Fantasy Hunter's Moon: The Sin & Sentence [IC] [CLOSED]

Hudson made a reach for his weapon as Xager appearing behind them from nowhere, though upon recognizing her and seeing those supply crates he lowered his combat stance. Riberta asked theexact question he was prepared to, which merely prompted a slow shake of his head.

Walking by her he went right for the crates, stocking up on rations as well as the map they needed as he read it. Looking around, he began to shuffle about to get his bearings, using their relation to Sekath's territory as a landmark. "We will, thanks." the hunter said to the demon's criticizing. "Let's get going." Hudson stowed the map away and continued to trek south. His legs were growing tired but he could not afford to rest.

Loque didn't move or say much as they rolled towards the city; she instead remained just as empty as she has been moments ago. Rolling into Naraka's outskirts didn't interest her much as it did the others, though she did take a peek outside the truck just to see what all the commotion was about. At first, she remained motionless, staring only at the blank air between the truck and her surroundings. Then, her dull eyes got a good look at those truly unfortunate people ensnared by the charms of the lust demons. Looking at them, the way they were so content with walking to their doom finally made her feel something. This something running up her spine finally snapped her out of her lifeless state, even if it was only for a moment. She needed to warn them of what'll become of them. She needed to tell them of all the disgusting plans and fates that lay ahead of them. She needed to scream to them at the top of her lungs to wake them up so they can run away and find safety from their obscenely depraved captors, and the blazing urge to do so burned hotter and hotter the deeper they went into the city. Until finally...

... A pathetic gasp and rattle comes out of her mouth, barely heard even by those around her. The life exited her body just as quickly as it entered, so she went back to sit at her spot; sitting there, feeling hollow.

Takato wasn't sure how to feel about Kassidy's suggestion they try to act like they fawning all over her. He has never fawned over anyone in that sense, ever. At best, he tried to minimize his own presence, to make himself seem less appealing to the denizens of Naraka. If necessary, he would even ask Inari to assist him in making an illusion of himself, fawning based on Inari's input, though he wasn't much of an illusionist. Why she would help him despite their relations, he wouldn't know, but to sweeten the deal, he'd give her complete creative control over the illusion. As much as he might protest over his image, it would be his safest bet. Seeing the denizens, he looked on sadly at their nature.

Watching instead the changing environment then, going from the grassy to the urbanized, Takato experienced a same feeling of astoundment that he experienced when he saw the cities of Adonia for the first time. The urban development, the industrialization, everything... He could only nod in agreeance to Vincent's statement as they saw inner Naraka from the outskirts.

"There's a problem with that plan here." Henderon looked at Kassidy "My mutations caused a major shit in biology and to make a long and boring story short." He pointed to his crotch area "That thing down there is only good for pissing and I'm sure I don't have to tell you how much the urge to fuck plays into the whole enamored bit." If it was any other time, he would find it comical and the lack of sex drive has been a boon to him for the most part, making him resistant to vampires trying their luck to seduce him before he ripped into them, but for something like this it would cause a major break in their masquerade. Lust isn't limited to sex, but he's been emotionally detached from those feeling for so long, he could hardly replicate them convincingly, let alone fake them. If the other demons figure it out, then they can make a move to charm him and the others. "Unless you want me to substitute them with my other desires while looking at you."

Takato looked over to Henderson, after he brought up his own difficulties with Kassidy's suggestion. Perhaps now than ever it would be a good time to vocalize his thoughts and ideas.

"...the plan is rather inconvenient for myself as well. Though not faced with the same issues as Henderson, in the past 800 or so years, one of my master's teachings I've continued to follow is that of celibacy. Though my master and I are of minority thought when it comes to such things in Douean thinking, true to it I stand. Such emotions, of lust, of sexual desire, would be hard to act out," he began.

"Though then the thought arose - would the usage of illusions assist us? Though I'm not one to generate wonders using my cultivated shen, even if my illusionary abilities are on the weaker side, if a collaboration was done with one whose illusionary abilities were grander, perhaps the usage of illusions would be more feasible. And we have one such individual..." Takato said, before turning his gaze towards Inari.

"...I bet you've had to deal with some proper idiots in your time, too."

Seriphine was about to say something regarding just how she had dealt with idiots in her time but something stopped her. This is so confusing.

Looking at Vincent she nodded. "It is never too late to change or redeem." Especially not if said idiot's continued well-being is on the line.

