COLIN HARVEY
DROPSHIP THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE NAMED
DYING IN SPACE

"Yeah, yeah, I've got i-" Colin said before being cut off by rounds impacting the dropship turret. Most of them hit the glass but miraculously didn't break it, but they did break the turret if the sparking and popping coming from the ammo belt was any indication.

"Turret down!" Colin yelped as he scrambled away from the death trap. "I-I-I've got this, I've still got this. Uhhhh, turrets!" Colin said, pulling out his universal hacking device and fumbling with the keys.

"Jus-just give me a minute!" Colin said, obviously panicked.

Trevor banked to the right to maintain some additional space from the anti-aircraft emplacement. He looked at Colin with a mix of annoyance and anger. "Whatever you're going to do- do it faster."

Drew checked his mag counter and saw he was still good, everything was running smooth so far in his mind, that was until a burst of what marines enjoyed calling the 20MM nuggets of freedom burst into the command center, and then that created a vaccum. Drew clenched his left fist and blade that ran along the bottom of his left arm shot out, and he buried it into the floor to avoid being spaced. He then saw Braum's triangular ass stuck in the ceiling. "Whoever just shot out the fucking ceiling, congratulations, you just earned yourself a round in the ring with me when we get back!" he yelled over the comms he then saw Callahan get shredded in front of their collective eyes, he then saw a tall alien seemingly appear out of nowhere. Cloaking tech... he thought to himself before more grunts using energy sword thingies flooded the command center "We don't have time for this shit!" he yelled as he ran up to where Braum was stuck, he then jumped and wrapped his arms around his waist, earning both men a hard landing on the floor.

He then stood and he activated the power that shrinks on earth gave him when he shot up the aliens magic super duper serum. His entire body felt like it was on fire and that he was 8 feet tall and indestructible. Anyone who was keeping tabs on the squads status readouts would notice that his oxygen intake had doubled and his heart rate was abnormally accelerating. A sword wielding grunt charged him, and he moved faster than a normal man in powered armor should have with a sidestep before delivering a right punch that caved in the helmet the grunt was wearing. "Oh yeah, now its time to party you dirty alien fucks, let's do this!" he said motioning for another vornem to challenge him with both his hands.

FARADAY

"Copy that, Vulcan 1," With the confirmation of thirty seconds left till the bombers hit, Faraday high tailed it out of the crew quarters, loading his shotgun as he went. No time for fancy ghost-loading, only a quick reload. Faraday went for his belt and grabbed four shells from his shell holder. Gripping the shells tight, he slid them into the shotgun's chamber two at a time before grabbing another four shells to load. In moments, Faraday had eight shells loaded as he rendezvoused with the rest of the team at the command center.

The moment he returned to the room, her heard the comms from Python 1. Crap. They were were now stuck in a hostile air with half of their bombers dead. Wouldn't be the worst situation Faraday had seen though. What happened next, Faraday saw coming miles away, but not everyone had the luxury of his vision. A Vornem managed to walk right into the squad's faces without anyone noticing and lobbed off Callaghan's arm and swatted the explosives expert aside like a fly. Faraday brought his shotgun up to fire on the new unit, but quickly put his gun down when Sanderson engaged in close combat. No way Faraday was going to take a pot shot and risk friendly fire. Instead, the Pararescueman focused his attention on Callaghan.

Faraday slid over to where Callaghan lay, popping off a few shots with his shotgun before turning to the Irish-man. He slid his titanium visor up so that he could get a better view of the wound. Luckily the stump of Callaghan's arm was cauterized by the plasma blade that dismembered it. There wasn't any need to stop the bleeding. Only shame was that it wasn't his prosthetic. It would've been easier for everyone involved if it was. Attaching his shotgun to a hardpoint, Faraday reached into his medic bag and pulled out an adrenaline shot for Callaghan. The last thing they needed to happen was the Irishman going into shock from losing a limb. Jabbing the syringe into Callaghan, Faraday then reached to help the injured man up, "C'mon, get up Callaghan! You ain't dead yet, and you ain't gonna under my watch."

