Fantasy Hunter's Moon: The Sin & Sentence [IC] [CLOSED]

Inari eyed the newcomers, glancing them over a bit. More succubi. They certainly had some interesting variation. She wasn't sure if it was a good thing or bad thing that Kassidy seemed to know this pair, but she mentally shrugged and glanced around at the others to see how they were doing as she stood just a little behind their cowgirl succubus. Inari had the rope coiled around one shoulder and watched Loque. That woman was such a drag. How anyone could let themselves behave that way was beyond her. It was almost as bad as Hudson. And at least Takato proved consistently amusing.

The kitsune looked back towards the the succubus pair, wondering if she needed to put on any moves herself. Kassidy didn't know what she was getting in to with her around, and her own thoughts made her giggle to herself.

Beth chuckled. "Yeah, you just up and vanished on that weird bike of yours." The two succubi approached, shifting their attention to the others around Kassidy. "Didn't know you were into group stuff. Always pictured you as a 'one on one' type girl. Branching out?" added Beth as they approached, eyeballing Takato especially. Irene, the blue one-horned succubus, finally spoke up as they closed in. "Quite a selection." she said, almost whispering as she looked to Seriphine.

They then took note of Loque. "A gluttony demon? My my...and she's starting to hollow. I can smell it on her." remarked Beth, be curting her eyes to Inari. "And a Kitsune! Enjoying yourself down here with us, fox? Plenty of fun to go around."

Takato, noting how he's being eyeballed by Beth, began stepping ever so closer towards Kassidy, and turned his gaze towards her instead.

Inari smirked at the demon's remark to her, but seeing Takato move closer to Kassidy, she decided to do better. The kitsune sauntered up from behind Kassidy and put her arm around the woman. "Oh yes, much good fun. I put in charge of rope!"

Beth grinned, looking to Kassidy. "I told you that you had talent! Even got a Kitsune to follow you, and you know how fickle they are." she said. Kassidy smiled and put her arm around Inari. "Yeah, we got a lot in common, ya know?" To keep up appearances, she planted a kiss on Inari's cheek, before looking to the others with her. "Come on, y'all. Let's head on over to my place. I'll see y'all later, Beth. Irene." Beth stepped out of the way, still smiling, while Irene simply watched Seriphine. Vincent smiled at the two, and took note of Irene licking her lips as she stared at the elf. She'd be one to watch out for.

As the group moved on, stepping away from the truck and the pair of succubi, Beth and Irene talked amongst themselves. Commenting on how everyone looked that Kassidy had brought. Mostly positive things, though Beth mentioned that Henderson 'wasn't a looker, but was probably great in the sheets.' Then, they spoke about having to fill their own quotas. It seemed the succubi and incubi in the territory operated under some form of quota, designated by Sekath's second-in-command. It certainly seemed to keep the lust demons busy.

They continued down the street, Kassidy walking with her arm slung around Inari's neck. "Jus' a little farther, then we head up ta my place. Just keep playin' yer parts, y'all. And don't take nothin' I do personal. Keepin' ya out of harm's way." she said. A pair of incubi eyed Wesley from across the street, which Kassidy noticed. "Ignore 'em, vamp. Just keep yer eyes on me." she said, glancing back to the vampiric ninja.

A few moments later, they reached a large building, four stories in height. They made their way inside, and climbed the spiral staircase up to the second floor. And soon, they reached Kassidy's room. The door was a blood red, with a gold '21' on the door. The doorknob matched the numbers, colored gold. "Right, now. Get inside quickly." she said, drawing a key out of her pants and unlocking the door. She shoved it open, and motioned them all inside.

The room resembled one of the typical rooms of a house in the mortal realm, though it seemed that there was a kitchen off to the side. The carpet was a dark red, much like the door, while the walls were painted a violet color. A few paintings hung here and there, and a flowery couch sat next to a small red chair and a mahogany coffee table. In a smaller room, through an open wooden door, the group could see a king size bed with satin sheets. "Make yerself at home. If ya need anything, tell me. I'll clean the table off so y'all can do yer plannin'."

As the group moved about, she paused for a moment. "Oh! And let me just do this real quick." she said. She then snapped her fingers, and the charms on Seriphine, Takato, and Henderson faded.

Seriphine watched the two succubi with growing concern. Like the others she felt the need to step closer to Kassidy, which was more of a reaction to the pure hunger witnessed in Irene's eyes rather than because of the charm. For Seriphine this was not the way she wanted anyone to look at her.