-----

As per her usual routine Seriphine didn't say much. During the journey she took the opportunity to clean her blades from all the disgusting demon blood. A shame to put such elegant and masterfully crafted weapon to use against something as vile and unworthy as demonic spawn. Then again they had been used for worse. Things that made Seriphine uncomfortable the longer she thought about it.

Maybe they weren't so pure after all?

Once they entered the Domain of Lust Seriphine appeared visibly disgusted. Not only were there an abundance in inferior demonic spawn, for they lacked proper weapons to die a honorable death, but their activities alone made Seriphine shiver. The lust itself wasn't a feeling unfamiliar to her. Lust existed in many forms. Lust for love. Lust for pleasure. Lust for riches. Lust for domination. Lust for war.

But lust was also weakness. It was deceitful. It was fleeting, betraying and distracting. Seriphine had rarely ever "succumbed" to her urges. Breeding had been a matter of continuing her bloodline, to ensure strong Elven blood and purity. A task which had all been for nothing if today's historic archives were to speak. No, for Seriphine this area was a combination of something disgusting and something alien.

It only got worse when Kassidy, the allied demonspawn, spoke about the party carrying out their own deception of lust. Seriphine didn't like the thought. On one hand she failed to see just how she would to do it and on the other hand she felt like stabbing the problem was a far more apt and suitable solution. But then more problems presented themselves. Henderson, the rather large specimen, announced his impotence. A pity. Blood like his would have been invaluable for my future warhost. For a mere moment she glanced at Vincent before looking at Takato who also voiced his own problems.

How difficult could it possibly be for two male beings to pretend that they like something they see? Had her own soldiers been such as these two she would've never had a warhost in the first place. A terrifying thought for sure.

Without caring whether she was interfering or not the Elven warlord spoke up. "I refuse to partake in charades. I need not to pretend or deceive. Our enemies will learn that their little tricks will have no effect on me for I am of far superior blood to all of you," Seriphine proudly announced.

"You'll be gargling cocks in the abyss as soon as one of them tickles your ego." Henderson said in a rather calm tone "Your type is the easiest to seduce. Just dangle empty promises in front of you and" he snapped his finger "You start following along. Your blood smells the same as anyone here, so you can drop that bollocks too. We have work to do."

Seriphine's eyes widened, her jaw clenched and her ears went backwards akin to a cat ready to strike. She rested her right hand on the handle of one of her daggers.

"How dare you?"

"Huh... oh, illusions?" Inari said, noticing Takato looking towards her as she looked away from the back of the truck and towards the interior. "Yes, yes, I can make many pretty picture. No wonder you so dull, you a celibate. Very sad for Henderson, but you like rusting sword use for toothpick. Maybe all you have is toothpick. Heh."

When Seriphine spoke up, Inari couldn't help but laugh, and she covered her mouth and snickered. "You may not have toothpick between legs, but toothpick between ears. How you live so long without tripping over beetle? Hah, maybe this make play look better. We have rope - we can tie and make blindfold and gag mouth. Willingness don't matter," she chuckled again, almost ominously. Henderson added some good substance to the conversation, but the elf went closer to the deep end and started shouting.

"Ah, yes. Rope time. Where rope go? Rope, rope, come here," she said, whistling, crawling around the back of the truck searching for it.

Venextos gave a respectful nod to Xager, and although he was displeased at Hudson's continued lack of respect his feelings of relief were stronger at the moment. "Thank you for your aid, Xager. Though we might be heading to our collective demise, we still hold on to that hope that we might pull off our idea. Even if it is a fool's hope." he spoke with a somber tone.

Henderson remained indifferent to her. She was angry, everything from her stance to her smell gave it away. He glanced quickly to her reaching for her knife. He truck a nerve. Good. Inari however, as always had to make a comment in her own way.

"It's like a horse, but why flaunt it when you can't use it." He shrugged while looking at her" Let it be a lesson to the world, don't play god if you can't account for all the variables." He looked back at the elf "Oh put that butter knife away. You're ready to pounce with murder over this, what possible self-control will you have when one of the demons makes a go at you? "

Kassidy glanced back to them as the truck stopped, allowing demons and their entourages to cross the street in front of the vehicle. "There's always the OTHER way, ya know. Like, actually charmin' you to keep ya quiet. Either ya act right, or I can force ya. I'm not letting y'all get caught." she said, her black and gold eyes looking between the members of the group in the back of the vehicle. She looked to Takato after a few moments. "...I can cast a little charm on ya. Basically makes ya feel light headed and wanna do what I say. Same goes with the rest of ya. It won't make ya wanna rail me or anythin'." She then looked to the group's elf. Seriphine. "...You, I might have ta put a little effort in. You seem like yer the headstrong type." she muttered, looking the elf over before glancing back to the others. "It won't be permanent. I'll cancel the charm as soon as we reach my place, and you'll be back to yerselves. Sound fine?"