"Ahah, got it!" Colin yelled triumphantly as a static filled camera popped onto the screen of his hacking device. Inside the station, one of the turrets began to go round and round. "Uh, just need to get the hang of it, hold on!" Colin said, instinctually pressing a random button. High caliber rounds began to be shot around the room.

"Crap!" Colin yelped, trying to get the turret under control. The turret slowly swiveled to a stop, still firing, before Colin began to move it to face some Vornem. The little midgets began erupting blue blood seconds later. "Alright, got it!" Colin whooped as he began mowing down Vornem.

Kana

"Understood. Moving."

Kana got up from her spot, clipping her AMR to her back. Using the Advanced Optics built into her armor, she scanned the surveying area ahead of her, trying to find another AA gun lying around. There were more patrols coming into view as more and more Vornem forces were arriving. This was starting to feel more like a full out war than a simple scouting mission.

She quickly identified an incoming patrol that had some sort of hovering transport with them. Zooming her vision in, Kana saw that they had a second AA gun with them. She identified her target, resetting her vision and broke into a run, first running down the ridge and then around the side so that she would stay out of sight as much as possible. As she ran, she kept glancing up at the sky, making sure the dropship wasnt suddenly under fire.

Within a couple minutes, Kana could see the squad up ahead, no more than a few hundred meters. She reached down to her leg, drawing her side arm and one of her smoke grenades. She threw the ordinance ahead of her, the metal canister landing in the middle of the Vornem squadron. Before they could react, the grenade went off and a large cloud of dark smoke filled the area. Kana switched her vision to thermal as she ran into the thick of the smoke, aiming her pistol at the bodies she could see. By the time the smoke thinned out, the entire squad was dead and the AA gun was hers.

"I have control of one of the anti-air guns."

Kana looked over the weapon. It was a bit smaller than she expected, but seeing the type of ammo it fired, it packed a lot of power. She quickly disabled the floating transport, the whole thing dropping to the ground. Along with the gun was extra ammo beside it, a plus. There was a targeting interface on the top of the gun. It wasnt hard for Kana to figure out the controls and soon, she re-programmed it to target Vornem ships. She began loading ammo into the gun, letting its auto-targeting do the work for her. Soon, missiles began soaring into the air, slamming into the underbellies of unsuspecting Vornem ships.

"Oh wait fu-you wanted the flak guns, didn't you!?" Colin said, realizing his mistake. "Um, crapcrapcrapcrap" Colin repeated, installing an auto fire system into the turrets. "Well, uh, the turrets a bonus?" Colin said with a shrug as he pulled up the AA guns systems. Tapping keys at rapid speed, Colin said "This is wildly more complicated then you think!".

After a minute had passed, an AA gun on the side of the station lit up and began firing. "I'm in! And hey, turns out it's super easy to put auto fire in these things! The more ya know, am I right?" Colin said, beginning to hack into another AA.

Things were heating up, to say the least.

Multiple Vornem ships had shown up, with quite a number of them being neutralized or taking evasive maneuvers from Kana's captured anti-air gun. The new-arrival ships seemed to have come from the other side of the asteroid, but their shape and size suggests they didn't travel all the way from Vornem-land to the solar system. Squat, boxy, black transport ships hovering at high speeds towards the station. Some of the ships notice de Vries' spacecraft wreaking havoc on alien forces, and detach from the main formations to intercept and hopefully kill the human ship.

A response would soon materialize, as a few grunts, followed by a stout, bird-looking alien crept up on Kana's position, intent on silencing her and the captured AA gun. The first rounds crackle and land near her, as the bird-looking alien lines up a shot with its sniper rifle.

Wilhelm

As the sword grunts came in, Wilhelm's instinct was to kick the shit out of everything that came close. He didn't have time to wonder why they were resorting to melee weapon charges, or what the weapons themselves were capable of, seeing as they glowed with a slight blue tinge, suggesting some kind of bigger power at play. To him, the game of close quarters combat was simple: business end away from self, and stick enemies until they don't get up. Taking care of two sword grunts with some wide and tricky machete swings, he got out of the way just in time for Faraday's shotgun shells to blast a grunt into grisly bits.