Thankfully the group moved on and once they reached Kassidy's room the charms faded. Seriphine shook her head. "What a vile place. I wish we could burn it all to the ground." She hesitated and glanced at Vincent before nodding towards Kassidy. "No offense intended, mistress."

Inari found the home to be somewhat condensed, especially with the kitchen stuffed into the place. A four story building like this was fairly tall. She was used to things a little more spread out back home, with a nice courtyard or garden, and a kitchen usually separate from the living quarters. It was a design not uncommon for the poorer folk, though this place looked far from it. Nifty.

She didn't waste any time looking the place over, poking her head into the bedroom and admiring the size of the bed, before she returned to the living room. Inari flopped down onto the ugly standing couch - clearly a foreign design - and stretched her limbs out. One foot up on the coffee table, the other stretched along the room still left on the couch. It was comfortable enough.

After Seriphine spoke, Inari glanced her way. "Burn down? Such waste. This place more better without touched and fire. Imagine time that go past to get people happy elsewhere, with belongings, too. This fine place of fun." She learned the hard way how long it could take some people to resettle. The skilled but little know Taido carpenters had lived in their village of the same name, and when some troops had burned the place down, it was nearly three years before their trade was established elsewhere. That was three years without some really nice fans and sandals in that region, among other things.

After a second, she shrugged. "Ah, but if burn down, good loot and slaves, I think. Not that I agree with slave taking, very old-fashioned, but okay for short time. Get good work done then let go. Mmm... unless when taking husband, eh? Never let go then!" She cackled a bit more and played around with the rope she had, tying one end into a knot and swinging it about in a playful manner. She looked around for Loque, considering her prospects of playing with that woman to cheer her up.

Takato kept close as the group moved away from the other two succubi and approached the Adonian-reminiscent apartment building. Entering Kassidy's room, Takato looked over it with the same fashion that one's partner would have seeing their place for the first time. But before those thoughts could continue, Kassidy broke the charm on them.

Takato nearly lost his balance as he regained full conscious control, his skin appearing in its full original red, before everything about him returned to how it normally looked like on the journey. He placed his hand on his head, as he spoke under his breath.

"...at least I'm not eating tofu or fried rice today..." could barely be heard, as he stretched and attempted to return to normalcy. The deed has been done, and he just felt glad that it was.

Loque chimes in regarding Seriphine’s statement.
“What a vile place. I wish we could burn it all to the ground."
They all need to burn...” she unknowingly murmurs aloud.

Whatever it was the group was going to plan, Loque isn't really in the mood to take part or help them scheme. Whatever they want to plan probably wouldn't work anyway, so why bother? The couch looks comfortable at least, and after checking it for any sort of stains, Loque reclines back on it and starts drifting off to sleep.

Senya walked into the door and spotted the room, seeing the others in observing the rather small place. Maybe there was something good in the fridge, Senya thought before she walked over to the kitchen. She opened the fridge, checking the food supply.

Inari watched Loque as the demon sat down on the couch, and she smirked to herself. She leaned over a little bit and tossed the end of the rope at her. "Spspsps.... spspspsp.... look, is snake come to get you!" She said, wiggling the rope around so it would hit the woman's leg, retreat, and then return. "Big python come to say hello, so say hello back. Spspspsp.... spspspsp," she said, continuing to make her hissing noises.

"Big python come to say hello, so say hello back. Spspspsp.... spspspsp,"

Loque shudders and twitches a bit as Inari played around with the rope. She looks at the rope, keeping her gaze fixed on it as it was dangled around before looking at Inari. The blackened eye sockets under her steel mask flare up with just a little simmer of life seeping back into them, though only for a moment.

Ha... h-ha!...”

Even if it was just a small giggle, it’ll do for now.

"Oh thank whatever is up there in the heavens!" Henderson exclaimed as the charm wore off. "I didn't know how long I could keep from taking a bite out of you." He shook off the effect from his head. She still looked alright to eat, but he would save that detail. No need to trouble her with anything else. Besides, he could control himself rather well.

He looked to where Inari was playing with the rope. What was this woman actually? Forest critter doesn't begin to cover it.

"I hear noise but not hear hello, speak up, snake will go way soon, and be sad he not hear a hello... spspps... spspsps...." She said, wiggling the rope around a little more.

"I hear noise but not hear hello, speak up, snake will go way soon, and be sad he not hear a hello... spspps... spspsps...."