Vincent looked to the others. "Well...its either that, or we get caught the minute someone talks to us." he said, looking between Takato, Henderson, and Seriphine. "Inari and I can play the part and act it all out. If you feel like you can't act it out, Kassidy can charm you. Sounds like a decent enough plan to get us into safety."

------
"...Tell Tariun I apologize. I wish I could have worded myself better and... please, if you see the others later, tell them to take care and be careful on their mission, alright?"

Xager's piercing eyes looked back to Jakob, and she simply nodded. "...I'll let Tariun know. And I'll try and convince her to help you again. And I'll tell the others that you're alright for the time being." she said. She glanced back to Hudson after a moment, then spoke once more to Jakob. "...He doesn't understand us. And seems to refuse to want to understand us. As for you..." she said, pausing for a moment before speaking again, "...Think about what Tariun said. Please."

After the group gathered the supplies they needed, she looked to Venextos. "And take care of yourselves. The path you all have chosen is the hardest of them all." she said finally. And a moment later, the demon disappeared along with the crates she had brought with her. Leaving the small group alone in the wastes.

Takato pondered the suggestion Kassidy gave for a moment - her charm, at the very least, seemed different from what they've been told. Rather than being based on lust, it seemed entirely focused on making one susceptible enough for coercion. It seemed not like possession, the tangki kind, or the Yinshan-like love/lust other succubi can do, but possibly more akin to a priest briefly reanimating a dead body as to have them hop their way home for burial. He questioned its viability, considering his lack of lust and desire, which may even make such coercion seem questionable. But what more would be his freedom;

For many here in this land, it could be argued that they were, in some ways, in accordance with the Dou; for they desired little but lust or its satisfaction, are in correspondence with their surroundings, and have forgotten about the self, leaving nothing to be repressed, content with their situation and understanding of it, but not going against it before the natural collapse of the system. One could even add to that the fact that, perhaps, the Dou was the one that had led them to this position, for this was the natural way, the path, to go. Takato was not of this land, and was, in fact, actively opposing it; for unlike they, he had no such desire. To this land, he was its antithesis. He even had the expectations for things to go better, for this mission, and for himself. The self... he conceived himself a siennyin, a hermit, and all that entails, including coming to the aid of another and displaying the utmost kindness if danger approaches. But to achieve freedom is to give up the self, to become truly one with the Dou, with no expectations, desires, self-conceptions, and in turn, constraints and limitations. Was this the contradiction of the siennyin? To be so close yet so far from the Enlightened? Or has he misunderstood it, as he had done many times in the past, and no such contradiction existed? Was what he briefly considered now his self genuinely in accordance with the Dou?

Either way, this thought process confirmed to him one thing - to be charmed, is a difficult proposition. Though to be charmed would be to go with the Dou, for it would ease the mission and, in turn, be in accordance with it, and with his surroundings, to go through with it would be to ever briefly go against his mission, and the Dou, for his actions would not be of the Dou, but of another. But then, perhaps this was what the Dou intended of him. He was not a puppet to be pushed around, nor is the environment a puppet for him to push. He can do what he wills, but he can't will what he wills - though one makes decisions, it is in accordance to the Dou; one's behavior is the Dou's behavior, and vice-versa, in mutuality, transactionality...

The impossibility of making assertions on the Dou, and the many views that have manifested of it, by many philosophers of the divided lands of Upper Redonia, make this matter difficult... he will have to leave the philosophical ramblings to himself and concentrate on the viability of the coercion.

"...even if such a charm were cast on Henderson and I, in how far would it be able to assist us if neither has the basis needed? You may make us susceptible to your whims, but in how far would we be able to do as you say, and seem convincing?" Takato asked.

"...even if such a charm were cast on Henderson and I, in how far would it be able to assist us if neither has the basis needed? You may make us susceptible to your whims, but in how far would we be able to do as you say, and seem convincing?"

Kassidy cut Takato a look. "I'm a succubus. A lust demon. Ya act like I can't feed ya a little lust ta work with. Just enough ta make the charm work, of course. And if yer worried I'm gonna make ya do somethin' stupid, don't. Like I said before, I'm just makin' sure you and the others make it out of here without gettin' molested or enslaved. I'll remove the charm once yer in safety." she stated. "Yer just gonna be more inclined ta do what I say, because I look pretty or smell nice or somethin'. It varies. When the others talk to ya, you'll act like I'm the only thing that has yer attention, hangin' on my every word. That's all there is to it, besides followin' me 'round."