All around the room was chaos. The regular grunts with guns seem to have backed off, allowing the big boys with swords to deal the final blow or something. That didn't stop the Swords from fighting back, however - despite the mean-looking armor and the gnarly blades that can cut through an EARS arm plate with no hindrance (rest in peace, Sean's other arm), these grunts really are just regular grunts. Hell, Drew was engaging them with his bare hands.

Wasting no time, Wilhelm activated one of his abilities, nicknamed the Finger of Doom. His right hand began glowing hot red at the finger tips, and the gloves automatically retracted, and he quickly got to put the Finger to good use, as he ducks under a grunt's lunge and gave it a good scrape across the stomach, piercing through its armor and scorching a few deep lines into the grunt's belly. Rising up to see another grunt bringing its sword-spear down onto him, he swung out his machete to block the thing just below its glowing blade, and mauled the grunt in the face with his burning fingertips.

Spinning around to see the big bad Vornem leader charging him head-on, Wilhelm went for a risky move: pinching his fingers at just the right time, he managed to intercept the alien blade with his superpowered fingers, actually stopping them in their tracks. Taking advantage, he wrenched his hand to one side, and swung at the Vornem's neck as hard as he could. The thing dodged, and his machete scratched its faceplate instead. Spinning to the side and wresting its sword free, the Vornem went for a swing at the back of his head, which he dodged with a bit of guesswork. What he didn't anticipate was the punch that followed, sending him forward towards more sword grunts.

The big Vornem leader resumed its momentum and charged at Drew.

Kana

Kana cursed under her breath as she heard the shots hit the ground around her. She reached for another smoke grenade, priming it and threw it down at the ground at her feet It went off a second after, covering her in smoke again. She switched her vision to thermal, trying to figure out where the shots were coming from specifically. She saw the small squad of grunts that were closing in on her position, as well as something different. They were a bird-like alien based on what she could see with her thermal vision. What weapons they were carrying, Kana couldn't identify. Judging by the bullet paths and the impact points, they weren't far. The smoke was starting to thin out, so she had to move quickly.

Kana turned to the AA gun. It was still on the floating transport. Quickly, she powered the AA gun off and re-activated the transport, kicking the transport off to the side. It glided above the ground towards a small crater nearby. Kana, on the other hand, ran in the opposite direction towards the enemy. She reached for her pistol and one of her stun grenades, switching off her thermal vision. She could see now that the bird-like thing was carrying some sort of scout sniper rifle hybrid, which explains why they needed to be so close. When she was within a few meters of the squadron, she threw the stun grenade up in the air, looking down. The grunts were too busy shifting their attention to her approaching and were suddenly blinded, the sniper included. Kana enabled her cloaking device, quickly running around the squad and got behind them. By the time the Vornem regained their senses, it would appear to them that Kana was gone.

With quick bursts from her sidearm, Kana quickly put holes in the back of the heads of the Vornem. The entire squad fell to the ground almost simultaneously. Kana looked down at the dead aliens, letting out a sigh. This was getting ridiculous. As she moved back to the AA gun, she reached out to the rest of the team over comms.

"My position was compromised again. The squad has already been dealt with and I'm headed back to re-activate the AA gun. I'm expecting more Vornem to deal with me."

Kana paused, thinking for a moment, then continued.

"Commander, if I may speak freely, we cant keep this up. If we stay any longer we risk getting wiped out here."

Kana reached where she had kicked the AA gun off to. Disabling the floating transport, she re-activated the gun and it continued its reign of terror on the Vornem ships up above.

