Syrrus

Wishful bard
He didn't even have to throw the pokeball. Most trainers did, Team Rocket did it also but Lance didn't have to. Not when he wanted to summon forth his Dragonite, the big almost dopey looking dragon appeared instantly, almost as if it could sense that its trainer needed him. He was quite a sight too, a tall looking Dragonite with piercing blue eyes and strong looking wings, even if they were quite small. Lance was quite a sight too, with his fiery red hair and flourishing cape, almost as if he thought he was some sort of magician, many had thrown the term around and he was very much used to it. Of course, he never cared to explain that the cape was a typical symbol of a Dragon Master, which many carried out and many did not. He just enjoyed having it, it was useful, especially in cold weather.

Just as Lance thought up what move to use, his Dragonite had bounced around and thrown himself at its master, still doing its very best not to knock him off his feet, Lance was after all much shorter than the large Pokemon was. "No-- Not-- Dragonite, focus." Lance said, frowning. His pokemon was well trained and did respect him something awfully, of course they did, but seeing as Dragonite was a pokemon he had grown up with, they were also very close friends which resulted in the giant dragon to become very cuddly, which was cute when he had been a Dratini and alright to handle as a Dragonair, but as Dragonite it sure was difficult.

The pokemon did as it was told instantly, after licking its masters cheek and a big part of his hair. It turned around, scraping the ground with its foot and followed its master's lead. Hyperbeam was a devastating move and it knocked out any opponent that Team Rocket could throw Lance's way. Unfortunately as the battle ended the question still stood. Where was the hostage and how did he get to it before Team Rocket did something terrible.

It's cold. Riel thought as a long groan came from the teenager as she sat cross-legged on the cold cement floor with two Team Rocket grunts hovering over her. She had her arms crossed over her small bust and her face was red in anger. The blonde's hair fell out of it's ponytail after being tugged many times by various of grunts, demanding that she should tell them everything about Lance. Her normal, bright, cheerful sapphire eyes were now dull with tiredness and longing to close and just take a nice, long nap however the constant nagging kept her up.

"I don't know anything," Riel grumbled for the millionth time, "I don't know who the hell you're talking about. I only encountered you once! ONCE! And I get captured the next goddamn week!" she growled. Yep, Team Rocket had captured her a week after she found them abusing an innocent Eevee on Route 10. She had confronted them with a bright red face filled with anger, accusing them and yelling at them, then later almost getting killed. Luckily some odd, red-haired guy had saved her from a horrible death then scolded her for getting involved with them.

A week later, she was sleeping peacefully under the stars of Kalos and the next thing she knew, she was in a cell prison with her pokemon stripped away from her. Two different grunts would walk in, nag her about this Lance person, then walk out and then another pair of grunts would come in and it would everyday for about twelve hours. She would get about an hour or two of sleep, then rudely woken up by a grunt throwing a can of food at her.

"Can I just go now?" she whined, curling up to a ball while leaning her back against the cold stone wall. "I just want to be on a peaceful journey!" she huffed.

It was then the doors were kicked down by the large dragonic pokemon. Dragonite, no matter how cute its form was managed to look rather angry as it stared down the members of Team Rocket, surrounding a little girl, little to him but he was fairly large for a Dragonite. He made way for his trainer who entered with a flourish of his cape, pointing a long finger at the Team he knew far too well for his own liking. "Step away from the girl and no- You?!" He blinked in confusion at the young female he had seen before. Hadn't she listened? Or were Team Rocket surely that stupid.

Lance lost his posture for a moment, which meant that his Pokemon did the exact same thing, looking at its trainer with a happy smile and sparkling eyes, it was clear that the Pokemon loved him above all else and that their friendship was strong, seeing as the trainer didn't respond, probably thinking hard on what to do next, the Dragonite decided to take it in its own claws.

The question was easy, Lance wasn't going to leave the girl there, nor was he going to let Team Rocket get away with what they had done. What made Lance want to scratch his head however, was the fact that they had kidnapped this girl he knew so little about. Was she important to their mission? Did she perhaps have important information about the Legendary Pokemon they were far too interested in? Lance train of through, which actually took only a few seconds from outside his head, was interrupted by the wet tongue, which felt a little like over-used sandpaper, stroking over his cheek again, up towards his hair. Throwing himself backwards, knowing that the saliva of his Pokemon never washed out, he frowned and pointed towards Team Rocket who hadn't even have time to reach for their Pokeballs, it had all happened in a matter of ten seconds after all. "Focus!" He growled, remembering now why he always thought it so frustrating to try and do work outside of the Elite Four, seeing as the environment outside of that building made most of his Pokemon feel as if they were going on holiday, inside they would never dream of - not even his Dragonite - to lick his face in public.

