Elite Four...Is he the champion or something? Riel thought, curious as she listened to him grumble. She was messing with her bag, tuning in as Lance grumbled until she gave a small squeal of surprise as Dragonite took off. As she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, her face was dusted a light pink, feeling him lean closer as well. He was close enough for her to smell his cologne, and just a whiff of him made her blush at how close the two were. Riel poked her head from the cape and gazed under her, her eyes shining with awe.

"Wow, never been so high up before!" she grinned to herself, holding tightly to the dragon pokemon's neck. Her eyes glittered as she spotted the bright lights of Kalos's capital, and her hometown. "Lumiose is so pretty from above! Oh hey! It's Lumiose Tower!" she called out, glancing behind to Lance. It was a quick ride, like Lance said and the two were diving toward the outskirts of the city. As the two landed, Riel jumped down, suddenly full of energy from the small flight.

Her eyes were shining with awe and excitement as she was a bit bouncy, "Wooah! That was so cool! Asaek never took me up so high before, high enough to see the whole map of Kalos! Kalos is so pretty," she giggled. Suddenly, she yawned, and once again she realized how tired she was. "Oh, should I give you my number just in case of emergencies? Lumiose City is a big city so I don't think finding each other without any contact of some sort will be much help," she laughed. "And we are staying the night at different places," she stated. "Unless..." Riel started, "You wanted to sleep at my place? We have a guest room and mama won't mind. At least, I don't think she will."

Lance patted his dragon on the head as a light 'thank you' when they landed. He jumped down upon the ground, nodding towards some people walking by on the streets, staring at him as if they had been star struck. He was used to the attention. Sure, Kalos had a Elite Four of their own, but no one was as famous as Kanto's, it was the land where heroes were born and everyone who know a little too much about the great sport of pokemon battle would know about Lance, after all; he had been on TV more than twice for that exact reason.

Raising a hand in protest, Lance simply smiled at her, she was too kind. "Not needed but thank you, however I do wish to get your number, if that isn't too much to ask." He picked out a holocaster from his pocket, holding it in his hand rather uncomfortably, it wasn't something he was used to, this thing.

Lance looked up from his holecaster and took a moment before adding: "May I also treat you for dinner? I fear I owe you something after shouting at you. I know there is a sushi bar around here..." Sushi was Kanto's specialty and he knew Lumiose enjoyed it quite a bit, he wasn't certain Riel did though. Perhaps something more local was her speed.

Riel blushed at the question, as she was registering her number into his holocaster and his in hers. She looked up, "Sure!" she smiled. "Lumiose City has amazing sushi bars! Though there is this 3-star one that I rarely get to go to, do you think you can afford it? I'm sorry for asking for much, it's just that I really enjoyed that place and haven't been there in awhile." Riel mumbled, hiding her face shyly.

She looked up and grinned, grabbing Lance's hand and pulling him deeper into the city, "Come on~ I know where it is! I know Lumiose pretty well, so don't worry! I won't get lost~" she giggled.

Not letting him respond, Lance assumed that she already knew the answer. Of course he could afford it... in fact. "Can't we go to the five star one? They got higher quality fish." He said, humbly. Money was no problem for Lance, he earned more than the average Gym leaders and they were usually loaded, hence to why they could spend so much money on strange hobbies, cloths and assets for their gym. It wasn't the government how paid for it, after all.

Lance wasn't one to show off and he didn't look the type to do so either, seeing how he was dressed. He was no Steven, but he did indeed which to spoil the girl, just a little. If it was because he felt guilty or because he found her to be cute or simply because he felt awfully hungry, he did not know.

"E-eh? Five-star? That's really expensive," Riel exclaimed. "Do you really have the money to pay for that? It is quite expensive..." she mumbled, folding her hands together. She hummed for a moment before nodding, "If I'm not wasting that much money, then ok!" she chirped.

"I'm curious, are you the champion or something? I'm just assuming because you have a lot of money and really strong pokemon..." she mumbled, averting her eyes as her cheeks were dusted with a soft pink. Riel didn't know much about what goes outside of Kalos, or really in Kalos. She knows about the five champions of the world, but she never knew their names, other than Diantha. Even now, Riel barely knows the Elite Four of her home region. The girl rarely knows what is going around here, other than the fact that Team Rocket is after her from some reason.

