I choose you.

"Then why don't you act more like it?" Lance teased as he stepped into the shop, peering around. This place was odd. Lumios as a whole that was. So fashion oriented. They even dressed their Pokémon up, which was just plain weird. He didn't like it one bit. The man whoever, who know was hugging Riel was someone Lance certainly wanted to avoid which was why he took one long side step away from them, causing his sunglasses to fall down over his eyes. He didn't much like touchy types, no matter the gender. He enjoyed personal space, which was another reason why Dragonite was so annoying at times. Luckily the big Dragon was sleeping soundly in its poke ball, chained to Lance's belt. No one could steal it now, for sure.

Then the strange male's attention was turned towards Lance. The Dragon Master looked at him, pulling his head back so he could peer at the man through his sunglasses, as they were too far down his nose. "Yes, that would be me. Please don't touch me." He said and he still sounded as kind as he always did, he just didn't want to be touched by this man whit that strange hair colour. Especially not now when he was carrying so many bags of shopping. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." He then added, bowing forward slightly, it was a typical Kanto way of doing things, after all.

"AAaah, I see you're not from Kalos!" Fabio piped, thanks to his close observantion skills. "What a surprise! May I ask what are you doing here in Kalos? Did you just moved? Or are you here on a visit? Oh! Oh!" Fabio gasped dramatically, "Did you move here because of your lover Riel? Riel, I never knew you had such a sexy guy!" The gay guy cried out, turning his attention back to Riel, who's face was burning.

"S-shush it Fabio! Stop making conclusions!" she cried. She puffed out her cheeks as she looked away, her face bright red.

Fabio laughed, reaching over and snuggling Riel, "Oh sweetheart, you're so fun to tease! Alright, let's get started on your hair! What were you thinking, honey?" he asked, grabbing Riel's hand and dragging them to one of the chairs.

"Honey-brown, please. Just like..a nice golden honey brown color. More brown than blonde," she answered.

"Aaaah I see..."

Him, sexy? He supposed so. Peering at himself in the nearby window. He was quite popular with the girls back in Kanto, not as popular as Steven was, obviously. That would have been strange. Even men seemed to like Steven. He shrugged however and continued to watch Riel in silence without saying another word.

When she finally finished and he stepped back out into the sunlight he felt rather hungry, frowning to himself he then looked over at her smiling slightly. "You look nice." He quickly commented, deciding it was for the best to at least compliment her before his thoughts completely trailed off. She did indeed look nice, after all. Very pretty. "Perhaps we should find somewhere to eat?" He asked, carefully. Hoping that he didn't rush her or made her feel uncomfortable. He was starving.

Riel gave him a shy smile in return, "Thanks. And yeah, I'm actually kinda hungry, what about you Devon?" The dedenne, who had just woken up from sleeping in her bag nodded in reply, still a bit sleepy. The girl brushed a hand through her now brown hair, "I really like this color." She said, smiling as she followed Lance.

"Anyways, do you have a plan to where you want to go?" Riel asked as she followed Lance behind.

"I like it too. It suits you." He wondered for a short moment what her actual colour looked like. Were she perhaps blond? Maybe a red head like himself? Maybe she even had black hair. He quickly shook his head however, finding it slightly strange that he even cared. She was pretty no matter what, after all.

"I thought you could decide, this time." He smiled down at her as he pulled his sunglasses up over his head again. Stupid things. "Seeing as I picked sushi, when we went out for dinner last time."

Riel laughed as she watched Lance pull his sunglasses up, like always. "You really don't like those, do you?" she giggled. "We can go to a steakhouse..." she suggested, feeding her pokemon a cracker. The dedenne climbed up onto her shoulder, nibbling on the food. "To be honest, I don't really know. I rarely go out to eat," she said, glancing up at Lance.

It was true, since the girl rarely had any money. And mainly, it's because she preferred homemade meals instead of takeout or sitting at restaurants. She didn't have the luxury to go out whenever she wanted.

"No, I really don't." He mumbled as peering up at the glasses on top of his head. He didn't see the point of them. The sun wasn't that strong and if you had issues with the sun you either never went outside the house or perhaps had some sort of medical issue to attend to. He had no such problems and therefore the glasses made no sense. Alright, he never really got outside either, not often enough anyhow.

"We can go where ever you want. It's my treat." He smiled gently down at her. He wondered why he felt like spoiling her so badly, he liked her clearly. He wasn't stupid enough not to realize that. She was sweet and even if he had indeed thought her to be nothing but a spoiled child when he met her, he quickly realized himself to be wrong and that didn't happen very often. He stopped in front of a steak house, he couldn't for the life of him know if it was a good one or not, but he could attempt a guess. He held the door open for her, waiting patiently.

"You really like to spoil me, don't you?" she laughed as she entered the steakhouse, thanking him. She looked around, the steakhouse looked pretty neat. The lights were darken, making everything inside dark with only candles and the light inside dimming it. When you entered, there was a small bakery of some sort to the side, and a salad bar in the middle of the room. Surrounding it were booth seats that looked pretty expensive.