The dragon instantly leaped in front of its master, who tried his hardest to wipe away the wet liquid from his cheek, which felt a lot like slime than anything else, with a rather disgusted look on his face. This had gone on for far too long and as soon as Team Rocket showed their pokemon he'd wipe them away with a Hyperbeam. Just to get this embarrassing moment to stop.

Riel jumped in shock as the doors were kicked down and a large Dragonite came into view. The blonde gave a sigh of relief when she realized it was a trainer, until she met brown eyes. Eyes widening, she pointed back at him, "You?! Uuuuagh it could've been anybody, but this guy who thinks he can handle everything..." she grumbled. Riel sat down on her butt, watching the cute scene between Lance and the Dragonite with interest, giggling as his pokemon showered him with love. "Cute," she commented. She got up, pulling her bag with her as she weaved through the paralyzed Team Rocket grunts and stood by Lance.

She turned to face the redhead, with a tired, cute smile, exhausted from three days worth of pestering grunts. "Hi. Thanks. Now goodbye," she sighed, turning away and stalking through the halls, hoping to find a room where her Pokemon were. She read the signs that told her where to head, sighing as she did so.

"I'm so tiiirrreeedd...." she grumbled, sluggishly moving around.

Grabbing her shoulder, Lance clearly had followed her. How dare she believe that he would just save her without as much as a explanation to why she was there in the first place? Usually he would just do his job, save the hostage and not even bothered with getting a 'thank you' it was his job, after all but this wasn't normal. He also had a feeling it wouldn't be the last time Team Rocket would try to get to her, if they actually had an interest in her. "Wait." He said, with his usual deep voice, attempting to stop her, causing Dragonite who walked tight behind him to pump into him from behind.

"Trainer. You are not safe here, nor outside, apparently. I would recommend you come with me, until all this is sorted out." He said, getting Dragonite back into the Pokeball without a second glance, the big dopey dragon would get his reward later in form of strange tasting but pretty lucking cupcakes. "I highly doubt they won't try and get you again, and seeing as you don't seem to have strength enough to defend yourself, I will have to do so for you." He gave her a smile, of course meaning no offence.

"Riel." The trainer grumbled. She glanced over her shoulder, "My name's Riel not "trainer." And I'm guessing you're Lance?" Riel asked, turning completely around so she faced him. Not waiting for his reply she sighed, "Well Lance, sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't need a babysitter," she snapped, crossing her arms as she did so.

She turned around, "Go ahead and follow me but once I get my Pokemon back, I'm getting out of this hell-hole and continuing my journey," Riel said, reading the signs once again. The blonde traced the wall as she walked through the halls. Not long she finally found the door that kept her Pokemon. Cautiously, she opened the door and peeked in.

"Crap," she cursed as she closed the door and backed away. She glanced over to Lance, "There's two grunts in there..." she sighed.

Lance folded his arms. He wasn't going to run around after her, he wasn't a baby sitter, as she had said herself. Clearly she didn't know the importance of stopping Team Rocket before it was too late. Sure, they were different from Team Flare, Aqua and Magma, they didn't wish to change or destroy the world but to earn money, however, they could cause grave problems to everyone living on the planets. Pokemon were not toys, nor easy to handle would you not know how.

When she actually turned towards him again, he covered his melt up by moving the cape, just a little. "Sorry, what was that? I thought you didn't need me. I apologize Riel, but I have business to attend to, and unfortunately no time to aid you, especially seeing as you don't wish me to." He gave her a smirk, which ended up looking charming more than teasingly, him and his stupid handsome face. He turned around. He had to follow the leader of Team Rocket.

"Stupid ignorant boys..." Riel growled as she watched Lance turned away, not moving around. Her face was a bit warmed from the small smirk, but hid it by glaring at him. Sighing, Riel cracking the door open and watching the grunts' carefully. Their back was turned to them and they were currently talking in hushed voices, so the blonde couldn't hear what they were talking about. The trainer then glanced around the room, looking for a place to hide. A small grin planted on her face as she found a perfect hiding spot when you enter the room.

