Short Backstory: Eddie grew up in rural Scotland, and has a reasonably normal childhood, going to a tiny school, and getting average grades. His childhood only appeared different due to his identity, and having struggles with his gender and name. He lived with his human mother and her boyfriend.
He realised he wasn't quite as normal at 13, when he was being harassed by high school bullies, and they were suddenly strung up to the ceiling by vines that had sprouted from seemingly nowhere. He was pulled out of school for his own safety by his mother, and had everything explained to him.
He was homeschooled to the age of 18, also studying Greek mythology and learning what exactly his powers were. He learnt to control them, careful to avoid detection by any mythical creatures, and simply using his powers as little as possible after establishing a basic level of control. He mostly focused on learning throwing knives for self-defence. It was still mostly luck that he wasn't discovered, mostly down to the rural location where he lived.
At 19, he moved out, and went to a city, where he set up a business illegally selling alcohol he made with his powers, quickly earning a reputation for how incredible it tasted, seemingly adapting to each persons tastes. It was at this point that he first saw a monster, who clearly knew what he was, and had to fight for his life. He got an email a few days later, telling him about some safe haven for people like him.

Likes: Researching historical fashion for hours with no actual goal, snakes, lizards and birds, vaugely punk/folk punk music (AJJ, the mountain goats, fall out boy, cage the elephant), ramen noodles
Dislikes: Parties (ironically), crowds, snow/the winter
Character traits: Eddie comes across as rude and standoffish when people first interact with him. He seems to be incredibly overconfident, and self-absorbed. This, of course, comes from a deep insecurity in his identity. He's always expecting to be told he's wrong, and therefore comes across as defensive when he has nothing to defend from. He switches between that and acting carefree and like nobody's opinion matters but his. Growing up fairly isolated, he's unsure how to interact any other way. He wants to be in meaningful relationships, but it feels like there's a vast chasm between him and everyone else. In entirely unrelated news, he's autistic.

  Maja has a pragmatic, unenthusiastic, and teasing personality that is mostly shown to those she finds irritating. Despite that being said, she is not always like this though, as she does enjoy socializing with others, in which case she is usually nice and friendly. She is surprisingly organized and makes sure to convey her ideas in a way that's easy to understand. Being the demigod of an olympian goddess, it is essential for Maja to have her own fighting style and over the years, she's developed a specific style that lets her shine the most. While Maja may not be strong when it comes to fighting enemies one on one, she's excellent at lending support to those who are. She gets into battles ensuring that she gets to use her ability to the fullest, which means she is, more often than not, accompanied by someone who can lead from the front. Short Backstory: Two days after Shaun was born, Poseidon left his mother. His mother was saddened but eventually married another man, a guy in his late 30s called Mark Jebberson. Mark was actually rich, having multiple companies involving the production of oil, technology, etc. So, Shaun grew up in a rich lifestyle, which is something he's always been uncomfortable with, and never really wanted to use the money publically. One problem he always had, was his step-father. His step-father recently expanded his oil business to oil mining the ocean floor, something Shaun was heavily against. This created a wedge between the two, even shocked when his own mother supported Mark's business expansion.

He experienced his first monster attack at 17. He was hanging out with friends by the beach, they were picking up pieces of garbage from the shores. A giant sea Python slithered from the ocean and attacked them. He crushed the Sea Python with a wave of water that had built up tons of force. He found out who he was after that attack, and approached his mother. His mother spilled everything to him, with a lot of crying in the process.

  Weaving; Her hands can move with blazing speed to make a rope with threads. This rope can restrain demigods and semi-powerful monsters. It is the weaker version of the Weaving status. It takes a while to create a super long rope and can only be done twice a week
  Weapon Omniscience; She can know everything about a weapon - how it works, how much ammo it holds, how it was made, its weak points, etc. - just by gazing upon it. She must be able to clearly see the weapon in order to gain any of this information. This does not mean that she is able to use it perfectly as knowing is half the battle, but she has the knowledge of the weapon.
  Expert Technician; She has the ability to study blueprints and how to fix things and then correctly fix those items, making the person able to fix most mortal things. She can also build them.
  Weapon Curses; She is able to place one of the three following curses on a weapon:
  - Temporary blindness - the demigod who touches the weapon loses all sense of sight for ten minutes or two posts.
  - Temporary madness - the demigod who touches the weapon undergoes minor madness for ten minutes or two posts.
  - Faulty Weapon - the weapon is completely unusable in a battle for up to three days

  Fire Immunity; He is rendered immune to fire and extreme heat (Greek fire does not apply). He can also sense when the fire is near him and locate it.
  Summon Hammer; He is able to summon a war-hammer to use as a weapon in battle. It can then be dismissed when not in use.
  Teleportation; He can teleport from one place to another in a column of fire. This takes a large amount of energy and may only be done twice a week.
  Complex Machines; Using the scrap parts around him, he can create small but complex machines and trinkets to aid him in tasks or help ward off an opponent. He can only use two of these machines in a day.
  Fire Whip; He can summon a “fire whip”, which acts like a normal whip but can be summoned and appears to be on fire. The fire will not burn the opponent, but it will sting when hit. The whip can disappear if hit with water or ice, causing it to sizzle out.
  Machine Expertise; He is able to fix any mortal item and form of transportation. He can also understand and almost communicate with a machine so that they can operate the machine with no prior experience with it. They can also sense the faults in a machine and are able to fix them.
  Blood Boil; He can increase an opponent's temperature for a couple of minutes, making them feel feverish. This will render them unable to fight and weak. This can only be used once a month.
  Curse Objects; He can place one of the following curses on any object he possesses:

Any machine will be able to have effects he can reasonably build into a machine, but cannot have any magical abilities (ie - a machine could fly if he built it to, but it can’t freeze anything it touches) He can only use one of these machines once in a month.
  Lavafall; He can create a thin stream of lava to shoot at an opponent, giving them second-degree burns. If the lava misses the desired target, it will fade away rather than burning what’s around it. This can be used three times a week.

  With his rather explosive nature, Carlos generally is cheerful and hyperactive. He tends to shout to express his thoughts and goals, much to the annoyance of some of those around him, and often in spite of other people's opinions. To compensate for his crippling handicap (He's disabled in his right arm- It's a bionic limb but its not fireproof...And he does a lot of fire based stuff so-), Carlos has trained extensively since he was 5, granting him astoundingly great strength, speed and stamina.

She thought she was going to die, but then a swarm of doves dropped down and attacked them. That distracted them long enough for her to run away, and told her dad when she got home. Her dad barricaded the house and kept them both inside. Her dad told her everything, homeschooling her from then on until she got that email...