Takato nodded in response. Though philosophically, allowing himself to fall under coercion under any circumstances is questionable, it is doubtless that this method seems more reliable than his earlier proposition of illusions. And certainly, Kassidy was trustworthy, to an extent at least. Would whatever actions he did still count as his if it was his decision to be charmed, despite being coerced by another?

...Takato pauses the internal philosophing and opts to answer her before he went off the deep end again.

"Understood. Succubi aren't something that has manifested fully in Redonia, at least conceptually. The closest we know, such as termagant ghosts or kitsune, only partially fit the bill, so excuse me for not being fully aware of their abilities," Takato bowed.

"We don't really have much choice but to try." Henderson glanced to Takato, the foreign demon was a curious one in nature, harmless if they were somewhere else but the Abyss, if annoying "Go on then. Lets see if this will work."

Inari found the rope again, but with Seriphine not currently causing a ruckus, she stopped crawling around and laid down in the middle of the truck bed. She listened in to Kassidy talk with Takato, along with Henderson chiming in.

"I hear kitsune be said - that me! Kitsune best over succubi, ah, no offense. I can make look like anything. And take lifeforce in fun way, but I think taking life in any way can be fun, but you know what I say, I think." To emphasize just in case, she made a rude gesture with her hands to demonstrate what she meant. "Ah, anyway, is embarrassing that some need charm to act proper! How hard to act loose?"

She laughed again to herself and then held the rope up into the air. "I also can make costume with rope. Rope can do lot of thing. Heh. Not just hand and arms to be bound, but to be worn like clothes, too." She then glanced over towards the elf and pointed at her. "But I make you into rope puppet if must if you not behave. Rope is for naughty people."

Kassidy gave both Henderson and Takato a nod, then held her hand up to her face. As if she were blowing them both a kiss. And then she exhaled, sending a gentle gust of pinkish mist towards both Henderson and Takato. She then did the same to Seriphine, putting a little more effort into the charm to get through to the elven warlord.

Sekath's Territory - Naraka - Misc. Rolls
Kassidy attempts to charm Henderson. D6 used. Chance Roll = 4. Chance Successful. Henderson is now charmed.
Kassidy attempts to charm Takato. D6 used. Chance Roll = 6. Chance Successful. Takato is now charmed.
Kassidy attempts to charm Seriphine. Seriphine is resistant to psychological effects (Fierce Conqueror.) D6 used. Chance Roll must be higher than 5 to succeed. Chance Roll = 6. Chance Successful. Seriphine is now charmed.
The mist floated into their faces and was promptly inhaled. A moment later, Seriphine and Takato's eyes gave off a brief pink colored hue before returning to normal. Henderson's took a few more moments, before doing the same. "Great. It worked on all three of 'em. Let's test it." she said, looking to the others. "Alright boys and elf...who's the best succubus 'round?" she asked, smirking ever so slightly.

"I want to eat you more now." Henderson blinked rapidly once he realized what he said, visibly confused and he realized that things were really screwed up inside "It worked! Not in the right way, but it worked."

Takato gulped as the pinkish mist of the succubi approached his face and was promptly inhaled. As the mist passed through him, he could feel its effects upon his person, altering his mind. He could even feel something new arise in him, a feeling foreign, one that would go as the mist would... one of desire, to an extent unfelt before. His eyes shifted to a pink-colored hue, before returning to what they were, and then, subsequently, turning slightly lighter. For what little of his hair could be seen, it too appeared lighter. And his skin seemed slightly redder.

Upon hearing Kassidy's question, he placed his hand on his chest.

"Madam dearest, to ask such a question of us... does your mind doubt us so? Truly, only you are fitting, to be the best. To be my mas-" Takato began to say, before seemingly stammering mid-sentence and stretching his neck towards all directions, as though he fundamentally disagreed with what he was saying, before returning to how he just was, "A-apologies, my madame..."

Seriphine looked at Henderson with nothing but hatred in her eyes. Her name had been slandered and the mutant had filled her mind with disgusting thoughts.

Pouting with her lips Seriphine crossed her arms and fell silent as the others continued to ramble about their manhoods (or lack of).

Having ignored what was being said Seriphine had little to no time to react as Kass assaulted her with her airborne witchcraft.