Glancing back at Lance, who still haven't left for some odd reason, Riel gave him a small smile, "Well then. If you have business, then you better get going, hmm?" she whispered before diving into the room, and closing the door silently behind her. She gave a sigh of relief as she managed to reach her hiding spot successfully. Peeking over the wall, she watched carefully as the two grunts chattered.

"That girl has pretty well-trained pokemon..." a sentence drifted into her ears. Riel's eyebrow raised.

That girl? Could've they stolen somebodies' pokemon?! Riel thought, her eyes widening. Ah! No time to worry about that. You gotta find Fenny and the others! Riel mentally scolded herself as she glanced around the room, seeing if there was any information about the pokeballs that were lined up against the other wall that was across the room. Craaap....

Of course, without the permission to do so, Lance's Dragonite emerged again, looking as happy as could be before it noticed the girl walk into the room over there, and the fact that its trainer was walking in the other direction, clearly trying to find the intelligence he had been looking for. This would not do. Not that Dragonite had any choice but to listen to its trainer really. It was about respect, after all but seeing as Lance wasn't even aware that his favorit pokemon had left the ball, Dragonite deiced to turn and follow the girl.

It was a curious thing, to see a pokemon like Dragonite open a door with such silence, and sneaking forth with such big claws. It didn't stop until it reached Riel and by then the stopped to late and bumped its stomach against her back.

Lance had gone further down the corridor and sneaked into one of the offices rooms. Odd that Team rocket had such rooms in the first place. He figured what he was looking for could exist on a disc, somewhere in that room. Which was why he sneaked forward and of course got noticed by a member of team rocket. It would have been odd if he didn't, at least then he would have known exactly how stupid Team Rocket grunts actually were, missing a very tall, fiery red haired man with a big cape. It didn't really scream subtlety.

"Hnnnnng!" Riel held back a scream as she quickly turned around, her eyes widen with fear. She fall down against and gave a groan of pain, rubbing her bottom and unfortunately for her, the Team Rockets heard and her and turned around, spotting Riel in plain sight. When she simply turned her head and made eye contact, her first reaction was to dive in back into her hiding spot and hide behind Dragonite.

Wait.

What.

Dragonite?

Riel looked up at the large, happy-go-lucky Dragonite. "Dragonite? What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be with your hot-headed trainer? ...How'd you even get out of the ball?" she asked, but gave a little shriek with some grabbed her arms harshly and hoisted her up.

"How'd you even get out?!" A Rocket hissed in her ear.

"Let go of me!" she demanded, trying to get the rocket to release her. "I just want my pokemon back!"

Ignoring her pleas, the Rocket holding Riel captive once again turned to his partner, "Fine some rope or something, something so we can catch that Dragonite. We're not going to let some rare Dragonite roam this place! Catch it!"

Lance was tired of running into grunts, they stood no threat to his pokemon, after all. He took a pokeball off his belt and threw it, but as it landed on the ground, opened up and nothing happen his eyes widened and he turned to look over his shoulder? "Dr-..." Then a shout came into his field of hearing, that shout caught Lance off guard, he knew exactly who it was and the roar that came after it made even more sense.

Blasted Dragon...

"Brrrraaargh!" Dragonite shouted, looking awfully angry now when the mean trainers picked up his new friend, or friend of his master, it was hard to tell. Dragonite did however run forward and dashed his tail, with a spin of his heavy body, over the members knees to get them on the ground. He would then pick up the female trainer with his big silly smile, holding her between claws connected to his stubby arms, keeping her off the ground.

Riel gave a sigh of relief as they let go of her and was dangling off Dragonite. She chuckled, "Thank you Dragonite, you can set me down now..." Riel smiled. Once she reached the ground, she gave the Dragonite a big hug, "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you~!" she thanked. "Uuagh, I need to find my pokemon first!" she mumbled, running toward the lined up pokeballs. There was a small binder on a counter at the side, and Riel took her time looking through it.

"Ahah! Fennekin through Dedenne is #456 - #461," she noted, going over to find the numbers. Once she did, she quickly grabbed them off the cart and released her Fennekin out of her ball. "Fenny!" Riel grinned.

"Fennekin!" Her Fennekin barked in happiness, running up and nuzzling her head on her trainer's ankle. Riel bent down and scooped her up, hugging her tightly.