Lance followed her calmly, putting Dragonite back into his pokeball, seeing as having your pokemon out in a restaurant was a clear sign of poor manors, no matter how much you loved them. Unless entering a pokemon cafe of course. She asked who he was, not surprised, she didn't even know about Team Rocket, perhaps she wasn't much of a News sort of person. He figured if you avoided TV and the News channel you wouldn't know much about them. Nor himself.

"Yes, that I am. I am part of Kanto's Elite Four, the Dragon Master." He spoke his title with great proud and gave her a pearly white smile as he opened the door to the restaurant for her. "So, do not worry about my valet, I can probably handle most dents." A waiter met them with a greeting and a smile, he showed them to their table and handed them a menu each, placing a drink menu on the middle of the table. Lance unbuttoned his cape and placed it neatly over the back of a chair before sitting.

"O-oh... then I'm really sorry for my behaviour," she squeaked out. She thanked the waiter as she sat down and looked around the room, "Woow...it's so fancy!" she said in awe. "I really stand out," she laughed as she shyly picked up the menu and looked through it.

"So Kanto...? What brings you to Kalos?" Riel asked as shyly kicked her feet. "What brings you and Team Rocket to Kalos?" she asked, rolling her eyes as she said Team Rocket. She yawned, covering her mouth.

Lance smirked and picked up the menu. Everything on it was rather... typical for a restaurant in a country that wasn't Kanto. It wasn't bad, he was just surprised to see that there was only salmon, king prawns and rice rolls, mostly, on there.

"I am here because Team Rocket is my problem, or well... Kanto's problem. I usually do travel the world to stop various dangerous activities." It was true, Lance had even involved himself in Team Aqua's plot back at Hoenn. "Team Rocket are merely thieves, looking for big and rare looking pokemon to both keep for their own guard and to sell on the black market. They are unfortunately after a Legendary Pokemon that is said to rest beneath Kalos. Which is why I am here. Legendary pokemon is usually bad news, would you anger them..."

"Hmm, are they perhaps going after Yveltal or Xeranas? The Life and Death Pokemon that are rumored to be underneath Kalos," Riel said, deciding to order the simple California Rolls because she wasn't that hungry, just tired. "Travel around the world, huh? I'm actually on my first adventure," she giggled. "Before I got captured, I was heading back to Lumiose to challenge my old friend and gym leader of Lumiose City for my fifth gym badge." Riel smiled, remembering how excited she was she could finally go against Clemont with strong pokemon.

"Oh, do you know why I was dragged into this?" Riel asked, turning her attention her back onto Lance. "I'm not that special...I have a plain team, and I have nothing to do with the legendaries," she stated, knowing she isn't special. "So why am I dragged into this?"

Lance decided to order a medium dish of random bits and pieces and some coke. Usually he would have gone for something stronger, maybe wine, but seeing as he was together with a young girl - who he actually didn't know the age of, he decided to leave it out, for now.

"Actually, I believe they are on the search for the third one." He smiled at her, drumming with his finger on the table top. He figured Team Rocket didn't want to have to fight Team Flare, which made plenty of sense to Lance. Rocket were criminals, not completely insane; they didn't want to destroy the world or anything. "And I don't know why they are interested in you, in fact... I believe it's because they think you know something about me. Which if quite funny... It's not like I haven't beaten their leader more than twice."

Riel snickered at the statement, "I'm guessing you did beat their leader more than twice?" she smiled, thanking the waitress as they gave them their drinks. She stirred the straw in her Chai tea, watching as the ice cube collided with each other. "Why would they jump to that conclusion? I only met you once..." she mumbled. Riel looked up and caught of gaze of Lance's brown eyes, and she quickly looked down her face a bit warm.

"So there's after a third legendary? Never heard about a third one...only the main two." Riel said. "How are they even sure about a third one? I researched about the Kalos's legendaries, and I never found anything containing a third one."

