Not Afraid of God; Afraid of Man
You didn't see it coming. As a matter of fact, very few people are fortunate (or is it really unfortunate in that case?) enough to see their own death coming. It happened on a perfectly average day, sudden and unforgiving as all suddenly grew black around you. You died.
[] At least it was a peaceful death.
[] It made you sad... you had so many things you had wanted to do in your life... (Adds Grievance: Unfulfilled Desire, will add goals at the cost of reducing ability to chose 'safe' choices as well as adding some flavour text)
[] You died violently. The memories will haunt you for a while... (Adds Grievance: Traumatizing Death. It will add some penality in near-death experiences and will occasionally prompt Trauma event.)
The next time you opened your eyes (when had you closed them?) you were met with pure white.
Just... white, along with a nondescript, somehow genderless voice whispering in your ears:
Welcome, traveller. You have been chosen as a candidate for rebirth as a new component of the tale currently known as 'The Prince's Maid'. The world you will be reborn in is known as a 'Fairytale', and the role you will take over will require constant supervision. As such, once your new role is acquired, you will be bonded to a System and taken through the optional tutorial. Beware, however, that going against your role's predetermined settings or continuously going against the storyline will have consequences. Now, who will you be?

Welcome to my Quest! For those who don't know how to play, just choose an option between those chosen in each segment and just copy-paste what you choose into a new comment, adding an 'x' between the brackets that you want like so:

This will be heavily fairytale based and will be an open world after the interest check's initial poll asking for it to be open-ended. It starts pretty standardly, but given the choices you make, it will have plenty of opportunities to go either the tragedy or horror route, maybe even both! For now, there is no write-in (also known as custom votes0 but they will arrive later along with the rewards system I will explain later. For now, sit back and enjoy the ride!
