody is a surprisingly competitive person, becoming more social when worked up about anything competitive. As the idol Nova, that timidness is part of her charm and image as is overcoming that timidness to put on a touching performance for her fans, to whom she tends to dote on when on stage. A bit of a win-win situation for Melody and her fans; she gets to slowly but surely change herself while also satisfying the part of the market that’s into shy idols.

Backstory:
With both her parents being performers themselves in the Rhyme Kingdom, it was as if Melody's path in life was decided for her the moment she was born, them being very heavy handed in telling their daughter what she should be in the future growing up. Knowing nothing else growing up, and indeed not helped by her younger sister's, Viola, innocent remarks of "No one's gonna a bigger fan of big sis than me" and the like when she learned how to form sentences, she continued on walking the path to become an idol, but something never really felt right to Melody.

It wasn't until she enrolled in one of the Rhyme Kingdom's idol academies that the reason for that feeling was brought to her conscious attention in a rather traumatic way to the young girl. While at the academy, she befriended a pair of girls by the names of Anna and Iris. The trio first met in a vocal training class, with Anna being the first one to break the ice, complimenting Melody's voice before going over and introducing her to another classmate she just befriended moments before, Iris. After class, the three agreed to hang out together and, before they all parted ways, Anne threw them both quite the surprise proposal.

"The three of us should form an idol group together! C'mon it'll be fun!"

Melody was a little taken aback by Anna's idea, but figured it'd be good experience so agreed, as did Iris. And so the group known as Trinity was born that day, with Anne the star dancer, Iris the prodigy composer, and Melody the dynamite vocalist. Even now, looking back on her training days with her fellow Trinity members, those were some of the most fun and happy memories that she has. That was until Trinity's first, and last, public performance a few months later. While both Anna and Iris had performed in front of people that weren't family before, Melody had no such exposure, especially to as large of an audience they were performing for that night. Stepping onto the stage and seeing the crowd of people before them, the only thing that Melody could hear was her heart being out of her chest. She managed to get through their introductions and the first half of their song, however when it got to her big solo part in the song, the words just wouldn't come out of her mouth.

Feeling the gaze of the audience on her, her heart started racing as before, her breathing following at a pace not far behind. The last thing Melody remembers from the concert as her legs collapsed from under her were the shocked gasps in the audience and the concerned shouts of her fellow idols. When she came to backstage, Anne immediately rushed up to Melody and kept asking if she was ok. Iris, however, merely stood at a distance and watched, a conflicted look on her face. When Anne beckoned Iris to come check on Melody, that's when the feelings Iris was keeping to herself snapped. Among other things, Iris said something that would echo through Melody's head before storming off.

"Where the hell is your passion?! What the hell are you doing all of this for then?!"

After that day, Melody started to skip her classes at the academy and gradually withdraw from social life. Melody hasn't seen Iris since the concert while Anne tried to keep in contact and keep checking on her, but eventually she too faded into the distance. For a while, Melody felt like she was drifting aimlessly and has been this entire time. What was she doing all this for? It's not like she hated performing but... what was her reason for performing?

She continued in this state of limbo until one day a knock came at her door.

"Hey sis! Wanna join me at the daycare? C'mon it'll be more fun if we're together! And better than being stuck in your room all the time!"

Of course, knowing her sister it was almost certainly nothing more than excuse for Viola to not be alone for her community service hour requirements at her academy, but at that point she figured it was better than being alone with her thoughts. At least she would have something to distract her from her worries... perhaps a bit too much. The day was hectic as one would expect and the Holst sisters had quite a bit of trouble getting the kids to settle down, but Viola had an idea. "Sis! Sing to them!"

"Wha- n-no... I can't do tha-"

"Yea you can! You totally can! C'mon sis... at least for me?"

Melody eventually relented, closing her eyes as she sung the song that she used to sing Viola when she was little, and when she opened her eyes again, she greeted with nothing but awe and smiles from ear to ear, but the biggest and warmest smile in the room came from none other than her own sister.

"See? I knew you could do it. Always have. Always will."

"Viola..." She returned her smile as she ruffled her sister's hair. "You did all of this on purpose didn't you?"

"Dunno what you're talking about. And stop messing with my hair! I'm not a kid anymore!"

"...Thank you."

"Excuse me, miss!" One of the kids excitedly called out to Melody. "Are you an idol?!" She was silent for a while before standing up. "Yea! I better see all of you at my performances, with your parents too!"

"Yay! I'll be your number 1 fan!"

"Hey now!" Viola chimed in. "No one's going to be a bigger fan than me!"

With the smiles and laughter of that day to carry her forward, Melody steps once more back onto the stage, this time on her own terms and for no one else's wishes except for herself as the standalone idol Nova to put smiles on as many people as she can, no matter the darkness they find themselves going through, and to protect those smiles from Disharmony.