“Uh...” Loque can’t believe she’s going along with Inari’s childish antics, but wonders where she’s taking it. “...Hello?”

She throws in a wave for good measure.

So far it's been a good few minutes as Senya kept opening and closing the fridge as if food would magically appear inside. Canned goods like green beans and corn. There's a cart of milk in there, she doesn't know if its expired by now. She heard Henderson by her side, wondering if there's anything good in here. Senya shrugged, giving him the cart of milk so he can try it out. "See if its any good. Might have expired by now knowing this territory." Senya muttered before finding frozen meat in the freezer section, tossing it on the counter.

Henderson grabbed the carton. He could already tell the state of it from the smell alone. Smelled about a day or two past it's expiration date.

"It smells funny." He poured some of it in his maw "It tastes funny as well. Likely spoiled." He pondered for a moment, was this milk as they know it from livestock or something else? Was this demon milk? If yes, what kind? Should he bring it up? No, but he will anyway "This might be demon milk for all we know."

"Ah, hello," Inari says, throwing her voice into an even deeper rasp. She wiggles the rope around near Loque as she makes 'the snake' talk. "You make sad noise and show. Why you do such thing? Why demon sad when snake not sad? There no drought, no famine. No people dead."

"You make sad noise and show. Why you do such thing? Why demon sad when snake not sad? There no drought, no famine. No people dead."

The million mile stare beneath Loque’s mask looks back at Inari. “It’s not drought, or death, or famine that makes me sad... It’s other things.”

"Ah, spspspsp... but what other things? If not drought or famine, times in which no hands can fix troubles, then what cause such sadness? Spspsppsps... perhaps it thing that can be fixed then," Inari said, continuing to speak like the snake. Her gaze was fixed on the rope and she didn't even look up at Loque.

"Ah, spspspsp... but what other things? If not drought or famine, times in which no hands can fix troubles, then what cause such sadness? Spspsppsps... perhaps it thing that can be fixed then,"

Can she really trust Inari with the truth? The same person that dug up the agonizing horrors that were inflicted upon her decades ago? The horrors of which she failed burying underneath mountains of wine, opiates, food, money, and other hedonistic pleasures and pursuits? She thinks not. She may mean well and she might have apologized in the way she thought was best for what she did back at the church, but to Loque, she hasn’t really earned that right. Even if she did, thanks to Venextos abandoning her, her ‘standards’ are higher now. Besides, she cannot risk Inari knowing, because what else does she know but pointless fighting and blissful ignorance? She’ll probably just taunt Loque about it, just like any of them would, but especially her as she seems to be the type.

“... No. You can’t fix it. There’s no fixing it in a place like this. Not with these monsters around.”

Her eyes shift over to Kassidy; a nasty look buried deep within them.

The little rope snake cackled, swaying as Inari made it dance. "Spspspsp... how foolish, standing creature. All can be fixed with hands, and for that, I hate you, those who walk on legs. For I have no hands, no feets, and I must endure. When drought come, I cannot run. When famine come, I cannot travel to eat. You who have hand and feet, you can run, or you can fix. When land flood, hands make boat, and I drown. When hawk in sky, I hide in grass, but you take bow and kill. How you say you cannot fix thing when you have hands and feet? Spspspsps...."

After stretching, Takato felt no need to sit down, and just walked about the room, observing the paintings on the wall. He paid no mind to Senya and Henderson, due to him not needing to eat, but as Inari continued her play with the rope, Takato turned to face her and Loque and just... observed what was going down.

From being able to alienate others to such a degree, to being able to break through Loque and have her speak, Inari's social skills continued to surprise Takato. He genuinely had not a thing to say.

Senya sighed, disappointed demon food wasn't like the stuff back in Florentina. Food matters aside, she had to wonder what was the next step in their plan. Perhaps it was okay to dig in, she used the kitchen to cook up the frozen meat, beef chuck from the looks of it. It took a little bit of her time to cook the darn thing, using a pan to heat the meat up. Her helmet and coif was sitting on the counter. Her hair sitting on her shoulders while the meat looked... agreeable. She turned the stove off too early, lifting the pan and tossed the slab of dark meat on a ceramic plate. Senya blinked, leaning in to smell it using her Warden senses. She sat down, utensils and food ready to eat. The Warden took a big bite, judging her cooking skills. The meat's taste was... okay. She didn't hate it, but Rena was more of a cook than her.
