Fantasy Hunter's Moon: The Sin & Sentence [IC] [CLOSED]

"You can make friends with these fools, but you won't get the chance with me."
One last drink goes down, just for the cold of Hudson's presence. "Pay-... pay him no mind, beau, he's beeeeen..."

*THUD*

And finally she's out for the count. The loud thud of her head slapping the counter serving as punctuation.

Wesix glanced down at Loque's unconcious body, then looked to Senya. "That was the strongest tequila that we lust demons make." he remarked, before looking to Jakob. "Sir, I'm two thousand and eighty nine..." he stated, his voice trailing off as he fetched Jakob's beer.

The hunter was moving slowly back toward the kitchen, yet he paused when the talk of the Witlock inquiry cropped up. Looking over his shoulder he noted Jakob's approach, barely just catching the last few words. Turning on his heel, he made his way back just as Loque passed out. Hudson paid no mind.

"... Cursed them?" he repeated. "What do you mean?"

“I suppose this is a long vendetta for the Lich King then." Senya stated before Loque immediately planted her head against the counter. Senya grunted at the impact, sighing harshly. She heard Jakob recall the last Inquiry back in Grimtham, where everything went wrong as Cassiel explained.

Jakob looked over at Wesix and smiled at him. "Look lover boy, you look like a kid, I will call you a kid, might as well accept it." He grabbed he beer and let out a friendly laughter. "Just jokin' don't get offended now, or you'll remind me of my ol' bud Aleister" He then looked at Hudson as asked about the curse, Jakob looked a bit confused at first, he figured that Hudson would know, being married with Camille. But eventually eventually he spoke again.

"Sazak... he cursed every single one of us, I think the only exception to his cruelty was Erwin, but I haven't heard of the man in years... I do not know of the others curse besides Wesley's, who has to cover his face otherwise he might be stalked by a crazed fan, and Theodore was clearly traumatized by his but refused to talk about it with me. As for the others... Ethy disappeared and Aleister is going a dark path and I can only imagine what sparked it was the curse. I don't know what happened to your wife... or to the mysterious man named Francis that joined them shortly after" he looked at the beer in his hand. "...as for me, that bastard... he..." he took a deep breath before speaking again. "He... gave my wife the same cancer that killed my boy... he... made her suffer like a wounded animal." He quickly wiped his tears and cleared his throat. "...sorry, still a painful memory."

"Wh... What?" he asked again, rasping as he took a step back and reached for his mask. As Jakob began to describe the afflictions Sazak imparted on the others his ears began to rang, the sounds that served as the backdrop of his horrible nightmare returning, distant but impossible to ignore. Unfortunately it meant he could not even focus on how Jakob was wronged, having not heard it at all.

"She never told me..." he whispered to himself, barely audible as he withdrew his shaking palm from his faceplate. His hands quickly balled into fists, and he drew his bastard sword and took a heavy swing, shouting with a furious, white-hot anger. The blade was not targeted at anyone in particular, to his credit, yet it carved a deep slash into the bar counter as glasses rattled from the impact.

"That... FUCKING monster!" he roared, pulling his blade out with some effort before he began to strike the bar again. Another fierce cut, which he began to pry the sword from to make another.

"HEY!" Jakob was surprised as Hudson took his anger on the counter, but he began to worry that the Demon hunter might take it on the demon bartender or the demon girl that was nearby. "HEY!" Jakob quickly grabbed Hudson and pulled him away from his blade. "Hudson what in the Abyss are you doing man?!"

The force of Hudson smashing into the counter was so great that it caused Loque’s drunk, unconscious self to flop up like a fish and land sloppily onto the floor.

Venextos quickly backed off and watched in silence as Hudson began tearing through the bar with his sword. He hoped that Jakob, or someone else, would be capable of convincing the man to snap out of his rage but readied himself for the possibility of having to restrain the man.

Wesix watched the man drive his sword into the bar, then attempt to pry it out as Jakob began to tug on Hudson. He sighed, before shaking his head. It wasn't the first time property had been damaged on the train, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. Still, he could stop things. Hudson probably would like him less that he already did.

"Sir, let him go. I handle stuff like this quite well." he said, looking to Jakob. Then, he looked to Hudson. "Hudson, could you be a dear and just...lay down your sword for me? It must getting awful heavy." he then said. A strange sensation came over all those that heard the demon's voice. Pleasant to the ears, and it almost made the heart flutter a bit. But none of them felt it moreso than Hudson. The incubus was using his charms to quell Hudson's anger.

The blade was hard to pry away feom his person given the fact it was chained to him, but Jakob's intervention did get him to stop the swings as he tried to wrestle him off of the weapon. Hudson made an attempt to violently shove Jakob, but soon stopped in his tracks once he realized who he was about to get into a fist fight with. The blade remained stuck in the counter, the man losing the drive to keep swinging it as he was charmed into calming down. Well, calm as the hunter could be in this instance.

"That... That fucking demon..." he sputtered, hands shaking as he lowered them to his sides. "I'll fucking kill him. I'll rip him apart with my bare fucking hands! Just like he made me do to our son!"

Jakob did what Wesix asked, a bit annoyed at the incubus for getting involved, but despite the demons charm, Jakob quickly snapped out of it as he was shocked by what Hudson said. "W-what...?" He asked while carefully approaching the man. "What did that monster do to Camille? what did he do to you?" He asked with genuine concern.