Dragonite was watching the scene in front of him, approvingly, he nodded and decided it was best for him to turn back to his own master, seeing as the little girl was now safe and well. Surely his trainer would be more than pleased with him. After roaring a 'Baarrargh!' towards the new pokemon, who he instantly decided would be his friend, the big dragon turned around, pushing some boxes aay with his tail by mistake and walked... stomped towards the door.

The door however slammed open, Lance showed himself, both hands on each side of it with anger growing in his eyes. "Dragonite..." He said, his voice all to soft and Dragonite blinked in confusion. He had never seen his trainer look so upset, nor so wet. Had he been out in the rain? No, in fact Lance had not stepped outside at all, the Pokémon that the Grunt had thrown his way, when Dragonite hadn't appeared had used water gun straight in his face, instead of aiming to hit a pokemon. It was all quite silly and emberessing for the Dragon Master. That his prime pokemon couldn't understand that 'work business' had to happen outside of the Elite four too.

Dragonite bounced up and down with excitement. He liked rain and looked very much forward to getting outside to play in it. However, seeing as Lance took a tight grip of his snout, the Dragon quickly knew what was going on and started to look rather sad, his 'horns' dangling down the sides of his face like it would on a sad puppy. "You can't leave me like that, Dopey! I thought I had lost you! Never mind the fact that I got assaulted by a Spyduck. " He called the Dragonite Dopey, not because it was the pokemon's nickname, but because it was something he often called him, when he did something that worried the trainer, upset him or annoyed him. It wasn't often he had to use it, anymore. "Please, next time you feel like wandering off, at least poke me first."

The Dragonite grunted and looked rather down trodden, staring at its feet before slowly holding out its stumpy arms looking back up a Lance, clearly wanting a hug. The Dragon master sighed but could do little else than approve of the gesture and patted the big thing on the belly. "Yes, of course... I forgive yo--- aagh!" The Dragonite instantly interrupted him by licking him straight over the face.

Riel giggled at the small reuion, "Well, thanks to your Dragonite I manage to get Fenny and the others back," she smiled, walking over to the pair and rubbing Dragonite's snout affectionately. "But, I think I caused quite a ruckus and Team Rockets are probably going to send a buttload of grunts down." she chuckled. "I gotta go~ cheerio!" she waved, fishing out one of her pokeballs and throwing it in the air.

A beautiful, elegant Espeon appeared, meowing as she weaved her way over to her trainer and rubbing her head affectionately against her leg. Riel smiled and crouched down, "Hi there Faith. Mind helping me? We need to get out but I don't know my way out..." she giggled. Her espeon chimed, nodding. Without waiting for her trainer, the pink fox bounced out of the room. Riel smiled.

"Cheerio~ Thanks again, Dragonite!" she thanked before following her Espeon, Fenny on her shoulder and her bag on her other.

Lance was right behind her and behind him was Dragonite, happily bouncing along. "I've had quite enough of you, little lady. Do you seriously not see the implications of what Team Rocket is going to do, or the fact that I wont be here, next time they take you. Because they will, seeing as these fools managed once." He raised an eyebrow at her, and her Dragonite attempted the same thing.

It was quite odd, to him, that a trainer could get taken by Team Rocket, were they not children, on their first adventure. Riel didn't look like a first-go trainer, she sure acted like one. The same hot-headedness, the same 'I need no one, gotta go my own way' attitude which could drive the Dragon Master seemingly insane. He at least had told her now, that he saw no interest in following her or that he wouldn't be able to help her, when this happened again. "At least consider following me till this is cleared up, for the sake of your pokemon. Unless you want Team Rocket to have them, I assume some have that wish too." He said, shrugging before hurrying up the stairs. He had to research the intelligence he had found.

"I've had quite enough of you, little lady." "Don't treat me like a little girl. I'm pretty sure I'm only a few years younger," Riel snapped, but Lance ignored her and continued on, "Do you seriously not see the implications of what Team Rocket is going to do, or the fact that I wont be here, next time they take you. Because they will, seeing as these fools managed once." He raised an eyebrow at her, and his Dragonite attempted the same thing.