Well...really this steakhouse looked pretty expensive in the first place.

Well....everything in Luminose looked (and was) expensive....

"Hello, a table for two?" A waitress smiled at Riel and Lance. Riel nodded, glancing up at Lance with a soft smile. She followed the waitress to a nice seat, where they could look out at a window. Since the steakhouse was near the Luminose Tower, you could easily see the large tower from where Riel sat. Riel thanked the waitress as she settled down across from Lance, picking up the menu she had given them.

"You always choose something so expensive," Riel laughed.

Lance followed her inside. He didn't seem to bothered about the place, nor did it seem as if he never used to spend time in places like this. Perhaps he was a little bit too carefree. He sat down at their table after placing the bags down by the wall, in between their seats. He didn't wish any poor waitress or waiter to trip and fall because of them.

"I suppose? I never really think about it." Lance shrugged and ordered a glass of wine and water the first thing he did before taking a look inside the menu. He supposed that it looked expensive, he couldn't really tell. Maybe a little? It wouldn't even make a dent. He lived for free, around the Elite Four Building, he ate for free around there too so he never really spent any of the money that he earned and he earned a mint, daily.

"Don't worry about money, alright? It'll be fine."

Riel sighed, setting down the menu and propping her elbows up on the trainer, looking up at Lance with a smile. "Fiiine. But just you know, you're making me feel really guilty having to let you spend your money carelessly on me," she said with a roll of her blue orbs. She gave a small giggle. "I'm gonna really miss you..." she commented randomly. "And Dragonite. You'll come back to visit, right?" Riel asked as she twirled a straw in her water.

"Ah! Don't you remember when you said you might bring me to Kanto to meet the Professor Oak? Don't you think we can do that?" Riel asked, sitting up and clapping her hands quietly together as her eyes sparkled with interest and excitement. "I always wanted to meet the professor!"

Lance seemed all too into his menu, reading it silently to himself. Steak wasn't one of his favorites but he had to admit that he enjoyed it far more than any other type of meat that wasn't white. He put the menu down though when the girl commented on the fact that she would miss him, smiling gently. "Of course. I'll come and visit you as often as I got time. I have my phone so you can always call me would you need anything. Hopefully I'd be able to answer most of the time." He chuckled to himself and went back to the menu.

Professor Oak? He peered back at her. "I wouldn't mind taking you there, but not now." He smiled sadly at her. "I can't return to Kanto without having to get back to work and then I won't be able to bring you back home. It will have to wait till next time we meet."

"Mhm, I understand. I still have my journey in Kalos to finish anyways," Riel said, already deciding on what she wanted to eat. When the waitress came around and asked for their orders, Riel ordered some BBQ Riblets, requesting a side of soup as well. She thanked the waitress, turning her attention back to her drink and watching as the ice cubes collide with each other.

She waited for the waitress to leave before asking Lance a question she's been pondering about ever since she figured out what her feelings toward Lance. "Lance, have you ever been in love before? Or in a relationship?" she asked quietly, her face slowly turning pink.

Lance ordered himself some oven baked potatoes and a stake, blue, the rarest of the rare. Perhaps he was more like a dragon than he gave himself credit for. He nodded at the waitress, his way of thanking people. Being from Kanto was hard, most kind gestures were done in silence which often made him come off as rude or... posh? in other regions. Steven always had a great fun with that.

Taking a sip of his wine be peered over at Riel. That was an odd question and it made his ears burn slightly. He wasn't certain he could call it love, he used to have an affair once? He wasn't sure that counted though. It wasn't an affair as in 'cheating on the misses' but one that mainly involved physical activities more than sharing of feelings. "I wouldn't say I have no. Why?" She was blushing, his mind had now decided what has happening, finally. She wanted him. He leaned back in his seat, pondering for a moment.

A smile was placed on her lips as relief washed over her. Sad that he actually haven't fell in love yet, but happy that she might had a chance. She twiddled with her thumbs on the table, trying to calm her blush. "I'm just curious..." she muttered innocently, avoiding eye contact (which seemed to be pretty often when she was embarrassed).

"E...er sorry for all the questions," she gave him an apologizing smile. "I tend to always ask like a million questions my friends would say." She gave a small giggle.

She was feeling uncomfortable. He couldn't have that. Gently he placed a hand over hers, smiling at her all too kindly. "I like you Riel, just so you know." He then went back to his vine, it was far too good to ignore. He enjoyed a casual drink here and there. It was odd how he never enjoyed beer though, most men did. He figured he just had expensive tastes. Shrugging the man looked back at her, smiling again. "It's going to be fun to spoil you for a week, I can tell you that much." It was true, he'd enjoy it a lot in fact.

At those eight words, Riel blushed again and she looked down in embarrassment. "Don't tell me that when I'm already a blushing mess!" she cried out, hiding her face in her arms. "I'm embarrassed enough, but I like you too...if you didn't already guess," Riel mumbled, glancing up at the redhead. She was pretty sure her face was as red as his hair and she couldn't help but groan.