"Well, that was humiliating."
Braum grunted as he finished completing the metal dome over himself, dropping on the ground. And apparently everyone seen it.
The shock trooper knew he wasn't living this down.
As the former factory worker got back up, Braum took stock. The big Vornem over there had just mauled Callaghan-he was down but not out. And apparently more grunts were coming to support the big man's advance. A grunt attempted to rush Braum and paid for it with a hail of incendiary MP42 rounds to the head.
"Back in, time for a little present."
Braum swapped to his FN G55, before forming a knife on the spot with his powers. Braum swiftly threw it at the big Vornem's leg, and made the knife heavier, hopefully breaking the thing's momentum.
Right after throwing the knife, Braum wasted no time opening fire on the big Vornem, FN G55 spitting incendiary rounds at the beast. Braum himself was running at the big Vornem, intent on blasting the thing to shreds.
"COME AND GET ME! WHAT'S THE MATTER, YOU VERDAMMT FREAK?! COME ON, I'VE GOT A LOT OF BULLETS WITH YOUR NAME ON THEM!"

"Shit!" Cursed de Vries as more bogeys appeared on-screen. The dropship began to move faster and faster then, just as Trevor performed a quick upwards turn, a cocktail of flares and ECM-projectiles were launched alongside various rapid jamming pulses in an attempt to confuse the Vornem ships. Before they knew it de Vries had positioned Vulcan 1 behind them.

De Vries narrowed his eyes and removed the safeties on the fixed nose-mounted weapons. "Chew on this."

A moment later a swarm of projectiles were spat out with their tracers going after the Vornem ships like a swarm of fireflies. Hopefully he could keep them at bay long enough for Kana and Colin to swat them out of the air.

The relentless onslaught kept mounting on and on. More Vornem dropships appeared over the horizon, adding to the chaotic battle. Vulcan 1 soared through space, gunning down ship after ship, while Kana's captured AA gun tore through incoming troop transports like a hot knife through butter. Inside SDS-445, the thicket of combat weaves more intricacies, as killing blow after killing blow was exchanged, under torrents of high caliber fire from a hacked turret. The Vornem infantry had been directed to hold off on their assault by Pureblood Attayu, who was now intent on killing off the Swords team with his cadre of melee warriors. Doesn't seem to be working out too well for the guy.

Reinforcements, however, have arrived. A flight of 6 interceptors, courtesy of the nearby CONE base on Titan, can be seen by de Vries as they send a barrage of missiles, impacting against the Vornem spacecraft that were keeping Vulcan 1 occupied. Freeing up the exfiltration craft, the flight of 6 broke formation and went after individual targets, as they seek to protect the one remaining bomber still airborne. Well, spaceborne.

Wilhelm

With liberal use of his Fingers of Doom and his machete, Wilhelm had freed himself of some more dirty Vornem. Taking his time, he took stock of the situation. Braum's attacks left the big bad guy vulnerable - hell, screw vulnerable, the guy's got a knife in his foot and incendiary rounds up his nose. Staggered, broken, humiliated, the bad guy delivered a mighty punch onto toblerone's face, knocking him off balance, and for a split second, Wilhelm saw the Vornem's armor flicker. Then, he was gone in a literal flash of light, along with most of his posse - they seem to have teleportation technology. The few remaining sword grunts, having sustained decent amounts of damage, were left outnumbered and outgunned as Wilhelm hacked them apart with more ease.

The room was silent, and Colin's hacked turret could be heard whirring, as it looked around for more targets. Wilhelm decided this shit was good enough. "Pack your bags, we're leaving. Vulcan 1, pick us up sharp-ish, we're making our way out!" Quickly climbing up out through the same entry hole they'd come in through, Wilhelm stayed up and waited for the rest of the team. Grabbing a firm hold of Sean and lifting his injured ass up out of the breach, Sanderson took in the scenery outside - ships and enemy infantry coming in from the distance, Kana being a one woman badass with a captured AA gun, CONE interceptors saving the bomber's ass, and de Vries pulling up beside them in a pinch.

