As known for all of the Scorpio's Mei is a hypersexual, super passionate, all-around difficult person. He's fiery and sharp. Quick-witted and fast with come backs. If you insult him he rounds over with something tens times more insulting and five times more likely to make you cry. But this being said, he's sensitive. He'll take your insult personally, even if he throws an even better one back, and will look in the mirror and repeat it to himself over, and over. This being said, he's also violent with words and easily gets himself into trouble with people he knows he shouldn't even think of messing with. He likes to tell stories, and tends to over exaggerate everything. If you told him a story that happened to you he'd tell one right off the bat that would top yours 20x over. This said, he's a real flirt. But he also enjoys it when people flirt with him or compliment him. He always depends on other's opinions to judge himself. At the end of the day, Mei is often known to break down and act tired or very different than he usually does. He blames it on being sleepy, but in reality he's accumulating everything from the day and taking it to heart.


Mei was born and raised in Hopping Bridge, plain and simple. He was born to a single foreign mother as his father walked away, taking all the money and everything the woman had. For the most part, the town was what raised Mei. He'd couch surf between homes since his mother had no money or job, because she was Japanese and had no way of getting an American job. The town helped with the child while his mother tried as hard as she could to learn the English language and get herself a job. She couldn't even leave Hopping Bridge because she had no money to support herself anywhere else. However, one day a crew of filmmakers went to Hopping Bridge and Mei's mother ended up running off with one of the actors of the film who was also Japanese. However she couldn't take Mei with her because the actor wanted no kids. Not to mention, with the town already taking over her parenting over her son she felt she wasn't needed. And Mei had barely ever seen her enough to consider her a mother.


It's rather small, but Mei lives in a studio apartment since he doesn't have anyone to live with.

Rune is a pleasant boy, though if you asked anyone they'd say he's a little bit of an airhead and in a lot of ways they're right, but he's very tune into emotions and has a well of trivial facts and knowledge that he just prefers not to flaunt. He's enjoys making people happy, going out of his way to flatter people and make them feel good, this if often confused with flirting, but to be honest Rune couldn't care less. He loves everything pastel and lives off of coffee, tea and over sized sweaters. Rune does have a bit of a manipulative streak, it goes hand in hand with him feigning innocent ignorance all the time, he'll never be upfront if he has a problem with someone, leading to very toxic relationships that he refuses to give up on.

Rune was born in the sleepy town of Hopping Bridge and never felt the need to leave, he's quite comfortable here after all. He grew up fairly standard, with 3 aunts and older cousins that doted on him( mostly based on the fact that he was the baby of the family and a boy, something that's rare for Alver) though being a family group of fairies did call for certain precautions such as insisting that his silver-blue hair was dyed and only going out in his other form when absolutely necessary.


Rune was very popular in school, girls would flock around him and boys would stay away, he learned very quickly that not everyone was quick to accept his cheery demeanor and eagerness to please others, that coupled with the way he dressed and his preference for other boys at school got him nicknames like "fake I'm uncultured" and many more that he wouldn't dare mention again. Sure, they hurt his feelings, but he never threw out one of his pink hairpins or lavender sweaters and eventually people came around and admired him.


When he got out of high school he decided to move out, which was tough, being without his family's constant praise and encouragement  proved to take a little bit of a toll on his confidence and he quickly learned that the complete silence of his new apartment was not going to work, so even though his aunts could easily pay for his place he decided to take up work at the local coffee shop.