"Spoil me, huh? I wonder how this week will unfold...." she laughed gently, still hiding most of her face. Her words were muffled and you couldn't really see her face but she was smiling.

Lance couldn't help but to chuckle, she was too funny. He enjoyed her company and he figured that was for the best. Spending time with someone you enjoy is a lot more pleasant than spending time with someone who isn't after all. He was glad he hadn't shouted her away, like he wanted to do in the beginning. Her personality were quite the delight.

Lance continued to watch her, smirking to himself as he drank some more wine. "Are you alright down there?" He asked, teasingly.

Riel just shyly nodded, "I'm fine...just embarrassed," she mumbled honestly as she sat up, her face calmed down with only a hint of redness in her cheeks. She watched as the waiter placed their food in front of her, then quickly thanked her with a gentle smile.

Taking a fry that came with her meal, she plopped it in her mouth as she still avoided eye contact. Still embarrassed.

"...So what now?" she asked, glancing up at Lance shyly.

"Now we eat." He said, as if it was as simple as that. He rubbed his hands together and started to cut his meat into squares. He dabbed the red meat, which was so red that it wobbled when he touched it - it was almost completely raw - and popped it in his mouth with a bemused look on his face. He enjoyed raw things, fish and meat what was the difference really? As long as it was fresh of course. Meat had to be a very high quality to work as raw too though... He shrugged to his own thoughts and continued to eat and drinking his wine, not certain how to continue the conversation from there.

With a gentle laugh, Riel did what he said, picking up a small rib bone and taking a bite. As she was chewing, she thought about the recent events that happened in less than a week. Gee, did Lance have to go through that everyday? Riel was deep in thought that when she snapped out of it herself, she realized that Lance and her were eating in silence.

Cue the awkward silence.

The girl pondered on what to say next. They already went over most of the things. Wait...

"Lance, do you think we can go to the beach or something?" she asked, a bit too excitedly. One thing most of her friends knew about Riel, is that she loved beaches and...well water in general. Had she chosen Froakie if her best friend didn't take him first.

He peered at her. The beach? He placed his glass down and leaned back against his seat. "I suppose we could, yeah." He nodded. He didn't have much time to go to the beach normally, taking a trip to one would surely not be something unpleasant, he'd enjoy it quite a bit in fact. He pondered and then continued to eat until he was all done. "We'll have to walk though." He smirked slightly. There wouldn't be a point in the disguise if he was going to use Dragonite.

"Okay! That's fine with me!" she chirped. After all, she kinda walked half of Kalos already. "Orrr...we can skate there," she suggested, remembering that Lance got a pair of rollerskates. "I can teach you how to skate!" she laughed excitedly, nibbling on a fry. Now, Riel was really excited. She loved going to the beach in Cyllage Town, and she remembered when she got her second badge, she spent most of her days at the beach or somewhere near the beach.

The last time she went to the beach was on her way back from her third receiving her third gym badge, where she encountered Lance and Team Rocket for the first time (and met Faith). She wanted to enjoy the beach before she left, and she was on her way to her fourth gym. Luckily, she was able to grab her fourth badge until she was captured.

Thinking about it, Riel laughed, "I really love the beach~" she commented.

Lance couldn't help but feel rather nervous about skating. He wasn't used to do things that he didn't have any experience in doing. It made him uncomfortable, to look like a fool. Especially infront of her! He felt as if he wanted to crawl out of his very own skin just by thinking about it. He kept smiling through it though, nodding. "Sure, why not. I gotta learn at some point, don't I?" He rather it be another time than today, but it did seem as if skating would be their best option.

He missed his Dragonite already. It was always easy to get around when you had a dragon Pokémon who could travel around the world in eight hours. At least it was a good way to spoil one self. He sighed slightly but then chuckled weakly. "I suppose it's the best way to get around but I refuse to wear one of those silly helmets."

"Mhm!" Riel grinned, happy that Lance is willing to learn how to skate, even though they both know he might look like an idiot trying. Riel knew it would look adorable though, watching him try to balance and skate. Hey, at least she'll be there to help with all the tricks and all. HOwever, when he refused to wear the helmets, Riel couldn't help but gasp.

"Lance! It's common sense to wear a helmet," she frowned. "You'll need one!" Not that Riel wore one that much anyways. She only wore them when she was out of the city, and even then Riel liked walking better than skating. She only brought it up because she wanted the chance to teach Lance how to skate~

"Yeah no." Lance shook his head quick enough to almost cause wine to spill everywhere, luckily he managed to prevent that little disaster. "I've already made myself look like a fool, alright? These sunglasses is stupid enough and I prefer to look my best around you, you know?" He raised a red eyebrow at her and finished his wine and poured himself a new one. He couldn't help it, he loved red wine, especially from a good year.

He leaned back in his seat, grinning from ear to ear. "Alright, I'll wear one." He sipped his drink, peering at the red liquid inside. "Only if you do too, and if you were a tiny skirt!" He pointed at her with his little finger, winking slightly.