The hacked turret opened up again, as the regular Vornem grunts panic and try to resume their assault. Even if those bastards make it through the turret, they'll find nothing, as the team loads up onto Vulcan 1 swiftly, and immediately take off. The remaining few who were able to pick off the turret came out only to stare at a quickly departing dropship picking Kana up from the ground, before a CONE bomber annihilated SDS-445 with its array of JDAM guided missiles. Returning to Titan base for debrief, Wilhelm finally sat down inside the dropship and took a long breath.

"Holy fucking shit, that was fun. You guys doing good?"

With the base bombed out and the interceptors pursuing the enemy bogeys it was time to hightail it out of here. After sealing the craft shut once Kana was onboard de Vries switched over to the long-range flight systems. Once several external pieces aboard the craft had been safely tucked away the ship was ready to head home.

The cockpit door opened just as Wilhelm spoke up. Chuckling could be heard from the pilot's chair followed by de Vries's response. "Feeling fine. A shame about those bombers though."

Kana

When she heard the Commander call it in, Kana took a moment to look around herself. The fighting had stopped. Most of the remaining Vornem ships had retreated and it seemed there was no sign of any more hostiles. She had no idea that the ones inside the space station teleported out, but it wasnt important. They were finally done here.

Kana looked down at the AA gun that had been a massive turning point for the fight. Not wanting to leave it around functioning, she took aim with her AMR at point blank, firing a round straight through the gun and disabled it. Kana then waited on the ground until the dropship swung by to pick her up.

Back onboard, she took a seat and let out a sigh of relief. She unclipped her AMR from her back and let it rest on the ground under the bench seat and reached up to her helmet, pulling it off her head. She kept her hair tied up however. Kana stared out the window as she watched the fireworks, the station they were just in minutes ago reduced to nothing but debris.

Kana looked over to Wilhelm as he spoke up. She couldnt lie that while she nearly died twice, this whole outing turned out to be a lot more entertaining than she expected.

"It was alright. Got more action than I expected I suppose."

She couldnt wait to get back to Titan. She wanted to take a bath.

After Drew had mangled the formerly living sword wielding assholes with his bare hands, the normal assholes seemed afraid to fight him. One of the sword grunts made a last ditch attempt at him. He easily reversed the sword stroke and killed the grunt with it's own blade. He removed the sword from its midsection where flesh and armor had been boiled into one, he found what looked to be a deactivation switch and flicked it, the glowing edge of the blade fading. He carried it out with him as trophy, but he wouldn't be surprised if he was forced to hand it over to the nerds at R&D.

He took a seat in the drop ship, he popped his helmet off and smoothed back his sweaty hair. He turned back to Wilhelm after he heard his question. "Well, I got to shoot, stab, and punch alien assholes while also getting a new toy. So I consider it a win." He said as he leaned back and relaxed. "But I tell ya, kicking ass makes you hungry, you guys down for hitting the watering hole at the station?" he asked as he pulled the mags from his AUG and Ruger.

"Well, that was quite the interesting encounter."
Braum was silent for a solid minute after evacuation, before grunting and leaning back harder in his seat. The shock trooper dusted himself off.
"So they teleport... bah. What's next, they find a way to insult my suit of armor?"
Braum was leaning against his seat even harder now, slightly exhausted but still good to go. That punch had knocked him off balance.
The Sword Battalion CQC specialist nodded at Wilhelm's ( Kabboom Kabboom ) question.
"I'm doing fine. You, sir?"

"But I tell ya, kicking ass makes you hungry, you guys down for hitting the watering hole at the station?"

Grinning, Trevor nodded and did a thumbs up. "Ain't gonna say no to some drinks. First round's on me." That said the pilot returned to the cockpit though he left the door open so that he could still hear the others. They were minutes away from relative safety as they ventured farther and farther into space. Hopefully the Vornem didn't have no long-range interceptors tailing after them.

Wilhelm

"Ah shit, the fly-boy's getting us one on the house! Wonder if they got lager back at base..."
Wilhelm pondered, as the dropship rumbled familiarly on its way back to base. He was getting the usual debrief requests, clearances and radio chatter on his suit, so he's set them aside for now. Headaches for later. There didn't seem to be any interceptors or anything tailing them, so that's lucky. "Oh, I'm doing fantastic. You guys did good out there. Kicked ass. Second round's on me."