"Zygarde." Lance said, nodding. Looked at his coke, thinking hard on something. In fact, he hadn't even noticed her blushing until he looked up. Did she feel ill? He started to feel slightly bad. "Zygarde is the name. I haven't seen one myself, but Professor Oak had some research paper on it."

It took Lance a while, enough time for their food to be placed in front of them before he realized. "Oh, I am sorry. I didn't mean to talk about Kanto as if you have been there! How rude of me. Professor Oak, the famous Pokemon Professor? I am not certain if you have heard of him, he's famous even here, in fact. He has research on pokemon I couldn't even dream of seeing!"

Riel nodded, "Mhm. I've heard about Professor Oak from Professor Sycamore. I actually talked to him once or twice when I was helping the professor out in the lab." The girl smiled, "He's a nice man..."

Riel thanked the waitress once again, before taking her chop-sticks and eating a plain roll of sushi, chewing with her mouth shut. When she swallowed, she gave Lance a kind smile, "I heard from Sycamore that the Professor Oak has seen every pokemon in the world, and manage to get all their data! That's quite impressive," she grinned. "I wish I can meet the professor in real life....it would be a nice day," she said, folding her hands in her lap.

"Perhaps I could take you there." Lance blurted without thinking. That smile that she gave him made him feel awfully strange, almost as if he could throw his duties aside just to please her, it was a strange feeling and he had to get rid of it. Shaking his head he popped some sushi in his mouth, chewed and swallowed. A little taste of home, he enjoyed it something awfully.

Lance looked back up at her, waiting for a response. He supposed he could take her to the Professor, when this all was over.

"R-really, you would that?" Riel asked, grinning as she looked at him with excitement, "Oh I would love that!" she giggled. She finished up her small plate of California rolls in a matter of minutes. Riel laughed mentally. Maybe she was hungry. After all the Rockets didn't bother to feed her anything good but stale bread. She blushed in embarrassment when she realized she was still with the champion, giggling.

She took a sip of her tea, grinning at what Lance said. I get to meet the professor one day! That would be exciting! She thought. Riel gave a sudden yawn, "Ah. I don't want to be rude, but are we almost done? I would like to sleep now. Really tired," she gave a soft giggle as she rubbed her eyes. "It's been a long day."

Lance finished his meal, his coke and nodded at her. "Very much so. I should retire to my hotel room, I will call you tomorrow morning. Better get packing, I don't know how long we will be traveling."

Lance got out of his seat and wrapped his cape around his shoulders, holocaster in one hand. He had sent off the information to his colleges, hopefully they would have found something useful within it. If not, well...then he would have to start all over and track Team Rocket. "Goodnight." He smiled at her as he held the door open for her.

"Goodnight Lance. Thank you again for saving me and treating for me to dinner," Riel smiled, as she exited the restaurant. She turned to face Lance, hesitating for a moment then reaching up on her tippy toes and kissing him on the cheek. She looked at him, her face dusted in a light pink as she flashed him a smile. "Good night~" she repeated before turning around and running off back home.

(( short reply haha sorry xD ))

(I will just take the time jump into my own hands, seeing as neither of our characters will know what the other one is doing anyway!)

Lance stood beneath the big office and home to Kalos own professor, he had recently visited the man for some more information on the Legendaries cluttering the land, not that Sycamore had anything new to tell him that Oak hadn't but it had been worth a try.

He was also waiting for his new companion. He figured that he could take her between the different gyms as well as they were chasing down Team Rocket, that of course meant that if he would pick up on their trail he would have to cancel whatever trip they were taking at the time.

"I'm late. I'm late. I'm late. I'm late!" Riel cried out as she ran through the city toward her the professor's lab. Devon, her Dedenne was perched on her shoulder, holding on tightly while trying to protest. Riel looked at her pokemon. "Sorry! Sorry..." she giggled as she slowed down, nearing the professor's lab. She finished up the waffle she had quickly made, giving a piece to her pokemon.