For a moment Seriphine held her breath and waved her hands to repel the attack though such measures proved to be in vain.

Blinking several times Seriphine looked at Kassidy. "What did you do, demon? I will cleav-"

Seriphine stopped and blinked once more. Deep inside she could feel warmth. The kind of warmth she had not felt for a very long time. At the same time Seriphine felt her cheeks turn red, this in turn made her ears wiggle briefly.

"I...I uh, I'm confused."

The Elf forced herself to look away from Kass. "This is vile sorcery. Is all of this really needed?"

Inari watched Kassidy perform her little spell, and she eyed the three subjects curiously to see how well it worked. She felt it was cheating, somewhat, since the kitsune usually had to put a little more work into their efforts than a mere blown kiss. Still, that didn't take away from the entertainment value....

She chuckled when Henderson spoke, but Takato's words got her to practically bark, and she began laughing uproariously. She put both hands over her muzzle to try and keep her mouth shut, but she couldn't quite manage as she snickered and cackled to herself. "[Incredible! So much for the Dou, eh, hermit-kun?]" She babbled a little bit more in her native tongue before switching back over. "Aha, how embarrassing! I wish sour jester was here so I can see him be even more foolish! Pfhaha...."

Inari glanced towards the elf and noticed the effects also starting to work on her as well, causing a new laughing fit. So much for the strong elven will! The kitsune tossed one end of the rope towards the elf playfully. "Now you tie self up, yes? Or maybe I tie all three of you together!"

Takato looked over to Inari, responding to her in Lower Redonian:

"[Laughing as though the Dou had not allowed this to occur, allowing me to come closer to how it is done in this environment, forgetting myself, and desiring little but the demon. Perhaps it is you who needs to be laughed at,]" he responded, before once more seizing up and stretching his neck, and returning to how he had just been, with a sigh.

"[This will take a moment...]" he said with a blush.

Kassidy was a little disturbed by Henderson's response, but Takato's and Seriphine's were exactly what was needed. "Yeah, its needed. It prevents other succubi from seducin' ya too, since I charmed ya." She glanced over along with Vincent at Inari, whom was trying to prevent herself from laughing loudly before tossing the rope playfully towards Seriphine. Mentioning that she could tie all three of 'em up. "No rope's needed, Kitsune. Just gotta act natural...bring the rope just in case, though. Yer friend there is startin' to hollow out. If they see her, they'll think we're tryin' to 'breathe a little life inta her'. The rope will look like we're just bein' cautious 'bout her. Don't tie her, though...that might turn into a bad situation."

Vincent nodded, motioning to the rope. "Roll it up and carry it with you." he said, before looking to the others. "Alright...We can do this. Its just like theater, right? We're all playing a part." He then looked to Loque. "...Loque, we're not going to let anything happen to you. Alright? We'll keep you safe."

The truck rolled down the street further, before pulling over to the side of the road just a block from a tall building. It reminded Vincent of some of the buildings he had seen in Eternis which were starting to spring up. 'Apartments', they were called. Basically large hotel rooms which were modified to be lived in near permanently. He wondered if the idea would ever catch on in a general widespread scale, really. Kassidy turned off the engine, and motioned for everyone to get out. "Follow my lead, and don't do somethin' stupid." she said, before slipping out of her seat onto the cobblestone road. Vincent motioned for the others to climb out the back, and soon they were all standing in the street. Surrounding Kassidy.

And it wasn't long before a pair of demons spotted them and called out to their blue demon friend. "KASS! Where have you been, girl? We were lookin' for you!" shouted one succubus, with lovely red skin and long black hair which nearly hid her small pair of horns atop her head. The other had a skin color similar to Kassidy's though more purple and with one single long horn jutting from her forehead, like a unicorn. Splitting her reddish-brown hair. Kassidy looked to the others. "Shit, its Beth and Irena. Remember what I said." she muttered, before looking back to the succubi approaching them. "Hey girls! Was outta town, catchin' up on my quota. Sorry I didn't leave y'all a message or nothin'."

"...Loque, we're not going to let anything happen to you. Alright? We'll keep you safe."
Loque didn't even bother looking towards Vincent, content with ignoring him just as he ignored her earlier out of a newfound spite for him. They can't keep her safe. None of them can. His assurance made her feel nothing since she refuses to count on them.
"Shit, its Beth and Irena. Remember what I said."
She’s already forgotten. She didn’t care to remember. She stares straight with her eyes half-closed, probably not even realizing there’s a pair of succubi that’s noticed them.