Rumbling back into human space, Vulcan 1 and its payload of ass-kickers found themselves escorted by a pair of fighters, and de Vries was soon hailed and led to a high-priority hangar bay. The human base on the moon of Titan was humongous: sprawling transit tracks running around various separate installations, complete with observation towers, communications arrays, barracks and airfields. The latest in human space defense weaponry, the giant railgun installations, dotted the landscape and idly scanned the empty skies above them, as Vulcan 1 reared itself onto a landing pad.

Wilhelm

"Alright, that's touchdown."
Wilhelm stood up from his dropship seat, and walked out of the door. Technicians and officers running to and fro within the hangar bay never ceased to amuse and impress him; CONE's logistics and infrastructure was top-notch, even on a shitrock in outer space. As a squad car soon pulled up to provide transport for the entire squad, Wilhelm simply settled for a seat in the back. The car was en route to the nearest barracks, where they'd get debriefed, de-armed and hopefully get some rest.

Humored, Wilhelm asked. "Hey, who got the most kills?"

Max was second out of the dropship, groaning and dusting himself off.
"So these are Vornem? Good to know SMG fire will end their life as effectively as any other enemy."
"Urrrrrgh..."
Max grunted as he left the dropship, fully aware that he was about to draw snide comments of "toblerone man". Ah well, a mission over and now they knew who the Vornem were.
Upon hearing Wilhelm's ( Kabboom Kabboom ) question, Max shook his head.
"Nein, not me. I think me getting stuck in the ceiling hole may have had a part in it."
A pause.
"Please don't tell anyone else about this, we don't need jokes about how one of the elite got stuck in a roof."

Kana

For most of the ride, Kana was looking out the window, watching as they traveled through space. When the Titan base came into view, she couldnt help but be amazed by its scale. She had seen images and heard descriptions of the place before, but she had never actually been on location until now.

When Vulcan 1 touched down, Kana got up from her seat, picking up her AMR, her helmet under her arm. She went to the back of the squad car that pulled up, opening up the trunk and put the AMR inside, making sure to take out the mag and switching the safety to on. With that, Kana closed the trunk and took the open passenger seat in the front. Her gaze drifted into the general direction of Wilhem as he popped up another question.

"Doubt it was me. I didnt have swarms of Vornem after me."

"Titan Control this Vulcan 1 Heavy on approach. We're in the pipe and five by five," said Trevor while glancing out the window. A smirk appeared under his pilot visor upon seeing home once more. As he adjusted the thruster output a voice on the other end confirmed that Vulcan 1 was cleared to land. Moments later the dropship did just that and while everyone in the back grabbed their gear and prepared to leave de Vries lowered the rear ramp and pulled out his personal CONE datachip, wiping his data from Vulcan 1's onboard systems.
Normally a precaution during black ops or a tool during training these CONE chips would most likely see more widespread use as the onboard systems risked revealing flight paths to some of the more covert and sensitive facilities.

That said de Vries grunted to himself and grabbed his own personal items- as long as he was still breathing he'd never betray his own kin with that kind of information.

Stepping down the ramp Trevor nodded towards the maintenance technicians before catching up with his squad just in time to overhear the chatter about recorded kills. "My bet's on the bossman." He dumped his gear on one of the squad car seats and grinned at the others. "I guess we'll have to compare helmet feeds to confirm..."

He then looked at Max. "...and to immortalize something of high comedic value."

