Fantasy Humanoids In Baskos

His trance was broken by a sudden light weight pressing down on him. His vision returns and shes pinning him to the ground, having fallen on him. Surprisingly, she is not heavy at all, but this sudden closeness of her face to his and the floral scent is wrecking havoc on his inexperienced brain. He likes her this close, but he knows it was an accident, looking down to see her ankle red. "Umm..hi..." he could only muster with an awkward smile.

Her face was hot as she stared at him, this was the closest she ever been to a guy before. He smelled nice at least like a forest, she flushed harder at her thought. "C-can I touch your hair, it's really pretty." Her voice was soft and low and she still was laying on him.

"Uh..Sure, by all means." he stammered out. No one ever wanted to touch his hair, mainly because its kept in the hat, and mostly no one has been interested in him like that before. Now he was comfortable with her weight on him for some reason, like it was a natural thing. The Kuma, whom he talked with often told him little of females and what to expect, but nothing like this. Hopefully she wont attack him.

She begin to softly stroke his hair, it felt nice and soft. As she was doing that she started to hum. "Your hair is really nice, it very long for a boy's."

"Well, I cannot cut it. It goes against tradition. The hair is a connecting point for certain energies." he said while listening to her hum a tune as she stroked his hair. It felt really nice. Something in the back of his mind is telling him he needs to do something now, but he cant fathom what it is. "Would you mind if I just held you close?" He asked absently.

She nodding, feeling strangely content. She had never felt this way before and it felt quite nice. "You also smell good, like a forest." She give him a soft smile.

Holding her close, he comments, "You also smell like a garden in spring." He just loses himself in the moment, just lying there with her closer than anyone or thing has ever been. He can almost see her energy tangling with his as the forest catches the breeze, cooling them off during the heat of the day.

Ava giggles, a garden, well she did have one. She look at him for a little before asking "I feel strangely happy like this and I've never felt this way before, do you know what this feeling is." Her question is innocent and she gives him a questioning look.

"The bears and stag have told me quite often that men and women of all species are meant to be together, but it gets lost in feelings. Maybe this is a good feeling, but I cannot put it into words. It is like a forming bond, not like a parental bond, but deeper, maybe lo---" he cuts off as soon as he realizes it. It is the little spark that will cause a total conflagration and yet he cannot see beyond it.

She bites her lip, was this man going to say love, no she just met him, it couldn't be that. Ava quickly gets off him and brushes herself off. "Well it was nice meeting you but I must be going, " her voice is cold and she begins to walk away.

"Well it was a pleasure meeting you. Please take care." He said, confused. He does not lie, but she seemed mad. Did he say something wrong?

He is left confused. "I...I am sorry...." he says to the wind of her passing. Alone again he cries inwardly.

She sighs, why did she just leave like that, he was really nice and being with him made her happier then she'd ever been. She stands for a moment before running back to him. "I'm also sorry, I just.."

He looks up, and tries to smile. "It is quite confusing. But I should apologize, I made a rush judgement. Please forgive me." He apologizes humbly. She was standing above him, and yet he did not feel sadness, it was more of a deep loneliness coming from his core.

"It's not that I don't like you, cause even standing here, I'd like to be in your arms again." She blushes hard as the words come out her mouth. "It's just that I've just met you and isn't it way to soon to feel this way." She looks a little scared.

"I feel the same way, I want you in my arms, but my heart and head are fighting over that very point. so to end the fighting in our selves, lets just let things grow like a flower." He tried to put it rationally. It was really too soon to feel that way, but things happen for reasons unknown. "In better words, let us get to know each other better and see where the path leads us." he says with a smile. Still very confused, since she does not have razor sharp claws or looking to drag him off.

She nods at his words and give him a smile. "Well if you want us to get to know each other, let's ask question." She grasp his hands "can you dance?"

Letting her take his hands. "I can do a Bon dance, but sometimes when cleaning I just enjoy dancing as I clean." he replies. "Yes, questions help us learn about each other." he smiled.

"It would be my pleasure." He answered honestly. He rises and bows to her, and offers her his hand to use to help her up.

The dance began with her taking the lead, and he allowed her to. The pace was slow, but beautiful, and the closeness returns. It was also a form of questions and answers, as each person put their heart into it, and replied in kind.

She reaches up and strokes his cheek. "I'm glad I met you, like I didn't know that I would meet a guy like you, but I'm really glad I did."

Dead leaves and twigs alike crackled somewhere off aside from the happy group. Steps slow, heavy yet purposeful. With filth from her head to her boots, Holic pushed on through the overgrown branches with a bit of a stumble. Saying she looked like death was putting it kindly, she would rake her hair back but it was knotted with mud and her fingers only pulled her scalp back enough to make her hiss, something damp touching her fingertips. What was that? Blood? She brought her hand down, tacky with it, sitting in the grooves of her palms and the tiny whorls of her fingertips. Ah, yes. Blood. But not only her own. A frown pulled down her brows, her forehead and cheeks the only ‘clean’ part of skin, due to her sweating and constant rubbing, evidently confused as to how the blood got on her hands.

“H'nm.”

It wasn’t unusual for her to forget, but it didn’t often happen. She shuffled her way, licking her dry lips then spitting grit and blood into her sleeve, her footfalls heavy, exhausted after last night’s events.

Humans. Sickening, foul creatures. To be so cruel in judging the different, not only judge, but to hunt and kill, like some kind of sport. Well, Holic wasn’t about to let these kinds of hunts go unpunished.

Every now and again, when word of another dead humanoid became too much the lone female slipped in the night, with stealth on her side she masked her presence by ways of becoming an animal of some kind, killing humans as they came, innocent or not she detested them all.

It must’ve been strange on such a warm and sunny day for a darkly dressed and near gory-looking being to be walking through the greenery of the forest, not too far from her there was a happy gathering too. A few faces she recognized, seeing as all if not most humanoids had been chased into this area of the woods.

Passing at just enough of a distance to make out features and figures her gaze settled upon a couple dancing, laughing as merrily as though the world were right once again. Perhaps to dance once the world WAS right would be appropriate, but now she only saw it as foolish and silly.

Shifting her backpack on her shoulder the young woman shifted direction, headed for her own refuge, an old hunting cabin, built by human’s eons ago and restored by her own hands. She was looking forward to a bath, and food and perhaps some distracting activities such as a more peaceful, calming walk.

Blushing, "I am quite honored and glad to have met you. It makes the burdens I bear easier to handle, now that I have felt your kindness." he said. Jofune smiled as Ava stroked his cheek. She truly was a kind and gentle person. It hurt him to think of anyone being as cruel as to want to hurt her.

Her antenna twitch as she suddenly broke from his arms. "I uh felt someone else out there." She looks around quickly. "Maybe a human.."