    Their Song
    #silver hair
    #orange eyes

    Personality
Coda can best be described as a brat. He acts lazy, stubborn, and completely unserious. A laid-back guy who's just looking to have a good time. But despite trying to keep that uncaring facade up, he's a lot more combative than he intends to be. Being very upfront with his thoughts and opinions, even when unprompted. And more than willing to argue over things he doesn't quite agree with. He wants to understand what he's doing before actually doing stuff. Not just wanting to blindly follow. Leading to a lot of prodding and questions about the littlest of things till he finally understands it. However, while not practically enjoying working hard, Coda still does work hard on his own. The idea of being a deadweight and holding others back terrifies him. Never quite satisfied with himself, he's trying to find ways to actively improve himself, both as an idol and a person. However, he isn't doing much about his not so great personality, he's just decided that trying to fix that can wait till after he's become an even greater idol! Because at the end of the day, that's what he really wants to achieve. To grow and become even better than the Coda of yesterday.

  • Seeger Rose
  • Rebel Girl
  • Kingdom: flat note "kingdom"
  • Their Song: Louder than Words, Tick Tick… BOOM!
  • Power: Increased charisma, and emotional manipulation of those around them. Pathos incarnate, really. this effect is stronger with long crowds. those who determine the worth of others by gold or blood are hardly affected, but to the serf, the guildsman, the peasant, and the soldier, their song is like the blast of a horn, shattering slumber. To monsters and men who have hardened their hearts, their music strikes paralyzing terror.
  • Personality: Seeger, working man. They know a day's hard labor, they know an empty stomach. they know the plow as well as the sword, and while they loath the latter, both have been necessary for survival. Seeger, quiet man. Their voice is powerful. with music, they can spur nations to their feet. but a mob is dangerous, and one can all too easily lose control. Moreover, if Seeger is outed as a potential idol? The Rhyme and Tempo kingdom will take them from their home. Seeger, angry man. How dare the other two kingdoms use the Flat Note Nation as a refuse pile. their kingdom could have been great, but instead became a prison colony that condemned not only the exiles but their children in perpetuity. Seeger has a score to settle. dissonance must be resolved, but that tension can be beautiful. forgive them for reveling in all that they have.
  • Backstory: growing up in the Flat Note Kingdom isn't easy for anyone. with a strong sense of popular justice, and a biting awareness of inequity, Seeger, lacking in formal education as they were, knew that there had to be something better than this, a kingdom decrepit cannot long stand. either there would be great reforms, or the monsters and corruption would destroy the flat note nation. if this kingdom is going to crumble, Seeger might as well do what they can to lay the foundations for what will rise next. Someday, the Chord Republic will rise. but then again, a revolution is not a simple thing. and if these monsters of darkness can be vanquished, then so can the tyranny within the walls.
  • Appearance: IMG_4276.png
In regards to clothing, Seeger nearly always wears muted shades so as not to draw attention to themselves. Pants, shirts, jackets, their scuffed and sturdy leather boots. They’re 5’5’’, with some muscling, but hunger and a life of hard labor have left their physical scars.
  • Idol Appearance: IMG_4277.png
Flashing the colors of red and black, Rebel Girl draws attention to herself, manifesting in a black miniskirt (with functional pockets) over leggings, a red turtleneck with tank top sleeves, and a black leather jacket. She wears black doc martins, and a belt with tools and a few blades appears around her waist. These tools can be given to others, but as soon as Seeger turns back to normal, the tools disappear.

Name: Claire De Lune

Idol Name: Iolite

Kingdom: Rhyme Kingdom

Their Song:

Power:

Transformation into her idol form gives two major boons to Claire when engaging in combat against enemies such as the Disharmony Monsters. First is the protection provided by her armored vestments despite the rather... exposed areas of the skin; not that she hasn't tried to do anything about it, it was like that when she first transformed and remains so to this day. Second would be the Soundcaster; a gold gun like device which can fire a variety of projectiles such as bullets, beams, pellets, and the like.

IcsYhRu.jpeg

Personality:

Someone who tends to look before she leaps, one can say that at times Claire most likely hasn't leapt at all considering how often she gets stuck on a rut trying to solve whatever the current problem on hand she's obsessed with is. She prefers things done cleanly or so she says: "One attempt should be all that is needed". More often than not stuck in her contemplative moods, she often gives the aura of one who is just a tad bit unapproachable at the worst of times; her rather impressive brows certainly doesn't help with the image.

Backstory:

More often than not found nowadays in either one of the libraries in the Rhyme Kingdom pouring through some obscure texts or conducting her own research in the privacy of the family home, Claire is for all intents and purposes a recluse. In her younger years though she was more active; her father and mother who where and still are quite the philanthropists dragging her along while traveling around the three kingdoms and the villages in between helping in any way that they can.

Still with many thoughts often occupying her headspace, most details of those times has long since been lost to her, aside of course when she first unlocked the spark. The Bright Note it's called; a power to drive away the darkness and monsters plaguing the land. And despite there being no shortage of Idols around, it never seemed to end; you deal with one infestation and another pops up, rinse and repeat. She of course did her part and still does so to this day whenever duty calls; whether it be to provide hope and entertainment to the people either through a concert here and there or exterminating Disharmony Monsters.

But there should be a more permanent solution right? A way to perhaps utilize the Bright Note in a grander scale? Give it to everyone to use? Perhaps maybe try and strike at the source of the threat if at all feasible? These question and quandaries which have plagued Claire for some time still continue to do so even as a particular letter arrived at her doorstep.
