Fantasy I'd Kill For Your Love, My Dear~

"Well, I'll turn it on a little bit." He said with a shrug. He placed her down on the bed. "Goodnight~"

Brian rolled his eyes. "What was that for?"

Today, practice had been hard, very hard. It didn’t compare to the way he used to play back at his high school—This was business. But that’s what he liked about it, the challenge of knowing there was always going to be somebody better than him out there. It was what pushed him to train hard and what encouraged him to keep going.

His classes had been over hours ago, not many people lingering around the college campus now. Chester always liked how it felt at this time though, not crowded, kind of quiet, and peaceful. It gave him the chance to calmly walk while letting his mind roam free.

Unlike many of the people that he knew, Chester didn’t have a car or anything like that. I mean, his family was kind of economically tight and the only reason he could actually afford the school was because of his scholarship. So he had to take the train and walk home, every single day. Yes, he knew it sounded tedious, but it wasn’t bad! Sometimes he took the opportunity and jogged home as part of his endurance training. Sometimes he stopped by one of the little stores in the way to buy some food for his mother, or sometimes he just read one of his books while he waited for the train. Also, Chester got to be around people, even if he didn’t necessarily interact with them. He was a person that needed to see other human beings or he’ll feel alone…and well, he felt that having a car would take away those little moments.

The next train home didn’t come for another 15 minutes—He concluded when he took out his phone to look at the time. That was enough time to sneak in some late, late lunch perhaps. And he knew just the place!

Ding, dling! The bell above the door rang.

“Welcome—Oh! Chester!” So she was here, huh? Sandra, the old lady that ran the small coffee shop near the train station. He knew her because she and his mother used to do some church thing together, and the old woman would stop by their house once in a while to leave baked cookies or food for them. She was very nice, but he never saw the old lady now that he spent all of his time either studying, at work, or practicing.

The young man smiled at her, who waved at him in greeting. His eyes briefly glanced around the store, noticing some people here and there but nothing that interested him. Chester just walked straight to the counter and took a seat on one of the nearby stools, “Hi aunty, it’s been a while” He chuckled, placing his heavy sports bag down on the floor, “It’s sure been! You completely disappeared after the last time i saw ya! How are your studies going? Your mother told me you got in the team” Of course she did—Chester thought, rolling his eyes mentally. His mother was a gossip queen, especially when that gossip included him in it, “I did yes, we already been in a tournament this year. Got third place” He dismissed the idea with a shrug, making her eyebrows raise, “Oh don’t worry dear, all that it takes is practice, practice. You’ll get there”

“Yeah…Anywho, could I please have a coffee...And a chicken wrap? I’m just waiting for the train to go home”

Brian took this moment to pull out a folder. Inside were things he was given about the crime. He looked at the picture of the young girl. "That's where I've seen her! Does that mean..." He shook his head. "I don't know what I'm talking about. Nevermind. I didn't get a good enough glimpse of the guy who was with her anyhow. I wonder if that's the guy I'm looking for..." He was talking to no one in particular. Maybe Kane. He was probably the only one there who cared anyhow.

Kane glanced up at the guy who entered the place and watched him curiously as he rested his chin on his palm, waiting for Brian to finish whatever he was doing, He jumped when Brian spoke and looked over at him, then down at the picture "Oh, yeah, looks kinda familiar" he said

Brian shook his head. "Now who are you staring at?" He chuckled. "And you call me gay. Helloo." He waved teasingly. "Weirdo. Hey, but, like, if I was gay I'd date you so you know it's cool."

“Here you go, dear” After a few minutes, the old woman strolled back to him with a freshly made cup of coffee and a plate with his warm food. The young man lowered the book he had been reading, a simple fantasy novel, to stare up at her, “Thank you” Wow, maybe it was his hunger clouding his senses or something, but the wrap smelled so unbelievably good that you would literally not believe him if he were to explain how good it smelled…Because you know…It smelled good.

Sandra left to attend other customers and do her other business around the store, which was fine because he was too busy eating now to talk. Man, he had forgotten how amazing food was. It was quite unhealthy, he knew, it’s just that he had no time to think about other things apart from Tennis when he was in practice. Meanwhile, as he chewed down the food in his mouth, his eyes were glued to his book. But he stopped for a moment, eyebrows furrowing when he heard some people speaking behind him. It wasn’t only that, he felt…that feeling when your back was being stared at. “…….?” Was it because he still had his Team’s uniform? I mean, the logo of his school was printed on the back along with their team name –UTSTT: University of Technology and Sciences Tennis Team- Chester knew there could be other guys from his rivalling schools around…Maybe…?

He placed the wrap down and picked up the cup of coffee, taking a small sip. Though while he was doing so, his head slightly turned to the side, glancing pass his shoulder to stare behind him. His blue eyes immediately fell on two people—Two guys who were sitting some tables away, but they were talking to each other….Maybe he had imagined it? Shrugging off the feeling, Chester’s attention went back to his half eaten food, looking down at his book again as he continued to eat.

Kane blushed a little "I wasn't. You know I'm yours" he said as he reached over the table to teasingly stroke Brian's cheek but let his eyes wander back over to the guy, staring at him curiously

Brian rolled his eyes. He grinned a little. "Hey, Kane you got an eyelash. Let me get it for you. Close your eyes for a sec." He'd be dammed if this worked.

Brian placed a hand on his cheek. But oh he was not getting an eyelash. He leaned over. He ended up having to get up from his seat to kiss Kane.

Kane's eyes snapped open before realizing it was Brian and instinctively pulled back slightly, staring at him wide-eyed before kissing him again

@solicitude

Brian soon pulled away. "Shit, am I gay now?" He signed deeply. "Shiiiitt."

Kane just sat there red-faced and dumbfounded as he stared at Brian with a confused expression "I-I thought...Y-You..." he stuttered

@solicitude

"H-Hey... Don't jump to conclusions I mean..." He knew he couldn't deny it. They'd been friends for a while. He liked Kane and he couldn't deny it.

Kane swallowed hard "Still coming to my place?" he asked as he looked down at the table, his face and neck still bright red against his white hair

@solicitude

Brian nodded. "Yeah, yeah! Of course!" He scratched the back of his neck. "I-I thought you'd kill me..."
