~Rules~

1. Play nice/fair, collaborate with others. We are here to have fun. There are elements of life and death in this RP, but I do not want that to subtract from any aspect of enjoyment.

2. Gm word is law, thus if any dispute cannot be solved, one of us will. (Currently don't have a co-gm, will ask someone if needed.)

3. Please ask before a time-skip is be made.

4. No Gary-stews/Mary-Sues etc, don't be overpowered and such. Lets all play clean here.

5. Cursing, Gore and etc is fine. Just make sure you do not violate site rules. Fade to black if need be.

6. If life becomes problematic or you simply no longer wish to participate, simply announce such in the OOC. This will avoid a lot of trouble for everyone.

7. First off, husks will only be controlled by me. Later on, I may allow people to control husks. Especially to further their characters story line/depth.

8.No speed-posting: One must wait for two other Players (not character) to posts before they make another post involving said character.

9. Night is getting rough/I need sleep. Thus if there are any rules that have been forgotten or need to be added, i reserve the right to do so later on to help facilitate the greater good of this RP. However, I will never punish someone for a rule without warning. Especially if said rule isn't currently present on the list.​

People of the north don't recognize the name “The Burden” as a good title. This stems from the fact Gin has proved to be nothing more than a reckless and cocky bastard during his time outside the southern borders.

  Magic: Never-ending Hell: Albane has an ability similar to rapid cell regeneration. It is controllable, so he doesn't have the risk of obtaining wounds so high, that he overspends mana and kills himself faster. However if his body goes unconscious, he wont have that control anymore and it will be on autopilot. Thus he essentially spends mana to heal his wounds/injuries. This is a blessing and a curse. If he uses to much energy to regenerate to many injuries, he risks expending too much mana and becoming a husk. However if he doesn't use the ability, he dies.....
  
  
  Bio: Albane doesn't choose to share his past, he only chooses to walk forward and forget what is behind him. Known as a wanderer by some, fool by others. This man is highly underestimated, due to very little people knowing of his power, just of his title or alias. Some people have been known to try to “put his alias to the test”. That is, if people even recognize him.....

Bio: Faline was born to a queen of ice magic. Her father is unknown, but assumed to be magi like her mother. The Ice Queen had a modest castle in a wintery forest that hardly saw a spray of green besides the pine trees. The castle was cold, and the servants were all human dressed head to toe in fur. Faline grew up as a little girl in the castle, never bothered by the cold but not producing any early magic. Her mother’s rule over the modest amount of land she had acquired was very tricky to manage. After all, sustenance was hard to come by. Eventually, servants began running away. The Ice Queen’s heart began to get fearful, and therefore harder, until she killed servants she even suspected of not supporting her 100%. Eventually, the humans turned on the queen and had a mock trial before beheading her. Faline was 12 years old. One of the care taker humans made sure to get the little Ice Princess out of the castle , but with nothing more than her night gown and her mother’s ice crystal necklace. Faline was unable to freeze to death in the wintery forest, but she was able to starve. Luckily, she stumbled upon a cabin of a runaway slave from many years ago, an older man with a thick beard, who let her stay and eat. After so long of being there however, Faline figured out the man knew magic. Fire magic that allowed them to cook and thus, survive. When Faline was around 16/17, her powers began emerging. The magic became stronger and stronger within her, even altering her appearance to point her ears and a blue ice crystal shape appear on her forehead. The not so little anymore princess has been seen since then, spritely moving through the winter forest by wanderers, and by others when she gets brave and travels barefoot through the snow until it disappears. There is a market near the edge of what used to be her mother’s land where the old man goes to buy and barter, and often she waits impatiently and gets seen through the trees. Thus she became a rumored Ice Elf by those who happen to catch a glimpse of the turmoiled, yet outwardly content princess.

Bio: Amaya was born in a place called Calaspia. For as long as she remembered it was well structured and had obvious laws to abide by. And for as long as she could remember she knew of the human and Magi world. Almost everyone did, she figured, but some people chose to ignore the fact Magic-Users existed. Her Kingdom wasn't too big on Magi, and because of this they created a law where only humans could live there. They were afraid.


She could't help but be curious though, as her Father was a Magi himself. Her mother on the other hand, was human. When Amaya's parents got together and had her, and she turned out human, her Father killed her mother out of anger. She didn't give him a Magic-User like he wanted, and thus she paid the price. Her Father was on the run after that, his motives extremely obvious to the law. Though Amaya never knew why she didn't have Magic abilities, she also never let herself think too much on it. She didn't fear Magi like some humans did.


Now a days, Amaya spends most of her time watching people. She doesn't talk often and even if she wanted to, she mostly kept to herself with no friends. But she didn't mind. It kept her out of trouble.

Note for onlookers: I would like to mention, the energy mana, along with magic-abilities themselves, can alter the appearances of Magi. Some individuals could look feral or beast-like, due to their magic and mana effected their body due to usage.


