I’m Not Over
Chris might be a bit disgruntled by their words but it seemed to work because Chris was stepping up his game. Lance was ducking as the mace came swinging towards him, hearing and feeling the wind rushing over him, ruffling his hair. He went to jab Chris in the side as he did so and then Christopher was aiming for him again, going for his side and Lance rolled, the mace glancing him but most of the energy not making its way to him and he came up in a crouch, one knee of the ground and the other leg bent, ready to spring up. He was grinning brightly, eyes alight and blood pumping, even letting a laugh fill the air. “That’s more like it” he encouraged.
Lance seemed like he was enjoying himself now and he launched himself forward, cutting high with one axe, aiming towards Chris’ shoulder and going lower with the other, trying to cut across the man’s waist, before going to dance back out of range hopefully. “You’re quicker than you look” he commented, “not by that much though he added and flashed him another grin before going to throw the axe towards him, nothing overly violent, just a little left of his feet, and then moving forward again, with a flurry of feints and slashes before dropping low and attempting to sweep Christopher’s feet out from under him.
Agravain did seem surprised by the force Christopher was able to exert, he might be able to do some serious damage if he was in a real battle and worked on keeping his defences up. Getting tips from Agravain would probably be quite helpful seeing as they were more similar in fighting style, he knew how to compensate for slower moves snd was used to more cumbersome weapons. Gaheris was less interested in the mechanics of the fight and was instead hoping to see Lance knocked out and bleeding, or at the very least with a concussion and several bruises.