"Ten-Twenty"
about to make his epic entrance

As the brave soldiers of the Sword Battalion gathered up in their squad car, a gigantic presence moved across the hangar bay. There was a small mobile cart moving past the busy workers-usually used to transport a small amount of luggage around the area, this vehicle groaned in pain every once in a while in its travel. A giant piece of armor crouched on the back seat of the cart, looking around at the much bigger bay. The sheer size of the armor made it look way too big on such a small cart. Not to mention the driver that was hunched forward. It had so much space, and to make sure the two could actually ride, the driver was leaning forward intensely. Still he felt the cool metal push against his back. Whoever thought of this introduction was a genius of comedy. The silent ride continued until they found themselves in front of a freshly arrived dropship. Some technicians running past them broke into a fit of laughter as they saw the impressive scene.
A short tune of La Cucaracha played as the cart slowly came to a halt. The armored man slowly, steadily, and carefully lowered himself off the cart. As he finally lifted his body off the vehicle, its body rose at least three centimeters as it sputtered in joy. The driver stretched his back with a giant groan. Without a word the cart disappeared away, the armored man timidly waving at the disappearint driver. Then he turned back to the soldiers. He took steps forward, and with each people near him could feel the ground shake a little. He was about 250 kilograms heavy with himself and the armor after all. The giant pulled his helmet off and towered before the squad car.
"Greetings! How do you do?"
The man said.
"I am Hongjin Yun, a fresh soldier of the Sword Battalion. Not fresh in age to be exact."
The man cleared his throat and tucked the helmet under his arm.
"There has been a bit of a schedule that kept me from fighting by your side. It is a shame I could not accompany you to what happened back there.
"But now I am here, flesh and blood. I promis to stand with you until the day I fall. We shall achieve victory together!"
He said, finishing his short speech with a wide grin.

To: anyone who wants to talk to the big guy who just got off a golf cart and delivered a speech

"No way bro, I definitely take that title." he said as he heard de Vries say that Willy had the most kills. "Nothing survives up close." he said with a grin while he flexed his left bicep, looking momentarily at two good looking flight crew members. "I ain't saying that I'm badass or anything but... I'm pretty fucking good, am I right." He finished as he put up his left hand to max for a high five. He noticed the flight crewmen or crew ladies, whatever giggle. Then the big motherfucker obscured his vision. His face changed from a grin to a look of disbelief "What's the matter with you, asshole!" he yelled in dismay as he tried to locate the targets again, but they were lost to him. After finally managing to get around the iron giant he tried again in vain to locate them to no avail. "What's the big fucking idea dickweed." he snarled as he looked up into the big man's face after turning around. Obviously he did not know how big of a slight it was to cock block a fellow soldier. There would be hell to pay

Archer

William kept to himself for most of the trip back to base, pondering over the events of today. The encounter with the Vornems left the man much to think about; their 'cloaking' trick certainly put mankind's most advanced developments in stealth technologies to shame, and their presence so close to Titan base is nothing short of an urgent matter. The intelligence officer sighed as the thought of long, arduous debriefings crossed his recreation-deprived mind.

Saturn's sixth moon, Titan. As the dropship slowly decelerated for atmospheric entry, the settled region of the moon shimmered into view with its network of large solar panels installed above the thick clouds. Pass that, and with an announcement from Trevor to Ground Control, William was captivated by the view outside. Dense railway networks connecting depots, installations, weapon batteries, and looming over them all were the handful domes similar to those of Mars - marvels of human interplanetary colonisation effort. Upon joining the Swords Battalion, these domes had been his home. Within them were the main FOB of Swords Battalion itself; Outer-Rim Command - responsible for military actions beyond the Belt; and lastly, Hotel Xanadu - A very real dissection lab for aliens (when they actually get their hands on some). It is where efforts are made to research into alien technologies, as well as experimental tech inspired by the Confederacy to booster humanity's capability as to defend itself. The lab is connected with Swords FOB, as a majority of their innovations go to the Swords. It is also William's destination in the near future, as the nerds would no doubt want to get their eyes upon his squad's helmet feeds, seeing as they were the first to actually see the Vornems in person.

Stepping down the ramp, Archer was as surprised as anyone when a massive gentleman ambushed them. Exchanging looks with his CO and amused by Drew's outburst, he decided to be the first to respond to the speech. "Well said, mate. Welcome to the team."