Riel gave a small snicker as his Dragonite tried to copy Lance's expression. She sighed, pulling her hair back into a neat ponytail, "Alright. And you can't blame me! I was asleep when they captured me!" she reported harshly before turning. She gently called out to her Espeon, who turned her head then bounced over to Riel. Riel smiled, crouching down and rubbing her head gently. "Thanks for your help. Would you like to stay out?" A nod from her Espeon.

The blonde smiled, standing up. She didn't hear Lance's last line, but she did find him scurrying away. Grumbling, Riel followed him, holding her bag strap tightly and Faith bouncing behind her.

As soon as they emerged outside, into the midnight darkness - he could have sworn they hadn't spent that much time in there, apparently he was wrong though, oddly enough - Lance would turn, surprised to see her follow him. "Hmh. I suppose you are no mere little girl then. Thank you for taking me up on my offer." He nodded. He had just assumed that she wouldn't have joined him, but apparently his view on her was wrong, on more than one account and it made him feel rather bad about it. "I apologize if I offended you." He said, nodding. There, at least that sounded a bit better. Good enough for Dragonite to bounce happily around him at least.

"If you have any where you need to go before I continue my journey, with you with me obviously... Do tell. Dragonite is the quickest flying pokemon in the world, he can take us there... After all, he can travel the whole world in twelve hours, great mailmen, if I may say so myself." The dragon master smiled, patting his pokemon on the nose.

"Is that so?" Riel smiled, looking up at the large dragonite pokemon. She gave a small yawn; just now realizing she still hasn't slept for three days straight. "Is alright if you drop me at Lumoise City? Frankly, I have no idea where the heck I am." She yawned again, covering her mouth, "Sorry." she giggled, "I just realized I haven't slept in forever....those stupid grunts kept me up," she mumbled, clicking two pokeballs off her belt and returning her companions, than putting the two, and the other three into her bag so they don't fall off while in the air.

She fold her hands behind her back as she smiled at Lance, "Thanks for saving me back there." she thanked, gently until her blue eyes narrowed. "Though no thanks for semi-helping," she scoffed.

Just to make sure, because Lance hated to waste time, he asked: "You do understand that after your detour to the big city, you'll have to come with me?"

Dragonite was already preparing for the trip a head, which would only take a few minutes, by stretching his stubby limbs, looking rather silly but very determent. He wanted to show his trainers new friend exactly how quick he could go, no matter what!

Lance watched his Pokemon go through the same routine he often did before flying, not that he understand the purpose of it. Before climbing it's back and holding a hand out for the little lady. She would have to ride in front of him, so he could make sure that she didn't fall off.

"Why do I have to come with you?" Riel asked, climbing onto the Dragonite. She held onto the large orange dragon, and turned her head slightly, watching Lance climb on with a questionable look, "Will this...uh Team Rocket come for me again?" the blonde asked. She yawned again, rubbing her eyes.

Once Lance climbed on behind her, Riel yawned again. "I'm pretty strong, I can fight them you know? I have a pretty strong team," Riel grumbled.

"Yes clearly, which is why you got kidnapped in the first place. Sleeping or not." Lance raised an eyebrow at her. So... He had apologized for no reason, the girl wasn't only stubborn and in belief that she needed no one, but she was also in denial about what she could and could not do. Great, this made him look more like a taxi driver. "If you are not coming with me, then I have little choice but to let you walk to the city, I have no time to drive you a round, no matter how fast Dragonite is. You either realize that something is going wrong and that you are in danger or I'll simply leave you here and whatever fate has in store for you will happen without my intervening."

"Besides... What in the world did you actually think I was hinting at when I said 'if not for you but for your Pokémon, unless you want them to belong to Team rocket.'?" Was all females but the ones from the gyms and Elite Four that he knew this... air headed? Or was he just lucky?

"Look," Riel snapped, getting agitated by his impatient personality, "I don't know about you, but I haven't slept for three days straight," she hissed. "Not to mention I haven't heard of this 'Team Rocket' until now! When I first encounter them, I just thought they were abusive guys abusing an innocent eevee in weird clothing. Didn't think that they're more of them and that I would be captured by them in the week," the blonde scoffed.

"Kalos is a peaceful region. I have no idea where you're from, but there are rarely any crimes in Kalos. Sure, a bit in Lumiose ,but if you lived there your whole life, ahem me, you'll be fine. So, forgive me if I have no flipping idea what to do right now! Also," she paused, her eyes narrowing, "Did I mention I haven't slept in three days!?" she cried out.

