Realistic or Modern Home

Devon

I glance over at you before sighing softly. "Okay." I reply, silently thanking Alexandria for offering because in reality I wad scared to go home.

Alexandria

"No problem. And you can stay here anytime..." I emphasized the last word, easily guessing the situation from what I heard him whisper to her.

Devon

I nod my head, forcing a smile. "Thanks." I say quietly, crossing my arms and looking at the ground.

Arron Wilde

I was half listening, half day dreaming when two girls began to descend the stairs. At first I thought they might be figments of my imagination, but, somewhat to my surprise, the two girls came over and joined are group.

"Hello, Is everyone enjoying the party?" One said, leading me to assume she was likely a member of the host family. The other girl didn't say anything, she just stood there. She was approached by a man and women, I assumed they were her mother and father. after a short exchange between the girl, her probable parents, and the other girl, the two turned their attention back to us. I waited for a moment, giving my friends a chance to answer first, but neither of them did.

"Hey, the party's great." I said. "Sorry, they're freshmen." I added, looking back at my two friends, both still silent. They just smiled, and let their eyes wonder, avoiding eye contact with the girls. I laughed a little at the two, and then turned my attention back to the girls "I'm Arron by the way."

Alexandria

I held out a hand to shake his. "Pleasure to meet you, Arron. I am Alexandria..." I flashed him a perfect smile.

(Sorry these are short on my end. I'm on my phone and it's difficult to do so far.)

Devon

I give a small smile and nod nod my head. "And I'm Devon." I say and run my fingers through my long blonde hair. My eyes wonder over to the two other guys before resting my eyes on Arron.

Alexandria

I smiled even more as the boys looked us over, their cheeks tinting red. "It is very nice to meet you. Is this your first time at one of our parties? There's always plenty of girls in want of your affection..." I hinted at them to leave.

The girl, Alexandria, responded with a polite elegance, So polite and elegant, I hardly knew how to respond. The 2nd girl, Devon, was much less formal, though still very polite. I took Alexandria's hand, making sure to be very gentle, and shook it. "Pleasure." Then turning to Devon I took her hand, again being very gentle, and shook it as well. "Pleasure to meet you both."

After the quick greeting, Alexandria gave a quick remark to the two freshmen football players, my friends, though I'm a little embarrassed to call them that. It suggest their leaving, and at first the two stayed, standing in the same place, with the same dopy smiles. I looked back over my shoulder at them just in time to see the tiny gears in their heads start turning. They smiled at the girls, gave me a wave, and walked off into the crowd of people, talking with one another about who knows what.

I turned my attention back to the girls. "So, what school do you two go to?" I asked, not completely recognizing them. It is however, very possible they went to my school, I rarely saw anyone beside football players and cheerleaders outside of class.

I smiled through the entire exchange. "Lincoln Heights, as do you..." I had seen him around. "Although, I must say, I am a little insulted that you do not remember me. We had three class periods together this past year." I gave a small, polite laugh. "Though I am glad those boys picked up on the hint to leave. I did not appreciate the looks we received."

Devon

I cross my arms and look at the ground. "I also go to Lincoln Heights." I say, and give a small smile as I look back towards Arron. I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and run my hands down my dress.

I felt bad, I honestly didn't remember them. "Really?" I almost couldn't believe it, spending that much time in one room with the same person, and not even knowing they were there. I was looking down at the ground, feeling a little ashamed, when I over heard Alexandria whisper to Devon, about her dress. Devon seemed concerned by her dresses appearance, or her appearance in the dress more likely. "You look great." I said to Devon. "You both do." I added, looking back to Alexandria, my voice a little more sincere, and a look on my face a little less polite, and slightly more genuine. Not to say I wasn't sincere or genuine with Devon, she did look great, and I meant what I said, but something about Alexandria, well, I don't know, there was just something about her.

(Sorry this is my last post for a few hours, I have to go somewhere, I'll be back later this afternoon, and will have much more time. Sorry about that.)

I smile slightly. "Thanks." I murmur and look back down to the ground. I run my fingers through my hair and take out my phone as I get a text. I look at it and frown as I see it's from my step dad. "Uhm... Is there anywhere private I can go?" I ask, not really wanting to read the message with so many people around.

Alexandria

"Thank you..." I said with a smile, "And don't feel bad for not remembering me. I usually sit in the front corner of the room and do not have to speak loudly for the teacher to hear me..." I looked at Devon when she got the text, and saw the look on her face. "If you need me to have a word with him, I will..." I said softly to her, gesturing to Briana's room again. "You may go to my sisters room if you do need the privacy, though."

Devon

I force a smile and shake my head. "No, it's okay." I murmur, and quickly go upstairs and go into Briana's room, shutting the door behind me. I let out a shaky breath before opening the text. I read the text carefully and close my eyes. I take a few breaths and lean against the door.

Devon

I stay in the room for a few minutes before coming out and walking back downstairs and standing next to Alexandria. I give a small forced smile in greeting and turn my phone on silent, so I wouldn't know if I got another text.

Devon

I run my fingers through my hair and then I cross my arms , going along with the conversation.

"I have no idea. Maybe San Fransico State University. Maybe UCLA. I did get accepted there. Now I just have to choose." I say and rub the back of my neck.

Arron Wilde

"Yeah, It's something like that for me also." I said, scratching my head. It wasn't true, I was in a much different situation, but I didn't feel like explaining it, so I lied.
