Max frowned more shaking her head some "I haven't been in heat since we lost the pup! Sorry if my body forgot the warning signs after all these years! You could have fucking said something to me instead of staying quiet!" She spat back

EZ gave a nod and smiled some "Alright, let me know if you need any help okay? I'm gonna see if anyone needs help unpacking." He murmured

He glared at her some more. “That’s not my fucking job max and in case you haven’t noticed I’ve been fucking busy!” He snarled at her starting to get angry himself now and got up out of bed walking to the door to try and head downstairs when she stepped in front of him and he pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to calm down before he made a move he would regret

Carmen nodded, giving him a quick salute before heading downstairs to get some breakfast that Jonny had made.

Max shook her head and moved to stand infront of him "No! Your busy with your job I get it! But recently it feels that you care more about that damn job than me!" She yelled taking a deep breath when she saw the angered look in his eyes. She frowned more and stepped out of the way "Go...go do whatever you need to...I'm not arguing anymore." She muttered before she walked to their master bathroom

EZ came down a little later and smiled some seeing everyone happily eating throughout the house. He picked himself up a plate and sat down to eat quickly.

He glared at her and headed downstairs, grabbing his coat and storming out to clear his head, ending up down by the creek where they had found the bodies and shifting near the water there, taking a walk through the forested area.

carmen glances over while she was taking her plate to the kitchen “Chew baby. Chewing is good.” She teased him, rubbing his back and started in on the dishes. “Has anybody got errands they need to run before I commit to staying in today?” She called to them all. They hadn’t originally planned on having a pack full of teenagers but while EZ was inside they had been living in an area filled with crime and a lot of the boys had come from extremely broken families. one by one they all became her boys and she protected and looked after them like her own as well as the two girls they had with them.

Max sighed heavily and decided to take a walk to clear her head. They lived without any neighbors around and stayed pretty secluded in the forest. She started to wander off but she soon stopped when she heard rustling in the bushes. She sniffed the air and went wide eyed when she smelt wolf

EZ chuckled as all of them called out 'No.' To her he went over and wrapped his arms around her for a moment "You're going to be a great mother."

Carmen smiled some, resting her head back, kissing under his chin "Mmm... Wait til they all tell me what errands they need at 6pm." She winked at him but tensed when she heard howling coming from relatively close by, "That's not one of ours." She muttered but set the dishes down and watched EZ head out and shift with Jonny not far behind him,

Jon sighed heavily, walking his usual route and trying to pick up any unusual smells but the rain they'd had last night was making things difficult until he heard the unmistakable sound of his mate in pain and he took off running at full speed to get there on time

Ez laughed and gave a small nod "Yeah but I'll be there to take you so it'll be okay." He said happily. Though when he heard the howl of another wolf he quickly started running out shifting mid way and following the scent of two of his boys

Max frowned when she saw two boys who looked to be in their earlt twenties step out. As they came at her when fhey realized she was in heat she howled loudly when they pounced starting to try and hurt her "Jon!!" She screamed trying to get him there.

Carmen frowned trying to not worry but the feeling of a pressure headache coming on was starting to worry her some.

He made it to them first and without a thought began tearing into the two clearly younger wolves. They were quick but not quick enough and he was hardly hurting them until they started to back off and he saw the two larger wolves emerge as well, the alpha scent of the large black one filling him with rage. This was the idiot who had jeopardised his and Max's life out here and he charged straight at him, taking him down easily. For an alpha he was still no match for Jon as he began tearing into him, a mess of claws and teeth

Max scurried back when Jon got them off and whimpered watching him. She quickly shifted some yelped at him moving to be in his way. She didn't need him killing another packs Alpha.

EZ growled when he got there seeing the other wolf hurting his men a bit. He launched when he came at him but was soon over powered. He knew he had to be some sort of Alpha but there were no packs anywhere near here. He fought back doing his best but this guy was stronger and faster.

He wasn't paying attention until Max tackled him off of the other wolf, staring over at him before taking off with Max to get back home, going through the river though so they couldn't be followed, although with the state he'd left the other guy in, he was sure they had bigger priorities.

Carmen had started pacing the moment she could feel twinges of pain through her, worried sick now when they hadn't come back yet and was about to send Charlie out to find them when the back door opened and Jonny came through with one of the boys, both of them carrying EZ between them "Shit... Get him on the table." She muttered, laying the large bed sheet they kept spare over the top of it for him "What the hell happened?!" She questioned, standing by his head and holding his hand gently, trying to soothe him.

Max tackled him off and grunted at him to get him to stop. She ran off through the river with him and once they were home she quickly shifted and went to look him over "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly. She felt some of his pain but she knew his barrier was up as well.

EZ grunted some shaking his head a bit and holding his ribs once he was down on the table "Alpha....strong....don't know...who..." he grunted

Johnny shook his head some and glared at the two boys "Found an alpha attacking those two jack asses over there, not sure why." He muttered growing angrier when he heard them say the woman was in heat "So you jumped his mate?! No wonder he attacked!" He spat pinching the bridge of his nose before he started to work on EZ "He attacked EZ and they went at it. Don't know who it was but he was STRONG."