She turned to face Lance, "Look, Lance," she sneered his name, "I have no idea what is going on because this is the first time I ever gotten captured and was stripped away from my pokemon. I don't know what this 'Team Rocket' can do nor do I want to. So can you please just drop me off at the city? I have a safe home there and I'll just stay there until you get this stupid thing cleared up," she sighed.

"So much for my 5th gym bade," she grumbled under her breathe. She was ready to jump off if she had to and take Asaek out for a flight, but she was honestly really tired and was about to fall asleep right there and now.

Lance looked at her as she spoke. He raised a finger in the air. "So... you haven't heard of Team Flare either then... seeing as you just called Kalos a peaceful region." He pointed out the flaws in her argument, not because she had used his name in such a unkind fashioned, after he had gone all the way there to save her but because he simply thought that if she did indeed not know about them, then perhaps teaching her about them was a good idea, before she got into even more trouble.

The girl also kept using argument that he would use to keep her close and took a deep breath before sighing heavily. "Yes you mentioned your sleeplessness twice... But think before you speak young lady. You just mentioned all the reasons to why you should come with me."

Lance was losing his temper now, he was a Dragon Master after all. Dragons were kind, proud and intelligent creatures but one something got on their nerves and caused them to lose their cool, them hell would break lose. "Listen here young lady!" He roared, anger in his eyes. Lance was after all an adult and would not have her talk like that to him. "I don't care who you think you are or how powerful you call yourself, alright?! I've dealt with a lot of people during my life time." Of course he had, he was The Dragon Master. "I do not tolerate your tone. Excuses aside, I have just wasted time saving you from Team Rocket, Time which might have taken other trainers' pokemon from them, Team Rocket isn't kind. They are not only thief but also murderers and horrible beings, not only to pokemon but also to humans."

" I am not a taxi driver, nor do I tolerated your teenage attitude. Either you do as I tell you or you get off my Pokémon so I can leave and do my damned job before Team Rocket destroys the whole blasted world! Because I am done trying to convince you to come with me, I don't have time for spoiled little girl who cannot listen to reason! Come with me or get off!!"

Lance anger made his pokemon flinch and Dragonite was staring into the distance, nervously. Lance did not meant to shout to the girl, nor hurt her feelings, but she refused to listen to reason and he didn't like children. Perhaps it was her lack of sleep but she sure acted like one.

Riel flinched at his loud voice, cowering away slightly. Tears prickled at her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away, not wanting to see weak. The blonde pouted as she turned away, resting her forehead against Dragonite's nape, "Fine. I'll come with you, happy? But can we please stop at Lumiose City? I have to at least tell my family I'm alright and tell Clemont I won't be there for the gym battle we planned out." she asked, her voice coming out soft.

Riel was actually a sweet, gentle and kind person once you get to know her. Sure, she's a bit sassy from times to times, but many of her friends call her a great person.

Unless, you know. She doesn't get to sleep for three days straight.

"I'm sorry," she muttered out again, her head still buried in Dragonite's nape. "I'm just really tired. I don't usually act like this..." she laughed. "Once we get there, how long do I get to stay? I do want my rest..."

Rubbing two fingers over his eyes Lance sighed heavily. He had notice something sparkle in the corner of her eyes, damn it all. He hadn't meant for the girl to turn upset, not at all. He had just tried to make her understand, for what seemed to be the hundreds of times. "I apologize for shouting at you. It is just very important that we get this done and that you stay safe in the mean time."

She asked how long they could stay at Lumiose, something he didn't want to think too much about. He didn't have time to spare, he guessed giving her twenty four hours wouldn't be more than polite however. "You may stay till tomorrow, I will be at the Hotel myself, perhaps the others at the Elite Four can aid me from Kanto." He added the last part more to sate his own stress than to comfort here. He even assumed that he could invite her for dinner at one of the more luxurious restaurant in the capital, even though all of them were too expensive for normal people Lance was a Elite Four member and had too much money, it was strange that it didn't pour out of his ears.

Dragonite widened his winds and went flying into the air, quickly, catching Lance of guard. It seemed like they were more in tuned than the trainer had thought. Lance wrapped his arms around the sides or Riel, wrapping his cape around her to protect her from the strong wings and leaned forward slighty, so he wouldn't get caught in a wind torrent and get thrown away like a glove.
