You find yourself at the edge of a dilapidated mansion hidden within a thick veil of fog. Local legends whisper of its gruesome past—of families who vanished without a trace and strange noises that echo through the night. Curiosity gets the best of you, and you step toward the rotting wooden door. It creaks ominously as you push it open, revealing a grand yet decaying foyer, the air thick with dust and the scent of mildew. The walls, once adorned with opulent wallpaper, now hang in tattered shreds, and the ornate chandelier overhead sways gently, as if stirred by unseen hands. Your heart races; you can feel something is very wrong, a palpable tension that seems to seep from the very floorboards beneath your feet. Shadows dance in the corners of the room, flickering in the dim light that filters through grimy, cracked windows.

As you take a tentative step inside, the floorboards groan beneath your weight, a mournful sound that echoes throughout the cavernous space. Cobwebs drape from the corners like ghostly curtains, and the remnants of fine furniture lie scattered about, some overturned, others draped in dusty sheets that hint at their former grandeur. A staircase looms ahead, winding upward into darkness, while to your left, a door stands slightly ajar, revealing a glimpse of a room shrouded in deeper shadows. The atmosphere is thick with an unsettling silence, broken only by the distant sound of water dripping from an unknown source.

You know that stories of the mansion's dark history are not mere fabrications; the air feels charged with the weight of all that has transpired here, and the very walls seem to whisper secrets of sorrow and despair. Chapter 2
The foyer is filled with dusty furniture and faded portraits of long-gone inhabitants, their eyes seeming to follow you as you move through the dimly lit space. A grand chandelier dangles precariously above you, swaying slightly even though there’s no breeze, its crystals casting fragmented rainbows against the peeling wallpaper. As you explore, your foot kicks something hard, and a faint clinking sound echoes in the silence, reverberating off the walls like a distant memory. You bend down and uncover a small, rusty key, its surface rough and pitted, hinting at years of neglect and the secrets it may unlock.

Just then, you hear a soft whisper from behind you, “Help me…” The voice drifts through the air like a mist, ethereal and haunting, sending a shiver down your spine. You turn slowly, your heart racing, scanning the shadows that stretch along the walls like dark fingers. The atmosphere becomes heavy, thick with the weight of unspoken stories and forgotten sorrows, as if the house itself holds its breath in anticipation of your next move.

Chapter 3
You turn and venture into the dark corner of the room where the whisper came from. There, you find a ghostly figure trapped within a boundless web of shimmering light. Its face is twisted in pain, and it pleads for release.

“Please… help me escape this place.”

The air around you grows heavy with an unseen tension, and the flickering light creates haunting shadows that dance along the walls, echoing the figure's torment. You step closer, your heart racing as you try to comprehend the situation before you. The figure, with its translucent skin and hollow eyes, seems to shimmer with an ethereal glow, the strands of light binding it pulsating with an otherworldly energy. Each pulse sends a shiver down your spine, as if the very essence of the room is alive and aware of your presence.

“Time is running out,” it continues, its voice a mere whisper that trembles with urgency. “I am trapped in this limbo, held by the darkness that surrounds us. You must free me before the light fades completely.”

You glance around, the room now feeling like a cage, the air thick with despair. The ghostly figure's eyes bore into yours, a silent plea for action.