Hudson was panting, continuing to step away as his mind was fixated on that event. He was unable to hold back his feelings, hand clutching at his chest as his rage continued to rise and fall, giving way to sadness and confusion.

"Before the twins we... We had another child." he said, breathless and looking at the ground as his vision blurred before refocusing. "Had. We didn't even have time to name him. He shifted, changed into some kind of monster. Not a demon, some awful spawn... She was terrified, crying over losing him and it began to attack."

"Moved on clawed appendages, its body small and still like a fucking infant... Th-That fucking face. I had to protect her, had no time to think as it tried to slash her throat open." he continued to rasp and shake, loosening his grip on his jacket.

"I drove it into the corner and pummeled it with my fists, until I was sure it was dead."

Jakob was horrified to hear that. It now made sense, why Camille was so distant when she sent that first letter. It must have been horrible to witness that as first time parents. It was a pain Jakob never experienced but he understood it perfectly. "...you did what you had man, you protected your wife... it's not your fault, it's that demons fault, he'll pay for what he's done to you and Camille and everyone in the Inquiry. I promise you that..."

"I don't give a fuck what happened to me." he shot back, looking through Jakob as he suddenly pried his sword from the bar again. It was a relieving sight that he decided to sheathe it as quick as he retrieved it.

"She didn't deserve that. I might have, but not her." Hudson shook his head. "She didn't tell me... Probably wanted to protect me. Or... Not blame her for it."

Wesix spoke up. "Neither of you deserved it. Sazak is one of the most vain demons in the Abyss. And can hold grudges for eons." he said, inspecting the gash Hudson's sword had carved into the bar. "She likely did something Sazak didn't like. That's all it takes."

He glared at Wesix, the speed at which he swiveled his head to do so rather telling of his emotional state. "He fucked with the wrong person." Hudson replied. "I fight to atone for what I've done. Every slash and blow I suffer fighting you fucks is what righfully comes to me. She's only guilty of trying her best to make the world a better place."

"That demon fuck went and clipped her wings, robbed her of one of the happiest moments of her life. I don't care who or what he is, I don't care if he can stop my heart just by looking at me. I'll kill him, or die down here trying..."

Wesix smiled, glancing up to Hudson. "I hope one of you do kill him." he said softly. He then straightened up and spoke again. "Also, the last demon that could kill you by looking at you was Raznigon. He died because someone fought him using a mirror."

He didn't know how to respond to that bit of trivia, merely glancing back to Jakob before he started to walk off again. "I'm going to get that damn food." Hudson said as he departed for the kitchen. Now his mind was in an even worse state since his episode and that nightmare. Thoughts raced and memories crashed upon him one after the other. His shadow demon will have plenty of ammunition for their fight.

Jakob nodded at Hudson as he walked away, then looked at Wesix who mentioned a seemingly random bit of trivia. "...is that some sort of mystical puzzle clue? or... ah, whatever..." he sat down near the counter and then looked back at Wesix. "Give me the strongest whiskey you've got, I certainly need it after that."

Wesix smiled. "It certainly wasn't a mystical clue or anything. He did say something about Sazak stopping his heart with a look." When Jakob asked for the strongest whiskey they had, Wesix chuckled. "The strongest whiskey I have would kill you. Lets aim a few notches down, shall we?" He turned and fetched another top shelf bottle, popping the top off and pouring the man a glass. "Enjoy...and could someone please pick the lady up off the floor?" he said, before motioning to Loque.

Henderson had some time to settle in back on the train. After taking car of his own hygienic necessities he shaved the patches of fur that were beginning to form on his face. Content with his look for now, he headed to the bar. Mind as well see what the Abyss can do in terms of drinking. He entered the bar whilst whistling a tune he remembered from a long time ago. Stopping when he took notice of the surroundings. Loque was on the floor, the bar counter had suffered some damage and that smell...it was the smell of anger, hatred and a tinge of sorrow. The same smell Theodore had on him when he came down to the basement on that day. It was now coming from Hudson. Something new must have pissed him off if he's giving off that smell. That explains the damage.

Henderson stepped over Loque as he walked to the counter while still whistling and sat down.

"Give me whatever she had." He said while pointing at the unconscious demon

Takato continued sitting at the table in the room he was in, contemplating further what a shadow variant of himself would entail, what it would entail for the others, and what it was that would define this version of himself. At some point however, he felt he was just going in circles, repeating himself repeatedly. So, he got up and walked around the train a tad, before passing by the bar as Hudson entered it. Hearing discussion of the Lich King made him turn his head, and he entered the bar, standing by the side to see what was the topic at hand.

Takato certainly did not expect to learn even more of what had happened in years prior - though saddened by some of these revelations, it made him ponder on the shadows they'll be facing. Hearing Wesix's plea, he walked over and helped Loque off the floor, placing her on a chair where she likely wouldn't fall off, before deciding to stand next to Venextos this time and give Wesix a thumbs up.

"I'll take an Atracan Brandy, the best one you have." Venextos spoke to Wesix as he turned to see Takato now standing next to him. "You can sit rather than stand and tire your legs monsieur." he joked.

Takato chuckled in response: "Tiring, this isn't, Grand Magus," he responded in the same tone as Venextos.

"Besides, a drink from the bar interests me not at this time. Intoxicants aren't something one should needlessly partake in, after all," he stated, presenting a somewhat temperant view, "though a medicinal substance would be reminiscent of home, one in which alcohol is infused with herbs and other ingredients, a balance struck..."