He grunted a little and shifted back, limping a little and going straight to the bathroom, "Now I know at least who is leaving their dinner around." He spat as he started scrubbing the blood off his arms and chest, gritting his teeth a little as his anger was still rolling off of him in waves "How bad did they get you?" He asked her quickly.

She frowned, getting a pillow and setting it under his head for him before taking his hand again "Shh... Rest okay? Talk later." She murmured, kissing his head and left him and Jonny to it, taking the boys to get them cleaned up and to check they hadn't broken anything "You need to learn control... All of you before you get yourselves into worse trouble than you can get yourselves out of." She warned, sending them off to go get chores done as a sort of punishment before going back to EZ and helping Jonny to get him to limp upstairs.

Max followed him and shook her head some helping him get the blood off of him "Not too bad, just a few scratches from me fighting back. I'm okay." She said softly feeling the anger rolling off him. She hadn't seen him this bad in a long time.

EZ grunted some as he finally made his way to bed taking deep breaths to reduce the pain "I'll be okay." He mumbled

“I know honey, just rest okay?” She murmured cupping his cheek a little once she was laying down with him. “I’m right here.... do you think... do you think it was the guy I’ve been seeing?” She asked him quietly a little worried about the answer.

he turned and glared at her “what in the world were you thinking?! We have a reckless pack on the loose and you decide to go for a walk in the middle of nowhereby yourself in heat?” He questioned her, stepping forward until she was pinned and beforeshe could respond he crashed his lips against hers and was lifting her up to wrap her legs around his waist.

EZ grunted softly and nodded softly "Possibly...I didn't hear a name.." he muttered taking a deep breath

Max frowned more taking a deep breath "I was trying to calm down. I didn't know anyone was around." She said and gasped as he pinned her to the wall. She kissed him roughly tugging on his hair while she wrapped her legs around his waist

She nodded and gently lifted the gauze to check on him and assess the damage herself frowning at the sight of the open chest wound he’d received. “Rest Zeke.” She coaxed gently and kissed his hand, “I’m not going anywhere okay?” She murmured to him worrying about how easily he’d been overpowered. He was a strong alpha especially for someone so young still and now they were in trouble.

he groaned before taking her to bed and ravaging her like he used to whenthey had a pack of their own.

Max lay with him after panting hard. He hadn't been like that in so many years. She had almost forgotten just how powerful her mate really is. She curled up close to him and kissed him gently "I love you."

EZ grunted softly and soon started to fall asleep keeping her hand tightly in his refusing to let go.

She frowned staying close to him all the rest of the day until evening when she finally got up to go get something to eat as well as things to change the bandage over for him.

jon sighed in relief once they were done and pulled her in close kissing her head. “I love you.... I’m going back there tomorrow to sort things out.” He muttered

Max gave a small nod and yawned some "That sounds good, you be careful okay? Stay safe." She said softly to him

EZ woke up some and grunted softly not seeing Carmen there. He was still pretty bad off at the moment but he wanted his wife and he didn't know if he could get up or not.

Carmen frowned as she made her way back upstairs, hearing a thud and feeling a dull pain in her side, making it back to their room and sighed seeing him on the floor. “Aye, you’re a stubborn idiot sometimes.” She mumbled helping him up and kissed his head “get back into bed handsome i just went to get new bandages for you.” She murmured, pulling the gauze off once he was laid up and cleaned it out.

Jon nodded and kissed her head before getting up to go shower and get the rest of the blood off of himself, headingback to bed after and started nodding off, still as exhausted as he was that morning. His wolf at least had calmed down.

EZ grunted and started to get up before he soon fell over "Shit.....sorry...I just wanted to know where you were." He murmured letting her clean him up

Max got in the shower after him and then went to start on dinner for the two fo them.

She frowned watching him. “I can almost see your lung baby... you gotta stay in bed. If you need to pee I’ll bring you a bottle “ she told him seriously. “This is gonna take a minute okay?” She coaxed, patching him up again and lay with him. “I told you I’m not going anywhere. I only got some more bandages.... was it the same wolf we came across in town?” She asked a little worried it was another pack.

he eventually woke up to max shaking him and got upsighing heavily, heading downstairs to get some food before his phone started ringing and he grabbed it seeing Norman’s number, listening carefully and just sighed heavily,rubbing at his face and eventually hanging up. “I gotta go, they found more bodies by the creek.” He muttered, trying to walk out the front door.

Max woke him up a little later and started eating "Oh no...this is not good." She murmured giving a heavy sigh

EZ grunted some anf nodded "Yeah...I smelt the same woman." He whispered to her and took a deep breath "I love you."

She smiled some and shook her head. “You do huh? That’s good cause you’re stuck with me.” She winked at him and pecked his cheek, curling up next to him and held his good side carefully.

Jon sighed some looking back at her for a minute before heading out quietly and went straight to the office.