Riel sighed, "Aaah...I hope Lance doesn't kill me for being late," she chuckled as she scooped her Dedenne off her shoulder and into her arms. Her bright blue eyes were now filled with energy, and brightness. As she was walking, she looked up to find Lance standing in front(?) of the lab, waiting patiently. The girl walked up to Lance and gave him a smile, "Good morning Lance!" she chirped.

(( Useless information I just wanted to write Riel's appearance because it's really fun xD ))

Riel was wearing a cute ruffled white tank-top, with a black sleeves jacket on top. Fluttering around her thighs was a cute, pleated black skirt and hugging her knees were her white knee-socks. Her fluffy blonde hair was pulled back into low pigtails with a white ribbon. Her bangs were swept to the side and pinned by her Beautifly clip she had recieved from her mother a few days ago, congratulating her on her last gym badge. Adorning her feet where simple black and gray shoes with a black bow on top.

Lance looked up, he had been keeping an eye on his watch for a very long time now. The girl finally came and he resisted the urge to tell her that she was late. He figured it didn't matter as neither of them could travel back in time and sort it out.

Lance threw a pokeball and a yawning Dragonite appeared. It stretched and turned to look at its master with big happy eyes. The dragon was always happy to be of service, especially since he know had to people to fly around with, the more the merrier after all.

"Good morning." Lance said and without further wait, climbed up on the back of Dragonite, patting his strong neck. "Are you ready?"

Riel smiled, "Yeah. I already told Mum to tell Clemont so I don't need to stay here any longer," she smiled, returning Devon. "You won't like being so high up in the air, Dev. Stay in your pokeball for now, okay?" Riel said, petting her Dedenne as he returned back to his capsule. She then turned to Lance and climbed onto Dragonite. "Hi Dragonite," she greeted, smiling at the dragon.

"Oh, Lance? Where are we going?" she asked.

Lance didn't actually know where they were going. The trail had gone cold and he had no clue where Team rocket could be hiding. Dragonite waved at their new companion with his short stubby arm, smiling wildly before craning his neck to look at his trainer who seemed to be lost in thought. Perhaps they could go back to where they had taken her.

"I don't know. There were no clues as to where they are hiding. I would imagine searching for the Legendary Pokemon and finding it before Team Rocket would be the better plan." He held out his hand for her, to help her up on the pokemon's back. "Geosenge Town would be my first bet."

Riel grabbed his hand, climbing up in front of him, because she really didn't like to be in the back. The young girl glanced behind her, "Geosenge Town? Alright...I haven't been there in awhile," she chuckled, putting a lock of blonde hair behind her ear. She thought for a moment, before giving a small 'ah'. "I have a friend who's a researcher. Do you think he might be able to help with our research?" the blonde asked.

Lance shrugged as he wrapped his cape and arms around the little girl. With a nod the Dragon moved off the ground and in a matter of minutes they landed in the middle of what looked like a ruin and a village merging together. It was rather picturesque.

"I suppose it would help." He gave her a smile as he helped her off. He seemed far too used to the speed of which Dragonite flew, almost as if he didn't even notice that they had gone somewhere.

Riel smiled as she jumped off the Dragon pokemon, Lance helping her. She was a bit dizzy since the pokemon flew too fast for her and couldn't really stay balanced, "Aah...gee, Dragonite you're really fast aren't ya?" Riel smiled as she reached over and stroke Dragonite's snout. "That's quite impressive," she praised.

She then turned to Lance, with a bright smile, "Come on! I'll show you where he lives~" Riel said, grabbing Lance's hand and dragging him toward a small home near the Pokemon Center.

A small pop sounded from inside her bag, and a flash of light appeared beside Riel. The girl stopped her movement to find Devon had broken out of his pokeball and was sitting right there with a smug look on his face. Riel grumbled. "Devon..."

"Dedenne~!" the small electric mouse pokemon chirped as he climbed up his trainer's body and up onto her shoulder. She sighed, allowed him to sit there until her own shoulder ache and she'd kicked him off. Once they reached the house, Riel knocked on the door.

"Gavin? Gaaavin! It's me, Rieeel~!" she called out as she repeated knocked on the door to annoy her friend.