Also, feel free to PM contact me about lore to build/add into this world/universe for the RP. I made it open/obscure for that very reason. So this RP would have more people involved with the lore/story. My characters/plots/events will be what terrorize/occupy everyone. xD

Devastated villagers came to Haowyn, wanting to know if their family members would survive the plague, and for once Hao couldn’t answer. Soon, her people lost faith, and enraged at the fraud she had become, set out for bloodshed. Priests of the temple were slaughtered, and Hao made a clean escape. She has been traveling since.   Tobian stands 1,90 meter (6'2") tall and is very skinny (typical for a scholar, right?). His skin is fairly pale, but after four years spent on the road (and a fair amount of nasty sunburns) that has begun to change. His hair is black and his eyes are but a tad lighter colour. On his higher back, he has a large dark-blue tatoo marking his rank of a Journeyman Scholar of Darchuk.

  The best way to describe Tobian would be; Curious. Trained as a scholar in the city of New Darchuk, he has learned to be hungry for any kind of knowledge. One of the few exceptions is his disinterest in the use of common things such as "money" or "food" and he heavely relies on his assistant Tara to keep him, his wallet and their companions in good shape as he researches the world on their travels. Another thing he very much needs Talia for, is his lack of tact. Bound to the truth (as he believes any true scholar shoul be), Tobian has a habit of ending up in sticky situations due to his love for truth and loose tongue.

  Born as the eighth' son to one of the most influentual houses of the far-off island kingdom of Dharr and with little use to his family, Tobian was send to the scholars of New Darchuk at the age of 5 to at least gain some indirect prestige for his house. As a novice of Darchuk, he was no longer allowed to carry his family's name, but Tobian understood little of all this.
  
  
  Here he was trained in all sorts of disciplines and at the age of 13 he gained his new name; Tobian Stargazer, as he excelled at the art of astrology. As he became older and learned more, Tobian became interested in something his books barely covered; the great divergence between Magi and Humans, but more than that, the Husks and whatever caused them. Determined to reach his status as Master Scholar by writing a book on Husks, Magi and Humans, Tobian set out to explore the known and unknown world at the age of 22, something quite common amongst the scholars.

  Mikkel prefers not to speak of his past, but Tobian has managed to find out several things about his stoic companion. Based on his daily rituals and way of dressing, Mikkel is a follower of at least two different religions. The heavy necklace he wears is a sign that he used to be a priest of some sort once upon a time, but for the past twenty years he has been a mercenary, eventually earning somewhat of a name for himself. A collegue of Tobian recommended the man as a bodyguard and spoke highly of his trustworthyness and skill, and thus Tobian named him leader of their small band.

  Hailing from the northern wilds, Jiao-Min grew up amongst a nomadic tribe and was trained in the old ways of hunting and surviving, far away from any kind of civilization. The only contact he made with the known world was on the monthly trip his family would make to a nearby city to sell their wares. This peaceful, generally uneventful life made a turn for the worse when his family was murdered by a magi during one of their visits to a city in the far north. Left without any relatives at the age of 14, Jiao-Min took up his bow and arrows to kill the one responsible for the murder on his family. During years of resultless roaming, Jiao-Min made a living as a poacher or sometimes took up mercenary jobs. Three years ago he entered the service of Tobian Starfinder. Despite his loath for magi, the job was well-paid and Tobian's research might just finally lead him revenge.

After winning a brawl in a small harbor city, she received the attention of Mikkel and was quickly recruited for the small group of bodyguards.

  Bio: Sy was born into a refugee family in the Stronghold of Steel. When he was young, guards= loyal to Augustus arrested his father for theft and left the family destitute. From a young age, Sy learned to dream to cope for his lack of material goods and do things for himself instead of waiting for people to make his dreams become a reality. His childhood was full of knifefights that he'd win not for his strength, but for his shocking brutality and ability to think fast on his feet, and tinkering with machines and goods.
  
  
  Selling soap when he was young, mixed with sulfur to cure common skin diseases, he became somewhat of a quack when he was in his teens, trumpeting impoverished clients who he'd parade around as testimonials to get people to buy his tonics. But when he was constantly confronted in villages overflowing with refugees for cures to the sickness of the Husks, he made the grave error of selling fake cures.
  
  
  Enraged families tried to kill Symeon for his deception at least four times. His interest, after sustaining a head injury that gives him constant migraines, has been in weapons: designing them, using them, and overcoming and defeating Magi. Prostituting his mind out to any ruler or lord willing to contract him, he builds and quickly engineers new ways to kill.

For this, the King exiled him at age fourteen, at which point he traveled to Itrhin. Having lost his family, his sister, and everyone he knew, he started contemplating the meaning of the actions he had done. After a brief stint in a gang, he became a vigilante, living off the riches of corpses of his victims as he attacked criminals from the shadows.
  
  
  But the Shade met his match every time he came across a magical husk… they were so human, and so deep. But they were deadly, powerful, and competent.
